What patients say about Nimesil

  1. Irina. The only painkiller I have in my home medicine cabinet is Nimesil. It is really better than all other analgesics. More effective, helps very quickly. Previously, I bought analgin tablets, citramon and similar drugs. But the most they can help with is a mild headache. If you compare Nimesil with other painkillers, then it is a doubly winner. Firstly, Nimesil is a strong pain reliever, and secondly, Nimesil is a safe medicine. For example, if you take Ketanov, then this drug is quite harmful. For me Nimesil is No. 1;
  2. Ivan. After my wisdom tooth was removed, I just live on Nimesil, we tried Nurofen, but it doesn’t help at all. And the next day they also cut out the papilloma, and the dentist and surgeon, both doctors, recommended taking Nimesil and indeed, after 20-40 minutes. the pain goes away, lasts for 5-6 hours. Before that I was saved by ketanov, but the doctor categorically forbade it, because this drug is a very strong painkiller and has too many side effects, but in fact I don’t see the point in it, since Nimesil is in comparison with Ketanov it works no worse, and maybe even better;
  3. Anastatsia. I have been familiar with Nimesil powder for a long time. At the first symptoms of a cold, for example, poor general condition, low temperature, he always came to the rescue, and even with a high temperature and an illness that had already begun, Nimesil quickly relieved the symptoms - using the drug put me back on my feet in a few days. Once, my gums became inflamed, with swelling of the cheek and pain in the throat and ear, near the wisdom tooth, an operation was performed to cut the hood, but recovery was accompanied by high fever, and here Nimesil also helped me. It comes in the form of a packet of powder and is easy to prepare – just add hot water, stir and drink. It has a slightly sweet and sour, not cloying taste. The drug has helped me more than once, and I noticed that it is much more effective than other powders for colds;
  4. Diana. I use it in high temperatures. Powder in bags. Twice a day. Dilute in hot water and drink. It will relieve the fever and aches in the joints too. Not very good for liver function, but no worse than other drugs). After taking the solution, you feel slightly sleepy. Both for viruses and colds - it will ease the symptoms, and maybe put you back on your feet;
  5. Julia. For toothache, when I read several interesting publications of Nimesil, Nimid turned out to be the best analgesic and anti-inflammatory drug. Do not rinse a teaspoon of salt into a glass of warm water, but put it in your mouth and hold it until it cools down. Dentists do not allow rinsing; the inflammatory process can go inside;
  6. Dmitriy. One evening after dinner my tooth began to ache. Out of habit, I tried to pick at my tooth with a toothpick. But somehow I was getting worse and worse, but not to such an extent that I needed to go to the hospital at night. I asked my wife to look for something for the pain. But as always, there was nothing in the first aid kit. And the 24-hour pharmacy is located on the other side of the city. But my wife says that when she has women’s days, she takes Nimesil and an online pharmacy helped her with this; she once bought the medicine there. She brought me instructions and said that it is also taken for toothache. Indeed, after 10 minutes the pain subsided. A good remedy helps instantly;
  7. Ksenia. I first discovered Nimesil powder when I had a toothache. After visiting the dentist, my tooth started to hurt. I came to him again, he said that this could happen within three days and prescribed the use of Nimesil powder. I bought 6 sachets, because I didn’t need more, and a whole package is expensive, because there are 30 sachets. I drank Nimesil after meals, diluting it in half a glass of water twice a day. The pain subsided within 15 minutes. It turns out that Nimesil can be taken not only for pain, but also as an antipyretic and anti-inflammatory. When I was sick with ARVI, I just bought this powder for myself to relieve my body temperature. Also, the action begins after 15 minutes. The powder tastes pleasant, with a lemony taste. There were no side effects when taking the drug. But it should not be taken frequently as it may cause stomach irritation. Therefore, it is important to drink it after meals. The cost of Nimesil powder for 6 sachets is 120 rubles, that is, the whole pack costs 600 rubles.

One of the means of choice for eliminating acute pain syndrome is Nimesil powder. This drug has a good short-term effect, but is dangerous due to the potential for many side effects. The best recommendation in this case would be to refrain from self-prescribing potent drugs.

The bag contains small granules for preparing a suspension. The taste of the drink is improved by orange flavoring, sweetener and citric acid. To maintain the suspension structure, macrogol polymer and maltodextrin are added to the powder.

The main active component is the substance nimesulide. A serving prepared from one sachet contains 0.1 g of this component.

Pharmacological properties and indications for use

When answering the question of what Nimesil helps with, you should immediately say that it does not have a therapeutic effect - the suspension is drunk as a pain reliever.

It relieves sensations in the following conditions:

  • joint pain;
  • pain during the menstrual cycle;
  • acute muscle pain, including after injuries and sprains;
  • pain syndrome due to inflammation of teeth and gums.

The active component blocks receptors sensitive to pain mediators.

As a result, when inflammatory agents are released into the intercellular space, the nerve endings simply cease to perceive them. The acute sensations are suppressed, the pain gradually subsides.

In addition, the same component acts in another direction - it reduces the production of substances formed during inflammation. Thus, not only the pain syndrome subsides, but also the redness, swelling, and swelling of the tissues disappear.

Age restrictions for admission

Powder for oral administration is prohibited for children under twelve years of age due to its high toxicity.

Nimesil powder: instructions for use

This substance is a potent one. Its incorrect dosage can have far-reaching negative consequences. The likelihood of adverse reactions can be reduced by reducing the duration of administration.

How to dilute Nimesil powder

The granules dissolve best in warm water. They are placed in a glass and filled with one hundred milliliters of liquid. The prepared product is not stored, but consumed immediately.

Dosage regimen

The contents of one package are used once. This is a standard one-time rate. Everyone, starting from the age of twelve, is prescribed the same dosage.

You can take Nimesil in an amount of no more than two sachets per day. The course of treatment should not exceed twelve days.

To avoid side effects, you should try to minimize the daily consumption of the drug and the duration of the entire treatment.

Special instructions for use

  • During long-term use of the drug, it is necessary to monitor the condition of the kidneys and blood count.
  • In persons with gastrointestinal diseases, problems may worsen while taking it. At the first appearance of signs of intoxication and digestive upset, further treatment should be abandoned.
  • In patients with impaired renal and liver function, individual dosage adjustments are required. There are no such measures for older persons.

Eating food does not affect the degree of absorption of the active substance. But in order to avoid complications from the digestive tract, the prepared suspension must be drunk after meals.

In practice, cases of sharp deterioration in vision during treatment have been recorded. If you have any eye problems, you should stop taking the powder.

If during treatment the body temperature rises or respiratory infections occur, further use of the drug should be discontinued.

Drug interactions with other drugs

  1. The active substance partially inhibits the production of platelets and promotes blood thinning. Its use is contraindicated with the simultaneous administration of drugs that perform the same function. Violation of these requirements is fraught with the opening of internal bleeding.
  2. The powder can reduce the effectiveness of diuretics and prevent the removal of salts from the body.
  3. The medicine increases the toxicity of antibiotics and antitumor drugs. Their simultaneous use has a destructive effect on the liver. For the same reason, the suspension is not compatible with alcohol.
  4. With the simultaneous use of powder and vasodilators that lower blood pressure, enzymes that suppress kidney activity can accumulate. As a result, kidney failure develops as a side effect.
  5. The active substance competes with antidiabetic drugs. For this reason, taking them together is unacceptable.

Contraindications, side effects

The drug in question has an impressive list of contraindications.

Its use is canceled if the patient has had or continues to have:

  • "Nimulid" is an Indian analogue. It is found in tablets, in the form of an external gel and a ready-made suspension. Previously recommended for children as the most powerful antipyretic. Later it turned out that the reception is not compatible with high temperature.

Now all drugs based on this active substance are prohibited for use in children under 12 years of age.

The powder in question has a pronounced analgesic property. Reviews about its use are mostly positive. But do not forget that this drug greatly complicates the functioning of the liver. Therefore, if possible, long-term treatment should be avoided.

The maximum duration of treatment with this drug is 15 days. To avoid the occurrence of overdose symptoms and side effects, the minimum dose of the drug should be used for treatment, at which the desired effect occurs in the shortest possible course.

Nimesil for toothache

Nimesil is a fairly effective drug for eliminating attacks of acute toothache as a result of the development of caries or in the presence of infection in the soft tissues of the oral cavity. Inflammatory processes that occur in dental tissue, so-called pulpitis, can cause severe pain and if you do not consult a doctor in time, complications will inevitably develop that can lead to tooth loss. That is why, in case of severe pain, it is not recommended to use Nimesil constantly, since eliminating the symptom is not a complete treatment.

The human body tends to get used to various types of medications and, after prolonged use of the medication, stops responding to the active substance. That is, the drug loses its effectiveness. To relieve an attack of acute toothache, you need to take Nimesil in an amount of 100 mg twice a day on a full stomach. The prepared solution cannot be stored, so a new one must be prepared before use.

Nimesil for children

During pregnancy and lactation

The active substance of the medication may have a negative effect on the course of pregnancy itself and on the development of the fetus. The result of this effect is premature closure of the ductus arteriosus, pulmonary hypertension, renal dysfunction, including renal failure, increased risk of bleeding, edema and decreased uterine contractility.

Due to the presence of high risks, both for the health of the baby and for the expectant mother, taking Nimesil during pregnancy and breastfeeding is contraindicated. Women planning their pregnancy should refuse treatment with this drug due to the effect of its components on female fertility.

Overdose

The instructions note that the symptoms of an acute overdose of Nimesil are the following conditions:

  • drowsiness;
  • apathy towards everything:
  • constant feeling of nausea, periodic vomiting;
  • pain in the epigastric region;
  • gastrointestinal bleeding;
  • arterial hypertension;
  • breathing problems;
  • renal failure;
  • coma.

Treatment: all side effects are easily reversible with appropriate symptomatic treatment.

Interaction with other drugs

  • GCS. Joint use with Nimesil increases the risk of ulcers and bleeding of the gastrointestinal tract.
  • Fluoxetine and other antiplatelet agents. The risk of gastrointestinal bleeding increases.
  • Anticoagulants. Combined use may lead to an increase in the effect of the main active substance. It is not recommended to combine Nimesil with drugs in this category for people with coagulation disorders due to the increased risk of bleeding. If this is not possible, then the patient's condition must be constantly monitored.
  • Diuretics. Nimesil may reduce the effect of diuretics. The active substance may reduce the excretion of sodium and potassium under the influence of furosemide. When furosemide and Nimesil are prescribed simultaneously to patients with impaired cardiac and renal function, additional monitoring is required.
  • ACE inhibitors. When these drugs are combined with Nimesil, the effect of the former is reduced. In the presence of renal failure, regardless of the degree of the disease, kidney function deteriorates. With timely treatment, acute renal failure is reversible.
  • Lithium preparations. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs can increase the concentration of lithium in the patient's blood. If Nimesil is prescribed within 24 hours after taking methotrexate, since when taken together, the toxicity of the latter drug may increase.

The active substance is displaced by salicylic and valproic acid, tolbutamide from the binding sites.
