Unfortunately, Far Cry 5 cannot be shared with other Steam users through the Family Sharing option.

Some gamers have encountered an issue where Steam stops downloading Far Cry 5. Once you are sure you have enough hard drive space, try restarting Steam. If this doesn't work, restart your computer and then change your download region in Steam. If this doesn't work, then it may be a server-side problem.

Players still using Windows 7 as their primary operating system may encounter the “Direct3D 11.1 API is not available” error. To solve this problem, you can update the operating system and install all updates.

Far Cry 5 is slow. Low FPS. Frisit. Lags

If Far Cry 5 slows down or shows low level FPS, then first of all we advise you to reinstall the video card drivers, this can significantly increase FPS in Far Cry 5. Also, if necessary, install latest version Microsoft Visual C++ 2010, DirectX and Microsoft Net framework.

If all of the above did not help in any way, and you still experience low FPS and slowdown in the game, then change the graphics settings when you first start it. First of all, disable anti-aliasing, and reduce the detail and draw distance settings in Far Cry 5. You can also disable post-processing settings, most often they require a lot of PC resources, and disabling them will significantly increase the game performance and will not greatly affect the quality of the picture.

It is also worth downloading the first day patch after installing the game and updating the game before launching. Perhaps this will help you avoid most of the problems.

Far Manager is a free console file manager in Russian and English (has a multilingual interface). Its functionality is similar to any other file manager, for example, Total Commander. It has a built-in text file editor similar to Notepad, but with syntax highlighting. It is possible to change file encoding, as well as many other useful functions.
The interface is simple, columnar, like the Norton Commander file manager from MS-DOS, the forefather of Windows.

Where to download Far Manager

Far Manager is distributed free of charge, you can download the program version on the official website: http://www.farmanager.com/download.php?l=ru. Below we will describe how to change the interface language to Russian.

Installing and configuring Far Manager

Does not require special settings or assembly. You simply download the installer and install Far Manager as a regular program. However, you can always make your own adjustments. For example, by default, the font in the interface is quite small.

List of abbreviations and their meanings:

  • RMB - right mouse button;
  • LMB - left mouse button.

To increase it, you need to go to the properties of the shortcut on the desktop, find and increase the font (RMB (right mouse button) on the shortcut - Properties - Font)

  1. Selecting the font Lucida Console
  2. A new font size scale will appear. Choose the size according to your taste, for example, 20

As a result, the interface will become more convenient

Now you can change the interface language to Russian. To do this, open Far Manager and press F9 - Options - Languages. In the window that appears, select Russian language

In general, at this stage the initial setup is complete. Next, we will learn how to use this program, or rather, read and perceive the interface.

How to use Far Manager

To begin with, about the interface design of this program.
The interface consists of columns in the central area, a control panel at the bottom and an information panel at the top. The speakers in the center are two global compartments. Each compartment can have one or more columns, by default two.
A bay is a file-level system of a specific disk. To move higher in the level, you need to move the cursor using the arrows on the keyboard or the mouse to the highest position on the symbol.. and press Enter. To go to a subdirectory of the current directory, move the cursor to it and press Enter. You can also use your mouse; double-clicking on the catalog will take you to it. To change the drive, you need to use the hotkeys Alt + F1 or Alt + F2. Now in more detail about the interface and with illustrations:

About the control panel - the numbers are indicated there. Each number means a panel index with F1-F12 on the keyboard

  1. F1 - help - reference for Far Manager. At least briefly study the reference book, many questions will disappear by themselves
  2. F2 - user menu. An unnecessary option at first
  3. F3 - view file contents. Catalogs show their size
  4. F4 - edit files. On directories, calls up a menu for changing attributes
  5. F5 - copy selected files and folders (directories). Selection is made using the Insert, Ins or RMB button (right mouse button). Also, you can copy files by dragging and dropping
  6. F6 - transfer selected files and folders (directories). Selection is made using the Insert, Ins or RMB button. Also, you can hold Shift and transfer files with LMB (left mouse button)
  7. F7 - create a directory (folder) in the current directory (folder)
  8. F8 - delete a folder or file. You can delete several files and folders at the same time by first selecting them with Insert or RMB
  9. F9 - mentioned this command. Calls up the options menu at the top. Study it, it may be useful
  10. F10 - close Far Manager
  11. F11 - brings up a list of Far Manager plugins with the possibility of further configuration, as well as some other additional functions.
  12. F12 - built-in screens. Far Manager allows you to use multiple copies of the file viewing and editing program. This button allows you to quickly switch between them, displaying full list open screens. Use F1 to learn more about this feature. This option is for advanced users

By the way, it is worth noting that Far Manager has the ability to control the mouse. Thus, the entire control panel below is easily controlled by LMB. Personally, I don’t use this option, because I find it more convenient and faster to use hotkey combinations, but I admit that for some people it will be more convenient to control the mouse.

Also, if you hold down Alt or Shift, additional buttons will appear in the control panel. Thus, hotkeys and additional commands are collected in Far Manager.

Far Manager Commands

Or, as it would be more correct to say, the hot keys on the keyboard that you most often have to use:

  • Ctrl + O - show or hide the panel and console contents
  • Tab , Shift + Tab move between left and right compartments
  • Shift + 2 - change the number of columns in the global compartment. Instead of 2, you can use any button from 1 to 9. Default is 2
  • Alt + F9 - switch from windowed mode to full screen and vice versa
  • Home — move to the beginning of the list of files and subdirectories of the current directory
  • End — move to the end of the list of files and subdirectories of the current directory
  • PageUp - move to the top of the list of files and subdirectories of the current directory
  • PageDown — move to the bottom of the list of files and subdirectories of the current directory
  • Ctrl + PageUp - move to the directory 1 level higher
  • Ctrl + F1, Ctrl + F2 - move to the directory 1 level higher in the left (Ctrl + F1) and right (Ctrl + F2) compartments
  • Ctrl + A - shows the properties of a file or folder (directory, directory). You can immediately change and save changes. For example, you can change the file creation date

  • Insert, Ins, RMB - selecting files one at a time for mass manipulation of them (transfer, copy, delete)
  • Shift + PageUp, Shift + PageDown - selecting files for subsequent mass manipulation (transfer, copy, delete)
  • Alt + F6 - create a symbolic link
  • Shift + F1 - pack selected files and directories into an archive

  • Shift + F2 - unpack the selected archive into the specified directory

  • Alt + F1 , Alt + F2

A dialog box opens with suggestions for selecting a disk, as well as other options; as a rule, the list is compiled by plugins (NetBox, WinSCP, registry editor, folder for temporary files, network access, list of processes)

  • Alt + F7 - search among files in the current directory

It is better to leave the file mask free *.*, then the search will take place in all files. If you need to search, for example, only among php files, that is, those with the .php extension (for example, index.php and db.php), use the *.php mask.
You can change it at your discretion.
You can also select the required files and folders (directories) using the Insert button on the keyboard, then place the cursor on one of them to search only within them.

  • Alt + Insert - useful if you want to copy text from the console

While in the console, you simply press the hot keys Alt + Insert (the cursor will change its shape), then use the mouse or use the arrows and, holding Shift, select the desired piece of text and copy it using Enter

Far Cry 4, the game crashes, black screen on startup, then this is for us. Often gamers get an error when starting Far Cry 4 or the game crashes to the desktop. We will help you get rid of crashes in Far Cry 4, as well as errors when starting the game. For some players who decided to play the new part of Far Cry, it simply did not start. All you need to do is download and install the necessary software for games, or, as a last resort, do some minor manipulation of the files.

Minimum system requirements Far Cry 4 games:

OS: Windows 7/8 x64 Processor: Intel Core i5 @ 2.6 GHz or AMD Phenom II X4 @ 3.2 GHz RAM: 4 Gb Disk: 30 Gb Video card: nVidia GeForce GTX 460 or ATI Radeon HD 5850 (1 Gb) DirectX: 11

To successfully run the game Far Cry 4, your operating system must be 64-bit; you can check the bitness of Windows here. The minimum DirectX supported by your video card must be version 11. The game should start . The installation path for Far Cry 4 must not contain Russian characters (c:/game/farcry4). The username in the system should also not contain Russian characters. If you have a laptop with multiple video cards, make sure that maximum performance is enabled, that is, running the FarCry4 game on a discrete video card (on laptops, for maximum gaming performance, you need to play with power connected)

1. If you have a black screen when starting Far Cry 4, and this is a consequence of the game running on dual-core processors - download and install to launch the game. Just unpack it into the bin folder, which is located in the game folder. Launch the file Extreme Injector v3.exe, and then the game.

2. FarCry 4 does not start due to the lack of necessary software. Links to download programs for games in the left block. Among many other file managers, one cannot fail to highlight the FAR Manager program. This application was made based on the cult program Norton Commander, and at one time was positioned as a worthy competitor to Total Commander. Despite the rather simple console interface, the functionality of PAR Manager is quite large, which contributes to the popularity of this application among a certain circle of users. At the same time, some users, despite the intuitive interface of this file manager, do not know some of the nuances of working with it. Let's look at the main points of the question of how to work in the FAR Manager program.

Before starting to work in the FAR Manager program, it would be rational for a domestic user to install the Russian language of the program interface.

After launching the application, to go to the program settings, click on the “ConfMn” (“Call Menu”) button in the bottom panel of FAR Manager, or simply press the F9 key on the keyboard.

A menu appears at the top of the program interface. Go to its “Options” section and select “Languages”.

In the list that appears, select Russian as the main language.

It opens right away next window, where we set Russian as the help language.

File System Navigation

Navigating the file system in the Far Manager application is fundamentally no different from the navigation familiar to many users in the Total Commander program, because FAR Manager has the same two-panel interface. To change the active panel, simply press the Tab key on your keyboard. To go up a level, you need to click on the colon-shaped icon at the top of the list of files and folders.

To change the current disk in which you are navigating, you need to click on the letter “and” at the very top of the list.

The folder names are White color, hidden folders are a dull white, and files may be marked in different colors depending on the extension.

Actions on files and folders

Various actions with files can be performed using the buttons on the bottom panel of the program. But for experienced users, it is much more convenient to use keyboard shortcuts.

For example, to copy a file from one directory to another, you need to have the folder with the file to be copied open on one of the panels, and the folder where the copying will take place on the other. After selecting the required file, click on the “Copier” button on the bottom panel.” The same action can be launched by simply pressing the F5 key.

Then, in the window that opens, we must confirm the action by clicking on the “Copy” button.

All other actions on file system elements are performed using the same algorithm. First of all, we need to select the element we need, and then press the corresponding button on the bottom panel, or the keyboard function key.

Below is a list of the names of the buttons on the bottom panel of FAR Manager, keys on the keyboard, and the essence of the actions performed when they are pressed:

    F3 – “View” – View;
    F4 – “Edit” – Editing;
    F5 – “Copier” – Copy;
    F6 – “Move” – Rename or move;
    F7 – “Folder” – Create a new directory;
    F8 – “Deleted” – Delete.

Actually, the number of the function key for each action corresponds to the number indicated next to the button on the bottom panel of the program.

In addition, when you press the Alt+Del key combination, the selected file or folder is completely deleted, without being placed in the trash.

Managing the program interface

In addition, there are additional features on managing the interface of the FAR Manager program.

To display the information panel, just press the key combination Ctrl+L.

The quick file view panel is launched by pressing the Ctrl+Q key combination.

To return appearance panels to their default state, you just need to repeat the entered commands.

Work with text

FAR Manager supports viewing text files using a built-in viewer. In order to open a text file, just select it and click on the “View” button in the bottom panel, or the F3 function key on the keyboard.

After this, a text file opens. Using the same hotkeys, it is very convenient to navigate through it. When you press the Ctrl+Home combination, the file is moved to the top, and the Ctrl+End combination moves to the very bottom. Accordingly, pressing the Home and End keys performs the same operations only not on the scale of the entire file, but within the line.

In order to select all the text, you need to press the key combination Shift+A, and copying the text to the clipboard occurs, as usual, using the key combination Ctrl+C.

Plugins

A set of plugins allows you to significantly expand the functionality of the FAR Manager program. In order to view the list of installed plugins and launch the one you need, click the “Plugin” button in the bottom panel of the program, or press the F11 key on the keyboard.

As you can see, a list of plugins pre-installed in the program opens. We will talk about the most important of them below.

The arclite plugin is a built-in archiver; it can be used to view, unpack and create archives.

Using a special case conversion plugin, you can carry out group conversion of letters from lowercase to uppercase, and in reverse order.

Using the Network Browser plugin, you can view and navigate network connections, if available.

The special plugin “Process List” is a kind of analogue of the Windows Task Manager. But with its help you can only monitor the consumption of system resources by processes, but not manage them.

Using the NetBox plugin, you can download and transfer files over an FTP network.

As you can see, despite the fairly powerful functionality of the FAR Manager program, which is also enhanced by plugins, working in this application is quite easy. It is thanks to the ease of working with the program and its intuitive interface that it attracts many users.

Every system administrator strives to create the most comfortable environment for performing their duties with minimal effort and maximum convenience. First of all, these goals are achieved by using software, the most functional, convenient, compact, and corresponding to personal preferences. In my work, I have been using it as my main tool for many years. FAR Manager. This is the first program that I definitely install on a new one. operating system Windows family.

FAR says the following about itself (help on F1):

FAR is a text-mode file management program for Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/XP/2008/7 that handles files with long names and has an extensive set of additional functions. Which is true, of course, but in fact, does not reflect the main purpose at all FAR Manager- to be as much as possible convenient tool system administration. Probably at least half of all daily tasks administration can be solved using one single tool - FAR.

Most popular version FAR Manager for many years there was 1.70 (1.705), which works perfectly in all Windows from NT to Windows 7. Then, starting in 2006, several updated packages were released, and as of the second half of 2012, stable versions are available for free download on the developer’s website:

Universal version FAR Manager 1.75 for use on any Windows operating system. In many ways, this version, outwardly almost no different from the good old 1.705;
- version FAR Manager 2.0 for use in Windows XP and older;

On the developer's website you can download installation packages FAR for both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows operating systems

All versions FAR from 1.705 to 2.0 have practically no external differences, and do not require any additional effort from the user to master the program when switching to new version. Someone who has mastered working with FAR 1.705, can use it without any problems FAR2.

FAR 1.705 was distributed as conditionally - free application(shareware). For users former USSR, required free registration of the program using a fairly simple procedure, and did not require Internet access. Versions 1.75 and 2.0 (as well as subsequent ones in the future) are free (Freeware and Open Source) programs distributed under a modified BSD license.

Included in the standard delivery FAR Initially, a sufficient number of additional external modules (plugins) are included, ensuring the comfortable execution of most system maintenance actions without the use of any additional programs - from working with archives, files and folders to connecting to hidden network resources or FTP servers. If necessary, the set of external modules can be easily changed by adding the necessary functionality or removing unnecessary ones.

All versions FAR Manager V standard version supplies allow you to work with archives. At the same time, files in archives are processed similarly to files in file folders. Windows systems. FAR itself will convert your commands into corresponding calls to external archivers.

FAR also provides significant amount service functions. In addition to standard file processing capabilities, it provides the following capabilities:

An FTP client that allows you to work with FTP servers through Proxy and NAT.
- View your network environment and network folders, including hidden ones.
- Built-in editor with the ability to view files in both text and HEX format. Moreover, in text format it is easy to change DOS encoding to Windows and vice versa. In addition, the capabilities of the built-in editor make it easy to perform even such “exotic” operations as transferring the text selected in a rectangular window from a text file to another file, etc.
- Program Manager, which allows you to view a list of processes, information about each of them, its source and the system resources used. And kill ANY process, which the standard Task Manager does not allow you to do. It is possible to view lists of processes on another computer on the local network.
- Print Manager.
- Ability to create your own macros and menus for maximum customization.
- Russian language support and free registration for users of the former USSR in shareware versions.

Latest versions can be downloaded -

Registering shareware versions and some initial FAR settings

For users of the former USSR, FAR 1705 is distributed free of charge, but requires registration. For subsequent stable versions, registration is not required.
After installing FAR 1.705, register it by running it with the -r switch:
far.exe -r
as the username you need to enter:
xUSSR registration
must be entered as registration code in small Russian letters the current day of the week.

After registration, you can change the FAR settings to suit your preferences. Press F9 and select "Options".

In this menu you can select Russian as the user interface language and (or) help language. In "System settings" I usually set the modes to remove the read-only attribute from files copied from a CD-ROM and the mode to create folders in capital letters. And also in the “Confirmations” mode, I uncheck “Exit” so that FAR does not ask unnecessary questions when exiting the program. Sometimes it makes sense to make changes in the “Plugins configuration” for specific purposes, for example, in “Network View” you can enable the “Show hidden shared resources” mode, which allows you to access shared network resources for system administration.

To save your settings, press Shift-F9.

Examples of using FAR

The working area of the program window is divided into 2 panels, menu selection for which is carried out using the combinations ALT-F1 for the left and ALT-F2 for the right. If you press F1, brief help on the current window will be displayed.

Setting up FTP connections

Select the panel (ALT-F1) and FTP (2). The panel will display a list of FTP servers. To edit the selected FTP connection use F4, to create a new one - SHIFT-F4.

Switching between panels is done using the Tab key, moving the cursor using the up and down arrows. Changing the state of the checkboxes using Space.
When creating an FTP connection, the fields are filled in - address or name of the FTP server, user name, password, description (if necessary) and additional modes are set, depending on the type of server and the method of connecting to it. For security reasons, you should not set a user password in the connection settings, but enter it every time you next connect to the server, to do this, turn on the “Request password” mode. If you are connecting to a server on the Internet through a router with NAT, you must enable “Passive Mode”. After creating an FTP connection profile or changing its parameters, you need to save the entered data.
The FAR FTP client can work through the Wingate proxy server, but the FTP connection settings are performed a little differently, taking into account the implementation features of the FTP Proxy service. Instead of the name or address of the FTP server, the address of the Wingate server is specified; in the user name field, the user name, @ and the name (address) of the FTP server are specified. For anonymous access the name anonymous@ is used:

To connect, you must select the desired FTP server from the list displayed on the panel and press the Enter key. If necessary, enter a username and password.

List of processes

Select the panel (ALT-F1) and “Process list” (0).

In this mode, FAR shows a list of active processes. The process list panel consists of columns:
Module - name of the software module. Or "Idle" - waiting (idle), "System" - the system is running (kernel, drivers), "_Total" - General
PID - process identifier.
Pr - process priority.
%Pr - Percentage of CPU usage by this module.
Memory - the amount of RAM used by the module.

When working with the process list window, you can use:
Enter - to switch to the process window.
F3 - to view information about the process. If you use F4 instead of F3, you can also select text in the process information window and copy it to the clipboard.
F6 - view the list of processes on the remote computer. Shift-F6 - return to local computer
F8 - delete process.
Shift-F1 - lower the priority of the current process.
Shift-F2 - increase the priority of the current process.

Using the process list management mode allows you to solve problems such as identifying the causes of decreased system performance, short-term freezes, destruction of unwanted processes (viruses), etc. If the performance of your system suddenly drops sharply, you can track the percentage of resource usage by various modules and sequentially forcefully terminate suspected processes using the F8 key. Feature of displaying a list of processes in FAR Manager is the fact that in the standard panel mode, their sorting (corresponding to the “Do not sort” item from the menu called up by CTRL+F12) corresponds to the startup order - the most recently started processes are displayed at the end of the list. The processes at the beginning of the list are system services. Please note that the completion of some system processes (for example winlogon.exe) can cause a critical error (BSOD, Windows blue screen of death), and some system services start again after completion. If you suspect the presence of malicious software, or you need to free up system resources, you can forcefully shut down applications one by one, starting from the end of the list.
IN FAR Manager 2.0 list sorting menu, called up by pressing a combination CTRL+F12, has significantly more criteria (> 20) according to which sorting is performed, including by virtual memory use, processor in user and privileged mode, number of open files, I/O operations performed, etc.

The capabilities of FAR are constantly supplemented by the use of built-in modules (plugins).

It is useless to list all the functions that FAR and its plugins provide, since their list is constantly growing. The following resources can be used as sources of information to help you find specific plugins.
