What skillful hands can do from unnecessary (junk) items. Crafts from bottles are made with your own hands for arranging summer cottages and children's playgrounds. Moreover, they look very attractive and original. Plastic is the cheapest and most accessible and very flexible material. You can use it to create figures of animals, flowers, dolls, children's transport, and borders. What bottles can be made for kindergarten or kindergarten

Chamomile
There are several options for making this delicate flower.
Option 1
To work you will need white bottles. They usually sell their milk and you should collect a little. As a last resort, you can use transparent, but then repaint it white. For each chamomile we need 3 bottles. They all must have the same neck diameter, otherwise we will not be able to put the lush parts together.
Cut off the upper part (neck with lid), just below the expansion point. We do this with only two bottles, leaving one. It is desirable that the lid be yellow.
Cut out about 8 petals on each neck. Just so that they hold on and don’t fall apart. Bend them one by one in the opposite direction.
Let's start assembling the flower: we put one of the blanks on top of the one that was left uncut.
Then the second one in exactly the same way.
We unfold and bend the petals so that the chamomile looks natural and lush.
We fix all three layers with a lid, trying to make it tighter.
Such flowers can be left as is, or after assembly they can be painted in different shades. They can be planted on a wire stem or attached to a fence.
Option 2
This daisy has a more complex design, but it also looks more natural and beautiful.
Cut circles from the cylinder of the bottle (about 8 cm in diameter, larger if you want to create a large daisy). Each one will require three mugs.
We subsequently cut each circle into 16 strips and form flower petals from them.
Using an awl heated over a fire, make a hole in the center.
A little later, when we assemble the workpiece, we need to hold it a little over the fire. So the petals curl themselves, creating the correct shape of the chamomile.
We cut out the core of the flower from the yellow lid, pierce it and fasten it with wire to the inflorescence.
We make a sepal from a green bottle and melt it a little over the flame.
First we attach the sepal to the stem, then three blank petals, the core and bend it with pliers so that the chamomile does not fall apart. After bending, we pass the wire again through the sepal and twist it with the stem.
The stem will be a wire on which thin strips (about 5mm) of green plastic are wound. In order for the layers to bond well, they also need to be scorched.
If you want to create a whole composition, make leaves by cutting them out of green plastic, singe them a little, and wrap them around a stem.
You can diversify the bouquet by combining them with cornflowers. Here you will need blue plastic; the petals are cut out in the shape of cornflowers. The flower is assembled in the same way as a chamomile.
Using this technique you can make any type of wildflower, and even roses if you can roll them correctly.
Option 3
Now let's try to make a giant daisy.
As you can see, to create such wonderful decorative flowers, you only need a few hours of time, bottles, an awl, a candle, glue and scissors.
Penguin
Plastic Coke bottles are useful for creating a penguin; thanks to their narrowed shape in the middle and widening at the bottom, they create a believable penguin body.
Tools and materials:
- 2 bottles of the same size;
- scissors;
- cool gun with silicone pencils;
- brushes;
- black marker;
- a piece of thick fabric;
- white, black and red paints.
Step-by-step assembly of the penguin:
- We cut the container in this way: the first, acting as the lower part, is cut in the middle or a little closer to the bottom, the second is the top of the penguin, so we only need the bottom. Rice. 1
- Now we connect both parts with cuts facing each other. Fig.2
- When connected, secure with glue (you can use a silicone gun). Fig.3
- Next, according to the plan, we will paint the penguin's body. Choose a paint type that is resistant to moisture. We paint the future toy in several layers. Rice. 4
- When the paint coating dries, use a black marker to outline the chest and muzzle. Fig.5

- In principle, the penguin is almost ready. All that remains is to paint the space left under the hat with red paint. You can, as shown in Figure 8, decorate it with black dots.

- Cut a scarf from a small piece of fabric and tie it on the penguin.
Crocodile
Let's try together to make another toy for kindergarten - a crocodile.
For work, prepare:
- two plastic bottles, 0.5 l;
- screw caps from the same container – 4 pcs;
- sharp knife;
- stationery scissors;
- thin cardboard;
- glue;
- brushes;
- waxed paper;
- paints for painting;
- buttons for eyes.
Manufacturing and assembly instructions:
First cut the bottles in half, then so that there is a distance of about 7 cm to the neck.
You need to shape the edges so that when assembling the crocodile's body is slightly bent. As shown in the photo.
Glue the covers in place of the legs.
Form dense balls from cardboard - eyes, attach to the body.
Cover the entire body of the alligator with green colored paper.

- stationery knife.
Instructions for implementation:
Cut out the wings of a bee from a plastic glass, as shown in the photo.
There is no need to cut the bottle completely. We make only small cuts on the sides using a stationery knife. These will be the locations for the wings.
Insert the wings into place and glue them.
Next we start painting the bee. There are two ways of painting: paint the body black, then make yellow stripes, or vice versa, make it completely yellow, then draw black stripes. Let's use the first one - paint it dark.
Draw the eyes on the lid with white and the mouth with red.
Option 2
You can make it in one copy, you can create a whole hive
To create a hive, prepare:
- plastic bottles according to the expected number of bees;
- yellow enamel or paint;
- black electrical tape;
- wash brushes – 4 pcs;
- for the eyes - beads or buttons;
- glue gun;
- synthetic thread;
- leg-split.
We paint plastic bottles yellow. You can do it a little differently - pour yellow paint inside, twist the bottle so that the paint lies evenly on the entire inner surface.
This method is a little more difficult and takes longer, but the coloring will be more impressive and glossy. In addition, it will not wash out, break or deteriorate.
This should be done in several stages in order to paint the entire surface evenly. Pour paint into a bottle, shake it and place it on its side. As soon as the first layer of paint begins to set, twist it so that the next area is painted and so on until the end.
When the bees' bodies take on a yellow color, we use black electrical tape to make transverse stripes.
We glue eyes and a nose from pre-prepared beads and buttons onto the lid.
From another plastic container we cut out shapes that look like wings. At the same stage of work, we attach threads to them. For them we will then hang the bee from the tree.
Using the same glue gun, glue a thread with wings to the bee's body.
We also color it yellow. You can, again, use a complex painting method. Or, so as not to waste a lot of time, just paint on top with a brush.
We will make the roof of the hive from brushes. We take them in a pile and tie them with twine.
On the lid of the bottle - this is the roof area, we apply a thick layer of glue. Place the washcloths on it so that they are distributed evenly on all sides. If they come off a little somewhere, we glue them back on.
Leave the craft at rest for a while to dry.
Everything is ready, bees and hive. All that remains is to take it to the kindergarten and hang it on a tree.
In a similar way, you can make many bees, but without a hive, and hang each one from a tree. Thus creating a real children's beekeeping center.

Butterflies
An easy-to-make and very interesting craft model.
Option 1
Let's prepare materials:
- plastic containers (a few pieces will be enough);
- paper, no smaller than A4 format;
- stationery scissors;
- silver and brown nail polish;
- glitter;
- red gel pen;
- rhinestones;
- butterfly in a stencil.
Let's start making an insect:
First, let's prepare the bottles for work: wash them, preferably with soap, remove the labels, and dry them.
On a blank sheet of paper, scan or transfer the shape of a butterfly using carbon paper. For this we need a stencil. You will find it at the end of this subsection.
Using a gel pen, you need to trace the contours of the insect onto the surface of the plastic and cut it out.
We have a figure with downward curved wings.
Let's turn it over, we need them to look up.
Take the gel pen again and draw all the lines as shown on the stencil.
Use silver nail polish to paint the middle (body) and antennae. Let's draw the contours of the wings in the same tone.
Now you need to use varnish to draw all the lines, including the smallest ones, which were previously drawn with a gel pen.
We put small dots (blotches) in front of the edges.
Against the background of the silver drawing of the wings, we also put dots, only in brown.
We decorate the body of the butterfly with rhinestones. To do this, use any nail polish, put drops and plant a pebble on top.
The butterfly is ready for everything, we needed a little time and material, which, for sure, will be found at home in the household and at the mother’s.
Similar to the previous butterfly, we make another one, only this time it is monochromatic and without pebbles.
We got two plastic butterflies, painted in the same tone.
If you glue a magnet to them, they will serve as a nice decoration on the refrigerator or any other metal surface.
Option 2
Let's look at another implementation option. We will paint it not with nail polish, but with stained glass paints. In the first version, we drew a butterfly on plastic, cut it out, and only then started painting. The technology here is different. We will draw an insect on the bottle, and we will paint it on it.
Let's prepare everything that will be useful in the work:
- stencil drawing paper:
- plastic containers;
- stained glass paints;
- wire or thick fishing line;
- scissors;
- beads (several small pieces);
- awl.
Step-by-step instructions for implementation:
We transfer the butterfly from the stencil onto the paper.
Let's redraw the insect onto plastic. You can do it like this. We cut the bottle and adjust the design from the inside so that we can clearly see it from above. Using a gel pen, transfer the contours onto the plastic.
When we finish drawing, we can start coloring. Let us remind you that we paint without cutting out the insect; the paint goes on the bottle, along the contours. After painting, leave the workpiece to dry. After it dries well, cut it out. Use your fingers to give the desired shape.
We form a body. To do this, take the wire or fishing line that we have prepared and string several beads onto it. You can take the same color, or you can make it multi-colored, whatever your heart desires.
A butterfly, or more than one, if you made several of them, are ready. You can decorate indoor flowerpots with them, hang them on curtains, attach a pin at the bottom, or better yet, glue them.
If the insect is made by a child’s hand, then it will be a pleasant surprise and a gift for March 8th for a mother, teacher or grandmother.
Stencils for making butterflies
Hedgehogs
Waste material has a lot of possibilities and ways to extend its life. Moreover, every family has at least something. Here you don’t need to buy or invent anything special, much less spend money on them. Let's try to make a hedgehog from the same waste material, which is used plastic containers.
For our work we will need:
- plastic bottle;
- pine cones, about a dozen, the main thing is that they are the same size;
- two white caps, from the same bottles;
- glue (you can use “Moment” or, if you have polyurethane foam);
- colored plasticine.
Technique for creating a hedgehog:
First, we put the container in proper shape: wash it, remove the label, wipe it and dry it.
On the prepared container, glue the pine cone directly on top with glue or foam (you can also use a glue gun if you have such an item on the household). We start from the center, this will be the back of the hedgehog. We glue each cone as a separate element, after making sure that the previous one is firmly held.
If at least one of them falls, and the neighboring ones hold on tightly, then it will be difficult to “put” it back in place. Take this into account and take your time.
When all the cones - the needles of our hedgehog - are put in place, we will begin to form the muzzle. To do this, cover the bottle cap with black plasticine.
For the eyes you will need white lids prepared by us. On them, in the center, we will glue circles from the same black plasticine - these will be the pupils of the hedgehog.
Glue the eyes to the animal's face.
Now let's embellish our craft a little. What is a real hedgehog without supplies? We will make mushrooms, leaves, fruits and berries from plasticine. Then we carefully lay it on his back.
You can create a baby for the company of an adult hedgehog by molding it from plasticine. And since its dimensions do not make it possible to experiment with pine cones, the needles on the body can be made from sunflower seeds.
Helicopter
An interesting craft that you can do with your son for kindergarten. This way you will teach him to use various waste materials as material for creating toys and other necessary things.
For work, prepare:
- a small plastic bottle, perhaps from a baby yogurt bottle;
- one tailor's pin;
- 3 juice straws;
- scissors;
- one ping pong ball;
- stapler
Step-by-step work:
First, make a hole in the lid so that the tube can fit in freely.
Cut the bottle so that the upper (thick) part remains intact.
Take the remaining 2 tubes and cut them to the length of the intended propeller blades.
Cross them and pin them in the middle with a pin. Insert the tail of the helicopter into the bottle cap. Make runners from the two remaining parts of the tubes, connect them with a strip cut from an unnecessary part of the bottle with a stapler.
Attach the main part of the helicopter with the skids also with a stapler. Insert a ping pong ball into the hole.
The helicopter is ready. A minimum of time is spent on it, and the child will have a lot of pleasure from a toy created with his own hands.
Matryoshka
Matryoshka is probably the only toy that more than one generation has grown up with. In addition, it is considered a symbol of Russia. Many foreign tourists, coming to our state, buy them as souvenirs. Is it possible to create such a complex figure with your own hands, and even from waste plastic? Yes, you can, even if it will not be as functional as modern ones in toy stores, but it will be personal and, for sure, the most beloved.
When creating such crafts, not only plastic food containers are suitable, we will look at this a little later. The toys that you see in the photo below are made only from the upper parts of flasks. This way they will be more stable. To prevent the edges from being too sharp, they can be treated with electrical tape.

The buildings
PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is a thermoplastic from which bottles are made. It will be useful to know its physical properties:
- density - 1.38-1.4 g/cm³,
- softening temperature (t size) - 245 °C,
- melting temperature (t pl.) - 260 °C,
- glass transition temperature (t st.) - 70 °C,
- decomposition temperature - 350 °C.
Plastic bottles are very convenient to use, but are harmful to the environment, since the polyethylene from which they are made takes more than 200 years to decompose. This same property allows the use of practically waste raw materials as building material. Craftsmen already even build houses from plastic bottles, as well as sheds, dachas, greenhouses, greenhouses, and fences. Various technologies have been developed - the approach is quite serious.
How to build a house from plastic bottles
The basic idea is to pour bulk material into bottles, screw them on with caps and use them as bricks. Fill the bottles with sand and soil. Sand is preferable because there is too much plant debris in the soil that can rot. It must be sifted, dried, filled into bottles, compacted well, and topped up. The result is a kind of brick.
To build a house from plastic bottles, you will need a solution that fills the gaps between the “bricks”. There are options here too. This can be a regular mortar, which is used when laying brick walls, or you can make a clay mortar. To keep the “bricks” in the wall until the mortar sets, they are tied with twine on the side of the lids. Later, these “grids” will come in handy when you plaster the walls. They turn out uneven, so you can’t do without leveling.
We make a greenhouse, barn, greenhouse
You can build a greenhouse or greenhouse from plastic bottles. In this case, only transparent plastic is used, since it is necessary for sufficient light to pass through. For the construction of a shed, on the contrary, it makes sense to choose darker plastic - it will be less visible what’s inside.

We assemble them (the frames) on the ground and, ready-made, attach them to the dug-in pillars. When you make the frames, don't forget the doorway and windows.

The construction process begins with cutting the bottom. We string the cut bottles onto pins, pointing the necks in one direction. We insert the bottles with force so that they become very tight. Having collected a row of the required height, we attach it to the frame. You can fasten it with clamps, strips cut from metal, nails... In any way available to you. We press the second row against the first so that there is a slight deformation. We fasten it in this position. So, row by row, we assemble all the walls, then the roof.
Using the same technology you can make a gazebo. But here there is no need for tightness, so you can collect shaped and colored containers. This will make it even more interesting (example in the photo).
Second technology - sewing plastic
Bottles will also need to be smooth, transparent or yellow. The central part is cut out of them, resulting in a square-shaped piece of plastic. The pieces are sewn together into long strips. In the strip, the pieces are placed so that they curl in one direction. Then the strips are sewn into canvases. To make the canvas even, the strips are positioned so that they curl in different directions. As a result, they equalize each other. The finished canvases are nailed to the frame. This completes the construction of the greenhouse for plastic bottles.
This type of “cladding” for greenhouses withstands winters well; it does not need to be removed. Due to the firmware (many small holes), there is no absolute tightness, which allows you to regulate humidity. You won’t be able to heat such a greenhouse, but it will delay autumn for you and speed up the arrival of spring.
You can sew plastic for a greenhouse by hand, but it is not easy. It will be easier for those who have non-capricious sewing machines. Old Podolsk machines cope with this task. There may be problems with others.
Fence and enclosure
You can make a fence from plastic bottles in various ways. If you need a serious monolithic fence, you can use bottles as bricks. The technology is the same as when building a house. To avoid plaster (after all, there is a high risk that it will collapse) - select the color of the plastic to obtain the required Rusinka. But in this case, you will have to look for “building materials” of the same diameter or lay out patterns from different sizes. In general, the process is creative, no matter how you look at it.
You can also make filling for the fence from plastic bottles. Make a frame, say, from wood, and come up with a beautiful filling from shaped containers and their parts.
Furniture from scrap materials: recycling plastic bottles
Not only can you make a house and a fence from plastic bottles, they are also used as the basis for upholstered furniture. The idea is to use plastic containers rather than wood for the frame. With the lids tightly screwed on, they have a high load-bearing capacity, and when assembled into blocks, they are quite capable of withstanding loads of up to 100 kg or more.

Although the furniture is made differently, the general algorithm of actions is the same:
- Select “building material” that is the same height and tighten the lids well.
- Assemble blocks of the required size, securing them with tape.
- Having assembled the base of the required shape, sew the cover. For softness, adding furniture foam.
The trick is to ensure that the bottles fit very tightly against each other and do not move. The slightest play can lead to destruction of the structure. Therefore, assemble the blocks slowly, carefully securing them. You can stack bottles in layers, securing each layer in several places. For the inner layers, it is better to use double-sided tape - the fixation will be more reliable.
Ottomans/banquettes
The easiest way is to make an ottoman or banquette from plastic bottles. We proceed in the order described above. You need to find bottles of the same height. It’s better if they are the same shape - it’s easier to assemble. From plastic containers with tightly screwed lids we assemble a base in the form of a cylinder. It is advisable that the radius of the base be greater than the height of the bottles - this way the bench will not tip over.
Next, you need to cut out two circles from fiberboard, which will be slightly larger than the resulting radius of the base - this is the “bottom” and the base of the seat. We secure them with tape. We take furniture foam rubber and, according to the obtained dimensions, cut out the necessary parts. We sew the cover from furniture fabric in a color that matches the interior.
Such a banquette can be not only round. It is quite possible to make it square. And so that this furniture is not too light, it can be made heavier by pouring water. But water is not very reliable. It's better to pour sand. Both heavier and more reliable.
Sofas, chairs, armchairs
If you need furniture higher than one bottle, proceed as when creating walls for a house. Find “material” of the same shape and height. Leave the first bottle intact, screw the cap tightly (you can add sand to prevent it from turning over). The bottom of the other is cut off and one is placed on top of the other. The bottle goes a certain distance and does not move further, no matter how much effort you make. If the resulting height is enough, great; if not, put on the next one. This is how you assemble rows of the required height, then fasten them into blocks.
There is another way. It is more reliable in the sense that the bottles are held not by compressed air, but by a mechanical stop. And they have double walls, which is also important. Disadvantage - more work, more raw materials are needed. The whole process is illustrated step by step.
- Take the bottle and cut it approximately in the middle of the height (the upper part with the neck is smaller).
- We insert the upper part of the neck (the lid is screwed on) until it stops into the lower part.
- We take a whole one, the same size and shape, and insert it bottom down into the prepared structure.
- We cut the third approximately in half and put the lower part on the top (with a lid).
From such modules we assemble blocks of the required configuration, fastening them with tape. Don't skimp on scotch tape. You can first fasten two bottles together, then assemble larger blocks from the double ones.
As you understand, with this technology there are a lot of bottle tops left (half of the third bottle). They can be used to make other crafts from plastic bottles: flowers, more practical things for the household.

The simplest
For beginner crafters, you can try making flowers from plastic bottles in simple shapes to decorate the garden. In this case, you can also use milk containers. To avoid painting plastic, look for colored ones. And it doesn’t matter so much whether they are transparent or not. They can be combined to produce flowers of different shapes.
To create such flowers, use the part near the neck. It is cut to form petals. Next - warm it up a little, giving the desired bend to the petals, a little paint, the core from a melted piece with a thread (a bottle of a smaller diameter, a pharmacy bottle will do). Another option is to cut from the neck into strips of equal width - 1-1.5 cm, bend them (warm up a little at the base). Make a middle whisk from the side of a milk bottle or paint clear plastic with acrylic paint.

First. You need a large capacity bottle. We draw it into strips of equal width. At the beginning and at the end of each strip, we make holes with a heated soldering iron or a nail heated on fire. We insert scissors into this hole and cut. The result is smooth stripes.
When the strips are cut, we also make a hole in the bottom, pass a thick fishing line through the neck, take it out through the hole in the bottom, and attach the decor to the back side. Maybe a button, maybe a pebble of a suitable color. Now, by pulling the fishing line, we get an interesting shaped lampshade. You can put a low power light bulb in it.
Another lampshade was made using a similar technology. But then they cut part of the bottle with the neck into strips, wrapped the strips and secured them to the neck. To give the desired shape, the bend can be slightly warmed over the flame of a candle or lighter. We attach the resulting “flowers” to the base. So we get an unusual design.
They also make lampshades from the bottoms. You need to find a sufficient number of identical bottles, cut off the bottom of them, and glue them together using universal glue (choose transparent). The main thing is that it glues the plastic and hardens quickly.
Flower vases
Making a vase from a plastic bottle - what could be easier... Just cut off the neck and you're done. But there is a technique that allows you to get patterned walls. A well-made souvenir or trinket will eventually develop into a hobby, if there are no limits to your imagination. Summer residents who have moved from simple fences on wire to buildings that delight in scale never cease to amaze.
From available material that many throw away, someone builds:
- greenhouse;

- summer shower or bath;
- country toilet or shed;
- summer gazebo or sun canopy;
- a mansion for children or a playground;
- sandbox with decorative sides;
- various temporary buildings on the site.
Over time, plastic becomes a real environmental disaster - it is difficult to recycle. But once you involve everyone who cares in cleaning the area, there will be a whole mountain of empty PET bottles for building a greenhouse, cascading flower bed or vertical gardening. The only drawback is that it takes a long time to collect identical containers, since containers are produced in different colors and volumes.
To create an original decoration you need:
- interesting idea;
- ready-made role model (illustration);
- material for crafts with tools;
- step-by-step training plan guide.
In the hands of a true master, plastic bottles take on a second life, becoming functional objects. It is better to make souvenirs on a seasonal basis. For example, New Year's toys are made in the winter, practical country houses are made in the summer, and in spring and autumn it remains to build a “clearing of fairy tales” near the house for children.
Furniture and interior items made from plastic bottles
Furniture made from plastic bottles looks like a masterpiece that is not accessible to everyone. They will require a lot of plastic containers of the same type. Sofas and poufs impress with their design and comfort, not inferior to real furniture. There is nothing complicated if the sofa is made in blocks - seat, back, sides. If the container is not enough, the sofa blocks can be made one at a time. It’s better when you collect bottles from one drink, for example, two-liter kvass or lemonade.
The principle of “assembling” furniture from bottles is simple - they are placed in layers and tightly wrapped with tape. To make the furniture softer and more springy, a little air is released from each bottle and twisted tightly. At the place where the cap is, cut out a cap from another bottle and tape it with tape. It turns out to be a block with a bottom on both sides - this is the basis of the furniture.
Then it all depends on your imagination, the type of furniture and the number of bottles available. We wrapped 7 containers of the same volume with tape to create the base for an ottoman. What its appearance and style will be depends on the master. For a soft seat, you will need a round pillow or a block of foam rubber that fits the size of the top. The cover is cut to the size of the ottoman in the form of a cylinder, and it is convenient to insert a zipper along the side seams, but it is easier to sew the upholstery tightly.
To build a coffee table you will need 4 racks of plastic bottles and a plywood board as a table top, which can be hidden with a long tablecloth. In a similar way, they make a convenient stand for a laptop or an external table for the garden. For large furniture (sofa, chaise lounge or chair) made from plastic bottles, you will need a lot of patience and raw material.
Useful little things for the home from plastic bottles
Flowers and vases
Decorating a schoolchild's bedroom or children's room with crafts from plastic containers is not difficult. You can build a whole bouquet of artificial flowers. Place the resulting chrysanthemums, daisies or roses in a vase made of the same material, adding diode bulbs on an insulated wire to the centers. This is what a night light of extraordinary beauty will look like, where the faint light shimmers in the plastic petals.
Advice: To give the leaves a special shape, use heating the blanks and folding the corners with tongs!
To place a homemade bouquet you will need a suitable vessel; simply cutting off part of the bottle is not aesthetically pleasing. The edges of the cut are marked with a ruler to make the cut, securing the result by heating the bends. A small transparent bottle is cut off to the very top, and about half of a large container is cut off. We choose a material with a ribbed or “waist” in the middle to create an interesting base.
Then we do it as our imagination allows, but we bend the edges beautifully. The fringed cut is obtained from vertical or diagonal cuts in the plastic base. The resulting strips are evenly folded to the outside.
Note! It is important that all the notches and the depth of the slot are absolutely identical, then the entire product will come out neat.
Depending on which edge is desired, the strips of the vase (the edges of any other product) are secured in different ways:
- curly bend;
- staplers;
- fusing;
- gluing with transparent polymers.
Flowerpots, flower pots and containers for seedlings
Colored plastic containers in the form of bottles and bottles of different sizes are suitable as containers for growing living plants. It is very easy to make a fragrant balcony from 3-liter tanks - a cascade of hanging petunias. Advice: Use the compact form and ability to hang containers for vertical gardening with automatic watering. In the absence of the owners, watering cans with water immersed in the ground will cope with moistening the plants.

Using plastic bottles you can repel pests or attract birds to your site. To do this, the tank is used as a feeder, and traps made of bottles with chemicals are placed at the roots of fruit trees. From double plastic containers, craftsmen build traps for wasps, where they fly into sweet water and cannot get back out.

At the dacha, it’s easy to whip up crafts from plastic bottles in the form of an impromptu washbasin by hanging a full bottle upside down. It is convenient to knit from such a ball, suspended somewhere nearby, by pulling the thread from the ball inserted inside. It’s easier to find nail polish or a lipstick collection in a makeshift zippered box.

Original all seasonal flower beds
The summer season is passing, and living flower beds are being replaced by homemade plastic flowers that are no less beautiful than real ones. Their advantage is the ability to decorate the territory at any time. These flower beds pale in comparison to living plants, but in early spring and late autumn they alone attract admiring glances.
For daisies you will need small plastic containers of white (petals), yellow (centers) and green (leaves). You will also need an awl and a candle (for heating), “liquid nails,” scissors and stiff wire in green insulation.
We cut the base of the white bottle to the center, marking 16 segments - these are the petals. We bend the neat edges over the candle flame, and also make 2-3 chamomile corollas, which we connect in the center with an awl. Here the stem with leaves is fixed on a green wire, closing with the middle. We fill the center of the flower with a yellow basket with small cuts from 2 finely dissected circles with a fringe bent over the candle. We supplement the flower with green sepals from the bottom, collect all the parts and fix them together.
From the remaining pieces of green plastic, cut out leaves with a hole at the base (for stringing) and give them the desired shape, heating them over a candle flame. We attach the leaves to the wire handle; they should bend around it slightly. All that remains is for the chamomile to make several “companions” and find a worthy place for the bouquet.
All seasonal flower beds include mosaic compositions made from containers filled with earth. The lids are used to make wall panels. “Butterfly” or “ladybug” - in different versions.
Crafts from plastic bottles for the playground
An incredibly beautiful bird with plastic plumage – a whole “clearing of fairy tales”. These are the peacock or firebird, swans, pigeons, bullfinches and parrots. All of them are made from empty PET bottles according to the general principle:
- Design an aesthetic bird's head with eyes and beak;
- Construct the torso and neck;
- String plastic plumage;
- Provide with wings and tail;
- Place on paws or secure to selected surface.
Plastic swans can be fenced off by a blue “lake” of upside down plastic bottles. Outlandish birds will decorate the trees in the corner of the garden, which is reserved for children's games. You can choose a themed decor, for example, a desert island with palm trees and parrots.
The material is collected throughout the year, but it’s easier to involve neighbors and acquaintances in the “ecological” cleaning project. There are special containers for plastic in the yards - it’s much easier to collect.
Preparation for work - removing labels and glue residues from plastic bottles; it is important to rinse well and discard the deformed material.
If vertical fences are built, they need to be filled. Depending on the idea, sand, stone chips or dry soil are poured into PET bottles, burying them 1/3 of the way down.
For selected purposes, plastics of varying elasticity are used. Heat treatment is required for filigree work (flowers). It is important not to overheat the fragments cut into strips.
Fairy-tale characters sometimes require additional painting. For example, it is better to cover pink piglets for a playground with an aerosol from a spray can and secure them with transparent acrylic paint.
Plastic bottles are an excellent material in the right hands. Using them as a basis, it’s easy to teach children a lesson in environmental education and fill your home or garden with practical things. With a creative approach, the color, volume and shape of plastic bottles themselves will prompt new ideas for an exciting creative process.
