Found on cars with a spline connection located in the box or transfer case.

Causes of leakage:

  1. Oil leakage occurs due to a defective oil seal in the box. The O-ring hardens over time, forming a gap between the movable cardan rod and the oil seal. Eliminated by replacing the oil seal in the box or transfer case.
  2. Damage to the mirror on the movable rod (spline connection) of the propeller shaft. The appearance of burrs or roughness on the splines. Treated by replacing the splines. As a temporary option, burrs can be cleaned off with sandpaper, which reduces leakage.

Heavy knocking or knocking immediately after turning on the gearbox, vibration when accelerating

The main reason for shocks or knocks when there is a load on the driveshaft is backlash!

  1. The most common cause is a faulty driveshaft spider. When it is destroyed, a strong backlash appears and, as a result, impacts. The crosspiece needs to be replaced.
  2. Loosening the propeller shaft bolts. Carefully inspect all bolts and tighten securely. If the bolts have not been touched in the near future, then the problem is not with them.
  3. The movable splines of the propeller shaft are severely worn. To eliminate the problem, replace the cardan splines.
  4. There is a lot of play in the bearing kit. Usually accompanied by frequent replacement of the propeller shaft bearing. Treat by installing the kit under the support.

Intermittent or constant squeaking

Periodic squeaking occurs when you press the gas pedal, and disappears when coasting. In some cases, the appearance of a squeak depends on the temperature outside, as well as the angle of operation of the hinge - cross or CV joint.

  1. The driveshaft crosspiece is jammed. As a rule, it is accompanied by the presence of rusty smudges on the crosspiece. Syringing won't help. Jamming means that the cup bearing has become deformed. The next step there will be its destruction. It is necessary to replace the hinge as soon as possible.
  2. The CV joint of the cardan wedges in the operating range. Go through, carefully inspect for wear and tear and lubricate, if that doesn’t help, replace.

Vibration is the main failure of the cardan

Before troubleshooting the driveshaft, make sure there is no imbalance on the wheels.

If vibration of the driveshaft occurs in a certain speed range (from 60 to 80 km/h, from 90 to 120 km/h), this is good vibration, which is eliminated by balancing the driveshaft. As a rule, this kind of vibration appears after repairing the driveshaft: replacing the crosspiece, bearing, shortening and lengthening, or disassembling and reassembling the driveshaft not according to factory marks.

If the vibration began suddenly at a certain speed and constantly increases as it increases. However, the driveshaft was not repaired. The following faults need to be checked:

  1. Impaired smoothness and play in the crosspieces. Worn hinges need to be replaced.
  2. Ingress of a foreign body (up to grains of sand) when installing the cardan on the axle, transfer case, or gearbox. Clean the cardan flanges and receiving flanges on the vehicle from dirt.
  3. Play in the movable splines or fixed splines (support set) of the propeller shaft. The spline connections need to be replaced.
  4. Separation or extreme corrosion of balancing plates. Inspect the cardan; when the plate is torn off, the place of its attachment is very clearly visible. Eliminated by balancing.
  5. Dirt stuck to the driveshaft. Clean the shaft from dirt.
  6. A bent pipe due to a mechanical shock when hitting a cobblestone or curb. In some cases, it can be treated by straightening the pipe to hydraulic press. On average, if the pipe is deformed by more than 1.5 millimeters, it is replaced with a new one.

How to make sure that the vibration is from the cardan

While driving, use the tachometer to notice the engine speed at which vibration occurs. Then, in another gear, increase the speed until the same phenomenon occurs.

  1. If vibration occurs at the same speed, but in different gears, then the cause of the malfunction is not in the cardan, since its speed was different.
  2. If the vibration disappears or decreases when operating in a different gear at the same engine speed, then check the above described possible reasons malfunctions.

Ringing in the propeller shaft pipe

  1. The spline cover came off, preventing lubricant from getting into the pipe. It is necessary to cut the cardan and weld the cover in place.
  2. Breakage or peeling of the lead core support installed in the pipe to compensate for the imbalance. Just replacing the driveshaft.

Ringing from the driveshaft

Check the seating of the support boot. If it's loose, straighten it out and secure it with welding.

Scraping sound

Check whether the driveshaft is touching the gearbox housing or exhaust system along the characteristic marks.

Howl or whistle from the drive

  1. Worn driveshaft bearing. The outboard bearing needs to be replaced.
  2. Bearing wear in the transfer case or box.

How to Determine a Bad Outboard Bearing

A driveshaft bearing failure is identified by a characteristic rustling sound. A serviceable bearing makes virtually no noise when rotating, rotates effortlessly, smoothly and without jamming.

Many challenges await the heroes of Azeroth, particularly in the dungeons scattered across the Broken Isles. In this review we will talk about two of them: Vaults of the Guardians and Assault on the Violet Fortress.

Casemates of the Guardians

Minimum level:110
Zone:Azsuna
Number of bosses: 5

The Guardians' secret prison was carved out of the mountains of Azsuna and sealed with magic to keep the Vaults safe from outside invasion... and to ensure that the monsters trapped within would never break free. For centuries, the most dangerous opponents of the Guardians were imprisoned in this dungeon, but after the betrayal of Cordana and the coming of the Burning Legion, they walk freely under its arches.

Developers' comments. The idea for this dungeon came to us early in development. Legion expansions, and we immediately rushed to implement it. From the moment we created the chain of events in which the Demon Hunters awaken from stasis during the Legion's attack and seek salvation from the raging chaos, it was obvious that players would still have to return here. Upon returning, players will find that the once impregnable Casemates have been ravaged, and prisoners who have escaped are in charge inside. When we chose the boss monsters (like Vul'Kan and the Watcher), we tied them into the original Demon Hunter story to give players a sense of connection. When you return to this dungeon, you'll see some foreshadowing in the first appearance of these bosses.

The Guardians' casemates consist of three floors.
Court of the Guardians

Casemates of the Guardians

  • Inquisitor Torturer: cloaked inquisitors are perhaps the most mysterious and frightening creatures among all the demons in the service of the Legion. The Legion sent Tormentor to the Vaults after the first attack, and now, as he glides through the halls, piercing the darkness with his gaze in search of secrets, even other demons make way for him.
  • Looking: Like his other demonic brethren, the Beholder can transform his gaze into a powerful weapon. The Guardians found a way to weaken this creature by reflecting its magic back into itself. They used this knowledge and created a special mirror prison designed to contain the power of the Beholder. And she did a great job... until recently.
  • Volcano: Vul'Kan was one of the minions of Ragnaros. Before the Guardians captured him, he managed to leave a flaming scar on the body of Kalimdor. The Guardians were unable to completely destroy this creature, and therefore they locked him in an ice prison. Alas, the recent attack on the Casemates weakened the barriers , which held back Vul"Kan all these years...

Casemate of the Traitor

  • Cordana Felsong: traitor. Traitor. Exile. Cordana was one of those who followed Garrosh into the Dark Portal; she fought alongside Khadgar and tried to weaken the influence of the Shadow Council. But Gul'dan's dark sorcery penetrated her heart - and Cordana became a pawn in the hands of a warlock. The once faithful servant of order will now forever remain in history as a traitor whose treachery destroyed the Guardians.

Amethyst Fortress

After the Northrend campaign and the attack of the blue dragons on the Dalaran prison, the Violet Fortress was rebuilt, and its cells were inhabited by the most dangerous servants of the Lich King. Now floating above the Broken Isles, Dalaran finds itself on the front lines, and a dark threat once again seeks an outlet to destroy the Kirin Tor from within.

Violet Keep is located in Dalaran, which after its recent relocation has become part of the Broken Isles. There are new prisoners living there who are eager to take revenge on the Kirin Tor.

Developers' comments. Dalaran became part of the Broken Isles, and with it the Violet Keep. It will be necessary to visit it when completing some tasks for the class stronghold, as well as to receive a couple of artifacts. However, the fortress was and remains a dungeon first and foremost, and we decided to take advantage of its next return to the game. We've tweaked some of the old dungeon's features (such as checkpoints and progress tracking), and we've also brought back some of our favorite creatures that haven't been around for a long time. Since Dalaran played vital role in the Northrend campaign, it would be logical for Scourge monsters to languish in his prison cells. And so it happened - in this dungeon there are a lot of references to the most famous inhabitants of the Icecrown Citadel: here the forces of the Legion will set the closest relatives of the Bloody Queen Lana'tel, Sindragosa, Rotface and Rotfang against the heroes. Oh, and it won’t do without an evil gnome!

There are 8 bosses imprisoned in the Fortress - but to complete the dungeon you will need to fight only three.

Zone: Dalaran
Minimum level: 105
Number of bosses:8 (3 of them are randomly selected each time you visit the dungeon)
  • Millificent Manastorm: An unsurpassed engineering genius, Millificent Manastorm is the complete opposite of her husband Millhouse. You definitely don't want to get in the way of this savvy young lady.
  • Bloody Princess Tal'ena: Bloody Princess Tal'ena is the daughter of the powerful Bloody Queen Lana'tel. After the Northrend campaign, she was imprisoned in the Violet Fortress, where she had to suffer forever from unbearable hunger. But now that she's free, she's going to feast to her heart's content.
  • Rottenface: After the fall of the Icecrown Citadel, many experimental samples of Professor Putricide ended up in the hands of the warriors of Light. It is believed that Rotface is a failed prototype of the professor's two notorious creations: Rotface and Rotface.
  • Sael'orn: the origin of these arachnodemons is still debated; Scientists who have studied the Legion believe that these creatures are all that remains of a forgotten race that lived on one of the worlds captured by the armies of Sargeras in time immemorial. Sael'orn is a particularly evil member of his family, and it was he who was tasked with leading the capture of Dalaran.
  • Fel Lord Betrug: This brutal Legion commander is on full alert and will be happy to lead the invasion of Dalaran from the inside.
  • Anub"esset: one of the few survivors (if that word is applicable to him) of the crypt lords, who was captured by the mages of the Kirin Tor during the battle for Icecrown Citadel and imprisoned in the Violet Fortress. The Legion's invasion returned Anub'esset's freedom, and now his thoughts are exclusively occupied with revenge on all living things.
  • Mind Flayer Kaarj: This terrible creature was caught in the depths of Ulduar when it fell into a state of stupor after the death of Yogg-Saron. After moving Dalaran to the Broken Isles, the monster mysteriously awakened, and only the powerful magic of the Violet Fortress holds it back.
  • Icefall: They say Icefall is a descendant of Sindragosa herself. This terrifying ice dragon was captured in the Icewing Halls in Icecrown Citadel - it was there that the Lich King's scientists learned to breed such winged monsters.

Home flowers fill your home with energy, vitality and perfectly complement the interior. Looking after plants must be competent and enjoyable, otherwise it will be difficult to achieve the desired result. There is no need to be afraid that this is too tricky and troublesome, you just need to want to see the beauty nearby so that human hearts are filled with magnificent emotions.

It's wrong to think that roses garden plants, they grow well at home on the windowsill. Rose Cordana, with careful care, will produce many shoots and will delight others with its flowers for a long time. Caring for a plant is simple - just purchase the necessary preparations for its processing, and then it’s a matter of technology.

Choosing a rose

When purchasing a flower, you should keep in mind that it is best to do this in the spring, when nature begins to wake up. In autumn winter period you should not do this, since in this case the chances of its growth are low and there is a one hundred percent guarantee that all efforts will be made in vain. Leaving at this time of year will not be beneficial. Cordana should be purchased with a healthy and thick stem; there should be no withered leaves or insects on it. This indicator means that the plants are strong and will adapt perfectly to their new habitat.

The rose is stronger when it is brought to the store and it is best to choose this time to purchase the plant. There are bushes with a small number of unopened buds, and others with many flowers. The first option is best, because in this case the power is in the plant itself, and not wasted on flowering. The rose is saturated useful substances and elements before flowering. Caring for just such a rose gives the expected result.

It is important to pay attention to the leaves; they must be clean and intact, and also have a bright green color, dark or light.

Fertilizer selection

It is recommended to care for the plant using the following fertilizers: epin - a growth stimulator that is used to care for this amazing rose; fitoverm is effective remedy from spider mite, spraying the plant once a week will keep these insects away. Caring for roses at home can be done with a product such as Bona Forte. After purchasing these products, you can buy “Topaz” as additional ones - from powdery mildew and “kornevin” - to strengthen the root system. It is best to purchase all fertilizers in advance before purchasing the plant, so that it does not turn out that there is nothing to treat the cardan with. Since this procedure should not be postponed for a long time.

Off-topic question... Question about dachas

We are constantly receiving letters in which amateur gardeners are worried that due to the cold summer this year bad harvest potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, and other vegetables. Last year we published TIPS on this matter. But unfortunately, many did not listen, but some still applied. Here is a report from our reader, we would like to recommend plant growth biostimulants that will help increase the yield by up to 50-70%.

Flower transplant

How to properly transplant and revive a “capricious” plant?

In a residential area, transplantation is not difficult. It is better to choose a larger container for the flower than the one in which it was sold, since the roots need a large volume to grow and strengthen, and a small pot simply will not allow them to develop and gain a certain power. Soil is needed specifically for roses; other soil is not suitable, because only it contains everything nutrients necessary for the plant. Before planting the rose in another pot, expanded clay pebbles are placed at the bottom; this is done so that liquid does not retain and, accordingly, the roots do not rot. If this is not done, the flower will quickly wither and die. Then add some soil. Release the plant from the purchased container by tilting it at a slight angle and pressing lightly on the sides. The main thing is not to touch the roots, they are sensitive and may not forgive harsh treatment. Next, the rose is transferred to the prepared pot and the soil is added to the desired level. Afterwards, it is necessary to cut off all the buds so that the plant strengthens root system. You don’t need a lot of experience on how to properly care for a plant at home. Care in the first stages will be elementary. Cordana is thoroughly watered and sprayed with Epin fertilizer, diluted according to the instructions. The rose will produce shoots in a maximum of two weeks. Even if the leaves fall, it’s not scary.

Fertilizing and watering the flower

After transplantation, the plant grows very quickly. The first buds will appear in about a month. It is better not to water Cordana with fertilizer yet, let it adapt to a different environment. The rose then requires watering with Bona Forte fertilizer, according to the scheme: spray once a week, and water the next. It is better to dilute this product more water, than it is written in the instructions, since it is quite strong. Caring for a rose is not difficult, you just need to follow these recommendations. Water the rose as needed if the soil is dry, and if it is wet, then it is better not to rush with water.

The flower does not like overflow. On average, this happens in about four days. Cordana likes to mist every day, especially when the air is dry. To remember to do this regularly, you can keep water near the plant. The rose loves sunlight, so its place is on the windowsill. It is pleasant to watch the growth of a flower. Fertilizing with phytoverm once a week will also strengthen the roots.

In winter, the flower does not need to be fertilized; let it rest better from rapid growth, like all plants outside. Cordana should gain strength for the next flowering. It is best to intensify care in spring and summer.

Conclusion

It is convenient to observe a beautiful rose at home, because you can make a record of which days to water it and with what, and also keep a small observation diary. But often without fulfilling elementary rules, it is impossible to save it and it dies. Cordana is magnificent and it can be a pity to cut off the buds, because you want to see its flowers right away. Rose does not forgive what is wrong. To prevent your money from being wasted, you need to not be lazy and do everything on time. The plant needs careful care.

And if it turns out that the owner is away from home for about a month and a half, then nothing bad will happen if you leave a container of water on the window and pour it into the tray. The plant will definitely absorb moisture and not dry out.

Cardana will delight you with its flowering long years. After purchasing at a retail outlet, the flower needs to adapt to other conditions, but for this it needs help. Cardana can be a great gift.

Attention, TODAY only!

This guide will describe the final boss of the Vault of the Guardians -Cordana Felsong. We'll explain where to go, what mobs you'll encounter, and how to fight the boss.

Cordana Felsong

Important part to take notes

After victories over To those watching And Vul"kanom, there will be another mini-boss leading to the final elevator. This introduces the mechanics Light of Elune, which is required to identify enemies in the subsequent area in order to be able to attack them. Anyone who is still in the dark will not be useful. You can jump to the far left and skip most of the way to minimize the mobs needed once you drop down. On the last bridge leading to Cordana Felsong , any Light of Elune held by players must be discarded, as anyone holding it will be stunned for 8 seconds when crossed. This is to prevent additional light from appearing during Cordana's encounter.

Direhorn Enslaver

The last mob in the Vault - Direhorn Enslaver , which will block the path to the elevator. He will regularly cast Imprisonment on a random player (not a tank) who triggers Torment. These are roots on the player and cause them to deal a lot of damage to both themselves and players around them. To counteract this, healers should hold them and others should move away from the affected player. He will also Suffering Souls, which will spawn many green spots around the area, which after 6 seconds will spawn a pool in the area, dealing high Shadow damage to players standing in it. If this is cast on a player who is already jailed, they will need a lot of healer attention and likely a personal defensive cooldown to survive.

Light of Elune

Although it is not an enemy, it is the main ability in this area of the dungeon. As you progress, you will see a pillar that you can interact with. When the player does this, the pillar disappears and the player is soaked Light of Elune. This causes them to shine light around them, revealing hidden enemies. This player also has an additional action button that can be used to create a pillar at the target location, removing the Light of Elune from the player. The new pillar reveals hidden enemies around it and can interact with another player so they can receive Light (allowing you to transfer it to the creature).

Light of Elune can be knocked down by some enemy tank-targeting abilities, so we'd recommend putting him on a solid melee player or healer.

Spiny spider

Spiny spider will appear in groups, and there will also be a large patrol of 10 spiders moving up and down the right side of the ramp on the second floor. They will deal heavy damage to tanks and, upon reaching 50% health, retreat into the darkness and throw Barbed web to random players. This will deal moderate physical damage with this hit, and ideally he should be stunned just before they leave to give more time, and to reduce their numbers; after they leave they will spread and cannot be revealed by a single effect Light of Elune. When this happens, hunt down mobs with low health first to reduce group damage.

Spirit of Vengeance

Every Spirit of Vengeance will be waiting in the dark, but with a very high aggro radius, so be careful, as when pulled out, they will teleport to a random player, in range after a certain distance. They will remain in place otherwise and will cause serious damage to their nearby targets if the tank is not present. They will cast regularly Throw, dealing high physical damage to random players in the group. Along with this they cast Knockdown blow /Roundhouse kick combo on their current target (usually a tank), stuns, and then knocks back the player. If the player holds Light of Elune In time for a knockdown blow, it will be thrown to the ground, so putting it on a tank is not recommended.

Aranasian brood mother

And finally Aranasian brood mother will cast Razor, creating around 3 blackberries that will arm for more than 2 seconds. If the player then moves inside the lambs, they will be trapped in the root and will take moderate physical damage every 3 seconds. After these brambles have been bred, the Brood will give up Attraction, which will try to drag all players into that area, and players must run against it to prevent roots.

Meeting with Cordana Felsong

Quick orientation

Player in range must grab the buff Light of Elune. Try Deepening Shadows disperse. Kill Avatars of darkness when he appears to get the Light and go to Cordana to show her while avoiding everyone Fel Glaive And Explosive Moonglaive . Tank should know about Knockdown blow so as not to be thrown off the platform. Find gaps in the waves of Ghosts in time Creeping doom and use them to avoid damage. Throw a light on Avatar of Vengeance spawn to make Cordana vulnerable.

Review

Cordana Felsong - This is a deadly encounter with a huge number of mechanisms that can immediately destroy the group if played or executed incorrectly, so attention is very important. At one of the four corners there will be one Light of Elune, so players can grab them before the encounter starts, and ideally this should be placed on ranged DPS.

Cordana herself will deal a lot of damage to tanks and repeat Knockdown blow /Roundhouse kick combos from previous mobs. The rollback is more significant, however, and moves the tank 20 yards, so be very careful to go anywhere close to the edges of the platform so it doesn't knock you over. While this is not an instant death, as the Felbat will transport you, the boss will be free on the platform, and this will most likely signal a kill or wipe.

Cordana will cast Explosive Moonglaive at a random ranged player who will launch a weapon towards them and then return to Cordana. If this hits anyone in its path, it will cause Detonation for massive fire damage to players in range and multiplying all damage dealt to players by 50% for 10 seconds. This means that players must be very aware of where it was launched from, and avoid the path, and pay attention to the path it will take to return. If it goes away, make sure you use a lot of defensive cooldowns to survive through the debuff.

In addition, Cordana will summon Deepening Shadows during the meeting, which will create a pool in a random location in the room. This will grow every second if left untreated, dealing heavy Shadow damage every second to those left inside. They shrink if players hold Light of Elune stand on them as they are immune to damage and the light will shrink the pool, eventually removing it. Make sure the cleanup pools are prioritized on the group path.

20 seconds into battle, Cordana calls Avatars of darkness, which will immediately be used Stealing the Light, deletion Light of Elune from the player holding it until the avatar is defeated. Cordana will also apply Step through the shadow, which will remove her from combat and place her in stealth until she is revealed with Light of Elune. During combat, Cordana rolls an 8 Fel Glaive, every 3 seconds, which deal high fire damage to any player, so avoid them. The Avatar will then cast Shadow Strike at a random player, dealing heavy Shadow damage. This means that killing the Avatar must be quick and extremely important, and the player must receive Light of Elune and find Cordana. This can be done manually by following the path to Fel Glaive source or more safely, casting light on her current path.

At 40% health, Cordana will begin using the channel Creeping doom, which will move her to the center of the room and make her invulnerable to damage. She will then immediately create a wave of Ghosts and 3 more waves after that, each 5 seconds away. Ghosts move around the platform and cannot be attacked or otherwise stopped. They are visible as they appear, but then they are hidden. Each wave has a gap (missing ghost) in a random location. If the player comes into contact with the Wraith, they will suffer massive fire damage. Therefore, players will have to exploit the gaps in the Wraith waves to avoid damage.

Player holding Light of Elune can show Ghosts and you can move accordingly to make your way through them. Some magics reveal and show this mechanic, such as Ghost Sight from "Demon Hunters" can also reveal the location of ghosts for the player. This can be useful if there is a situation where players may have lost control of the damage they take or are overwhelmed by the speed of the wave additions.

When she lands, Cordana will attack again. At 25% health, she will call Avatar of Vengeance , which will protect her by reducing all damage dealt through Vengeance by 99%. You must quickly reveal the Avatar using Light of Elune, tracking the source Fel Glaive throwing and burning it. Be extremely careful when moving the boss as she will still use Roundhouse kick , and the Avatar will always appear on the edge and corner of the room.

Finally, about a minute after casting Creeping doom, Cordana will add two waves of Ghosts at once, but will not receive immunity. Moving, for that matter, is difficult, so you need to go through one wave first, and then position yourself so that the second wave goes through (past) you.

Alternate Draenor

Cordana took part in the assault on the Dark Portal and was among the first heroes to arrive on the alternative Draenor along with the leaders of Azeroth. While the vanguard fought the Iron Horde, she watched the battle closely. When the Dark Portal was destroyed, Cordana accompanied Khadgar and his group to the eastern part of the jungle, making their way through the camps of the Iron Horde. She fought off opponents in the arena of Kargathar and escaped death in the Dark Halls, after which she joined the hero in the fight against the Blackrock orcs. With the area near the mine flooded, Cordana continued to fight the orcs near the Iron Worldbreaker. She was at Khadgar's side when a squad from Azeroth managed to destroy the Dark Portal and escaped from the Iron Horde on stolen ships.

Together with Khadgar, she began the hunt for the Shadow Council, which took place in Shadowmoon Valley and on the Ridge Ice Fire. In the valley, Cordana teamed up with the garrison commander and entered the forests near Gul'var to capture a demon watcher called the All-Seeing Eye. She demanded from Khadgar that he not try to pry into the settlements of the Shadow Council. At Frostfire Ridge, Cordana asked the Horde commander to travel to Throm'var and meet with the Frostwolf orcs. When Khadgar was nearly killed by Garona Halforc, forced to serve Gul'dan, Cordana fought her and forced her to flee.

Zangarra

She later joined Khadgar in Zangarra, a stronghold of the Kirin Tor built in Talador.
As Khadgar continued his search for Gul'dan, the warlock again ordered Garona to kill him. This time the half-breed almost succeeded, wounding and poisoning the Archmage. Cordana was also injured in the battle, but quickly recovered. She remained by Khadgar's side and sent the garrison commander in pursuit of Garona. The hero was able to catch the escaped half-breed and returned to Zangarra to the tower with the antidote. Khadgar took the antidote, but refused the healing magic of the priests and asked Kordana to simply stitch up the wound.

After Blackhand's death, Cordana assisted the Archmage as he tried to free Garona from Gul'dan's control. During his first attempt, he used powerful magic, which caused the half-breed to feel incredible pain. Khadgar, who wanted to know where Gul'dan was hiding, caused the captive more and more pain, and Cordana demanded that he stop torturing her. Khadgar admitted that the guard was right, and, after apologizing to Garona, began searching for another way.

The Archmage sent the garrison commander to retrieve the Sphere of Dominion, which belonged to the Shadow Council and was used to brainwash spies. When the hero returned with the orb, Cordana warned Khadgar that he was trying to use dark magic. She greatly disliked what the Archmage was playing with, although he was able to free Garona's mind from the iron grip of Gul'dan. Cordana demanded that Khadgar give the Orb of Dominion to her, and said that she intended to destroy this disgusting object. The guard remained in Zangarra when Khadgar, along with Garona, went to Bladerage Command, wanting to track down Gul'dan.

Betrayal

The Warlock used the Orb of Dominion to influence Cordana from afar and win her over to his side. When the hero brought many tomes of chaos from Hellfire Citadel, Khadgar asked him to give the books to Cordana so that she could destroy them. Books could not be burned in the usual way because of the tormented souls chained to the pages. Arriving at Cordana, the hero discovered that the Sphere of Dominion was still with her. The guard accepted the tomes of chaos, asking if Khadgar had tried to use them.

Cordana seemed to be fascinated by the books, which contained enormous power and rare knowledge. Drawing a runic circle, she promised the garrison commander that the tomes would be completely destroyed, and said that this would require the ring, which Khadgar had continued to enhance for the hero since his arrival on Draenor. The garrison commander refused to give Cordana the ring, and she screamed that she would take it by force for the glory of Gul'dan. She drew fel energy from the tomes to protect herself in battle.

The guard said that she spoke with the Sphere of Dominion and saw the truth. Khadgar was just a child who put on airs, tortured prisoners, played with other people's lives, and immersed himself in magic that he supposedly understood. The hero was able to weaken Cordana enough in battle that she was forced to open a portal and escape. The guard said that no one could stop Gul'dan. That the leaders will betray the hero, and Azeroth will burn. Upon learning of what had happened, Khadgar was amazed. He noticed that Cordana had moved away into Lately, but considered it part of the Guardians' normal routine. What happened to Cordana was a typical Gul'dan tactic: the warlock looked for others' weaknesses and exploited them.

Tomb of Sargeras

Shortly before the opening of the portal in the Tomb of Sargeras, Khadgar met with Maiev Shadowsong and several guards on the Broken Isles. Maiev treated the Archmage without condescension and suggested discussing the failure on Draenor. The Guardians dispatched their brave and devoted sister, who had proven herself many times in the past, to help Khadgar. Maiev wondered how it was that Cordana became a traitor after spending only a few months with Khadgar.

Maiev revealed that Cordana regularly sent reports to the Guardians and described her doubts about the sanity of the Archmage she was guarding. Cordana called Khadgar reckless, arrogant, careless, and self-willed. Although Maiev admitted that Khadgar had changed over the years, she was well acquainted with the man whom Cordana described in her letters.

A few days ago we discussed the story of Garona from our world. But who is Garona from Draenor, how was she born, and why did she serve Gul’dan? Her “liberation” by Khadgar certainly cannot be called that. In fact, we simply subjugated her mind, as one of our green friends once did.

Witty but always haunted by the shadows of those who would bend her to their will, Garona believed she had cut her way to freedom by killing Cho'gall during the events of the Warcraft comics. But, as it turned out, he did not die, appearing again during the events of the Cataclysm add-on as the final boss of the Twilight Fortress.

For Horde players, Garona made her first appearance in World of Warcraft and provided information that she hoped would help bring an end to Cho'gall. However, her attempts were thwarted by Cho'gall himself, who was subsequently finished off by the players after storming his fortress.

But Garona disappeared without a trace. And as new additions and other continents were released, she never appeared again. In Warlords of Draenor we meet a different Garona, whose biography begins on the alternative Draenor. Oddly enough, nothing is mentioned about her past, although it was, to put it mildly, unusual even in our version of history; and it seems that any connections she has with Maraad are absent in this world. Which makes us wonder - where does she come from then?

ATTENTION! The text below contains spoilers regarding the currently available portion of the legendary quest chain.

In this world, her name remains the same - she is still called the Half-Orc, which means that she is a half-breed, like her original. However, given the changed course of history of the local Draenor, we can only guess how she became one. Grommash and the rest of the orcs never drank the blood of Mannoroth in this timeline. But in the original timeline, Gul'dan ruled the orcs long before the gift was offered to him and consumed.

This fact makes the Warlords of Draenor timeline a bit inconsistent. We know that Garrosh Hellscream showed up at some point, spoke to Grommash at some point, and at some point after that he went to meet Gul'dan in the Gul'dan and the Stranger comic. Presumably, this took quite a long time, since the events of the comic take place three days before the Warlords of Draenor trailer.

And when we find Gul'dan, he is captured by the Iron Horde and, along with his followers, is used to fuel the Dark Portal connecting their world to ours. We know that events have taken a different turn, since Ner'zhul does not have anything remotely resembling the prestige and influence with which he started the war between the orcs and the draenei in the original.

In fact, to some extent, his clan coexisted quite calmly with the draenei of Shadowmoon Valley until Grommash came with Garrosh and told him to prove his worth. Rulkan is still alive in Draenor here, which means Kil'jaden initially made contact with Gul'dan.

But what is Garona's role in all this? When was it created? How did she fall into Gul'dan's clutches? Did he have some kind of method of aging orcs that we simply never witnessed? Garona is as green-skinned as Gul'dan and the rest of the Shadow Council orcs on Draenor - but was Gul'dan created her in a similar way to our timeline, or was she originally a half-breed who was convinced to drink the blood of Mannoroth?

Presumably, Gul'dan has as much power over Garona as the Shadow Council did in our dimension - when did he manage to achieve this? Where did she come from, and how did he manage to so masterfully bend her to his will?

Unfortunately, all these questions risk remaining unanswered forever.

Garona's first appearance on Draenor is directly related to Khadgar's intervention. After leading the players on a journey that ultimately leads to a confrontation with Gul'dan, Khadgar is unexpectedly attacked by Garona, who fails to kill him and disappears without a trace.

We only meet her again much later, when she manages to wound Khadgar and escape, forcing the player to chase after her and eventually capture her. And from that moment on, she is imprisoned - exactly until the player collects the tablets of the elements necessary to improve the legendary ring.

Khadgar claims that with all the information we've provided, he may have found a way to negate Gul'dan's mind control over Garona. And then things take a rather nasty turn.

Khadgar doesn't seem particularly concerned about Garona's health. Instead, he demands information from her about Gul'dan's whereabouts, and, ignoring her protests and cries, repeatedly roasts her for the information he needs.

Cordana Felsong quite rightly asks him to stop, and asks: “What is the difference between what you are doing and torture?” But Khadgar does not immediately stop his actions. “But she knows...” he expresses mild dissatisfaction, before admitting that Cordana was right and the fact that Gul’dan had already distorted Garona’s mind.

He returns to his tower, and then immediately tells the player that he knows the possible location of the Orb of Power - a powerful item that can break Gul'dan's bonds if used correctly.

As soon as we bring the sphere, Khadgar uses the artifact on Garon, freeing her. She expresses her gratitude, says she owes him everything, and goes on to fully support his efforts to put an end to Gul'dan. Once you complete a stealth mission with Garona, she decides to follow you and serve in your garrison.

Maybe it's just my opinion, but watching Garona get tortured was a little hard. But what was even harder was witnessing her immediate capitulation to Khadgar after he "freed" her from Gul'dan's control using the Orb of Power. A thing that controls the mind and twists it to do the will of the caster.

And some part of me wonders: why an orc, born and raised on Draenor; an orc who appeared to serve Gul'dan voluntarily; an orc who never left Gul'dan's control; orc, whose past is not directly connected with human race, suddenly, out of the blue, raised her hands up, thanked a completely alien representative of a race with which she is not familiar, for her supposed “liberation”, despite her recent torture, and agreed to carry out his orders?

Have we truly “liberated” Garona, or is she only serving us because she is now under control? Khadgar? And if so, then why are we better than Gul’dan?

We do not know. And we would never fully know, since the satellite would not give us any answers, or elements of history, or new tasks. All of this makes me feel a little uneasy, because it feels like we've just stripped one of the key figures in Warcraft lore from her life as it was, and replaced it with "exploits" that we'll never witness - all in order to add another orange follower to the barracks.

It looks like we forced Garona to trade one form of service for another, and that doesn't seem like a pious act. Garona herself is partly to blame for this, and how willingly she switches sides without a second thought - all of which calls into question what Khadgar was doing when casting the spell to free her.

Because here’s the catch: Khadgar didn’t know for sure that this Garona was under the rule of Gul’dan - and how could he know? He didn't know how long she had served the warlock, or what her loyalty was based on. He made his judgment about this Garon based on what he knew about Garon from our the world, the one who was truly unhappy - the one who was desperately trying to escape the fate prepared for her, which she never agreed to.

He knew our Garona; he had seen her scared out of her mind in Karazhan, seeing a vision of a future she wished never came. He saw her watch with tears in her eyes the moment of her unimaginable betrayal by the man who had always treated her as nothing less than a worthy individual. And then he looked around and assumed that the local Garona was acting from the same motives.

And despite knowing about our Garona, he imprisoned her, tortured her, and eventually “freed” her, conveniently using one of the Shadow Council's tools for this purpose.

Even if this were true, if Garona truly wanted to free herself from Gul'dan's control, there is not the slightest hint of this until she is "freed", at which point her story conveniently comes to an end. And that's exactly the problem - we have no proof, no evidence to back up what Khadgar said.

We only have his word - the word of a man who did not hesitate to torture a half-orc to get the answers he needed, stopping the torture only when his companion objected loudly enough. And considering all of Khadgar's deeds that we have witnessed in this expansion, his word is not one that I would trust. Which is incredibly ironic for a man whose name literally translates to "Trust" in Dwarvish.

And all this brings me to another uncomfortable question that I have been asking since the first appearance of the local Garona - where is our Garona? Why didn't she come with us to Draenor now that the shackles that held her were broken? It's safe to say that if anyone knows Gul'dan completely and completely, it's she, not Khadgar.

And given her position as a fugitive on the run from Varian's wrath, wouldn't it be logical to try to atone for the sins she committed while under Gul'dan's control and stop his second coming? To help both the Horde and the Alliance alike, away from the gaze of Stormwind, letting her actions speak for her; and hope to return to Azeroth, at least partially easing her conscience from the burden that has haunted her since the night she tore out the heart of King Llane?

After all, this is the whole of Garona - she has an iron will, always willingly fights for her freedom, and is completely devoted to this idea of personal freedom. She lost her childhood before it began, lived a life of humiliation and servitude, insulted by her own people. She always tried to hide from what happened to her; from how it was used by the Shadow Council. She went so far as to even hide from her own son so as not to harm him, knowing that there were those left who could force her to harm.

She thought she had gained her freedom at the end of the Warcraft comic book series, but discovered during the events of the Cataclysm expansion that Cho'gall was still alive. And instead of going on the run again, she came to our aid - because she knew better than anyone what a danger Cho'gall and his family posed, and she wanted to do everything possible to stop them.

All this applies, of course, only to Garona from our world, and not to Garona from Warlords of Draenor. In the end, alternative version Garona will remain a disturbing reminder of the current addition; her life and her motives will remain unrevealed; her future will be as uncertain as that of her counterpart on Azeroth.

I took her to my garrison. From there, she mindlessly goes on missions, returning with trophies and treasures, but without any objections or any noteworthy phrases, apparently absorbed in following the person whose actions led her to torture. And, I'm very sorry, but this is not at all worthy of legends.
