Agree that in a work mess there is absolutely no room for a lot of pieces of paper with notes that might come in handy someday. You always put them in one place, but they end up scattered all over the table. This was the case for me, until I decided to make a stand for papers using the cardboard technique and a master class at the same time. The stand, of course, also serves to store clean paper. It's amazing what useful things you can create with cardboard, fabric and glue. The manufacturing technique is simple, you just need to be patient and careful.

To create a stand you need to prepare:
cardboard - 2 mm thickness; fabric, preferably 100% cotton; PVA glue; whatman; glue "Moment Crystal/Universal"; stationery knife; scissors; glue brush; masking tape; pencil; ruler.

Cut out the cardboard blanks to the required size using a stationery knife.

First, let's assemble three sides measuring 9x9 cm (two walls and the bottom of the stand), applying glue to the edges of the bottom. To ensure that the wall is at a right angle, you can adjust it by supporting it with a corner.

Glue the back wall of the stand.

We take any round object and trace it on the blanks for the small front walls so that we get a beveled corner.

Glue the small parts by applying glue to the edges of the walls and bottom.

This is what the glued corners of the stand should look like.

Masking tape is needed to secure the entire structure. We seal all the joints inside and outside the stand with it. Using a stack, smooth out the tape so that there are no wrinkles.

We iron a piece of fabric measuring 39x13 cm. We will glue the fabric to the walls of the stand, as if wrapping it around it. Apply a very thin layer of glue to the first wall. If you apply too much, the glue may penetrate the fabric and leave marks, or the cardboard may become deformed.

We glue this wall to the fabric. We make sure that the wall lies exactly in the center and there are indentations.

We glue all three walls, carefully adding small ones. We smooth the surface with a stack so that there are no blisters on the fabric.

We cut the corners at an acute angle at the bottom of the stand. We seal the indents. First you need to make cuts on the fabric in the places where the small walls end. We do not cut off the excess fabric; we will use it to seal the inside of the walls.

In the same way, we cut and glue the corners of the upper part of the stand of the rear and side walls.

Now let's prepare the fabric in the front part to beautifully cover the small walls.

At the bottom, we evenly cut off the excess fabric to the level of the upper part of the bottom.

We make cuts accordingly.

First, glue the top corner, braiding it around the perimeter of the rounded part. If excess folds appear, you can make small cuts by gluing them on top of each other. Let's bend and glue a piece of fabric that remains superfluous, but just serves the purpose so that the edges of the fabric are not visible. We carefully glue the last part, forming a flat surface and corners with a stack.

We cut out a square from whatman paper that fits the size of the bottom and a fabric with allowances for it.

We glue whatman paper onto the ironed fabric. We cut the corners at an acute angle.

We leave the piece unsealed and glue it to the top of the bottom.

Glue the bottom, folding the loose fabric up.

Creating a brochure with your own hands is not easy, you will have to work hard. And if you do not want to entrust this work to a printing house, but want to make it yourself, then we offer you a small instruction.

What you need to create a brochure

From available materials, you will need paper of the desired size (usually A5 paper is used), a ruler, a knife for cutting paper, a stapler and an eraser. Equipment includes a computer and a printer on which you will print sheets.

Stages of creating a brochure with your own hands

  • Prepare the material in electronic form, make the layout of the future brochure in a special program (Word / Word, Adobe InDesign)

  • Use a printer to print the required sheets on both sides (some printers have a duplex function).
  • Fold the sheets of paper in half, place an eraser under the fold, then staple the sheets on top on both sides - top and bottom. Then turn the sheets over and bend the staples.

  • Trim any excess edges using a paper cutter to fit a ruler. That's it, your brochure is ready!

Of course, for a large circulation this method will be unprofitable and very labor-intensive; it is better to contact a printing house where brochures will be printed for you using professional equipment. But if you need to make only 1-2 copies, then this method is perfect.

Using plexiglass table stands

There are several standard types of desktop stands that are most in demand in office activities:

  1. Desktop business card stand- a useful and compact office accessory that allows you to place business cards in plain view of the visitor. A tabletop stand for business cards optimizes the work of an office employee, employee of an institution or organization, allowing him not to be distracted by handing out a business card to each visitor. If necessary, business cards of other employees or departments can be placed on the stand - where the visitor is most often redirected or about which information is most often requested (for example, with the phrase “Where can I find a phone number...”).
  2. Table stand for papers- a convenient, functional accessory that allows you to clean up your desk. Most office workers and officials always have a lot of papers accumulated. To prevent “clutter” of documents from appearing on the tables, to make the workspace look aesthetically pleasing, and to ensure that any necessary paper is immediately available, use table stands. These accessories are also suitable for home use, because many people have a desk at home that tends to get buried in papers.
  3. Bookend- an accessory that is used by office workers, schoolchildren, and students. There are so-called reference books that should always be at hand. For example, reference books. It is impractical to put them on the shelf, but on the table they contribute to creative chaos. The solution to the issue can be simple: purchase book stands for the entire office or for personal use. And the reference books will be more convenient to use, and the room will take on an aesthetic appearance.
  4. Table stand for advertising materials- POS material that allows you to unobtrusively offer information and advertising printing to the visitor. Advertising stands, in turn, can be divided into several subtypes, the main of which are:
  • Table stand for booklets- accessory for placing booklets. A visitor, for example, during a conversation with a company manager, can take an advertising booklet with information about other products of the same company or its partners.
  • Table stand for leaflets- an accessory for distributing leaflets among visitors. Performs the same functions as a stand for booklets.

You can make other versions of table stands - for your individual tasks.

Advantages of plexiglass as a material for creating tabletop stands

Organic glass is one of the most common materials for making tabletop stands. The weight of the plexiglass stand is light, but the strength is good. If the plexiglass stand accidentally falls on the floor, it will not break.

And one more important factor influencing the buyer’s choice: Plexiglas products look modern, do not clutter up the table, and fit perfectly into the office interior.

The introduction and presentation of a company, the design of its business space can be implemented in the most unexpected and effective way. The range of possibilities offered by the manufacturer is huge: from stationary floor and wall structures to easily transportable, quickly mounted/dismantled original products. Booklets, racks, structural elements can be designed for various formats (A3, A4, A5, A6, euro, business card, postcard). Can be made from various materials.

Manufacturers and options (floor-standing, wall-mounted, wall-mounted, height-mounted and other designs) are widely represented on the market and on the Internet. Products are offered at reasonable prices, various options for ordering, payment, and delivery are possible.

Offer and cost of booklets

In particular, the PromoProsto plant (Ekateriburg) offers promotional stands, structures in the form of sails, stellas, stars, and various thematic figures costing from 500 to 7,000 rubles. Daily rent is possible from 400 to 1000 rubles.

Creative workshop "ViArt" (St. Petersburg) offers its own original and imported products costing from 15,000 to 22,000 rubles. At the same time, he focuses on developing the design of not only the design of the booklet, but also the entire exhibition complex.

The VRT company (Moscow) focuses on personalization and modification of products, offers various accessories, and has its own high-tech production. The company's price category is 5,000-20,000 rubles.

A wide range of diverse options can be found at the RusInnovation company.

In general, the companies' offers also allow you to satisfy the budget option. Payment for products is possible not only in the usual way, but also through electronic money (WebMoney, Yandex.Money, bank cards, terminals).

Printed products for the most part do not have a style, color scheme, logo or other symbols of the manufacturer, but, for example, a floor-standing booklet made in a certain way may have these symbols.

About the strategy of applying efforts

Choosing a stand for booklets is also actually choosing the form of the proposal. It is not particularly possible to expect success from a small number of visitors, although if you have an original strategy, you can get a more tangible effect from a small audience than from a large one.

Stands for printed products represent the company at exhibitions, advertising events, and presentations. It makes sense to consider the choice of design options taking into account the theme of the printed product being presented.

Designs for printed products

Information desks are intended not only for leaflets with useful information and price tags; they can also contain books, catalogues, and thematic products. Using various design solutions, you can present printed products according to directions.

Monumental structures can shape lasting success. Serious compositions appeal to the subconscious and attract attention.

Stands and booklets made in an unusual way (or in a familiar way, but using light or mechanical effects) additionally attract the attention of visitors.

Construction materials and company symbols

Wood has been and will remain for a long time the most natural, native and warm material for any presentation, not just printed materials. The floor brochure holder, made of wood, gives a stylish presentation, but is bulky. The pressure of time and the dynamics of life are such that it is necessary to use structures made of metals, metal-plastic, glass, various

An interesting idea is to use images, especially 3D ones. The idea is certainly expensive, but imagine how attractive a stand for booklets will look, which, when touched by a visitor, will effectively flip through the booklet!

The logo, color style, souvenirs and other symbols of the manufacturer are the background that surrounds stands, booklets and other structures; it is important to attach importance to it in any advertising campaign.

Symbols and souvenirs

Business is a world of symbols, and a floor-standing booklet is also a symbol. Each company has its own identity and develops and improves it in every possible way. Each company's logos and colors are always special.

Selling a product is not a matter of minutes; it is important to create a stable increase in demand. Having not purchased today when it was available, the buyer will return, having spent his own time satisfying the desire that once arose, which will undoubtedly give him a reason to convey information about this to his family, friends and work colleagues. A good souvenir from a company that produces printed materials would be a keychain, calendar, diary, or pen.

Contents of structures: quantity and quality

The company exhibits its products. As a rule, it represents various fields and can be artistic, scientific, applied, industrial and other in nature. The assortment of printed publications, booklets, information sheets can be divided thematically (for example, information stands by topic), that is, you can easily determine the number of structures, shelves, racks and other elements needed to design an advertising campaign.

An important point in achieving success is the content and relevance of the materials presented, but presentation tools are also important - designs, their shapes and colors. Print racks painted in company colors provide a noticeable effect.

The question is not the content, but the result

The result of an exhibition, an advertising campaign, or a manager’s visit to the public with a portable roll-up matters. What the company brought to the exhibition, why it held an advertising campaign and what it sent its manager with is undoubtedly important, but the result is more important.

The classic result is the number of sales. The desired result is to produce an effect and lie on the subconscious of as many visitors as possible. The latter is an objective data for strengthening the stable growth of the company. Selling products quickly is important, but it is much more important to sell them stably and for a long time and at the same time develop their production.

The master class is designed for students in grades 4-6, with the aim of using waste material.

Purpose of the master class: teach students how to make a magazine stand, provide information about the step-by-step sequence of making the product; develop robotic skills with cardboard, napkins, glue, varnish; develop thinking, attention, creative imagination, memory; to cultivate children’s aesthetic taste and interest in design.

When we shop, we have no idea how useful cardboard packaging boxes can be in everyday life. Corrugated cardboard, in addition to its strength, is an environmentally friendly material, which allows it to be used in decoration. One of such decors can be a cardboard stand for folders. It is economical, easy to create, and its functionality depends on your creativity. Thus, we invite you to try yourself in creating an interesting and unusual piece of furniture, like a cardboard stand for folders.

We will need:

Carton boxes,

Scissors,

Pencil,

PVA glue,

White napkins, napkin with motif,

Brush, wide brush (painting brush),

A bowl for diluting glue with water,

White acrylic paint (or white gouache diluted with PVA glue in equal proportions),

Foam rubber (piece of sponge),

Colored acrylic paints or gouache,

Interior acrylic varnish (glossy).

Progress

1. Take a cardboard box and mark the cut location on one side with a pencil. Let's cut it off. For symmetry, place the cut out part on the other side, mark it with a pencil and also cut it off.

2. If the cardboard box is thin, for strength we glue cardboard or a cardboard box selected according to size from the middle. If desired, you can make compartments using the lid of a shoe box, gluing it around the edges. The cardboard can be cut, unfolded, and selected according to the size of the box. Design, fantasize!

3. We tear the napkins into strips with our hands. We start gluing the box from the top, and then the sides. With your left hand we fold the strip into pleats (drape it), and with a brush, holding it in your right hand, glue the strip along the edges with PVA glue and water (diluted equally). We glue the strip partly to save volume

4. A draped box comes out.

5. Paint the box with a wide brush. To easily paint the sides from the bottom of the box, place it on a board or some smaller object. We wait until the paint dries (approximately 10 hours)

6. Choose a napkin. We cut out the motif with nail scissors and separate the top layer of the napkin. We won't need the other two layers without a pattern for our work.

7. Using PVA glue, glue the motif from the napkin.

8. Using a sponge and a small amount of yellow acrylic paint diluted equally with water, lightly apply the background. We are waiting for it to dry.

9. Slightly blur the background using a sponge and black acrylic paint (or red, as in another version of the stand), diluted equally with water.

10. Using green (for the stem, leaves of the flower) and red (for petals) acrylic paints, paint on small elements.

11. Using a wide brush, coat the stand with acrylic varnish and let dry. After drying (the varnish does not stick when touched with your fingers), the stand can be used for its intended purpose.

12. These are the stands you get.

13. If you use napkins, stencils and acrylic putty you will get exclusive coasters
