Your Resurrection, Christ the Savior, the angels sing in heaven, and grant us on earth to glorify You with a pure heart.

Troparion of Easter, tone 5:

Christ rose from the dead, trampling down death and giving life to those in the tombs.

Ipakoi Easter, tone 4:

Having anticipated the morning about Mary and having found the stone rolled away from the tomb, I heard from the Angel: in the light of the ever-present Being with the dead, what are you looking for, as a man? You see the grave linens: preach to you and to the world that the Lord has risen, the one who put death to death, as he is the Son of God, who saves the human race.

Easter Kontakion, tone 8:

Even though you descended into the grave, Immortal, you destroyed the power of hell, and you rose again as the Victor, Christ God, to the myrrh-bearing women: Rejoice! and grant peace to your apostles, give Resurrection to the fallen.

Honorer of Easter, voice 1:

The angel cried with more grace: Pure Virgin, rejoice, and again the river: Rejoice! Your Son has risen three days from the grave and raised up the dead: rejoice, people. Shine, shine, New Jerusalem, for the glory of the Lord has risen upon You. Rejoice now and be glad, O Zion. You, Pure One, rejoice, O Mother of God, about the rise of Your birth.

Exapostilary of Easter

Having fallen asleep in the flesh as if dead, O King and Lord, Thou hast risen for three days, raised Adam from aphids, and abolished death: Passover of incorruption, salvation of the world

EASTER CANON, tone 1

Song 1

Irmos: Resurrection day, let us enlighten people: Easter, the Lord's Easter! From death to life, and from earth to Heaven, Christ God has led us, singing in victory.

Chorus:

Christ is risen from the dead (before each troparion of the canon)
Let us purify our senses, and let us see the impregnable light of Christ’s resurrection shining, and rejoice, speaking clearly, and let us hear, singing victoriously.

Chorus:

Christ is risen from the dead
Let the heavens rejoice with dignity, let the earth rejoice, let the world celebrate, all visible and invisible: Christ has risen, eternal joy.

Theotokos*:

(The giving is sung from the second day of Easter)

(*Chorus to them: “Most Holy Theotokos, save us,” or “Glory...”, “And now...”.)

You have broken the limit of mortification, having given birth to eternal life Christ, who has risen from the tomb today, the All-Immaculate Virgin, and who has enlightened the world. Having seen your resurrected Son and God, rejoice with the apostles, God-gracious pure one: and rejoice first, for you have received all the joys of wine, the All-immaculate Mother of God.

Song 3

Come, we drink new beer, it is not from the barren stone that the miracle works, but from the incorruptible source, from the tomb that rained Christ, we are established in Nemzhe.

Now everything is filled with light, Heaven and earth and the underworld: let all creation celebrate the rise of Christ, established in Him.

Yesterday I was buried with You, Christ, today I stand with You in resurrection, I was crucified with You yesterday, glorify me Yourself, O Savior, in Your Kingdom.

Theotokos:

I come today to imperishable life, born of the goodness of You, Pure One, and illuminated with all the light. God, Whom you gave birth to in the flesh, from the dead, as you said, having risen and seen, Pure One, rejoice, and exalt Him as God, Most Pure One.

Ipakoi, voice 4:

Having anticipated the morning of Mary, and having found the stone rolled away from the tomb, I hear from the Angel: in the light of the ever-present Being, what are you looking for with the dead, like a man? You see the graveclothes, tetsite, and preach to the world that the Lord has arisen, the one who put to death death, as he is the Son of God, saving the human race.

Song 4

Irmos:

On divine watch, may the God-speaking Habakkuk stand with us and show us a luminous angel, clearly saying: today is salvation for the world, for Christ has risen, for he is omnipotent.

The male sex, as if Christ had opened the virgin womb, was called: like a man, He was called Lamb: and blameless, for the taste of filth is our Passover, and for the true God is perfect in His words.

Like the one-year-old lamb, Christ, the blessed crown for us, was slain for all, the cleansing Passover, and again from the tomb the red sun of righteousness rose for us.

God-father David, galloping before the hay ark, but the holy people of God, seeing the images of the event, rejoice divinely, as Christ is risen, as omnipotent.

Theotokos: Having created Adam, Your forefather, the Pure One is built from You, and destroy the mortal dwelling with Your death today, and illuminate everything with the divine splendor of the resurrection. Whom you gave birth to Christ, who rose beautifully from the dead, Pure, seeing, kind and blameless in women and red, today for the salvation of all, with the apostles rejoicing, glorify Him.

Song 5

Let us morning the deep morning, and instead of peace we will bring a song to the Lady, and we will see Christ, the Sun of Truth, life shining for all.

Thy immeasurable compassion is visible through the bonds of hell, Christ walks toward the light with merry feet, praising the eternal Easter.

Let us come, O luminaries, to Christ proceeding from the tomb as a bridegroom, and let us celebrate God’s saving Pascha with lustful rites.

Theotokos:

The divine rays and life-giving rays of the resurrection of Your Son, Most Pure Mother of God, are enlightened, and the pious assembly is filled with joy. You did not open the gates of virginity in the incarnation, you did not destroy the seals of the coffin, the King of creation: from where you saw the resurrected, Mother rejoiced.

Song 6

Irmos:

You descended into the underworld of the earth and crushed the eternal faiths that contain those bound to Christ, and you rose from the grave for three days, like Jonah from the whale.

Having preserved the signs intact, Christ, you rose from the grave, the keys of the Virgin unharmed at your birth, and you opened the doors of heaven to us.

My Savior, the living and non-sacrificial slaughter, as God Himself brought to the Father by His own will, You resurrected the all-begotten Adam, rose from the grave.

Theotokos:

Elevated from ancient times by death and corruption, Incarnate from Your most pure womb, to the incorruptible and everlasting life, Virgin Mary. Descended into the underworld of the earth, into Your lie, the Pure One, descended, and was infused and incarnated more than the mind, and raised Adam with Him, rose from the grave.

Kontakion, tone 8

Even though you descended into the grave, Immortal, you destroyed the power of hell, and you rose again as a conqueror, Christ God, saying to the myrrh-bearing women: Rejoice, and grant peace to your apostles, grant resurrection to the fallen.

Ikos

Even before the sun, the Sun sometimes set in the tomb, leading to the morning, looking for the Myrrh-Bearing Virgin like the day, and crying out to friends to friends: O friends! Come, let us anoint the life-giving and buried body with stinks, the flesh of the Resurrected fallen Adam, lying in the tomb. We come, sweating like wolves, and let us worship, and bring peace like gifts, not in swaddling clothes, but in a shroud, to Him entwined, and we weep and cry out: O Master, arise, grant resurrection to the fallen.

Having seen the Resurrection of Christ, let us worship the Holy Lord Jesus, the only sinless One, we worship Your Cross, O Christ, and we sing and glorify Your holy resurrection: for You are our God, do we know no other to You, we call Your name. Come, all you faithful, let us worship the holy resurrection of Christ: behold, for through the Cross joy has come to the whole world. Always blessing the Lord, we sing of His resurrection: having endured crucifixion, destroy death through death. (Thrice)

Jesus rose from the grave, as He prophesied, to give us eternal life and great mercy. (Thrice)

Song 7

He who delivered the youths from the cave, having become a man, suffers as if mortal, and with the passion of death he clothes the mortal in incorruptibility with splendor. God alone is blessed and glorified.

Wives from the world of God-wise follow in your footsteps: Whom, as if dead, I seek with tears, bowing down, rejoicing in the Living God, and Your secret Pascha, O Christ, the disciple of the gospel.

In death we celebrate the mortification, the destruction of hell, the beginning of another eternal life, and playfully we sing of the Guilty One, the only one blessed by the fathers of God and the most glorified.

As truly sacred and all-celebratory, this saving night, and the luminous, light-bearing day, is the herald of the rising of beings: in it, the flightless Light from the grave rose carnally to all.

Theotokos:

Having put to death Your Son, the All-Immaculate Death, today, the life of all mortals remains free for all eternity, One blessed and glorified God of the Fathers. Reign over all creation, having been a man, you entered into Your, God-gracious, womb, and having endured crucifixion and death, you rose again divinely, making us like omnipotent.

Song 8

This is the appointed and holy day, one Sabbath King and Lord, a feast of feasts, and a triumph is a triumph: in it let us bless Christ forever.

Come, new vine birth, divine joy, in the deliberate days of resurrection, let us partake of the Kingdom of Christ, singing Him as God forever.

Lift your eyes around, O Zion, and see: behold, your children have come to you like a divinely bright light, from the west, and the north, and the sea, and the east, blessing Christ in you forever.

Trinity:

Most Holy Trinity our God, glory to Thee. Father Almighty, and Word, and Soul, the three Nature united in hypostases, the Most Essential and the Most Divine, we are baptized in Thee, and we bless Thee forever.

Theotokos:

By You the Lord, Virgin Mary, came into the world and dissolved the womb of hell, granting us mortals the resurrection: with the same let us bless Him forever. Thy Son, the Virgin, has overthrown all the power of death by His resurrection, as the mighty God has exalted us and deified us: in the same way we glorify Him forever.

Song 9

Chorus:

My soul magnifies Christ the Giver of Life, who rose three days from the grave.

Irmos:

Shine, shine, new Jerusalem: for the glory of the Lord is upon you, rejoice now, and rejoice, O Zion! You, Pure One, show off, O Mother of God, about the rise of Your Nativity.

Chorus:

Christ is the new Passover, living sacrifice, Lamb of God, take away the sins of the world.

Oh, divine! Oh dear! O Thy sweetest voice! You have truly promised to be with us until the end of the age; Christ, Who is faithful, the affirmation of hope, we rejoice.

Chorus:

The angel cried out with more grace: pure Virgin, rejoice, and again the river, rejoice! Your Son is risen three days from the grave, and raised the dead, O people, rejoice.

Oh, great and sacred Easter, Christ! About wisdom, and the Word of God, and Power! Grant us more time to partake of You, in the unfading days of Your Kingdom.

Theotokos:

According to You, Virgin, we are blessed to be faithful: Rejoice, O door of the Lord, Rejoice, animated city; Rejoice, for for our sake the light has now arisen from You, Who was born from the dead of the resurrection. Rejoice and rejoice, divine door of Light: for Jesus entered the tomb, ascended, shining brighter than the sun, and illuminated all the faithful, joyful to the Lady.

Exapostilarius is self-agreed

Having fallen asleep in the flesh as if dead, Thou art the King and Lord, who rose for three days, raised Adam from aphids, and abolished death: Easter is incorruptible, the salvation of the world. (Thrice)

EASTER VERSES

Verse: Let God rise again, and let His enemies be scattered.

The sacred Easter has appeared to us today: the new holy Easter, the mysterious Easter, the all-honorable Easter, the Easter of Christ the Redeemer, the immaculate Easter, the great Easter, the Easter of the faithful, the Easter that opens the doors of heaven to us, the Easter that sanctifies all the faithful.

Verse: As smoke disappears, let them disappear.

Come from the vision of the wife of the gospel, and cry to Zion: receive from us the joy of the annunciation of the resurrection of Christ; Show off, rejoice and rejoice, Jerusalem, seeing King Christ from the tomb like a bridegroom, taking place.

Thus, let sinners perish from the presence of God, and let righteous women rejoice.

The myrrh-bearing woman, in the deep morning, appeared at the tomb of the Life-Giver, found an angel, sat on a stone, and said to them: Why are you looking for the Living One with the dead? Why are you crying into the aphids? Go and preach as His disciples.

This day, which the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad on it.

Red Easter, Easter, Lord's Easter! Easter is an honorable blessing for us! Easter! Let us embrace each other with joy. O Easter! Deliverance of sorrow, for from the tomb today, as Christ has risen from the palace, fill the women with joy with the verb: preach as an apostle.

Glory, and now:

Resurrection day, and let us be enlightened by triumph, and embrace each other. By saying, brothers, and to those who hate us, let us forgive all by the resurrection, and let us cry out thus:

Christ is risen from the dead,
trample death by death
and gave life to those in the tombs.

(Christ rose from the dead, trampling down death by death,
and giving life to those in the tombs.)

3. Irmos of the 1st song of the Easter canon

Resurrection day, let us enlighten people, Easter, the Lord's Easter: from death to life, and from earth to Heaven, Christ God has led us, singing in victory.

4.Christ is risen!

Christ is Risen! People are brothers!
Each other in warm arms
Hurry up to joyfully accept!
Let's forget the quarrels, insults,
Yes, the bright holiday of Sunday
Nothing will overshadow!

Christ is Risen! Hell is trembling
And the sun of eternal truth shines
Above the renewed earth:
And the whole universe is warmed
A ray of Divine light,
Taste joy and peace.

Christ is Risen! Holy day!
Thunder in all corners of the universe,
Unceasing praise to the Creator!
Sorrows and sorrows have passed.
The shackles of sin have fallen from us,
The soul recoiled from evil!..

(V. Bazhanov, from the book of Archpriest G. Dyachenko “Spiritual Sowings”, published in 1900).

5. Savior

Burning with love for neighbors,
He taught the people humility;
He is all the laws of Moses
Subjected to the law of love.

He does not tolerate anger or vengeance,
He preaches forgiveness
Orders to repay evil with good;
There is an unearthly power in Him:

He restores sight to the blind,
Gives both strength and movement
To the one who was both weak and lame;

He doesn't need recognition:
The heart's thinking is open;
His searching gaze
No one has stood it yet;

Targeting illness, healing torment,
Everywhere He was the Savior,
And extended a good hand to everyone,
And he didn’t condemn anyone.

(Alexey Tolstoy, from the book of Archpriest G. Dyachenko “Spiritual Sowings”, published 1900).

6.Love!..

Love when everyone loves you
Love when you are cursed!
Let them destroy you for love
and they will betray you to ridicule!..

Love everyone, everyone! - enemies as brothers,
Send blessings;
Like the sun to darkness - be a stranger to curses:
Live and die lovingly!

Love, let your heart be sacred:
It is bequeathed by Christ,
Crucified with Him on the cross
And with Him he rose again in triumph!

(Helmsman, 1900, No. 24).

7. To You, my Savior

I appeal to You, my Savior,
I strive for You with my sick soul;
I look to You with hope
And I cry bitterly before You:

"Stretch out your holy hands to me
And wash me from sin;
I want to forget the torment of life
And only in You can I find peace.

I want with hot lips
Just call on your name,
I want repentance with tears
I beg for forgiveness.

Forgive me for my crazy murmur,
That I could not bear the grief;
Stormy rush of despair
Forget, my Savior, forgive me.

I won’t go to people with sadness:
They don't care much about others
But before You I bow my head
And I will rest at Your feet...

And you are like a quiet evening light,
You will pour joy into my soul,
Take the sharp thorns out of your heart
And you will send me further on my way,

And I will go, stay with me, -
Then the path of life is not terrible.
Savior! Be my star
So that I don't drown in the sea.

Oh, teach me, Savior,
Which way to go?
To open Your abode
and find eternal happiness.

Oh give me strength, give me patience
Carry your cross and don’t grumble,
When there's a stumbling block
I have to step up in life.

So that with all my soul, and not outwardly
I could forgive people everything,
So that I serve when they need,
And I could sincerely love...”

(Folk).

8. Don't lose heart. There is hope - Christ

Don’t lose heart, soul, don’t grieve, don’t pronounce decisive judgment on yourself for your many sins, don’t attract fire on yourself, don’t say: the Lord has cast me away from His face.

God does not like such words. - Can’t someone who has fallen rise again? Can't anyone who has turned away be converted? Or don’t you hear what the Father’s grace is to the prodigal?

Do not be ashamed to turn, but say with boldness: I have risen, I am going to my Father! Get up and go.

He will accept you and not reproach you, but will rejoice more at your return. He is waiting for you; just don’t be ashamed and don’t hide from the face of God, like Adam.

For your sake, Christ was crucified and will he reject you? He knows who oppresses us; knows
that we have no other helper but His alone.

Christ knows that man is poor. Do not give in to despair and negligence, as if you were destined for fire. It is no consolation for Christ to cast us into fire; It is not gain for Him to send us into the abyss to be tormented.

Imitate the prodigal son: leave the starving city. Come and beg, and you will see the glory of God. Your face will be illuminated, and you will rejoice in the paradise of sweetness. Glory to the Lord, Lover of Mankind, who saves us!

(Psalter of St. Ephraim the Syrian, ps. 27).

(Bible, Book of Prophet Daniel 3: 52-90)

In the irmos of the Easter canon, St. John of Damascus reinterprets biblical songs in the context of the Resurrection of Christ. For example, in the irmos of the first song of the canon, the words “victorious singing” refer us to the first biblical song - the victory song of the Israelites after crossing the Red Sea. Only in the biblical song victory is deliverance from the armies of Pharaoh, and in the Irmos it is deliverance from death. And the Irmos also uses the image of the transition “from death to life, from earth to heaven, Christ God has brought us”: just as Moses led the Israeli people out of Egyptian slavery, so Christ led us “from death to life.”

Song 4.

“On Divine Guard” is an almost literal beginning of the book of the prophet Habakkuk 2:1. The Divine guard is the guard of the human mind, entirely directed towards Divine understanding; the prophet Habakkuk stood guard according to the dignity of contemplation of the high priesthood received from God. And further in the fourth biblical song we hear about the fruits of this guard - the visions of the prophet: “Lord, I heard Your hearing and was afraid; Lord, I understood Your works and was horrified. In the midst of two animals you will be known. Sometimes you come closer in the summer and get to know each other; when the time has come, appear; Whenever my soul is troubled in anger, remember Your mercy.” “As he is omnipotent” - the prophet Habakkuk describes the omnipotence or omnipotence of God in the fourth canto in great detail, as righteously angry with his enemies and destroying them for the sake of saving His people - “today is the salvation of the world.” In the Irmos we hear the call to stand guard with us on this luminous day and the prophet Habakkuk, who once contemplated the omnipotence, greatness and love of God: “The heavens have covered His virtue, and the earth is full of His praises. And His radiance will be like a light; put it in His hands, and make love the sovereignty of Your strength.” The name of the prophet Habakkuk means “father of awakening,” which connects the theme of the resurrection of Christ with the meaning of the awakening of the Lord, i.e. the salvation of the world on this day of awakening, as was clearly shown by the Angel in a vision to Habakkuk.

Song 5.

Irmos: Let us morning the deep morning, / and instead of peace we will bring a song to the Master, / and Christ we will see / the Sun of truth, / life shining for all.

“From the night my spirit will mature to You, O God” - this beginning of the fifth biblical hymn clearly connects the prophet’s thought with the theme of the Resurrection of Christ at the beginning of the irmos of the fifth ode of the Paschal canon, only the prophet means the seeking and striving for God in one’s interior both at night and early in the morning, and the Easter hymn calls with these words on believers both in the dead of night and “very early” (Luke 24:1) to sing praises to the risen Savior. All Christians are called to stay awake on this luminous night, to remain in Easter hymns and praises until the morning, because the truth of God has triumphed - “before the light of Thy commandment is upon the earth. You who live on earth will learn the truth. They will rise from the dead, and those who are in their graves will rise, and those who are on earth will rejoice” - “the Sun of righteousness, / life shining upon all.”

Song 6.

Irmos: Thou didst descend into the nether regions of the earth, / and shattered the eternal faiths, / containing those bound, Christ, / and the third day, like Jonah from the whale, / rose up from the grave.

“From the belly of hell my cry, you heard my voice... The water poured out to my soul, the abyss of my life was the last... I descended into the earth, even though its faith was sealed for eternity” - this cry of the prophet Jonah prefigures the stay in hell of prisoners, where, by mercy and love for mankind, he descended You are the Lord (to the underworld), breaking those eternal shackles that were previously not subject to anyone, granting freedom through His entire resurrection. We find the literal text about the destruction of faiths in the prophet Isaiah (Is. 45:2-3). According to Rev. Maximus the Confessor, the earth in the text of the prophet Jonah is the vices and sins of human flesh, and the eternal bolts are the passions that chain human nature to the earthly. Like Jonah, who stayed in the belly of the whale for three days, the Lord, who stayed in the bowels of the earth for three days, “rose from the grave,” giving us victory over sin, passions and death.

The Easter canon is based on the Words of St. Gregory the Theologian 1st “For Easter” and 45th “For Holy Easter”.

Word 1 “For Easter”

Song 1.

Irmos: Resurrection day, / let us be enlightened, people. / Easter, the Lord's Easter, / from death to life, / and from earth to heaven, / Christ God has led us, / singing in victory.

Resurrection Day is the most favorable beginning to enlighten our souls with the triumph of the great holiday - let us yield everything to the Resurrection, using good compulsion; Let us choose this day as the beginning of our care for good, so that the Lord who has now risen from the dead will renew us with the Spirit, passing “from death to life”, making us new people, a new creation, which with Christ dies willingly and is resurrected, “leading us from earth to heaven.” "

Song 3.

Yesterday I was buried with You, Christ, / I stand with You today / I will resurrect You, / I crucified You yesterday, / Glorify me Yourself, O Savior, in Your Kingdom.

Yesterday I was crucified, died and was buried with Christ, now I am glorified with Him, made alive and resurrected by His resurrection.

Song 4.

Like the one-year-old lamb, / the crown of Christ blessed for us, / I willed for all to be slain, / the cleansing Passover, / and the Sun rose from the tomb of red / righteousness for us.

Saint Gregory reminds believers of the details of the mourning of the Egyptian firstborn (10 plagues), comparing our life enslaved to the flesh with the enslavement of Israel in Egypt. Yesterday, by will, the Lamb was slain for us, “the doors were anointed, Egypt mourned for the firstborn; the destroyer has passed by us, the seal for him is terrible and venerable,” and with his holy, pure blood we are cleansed and protected, so that we freely celebrate the Easter of Christ - the feast of the coming to the Sun of truth that has shone upon us.

Word 45 “For Holy Easter.”

Song 4.

Irmos: On the Divine guard / God-speaking Habakkuk / may he stand with us and show / the luminous Angel / clearly saying: / today is the salvation of the world, / as Christ is risen, / as he is omnipotent.

“He stood on my watch” (Hab. 2:1), according to the word of the prophet and the grace of contemplation given by the Spirit, the saint strives to look and learn what was shown and said to the prophet Habakkuk. “I stood and looked: and behold a man ascended on the clouds, a very tall man, and his image was like the appearance of an Angel (Judges 13:6), and his clothing was like the brilliance of flying lightning. He raised his hand to the east, exclaimed with a loud voice (and his voice was like the voice of a trumpet, and around him was like the host of heaven) and said: “Now is salvation for the world, the visible world and the invisible world!” (St. Gregory the Theologian).

Song 7.

As truly sacred, / and all-celebratory this saving night, / and radiant, / of the light-bearing day, / the herald of the rising of beings, / in the same flightless Light from the grave, fleshly rose to all.

Holy Easter night - a luminous day, / the herald of the rising of the being - “the image of the great light, the light with which the sky shines from above, illuminating the whole world with its beauties, the premium light that flows from Him in the angels, the first bright nature after the First Nature, - and Light in the Trinity, by which all light is composed, divided and adorned from the indivisible Light. But the current luminosity is more beautiful and brilliant, because yesterday’s light was the forerunner of the great and resurrected Light, and, as it were, pre-holiday joy; and now we celebrate the resurrection itself, not yet expected, but already accomplished and reconciling the whole world” (St. Gregory the Theologian).

At Easter services we often hear a group of texts beginning with the words “The sacred Easter has appeared to us today.”The group of texts beginning with the words “The sacred Easter has appeared to us today” are the stichera of Easter. They are in the Colored Triodion, at the Easter Matins service and at weekly vespers. They sound throughout Bright Week at Matins, as well as at weekly vespers during the second period of the celebration of Easter.

2 quotes from the stichera: “Easter, the Lord’s Easter! / All-honorable Easter / risen for us. Easter, / let us embrace each other with joy”; “Let's hug each other. / We pray, brothers, / and to those who hate us, / we will forgive all by the Resurrection” - “Easter! The Lord's Easter!"; “Let's hug each other. Let us say: brothers, and to those who hate us (Isa. 66:5), especially to those who have done or suffered something out of love. Let us surrender everything to the Resurrection; Let us forgive each other...” (St. Gregory the Theologian).

What do the words of the Easter exapostilary “Easter of incorruption”, “He raised Adam from aphids” and the Easter canon “Clothe the mortal passion with incorruptibility with splendor” (irmos 7 cantos) mean? What kind of corruption and incorruption are we talking about?

“Easter of incorruption” is the transition from corruption to incorruption, from death to life, from decomposition to deification. The Lord, having resurrected our human nature within Himself, granted it incorruption, rebirth, and renewal. “Adam was raised up from aphids” - in the risen Savior, Adam is reborn from a deadly aphid. Adam, who through the Fall acquired the process of decay in body and soul, is healed by the resurrection of Christ, restored to a renewed state, corruption is defeated by Christ, and the diseases of corruption are crushed and destroyed along with death. Easter incorruptibility inspires hope and opens the opportunity for believers to achieve deification and enter the Kingdom of Heaven, once closed by sin and corruption.

“Clothe the mortal passion in incorruption with splendor” (irmos 7 cantos) - having assumed human nature during the incarnation, the Lord, through his suffering for humanity, abolishes corruption and death, clothing mortal man in the splendor of immortality.

CHRIST IS RISEN!

Parish Sunday School Materials for Adults

The entire festive Liturgy consists of special Easter chants - hymns to the Risen Christ. The service is accompanied by almost continuous singing, which personifies the unceasing joy of the believers. Easter hymns are particularly majestic and solemn, since they glorify the main event of the entire Christian world - the victory of Christ over death. They are often sung by parishioners together with the choir, and not only during the night service, but also during the Easter holidays.

Thy Resurrection, O Christ the Savior, / Angels sing in heaven, / and grant us on earth / with a pure heart / to glorify you.

Troparion of Easter

Christ is risen from the dead, / trampling down death by death, / and giving life to those in the tombs.

Even though you descended into the grave, O Immortal One, / but you destroyed the power of hell, / and you rose again as the Victor, Christ God, / telling the myrrh-bearing women: Rejoice! / and grant peace to your apostles, / grant Resurrection to the fallen.

Easter / sacred has appeared to us today; / Easter is new holy; / Easter is mysterious; / All-honorable Easter. / Easter Christ the Deliverer; / Easter is immaculate; / Great Easter; / Easter of the faithful. / Easter opens the doors of heaven to us. / Easter sanctifying all the faithful.

The angel cried out with more grace: / pure Virgin, rejoice! / And again the river: Rejoice! / Your Son is risen / three days from the grave / and raised the dead, / people, rejoice.

Having seen the Resurrection of Christ, / let us worship the Holy Lord Jesus, / the only sinless one, / we worship Your Cross, O Christ, / and we sing and glorify Your holy Resurrection: / For You are our God, / We know no other to You, / We call Your name. / Come, all faithful, / let us worship the Holy Resurrection of Christ: / behold, joy has come through the Cross to the whole world. / Always blessing the Lord, / we sing His Resurrection: / having endured crucifixion, / destroy death through death.

The wave of the sea / hid the persecutor of old, / the tormentor, under the earth hid / the saved youths; / but we, like maidens, / drink to the Lord, / for we are gloriously glorified.

Stichera, tone 6.

Your Resurrection, O Christ the Savior, the Angels sing in heaven, and grant us on earth to glorify You with a pure heart.

Troparion, tone 5.

Christ rose from the dead, trampling down death by death, and giving life to those in the tombs.

Ipakoi, voice 4.

Having anticipated the morning of Mary and having found the stone rolled away from the tomb, I hear from the Angel: In the ever-drying light of the One who is with the dead, what are you looking for, like a man? You see the graveclothes: preach to the world that the Lord has arisen, the one who slays death, as he is the Son of God, saving the human race.

Kontakion, tone 8.

Even though you descended into the grave, Immortal, you destroyed the power of hell, and you rose again as the Victor, Christ God, saying to the myrrh-bearing women: Rejoice! and grant peace to Your apostles, grant Resurrection to those who have fallen.

Zadostoynik, voice 1.

The angel cried out with grace: Pure Virgin, rejoice, and again the river: Rejoice! Your Son is risen three days from the grave and raised up the dead: people rejoice.

Shine, shine, New Jerusalem, for the glory of the Lord is upon You. Rejoice now and be glad, O Zion. You, Pure One, show off, O Mother of God, about the rise of Your Nativity.

Stichera.

Verse: Let God rise again, and let his enemies be scattered.

Holy Easter has appeared to us today. Easter is new, holy, Easter is mysterious, Easter is all-honorable, Easter is Christ the deliverer. Immaculate Easter, Great Easter, Easter of the faithful, Easter opening the doors of heaven to us. Easter sanctifying all the faithful.

Verse: As smoke disappears, let them disappear.

Come from the vision of the wife of the gospel, and cry to Zion: receive from us the joy of the annunciation of the Resurrection of Christ. Show off, rejoice and rejoice, O Jerusalem, seeing the King Christ from the tomb, like a bridegroom.

Verse: So let sinners perish from the presence of God, and let righteous women rejoice.

The myrrh-bearing woman, in the deep morning, presented herself to the tomb of the Giver of Life, found an Angel sitting on a stone, and having preached to them, she said to her: Why are you looking for the Living One with the dead, why are you crying for the Imperishable One in the ashes, as you go preach as His disciple.

Verse: This day which the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Red Easter, Easter, Lord's Easter! Easter is an honorable blessing for us! Easter! Let's fill each other with joy! Oh Easter! Deliverance of sorrow, for from the grave today, as Christ has risen from the palace, fill the women with joy, saying: preach as an apostle.

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Resurrection day, and we will be enlightened by triumph, and we will embrace each other, shouting: brothers! And we will forgive all those who hate us through the Resurrection, and thus we will cry out: Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death and giving life to those in the tombs.
