Repair is an important stage for which it is worth thoroughly preparing. Together with us, we will tell you what you definitely need to ask the construction team you hired in order to be calm about the result.

How many objects have already been completed by the brigade?

The success of your repair largely depends on the professionalism of the repair team. But no matter how experienced the craftsmen involved in the repair of your living space are, it does not hurt to find out what guarantees they provide after the work is completed.

In some cases, the qualifications of workers are of great importance: ask if there are highly specialized specialists in the team or all generalists. Are there plumbers, electricians, tilers on the team?

How long will it take to repair?

Needless to say, the answer to it is important: sometimes there are situations when the repair team promises the customer terms that are technologically impossible to meet.

How will the work be paid?

It is desirable to clarify this question in detail. It is best to pay for repairs in stages.

Sometimes, due to unforeseen cases, the repair budget for work and materials may increase, so before starting work, you should find out if it is possible to fix the cost of repairs per square meter.

Is it possible to see the brigade in action?

When choosing a repair team, it is important to see the result of their work live - preferably at the final stage. Only in this way you can objectively assess whether these specialists and the quality of their services are right for you.

Plus, it is always clear from the process how careful the builders are during the work, whether they smoke at the facility, whether they are careful with electrical appliances.

What draft materials are required?

Also, who will buy them? If the brigade is engaged in their purchase, find out how the reporting on the purchased materials will be organized.

1. What types of repairs can be made in a living room, private house or office space?

Household repair. Such minor repairs are needed almost every day in any room where there are people. They do not have a global scale, but they are annoying and generally interfere with life. You can fasten the cabinet door, hang a shelf or a mirror on your own, or by calling friends and acquaintances for help. As an option - to invite specialists from small firms offering similar services. If it comes to communications - electrical outlets or water taps - it is better to turn to the help of specialists from the relevant services.

: The official definition of this type of repair work is to change the appearance of the premises without making changes to its design. Cosmetic repairs are carried out without replacement and with the replacement of existing finishing materials. In the first case, decorative coatings (wallpaper, paintwork, whitewashing) are replaced, floors and wooden parts of windows and doors are painted, while rough coatings (plaster, putty) remain the same. In the second case, the old coatings are replaced with new ones (for example, painted walls are pasted over with wallpaper, puttying is done, etc.). It is this type of repair that is most often produced in residential and office premises.

: This type of repair work involves the complete replacement of finishing materials, communications, windows and doors, as well as changes in the design of the premises, i.e. redevelopment. Taking into account the periodic updating of such repairs and the elimination of emerging minor “problems”, the overhaul will serve you for 15-20 years.repair is significantly higher than cosmetic, due to the scale of the reconstructions and the complexity of the work. This applies to both municipal housing and privatized apartments and offices.

: This term usually refers to a high-quality overhaul of an apartment and a cottage using modern materials and technologies, with the development of a design project - after it your house will look like a photo from an interior magazine. What are these technologies and materials? Underfloor heating systems, floor coverings made of parquet or solid board, high-wear laminate, high-tech materials for the installation of communications (PVC and PE pipes, water filters, leakage control systems, pressure sensors, etc.), climatic and ventilation equipment, modern heating systems, "smart home", decorative wall coverings, etc.

Repair of premises without finishing: In new houses, the owners usually acquire just such apartments, in which, apart from the walls, ceiling and floor, there is nothing. Professionals are very fond of doing repairs in such a room - there is no need to dismantle old materials, nothing prevents them from doing all the work in the right order, according to the requirements of technology. Such repairs include all types of planning and finishing works.

2. The apartment needs renovation, but funds are limited. It is advised to hire visitors or private traders - they ask for less work. Is it worth contacting them?

Lower prices are often the only advantage of private teams or specialists over large firms. And even then, the declared cost of the repair will not always correspond to the final one - without an official documentary agreement, where all the final figures are written, it will be difficult to regulate relations with the invited team regarding certain issues that may arise in the course of work. Often, a lower price for services is due to the fact that private traders do not pay taxes and use cheaper materials.

As for the responsibility for the final result, here it is much easier to “ask”, in which case, from the official repair and construction company. She gives a guarantee for the work performed, and if a marriage is detected, after the final payment, she is obliged to correct the imperfections at her own expense. Where to look for a private construction team after the end of your repair - only God knows.

3. Why is it more reliable and profitable to cooperate with a large specialized organization?

A company that values its reputation concludes with the customer. This gives you a guarantee that the entire range of works will be completed within the agreed scope and on time. In case of non-fulfillment of the terms of the contract, the company compensates for the damage, as well as in case of damage to the property of the customer. When cooperating with a private trader, you will have to forget about such conditions.

A large construction and repair company, as a rule, cooperates with sellers of building materials, so it can purchase everything you need at better prices - this will significantly reduce the final cost of your repair.

4. The process of coordinating the redevelopment of residential and office premises.

According to the Housing Code, all alterations are coordinated with local governments - these are municipalities, housing inspectorates, etc. Here is a comprehensive list of required documents:

Application for redevelopment according to the established model;
originals or notarized copies of documents confirming the ownership of the premises;
redevelopment project;
registration certificate of the premises;
if the apartment is in social rent, the written consent of all family members (including those temporarily absent) is required;
for residents of houses of historical or architectural value, the consent of the body involved in the protection of historical and cultural monuments is required.

The decision on consent to redevelopment is issued within 45+3 business days from the date of application. In case of a positive verdict, work can begin. After their completion, you are obliged to invite a commission from the same body, which must check the compliance of the work performed with the declared plan and issue an appropriate acceptance certificate. After that, the same commission sends it to an organization dealing with real estate accounting (BTI, etc.).

Coordination of office redevelopment, as a rule, requires less time and money investments, since the requirements for this category of premises in terms of fire safety, ventilation, sanitation, etc. lower than residential.()

5. How does every correct repair end?

Cleaning the premises from construction debris and dust is a mandatory component of repair work, otherwise the entire repair may go down the drain. It is easier to assign this responsibility to the same company with which you have a contract for repairs, including one more clause in it.

If you make repairs yourself, or there is a need to save money, you will have to do the cleaning yourself. Here are some tips:

It is better to take out construction debris every day, but little by little - so you can simply throw it into the trash cans, and your “construction site” will always be in order. If you accumulate too much garbage in the apartment, you will have to order a container and movers. The same applies to bulky waste, for example, an old bath - it cannot be thrown into household trash cans;
remove dust more often: it is always present at the construction site, and it is very difficult to remove it, because it penetrates into all the smallest cracks. The more responsible you are to this work, the cleaner your new interior will be;
when moving and installing furniture after repair, be careful with doorways and arches: it is better to bring the furniture in disassembled form, if this is not possible, try to protect the edges of the openings from bumps and scratches, for example, stick thick cardboard pads on them.

6. How to ennoble a summer cottage left over from a grandmother?

Use landscape design techniques. This is the art of landscaping and landscaping gardens, parks, land using green spaces, small architectural forms and decoration techniques.

7. What is the difference between the repair of an apartment and a country house?

The fundamental difference is that the country house is not heated all the time, so repairs should be carried out only in the warm season. In this case, you will have to take into account several points:

It is necessary to choose materials for repairing a temporarily used house after consulting with specialists. In such buildings, there may be increased humidity, which leads to additional problems.
If the house is located far outside the city, you should provide a place for your own stay during the repair. If the repair will be done by hired workers, they also need to be provided with housing, food and sanitary and hygienic conditions.
When making an estimate for future repairs, it should be borne in mind that the cost of delivering building materials outside the city is significantly higher than within it.
When making a major overhaul of a house, a communications and electrical wiring project drawn up by professional engineers is a must. ()

8. How to get quality assurance for your repair?

To do this, the contractor's warranty obligations must be documented in the contract for the provision of repair and construction services. The main types of warranties are warranties for repair equipment and materials. This means that they will be subject to free warranty service by the contractor, but only within the time specified by the manufacturer, and only if all the necessary documents from the seller are available.

For example, if you purchased heating equipment on the market, and there is no warranty card and receipt for the purchase, such a product cannot be subject to warranty service by the contractor. Moreover, it may even refuse to install such equipment.Warranty periods for equipment are usually 1-3 years.To obtain documentary evidence of warranty service, you need a repair agreement and certificates of inspection of hidden work and work performed, which are drawn up after the repair is completed.

9. Design project of repair - is it necessary?

Of course not, but it is better when it is. A design specialist has professional knowledge in the field of interior design, color harmonies, style matching. Therefore, his consultation (at least) will help to make the atmosphere in the house or office cozy and comfortable for everyone. To do this, he takes into account the lifestyle and habits of the owners, the needs of all family members, style and color preferences, etc.

10. Who can be entrusted with the development of a design project?

First of all, it is necessary to conclude an agreement with the chosen design specialist for the preparation of a design project for the premises, which is also accompanied by the "Task for the development of the interior" and "Calculation of the cost of work."

There are several ways to find a specialist. You can use the recommendations of friends, or look for a designer through the Internet. This is especially convenient, because the sites usually host a portfolio with photos of projects. Another possibility is that the designer may be on the staff of the construction company with which you conclude a contract for the provision of repair services.

11. How to protect things during repair?

If there are several rooms in the apartment, it is better to transfer all things to one of them, and after the repair is completed in one room, put all the furniture and household items already there. If this is not possible, it is advisable to pack everything in tightly closed boxes, bedside tables, cabinets.

You can arrange with neighbors or relatives to “shelter” their things at home, for especially valuable items, you can use a bank safe.

It is possible to leave things for storage in a special warehouse or in a moving company that provides services for the transportation and storage of things. The staff can also help with the assembly and installation of furniture.

12. How to choose your own materials for the repair of residential and office premises?

The way out, of course, will be a design project drawn up by a professional designer - there will be an estimate and all types of materials that will be needed for repairs. If you do not have such a document, you should seek advice from the specialists of the repair and construction company that will carry out your repair.

Materials should be selected, taking into account the front of the upcoming work and based on the available budget.

13. Where is it more reliable to buy building and finishing materials.

For the purchase of the simplest goods, such as nails, lumber, bricks, you can turn to the construction market.In order to buy a lot of various finishing materials at once in one place, it is worth visiting a construction supermarket - here you can order the loading and delivery of purchases. This is a good way to purchase quality building materials at affordable prices;

It is most profitable and reliable to purchase materials for repairs from a construction company with which you have entered into a contract for the repair. This eliminates problems with loading and delivery, while the absence of marriage is guaranteed, and the cost of materials can be much lower due to agreements with wholesale suppliers.

14. How to make an estimate for future repairs?

Make a list of planned materials, calculate how much each of them will go to repair work. To do this, calculate the area of floors, walls, ceilings in all rooms. Then find out the average prices for these materials - for this you can use the Internet or call the outlets where you plan to purchase goods for repair. Now you can calculate how much each of the materials will cost - you need to do this with a margin, because. consumption is always slightly more than planned. If the company will be engaged in the repair, this work can be entrusted to the estimator, and the contractor can purchase materials.

15. Is it possible to do repairs in winter?

It is possible, but some types of work in winter are not recommended. For example, exterior decoration, roof repair, facade work. Otherwise, you just need to keep in mind the specifics of some materials and works, primarily painting and plastering.

A feature of the repair in the winter is the need to maintain a constant comfortable (for building materials) temperature in the room. For example, it is recommended to plaster with gypsum mixtures at a temperature not lower than +5 degrees and humidity not more than 50% - these conditions must be observed. Therefore, it is advisable to keep the windows closed and avoid drafts.

It should also be borne in mind that some materials can change their technical properties and dimensions when strongly cooled - therefore, before using them, you need to keep them at room temperature.
For work in winter, you should use materials designed for this - they have a special mode of use.

Why, then, do people do repairs in the winter? Because during this period, finishing materials and services are cheaper.

16. How to combine renovation and living in an apartment?

If there are several rooms in the apartment, it is worth repairing them one by one, and living in free ones. But it is more convenient to rent an apartment (dacha, move to relatives). An important note: you can’t go on vacation for the duration of the repair - if there is no one to control the process and solve emerging problems promptly.

17. What time of day is repair work in apartment buildings allowed?

Each region of Russia independently regulates the time when it is possible to carry out noisy work in residential buildings or office premises located in them. For example, according to Moscow laws, it is forbidden to make noise on weekends and holidays before 9 am and after 7 pm. Quiet types of work - painting, wallpapering - can be done at a later time of the day.

18. How to get along with the "unfriendly" neighbor during the renovation? Can he put obstacles in our work?

Living in an apartment building, you have to take into account that people around you also live with their own problems and concerns. Some have small children, others have a sick grandmother, the third works on a busy schedule. It is better to try to improve relations with them than to engage in confrontation, otherwise you can reach the communal "war"!

Therefore, try to treat your neighbors like human beings. Warn everyone living in neighboring apartments that you are going to make repairs, that temporary shutdowns of water supply, etc. are possible. It is worthwhile in advance, before the start of the repair, to find out at the housing maintenance site if there were any complaints from neighbors about cracks in the walls and ceiling - this way you will avoid accusations of destroying the common house later. Be diplomatic, act strictly within the law and decency, and then you will not have problems with your neighbors.

19. How to accept the work of builders after the completion of the repair?

If you do not have the relevant knowledge, hire an independent appraiser or invite a specialist from the Housing Office. For a small fee, they will help you understand the assessment of the results of repair work, find hidden defects that may hide from your attention. If any are found, do not pay for the work until it is completely eliminated.

20. How to make apartment or office renovation less expensive?

Be careful when choosing a contractor - it is better to trust serious organizations that have been operating in this market for many years. Contacting unverified private traders or guest workers is more expensive for yourself! Do not consider it shameful to bargain - you can bring down the price by 5-10% - in the overall picture of the overhaul, this will turn out to be a significant amount.

If you enter into a contract with a large construction company that cooperates with wholesale suppliers of materials, you have a real chance of significant discounts - you can save up to 30%!

Performing work in the "off season", you can safely demand discounts from the contracting company.

To reduce costs, you can do non-professional work yourself, for example, cleaning and garbage disposal, dismantling doors, removing wallpaper, etc.

21. How to complete the repair faster?

To speed up the progress of work, you can, for example, make the work of workers easier - take out all the furniture in advance, and move to a rented apartment yourself. So they can do the same work in the whole apartment at once.

To protect yourself from the negligence of the contractor, discuss in the contract penalties for delaying the process of repair work in the house or office.

22. How can you insure home, office or apartment repairs, against what threats?

Repair insurance includes three different services.

Repair process insurance consists in insurance of materials, works and equipment that are available in the apartment at the time of the insured event. The amount of compensation is determined based on the need to return the object to its original state, before the occurrence of an insured event.
Repair damage insurance covers damage that was caused to your non-renovation property during the repair process. For example, during the authorized demolition of the partition, the ceiling collapsed.
Third party liability insurance, i.e., neighbors, protects you and them in case of leaks and other emergencies during your repair, as a result of which the property of third parties is damaged.

It can be even more difficult than remodeling a large private house. Changing the design of the walls requires professional knowledge, even if it is a simple combination of a balcony and a kitchen or a balcony and a living room. Most likely, you can save both time and money if you prepare a redevelopment project in advance with a professional designer or using a special program (there are such online services today).

2. What familiar things are important to you? What do you need to do in the new apartment so that they stay?

Often a person gets used to waking up in a room that is lit by the sun in the morning, having breakfast, watching the dawn, or going out to breathe on an open balcony. Such little things are important, often the absence of familiar and pleasant things does not make you feel at home, so we recommend asking yourself about this before starting repairs and redevelopment, in particular, take into account the location of windows.

3. How many separate rooms does your family need?

Today, when people have become accustomed to spaciousness and free spaces, it is worth considering thoroughly how many separate rooms your family needs and whether you can combine, for example, a kitchen with a living room, creating a spacious room for receiving guests and family gatherings.

If it is possible to organize a pantry or, it is better to do this, since the problem of storing things is always relevant in the family and cluttering up the space with tall cabinets is not always a good solution.

You should not try to do all this in a 50 m 2 apartment, you should objectively consider the possibilities and then make a decision.

4. What delays are you willing to accept?

Often delayed. This is unpleasant, but almost inevitable, since many circumstances often arise in the process, ranging from human factors to a banal lack of budget.

To roughly understand how long the repair will take, use a simple formula:

T = 10 + S (if the apartment is up to 35 sqm)

T = 10 + 0.9S (if the apartment is more than 35 sq.m),

where T is time, 10 is days, and S is area.

Of course, the calculation is conditional, since not only the area of the apartment affects the duration of the alteration, but also the layout, the initial state of the apartment, the number of toilets, windows, doors, and much more. But approximately you can determine the time costs.

5. How do you plan to live in 5 years?

No, this is not a philosophical question, but quite a practical one. Repair is an investment in the future. Of course, we cannot know for sure what will happen to us even in a year, but if a young family is planning a child or an adult married couple is going to invite elderly parents to live, additional space and furniture will be required. You need to think over these nuances now, since repairs are not done for a short time.

6. How much will you interfere with the neighbors?

And again, not an idle question. It's not even about politeness, although it is also about it. There is such a thing as a noisy work schedule, and non-compliance with it can lead you to the district police officer's office. Why are there problems?

Similar schedules differ for different cities. In Moscow, work is allowed from 9 am to 7 pm from Monday to Saturday, in the Moscow region - from 8 am to 9 pm from Monday to Friday and from 10 am to 10 pm on weekends. By the way, prohibitions may not apply to new buildings for 1.5 years from the date the house was put into operation. It is better to study this issue in your city, for example, by calling the management company.

7. Is everything ready for launch?

The well-known saying about "measure seven times - cut once" is very relevant in the repair business. After the start, any adjustments lengthen the process. Of course, you will not avoid this, but try to keep it to a minimum by mini-rechecking before starting work.

Questions to ask the construction team

1. How many objects have the construction team already completed?

It is no secret that success depends on the experience and professionalism of repairmen, as well as on what guarantees they provide. No less important is the qualification of the team, whether there are specialists of different profiles among them: tilers, plumbers, electricians.

2. How will the work be paid?

Find out in detail this question. It is beneficial for the customer to pay for repairs in stages or split the payment: 60-65% of the amount before repairs and 40-35% after acceptance of work. Not graduation, namely acceptance, since after full payment, the team is unlikely to redo anything.

The budget may increase, it happens and you need to be prepared for this, but it is worth fixing the cost of work per square meter, then it will be more difficult to deceive you.

3. Who will purchase the rough materials for the repair?

If the brigade will be engaged in the purchase (and more often it happens, because they have more experience in choosing finishes or), determine how they will report to you.

4. Who is responsible for the safety of the finished materials?

It is important to clarify this point, since cases of damage or theft, alas, are not uncommon. Find out who will count the amount of finishing materials and how they should be bought in case of a shortage.

5. Is it possible to see another team project at the final stage of repair?

Nothing says better about the team and the quality of its work than real results. Ask if you can see the result of their actions live, so you can objectively assess the abilities of the masters.

6. Will the workers live in the apartment?

Whether they will need to live in an apartment that is being renovated, and how this will affect the term of work, is important for you and your neighbors, because you cannot control every action of the builders. However, often the team that lives in the repaired premises does the job faster.

Design: RES4

Overview information:

The order of repair in the apartment

Repair of an apartment is generally divided into two stages: documentary (“paper”) and production (working). In no case should one neglect the development of the necessary documents and their proper execution: unsystematic work leads to errors, each of which means a rework at least twice the price. Double - because you have to break what has already been done and completely redo it. At a minimum, because in this case, penalties from regulatory authorities and compensation for damage to neighbors are possible.

Documentary cycle

The documentary justification for the repair consists of the following steps:

 1. Measurement.
 2. Prototyping.
 3. Design.
 4. Drawing up a budget.
 5. Obtaining permits for the types of work that require them.

Measurement

The dimensions of the rooms, the height of the ceilings, window and door openings and their location relative to the walls, the thickness of the partitions are measured. In the process of measuring, we find out what the partitions are made of (to do this, you need to remove part of the plaster or cladding) and the presence of voids between the slabs of the main walls and ceilings. They are found with a pointed steel probe or just a screwdriver. Also measured are furniture remaining after repair or newly acquired, oversized items, for example. a vacuum cleaner, a barbell, a bicycle, and pretending to be the amount of long-term storage - homemade items, tools, clothing for travel, etc.

Layout

Then you need to draw a plan of the apartment on a scale, cut out applications of moved objects from cardboard on the same scale and work out options for arranging them in terms of ergonomics and design. This is layout. His goals:

 • Create convenience.
 • Determine the need and scope.
 • Find out what you can do yourself, and what is better to entrust the pros.

Redevelopment must be minimized: any work related to it requires formal permission, and these are untargeted costs and unnecessary trouble. Redevelopment works include the following:

 1. or loggias with and.
 2. Transfer and / or expansion of door and window openings, - walls, ceilings.
 3. , regardless of whether the opening of the balcony block remains the same or not.
 4. The device of partitions giving a concentrated load - made of glass blocks, etc. heavy materials.
 5. Alteration of ventilation ducts, air supply systems or.
 6. The device of chimneys (gas ducts).
 7. Merging or division of premises, incl. bathroom.

In addition, permission will be needed for re-laying electrical wiring, and altering the descent from the gas riser to gas appliances. All performance work requiring a permit is documented by an acceptance certificate issued by the organization that issued the permit. WITHOUT AN ACCEPTANCE CERTIFICATE, THE WORK IS DEFINITELY CONSIDERED INDIVIDUAL CONSTRUCTION.

Note: the installation or dismantling of partitions from tongue-and-groove blocks, foam and aerated concrete, drywall (GVL), plywood and lumber does not require permission.

Project and estimate

Based on the results of prototyping, a project is developed that complies with building codes (the model is "driven" into the norms), and an estimate for the production of work. To draw up an estimate, you need to make an explication - indicate the area of the floor, ceiling, walls, and other data necessary for the calculation.

Design is hard work; even for experienced builders, the project often takes more time and effort than the actual construction. It is better to entrust the development of the project and estimates to experienced professionals who are fluent in SNiP (Building Norms and Rules). So it will come out sooner, easier and cheaper than later to remake amateurish flaws.

Advice: the estimate and the family budget allocated for construction are two different things. Approximately 30% “on top” should be included in the budget for paperwork and unforeseen expenses. Tentatively, we can assume that with reasonable savings and proper organization of work, you can meet 12,000 rubles / sq.m per TOTAL area of the apartment, including a balcony with a closet.

Coordination

Construction design organizations, as a rule, also prepare packages of permits for work. Prices are not encouraging, but "self-registration" will cost more and may lead to a neurologist. There is only one “but” - the period of validity of permits is limited, therefore, when concluding a design contract, it is necessary to stipulate their phased receipt.

The production cycle

Repair work is carried out starting with the dirtiest and most difficult. They are performed immediately, and then the decoration is carried out from the far rooms to the entrance. The repair sequence is as follows:

It is advisable to separate the rough repair of the bathroom and its finishing with the replacement of plumbing so as not to “kill” the new one during the repair. Repair of the kitchen is complicated and requires separate layout, and the room is not a walk-through, so it is better to do it in a complex way. The hallway is done last, primarily because of the garbage.

About the balcony

When to repair the balcony? It is often advised to leave it in the end - there, they say, it is convenient to locate the preparation area (workbench with a vise) and store materials. But the experience of a do-it-yourselfer says that from frequent walking to the balcony, dirt and debris are carried throughout the apartment, it is much more convenient to work with long materials in the next room in line, and there is no danger that a block or board will fall down on the head of a random passerby.

Therefore, if the repair is voluminous, it is better to do the balcony first, especially since it is the farthest from the entrance. In addition, without risking ruining your home, you can hone your working skills on the balcony, learn to feel the material and gain experience in going through the authorities.

Tools

A drill and a simple set of metalwork tools are available to everyone who knows how to tinker. For repairs, you also need to purchase a puncher: they will come in handy later, and problems may arise when renting back due to intensive use. To the puncher, you must immediately purchase a set of drills, drills and chisels for concrete (an impact drill is unsuitable for long-term work of this kind) and a drill bit for concrete according to the size of the holes for the sockets. To the grinder - a few (2-3 to start) circles on stone and metal, cutting and cleaning. To a conventional drill, in addition to the existing drills, a metal cord brush for cleaning surfaces and a mixing nozzle for mixing building mixtures.

From a small tool, you need to stock up on a tape measure of 10 m or more, a building level of at least 1 m in length, also 1 m with a metal ruler and a 0.5 m bench square. You will also need a metal spatula for plaster, a rule for leveling the screed, a chisel or chisel and a half for grouting. For work with glue, you need a notched trowel for glue.

From the painting tool you need round and flat brushes 30-40, 60-80 and 100-120 mm and a paint roller. For drywall you will need a spiked roller, and for another needle roller, a special one. Also stock up on a few mounting knives, a joint knife, adjustable and gas wrenches No. 1 and No. 2. For specific types of work, additional tools will be needed.

As for a soldering iron, a laser level and a kit for installing split system pipelines, they are expensive, they are rarely needed in everyday life (except, perhaps, a jigsaw), so it’s better to rent them.

materials

Materials are heavy, dirty, required in large quantities and allow for long-term storage, such as cement, sand, plaster mixtures, ready-made paints, it is better to purchase immediately for at least 2 stages of repair in order to have time to buy more. Piece facing materials (laminate, MDF, lining, tiles, porcelain stoneware) are purchased immediately: then the seller may not have the right article, and even for one article the tone changes somewhat from batch to batch, but according to the results of an accurate calculation - they are expensive - and with reserve for battle and waste.

Materials that require special storage and preparation conditions immediately before use (self-leveling floor, glue, sealant, etc.) are purchased as needed: it suddenly turns out to be unusable, a claim can be made only immediately after purchase. This does not apply to hardware, fasteners, installation profiles and rough finishing materials (drywall, plywood) - they can be purchased immediately, if there is somewhere to store, and as needed.
