There are quite traditional mistakes that customers make when choosing a laminate decor. We would like to inform you about them and give some recommendations.

If you have a very sunny room - do not use colors such as wenge, American or Asian walnut, rosewood: as on a dark floor in bright side sunlight, settling microparticles are especially noticeable. Nobody says that it is dust and dirt. After all, even in a hermetically sealed apartment, after six months, all the furniture is covered with dust. By violating this commandment, you risk having an untidy appearance of the floor for the entire period of its operation.

As a rule, hallways in apartments are dark. Using peach wallpaper and the same light laminate, there is a chance that everything will merge. Conclusion - when using a light laminate, such as beech, white oak, birch, try to avoid light wallpapers, make them darker by three to four tones.

In a small apartment, it is advisable not to use different laminate decors: that is, do not make one in the kitchen, another in the hallway, and a third in the living room. This will break the space into small zones, visually reducing the area..

It is also important to remember how your interior doors will be combined with flooring. We strongly recommend not to use black-brown laminate with red and dark red doors. Interior doors should be darker than the floor, but in the same color scheme and texture. That is, if you chose a cherry laminate, choose cherry doors, but darker ones. Do not make laminate and interior doors in the same color. You will lose both items of decoration in your home.

When choosing a white or milky laminate, do not overdo it with light colors in other finishes: wallpaper, white furniture, doors. When everything is white, the effect of sterility arises and a person has a feeling of discomfort and vulnerability.

The same goes for all other colors. Everything in moderation. Fashion magazines will help you choose interesting color combinations. Flip through magazines, and not only specialized magazines are suitable, but also publications dedicated to clothing. Having chosen those combinations that you liked, consider their use in the interior. That, in fact, is all. Good luck!

Before you go to the store, try to figure out which laminate you prefer - light, dark, oak, or cherry, or pine, etc.

Make your choice depending on what mood you would like to give your room: light and airy, cozy and warm, playful and energetic, elegant and formal, etc. If you're having trouble, just choose floor color matching door color(if you have it wooden), or the color of the wooden parts of the furniture that will stand in this room. The floor should be a tone lighter!

Keep in mind that the floor throughout the apartment should be of matching materials. If in other rooms you have carpet or ceramic tiles, then laminate is suitable, but if it's parquet, then it's better to have parquet in all rooms.

Keep in mind that very light as well as very dark laminate flooring will need to be cleaned quite often.

Always keep in mind the optical possibilities of the laminate pattern: long, narrow stripes on the floor in a narrow corridor will make this room look like a bowling alley, and, for example, a square room will turn into a rectangular one.

Respectively, you can slightly expand your room visually by laying the laminate in stripes across the width.

Consider also the fact that laminate floors can last for many years, so, choosing bright colors or an unusual pattern for laying a laminate, you will already be tied to a certain style, and in a couple of years, you just won’t be able to just change the wallpaper for a more classic one!

When you go to the store, take with you a plan of the room with the exact dimensions.

The salesperson will use your plan to calculate the number of packs needed to install the laminate flooring. He will also be sure to tell you about the various manufacturers, prices, service life, water protection levels, and all, all the technical subtleties of this finishing material.

What color to choose for the floor: soft or dark. Light colors visually increase the size of the room, and dark colors reduce it. This is known to everyone, but still what effect does gender have?

Dim colors:

If you want to slightly lighten up a dark room, then you should choose a subdued floor color. Floors of subdued colors reflect light. This will make your room brighter and visually enlarge it. Dim colors create a sense of cleanliness and order and deprive those in the room of a sense of time. In combination with cool wall colors, you can create a calm effect. Just do not overdo it: for rooms located on the north and west sides of the building, you need to consider the following: the whiter the floor, the cooler the atmosphere. Dark furniture pairs very well with light wood floors, creating unexpected effects. In addition, floors in subdued colors can be perfectly combined with a wide variety of colors.

Dark colors:

Dark colored floors are the ideal starting point for creating contrasts. They can be ideally combined with light colored walls or with other dark colors used for light areas and accessories. Avoid using annoying white and choose an acceptable shade, such as cream or white mixed with some other color. You can liven up the space by adding bright accessories to your interior. Too many dark colors will indeed create a gloomy feel with the effect of reduced light and lack of atmosphere.

The combination of colors of furniture and floor:

Make sure your floor color is either two shades lighter or significantly darker than your furniture color. The combination of floor and furniture of the same color and the same type of wood is possible only if a carpet is laid on the floor, the color of which contrasts markedly with them.

On the gray floor(e.g. natural oak, lacquered) you should not be afraid to install furniture made from very dark woods (e.g. wenge or walnut). Light furniture, covered with white lacquer, will also look very attractive.

Light wood furniture combined with soft walls and light floors create a calm atmosphere in the house. This is a somewhat conservative approach, but you can end up with a boring interior as a result. Excessive passion for monotony can make the interior boring and monotonous.

Laminate and wallpaper: 4 most successful combinations

The key finishing in the repair is the floor and walls. Of the floor samples, a laminate is more often chosen, they prefer to decorate the walls with wallpaper. The wrong combination of colors will create dissonance in the interior. I will try to help you avoid mistakes in the selection of material.

We select the material

Starting repairs, do not look for ready-made standards. The decision is always made individually based on several points:

  • room style;
  • appointment;
  • filling;
  • illumination;
  • financial opportunities;
  • design ideas.

Be a designer! Before buying laminate flooring, evaluate the style of the room. This will help you decide on the color scheme. Laminate panels have a lot of shades, grouped by primary colors:

  • White,
  • Brown,
  • Red,
  • Gray,
  • dark (from black to wenge - rich brown).

Of great importance is the texture and pattern: imitation of boards, stone, solid wood, tiles and other materials. It is important to know the rules for harmonious combinations of floor and wall gamma.

Ideally, furniture, wallpaper, flooring should be combined. Do not forget about the illumination of the room. When planning to make the living room bright - choose light colors.

Walls and flooring should never be the same color. Wallpaper and laminate should be different. It is recommended to maintain a difference of 3-4 tones or use contrasting skirting boards.

Color selection rules

The law of "trinity" dominates in the design of any room, that is, three shades should be present in the interior. Each appears in a different gradation of saturation and brightness.

If the repair is done by hand, avoid the main mistake: combining cold and warm shades. This deprives the room of charm, comfort and is considered bad taste. Use variations of shades from only one group.

Under cold wallpaper, choose similar laminate options. Color does not matter - "play" within the limits of warm or cold. The type of board is also unimportant: gloss, embossed or matte.

Instructions for choosing a laminate in a small apartment: be careful with the color palette. It is better to make the floors in all rooms of the same tone, otherwise heterogeneity will visually divide the apartment into mini zones and make the apartment even smaller.

The starting point for color solutions can be the style of the interior:

  • Classic - implies restraint in pattern and tone. Give preference to slightly prominent vertical stripes. Laying laminate is better than warm golden (Italian walnut), birch, brown oak. Appearance should imitate valuable wood species.
  • Modern- make a contrast here. Floor - dark tones (wenge, bleached or black oak) or neutral shades of gray. The walls are made lighter.
  • Country, Provence- these styles suggest naturalness. On the floor, use an imitation of rustic, old wood in light shades. The walls are several tones lighter (monochrome, embossed, with a small golden motif).

Floor and wall colors: 4 combinations

The choice base is extensive. Consider a few popular options:

A photo Description

Option 1. Laminate red shades

Have you chosen Cherry, Swallowtail, Pear or Milanese for your floor? For such a coating, you need to choose wallpaper in warm colors:

  • light blue,
  • marsh,
  • shades of pink,
  • pale lilac,
  • peach,
  • yellow gamma.

Harmonious entry into color is given by reddish patterns on the walls.

Option 2. Laminate brown shades

Most prefer neutral brown tones. These include:

  • ash,
  • light alder,
  • Birch tree,
  • light oak.

For such a floor, choose wallpaper in pastel colors:

  • cream,
  • yellow,
  • green,
  • buffy.

Bright strokes on the walls will help to give individuality. The nobility of the furnishings, wall panels with dark brown frames are successfully emphasized.

Option 3. Light-colored laminate

Dark rooms need "lightening". Paul solves this problem perfectly.

Pure white looks luxurious, but too problematic, especially if there are animals, the elderly and children at home.

An alternative to white will be coconut, jute, linen, beige. Under the white laminate, you can choose wallpaper in brownish tones.

This is luxury and solidity. Any colors are taken to the light floor, including rich-bright ones. The price of materials is not traced.

It is difficult to pick up wallpaper of the purple group for a light laminate. If this color is important to you, use such walls in spacious rooms with large windows. Evening lighting is also important.

Option 4. Gray laminate

Today, light gray laminate is at the height of fashion. This is elegance, restraint, aristocracy, practicality.

Suitable for many styles: from minimalism to classics. It looks spectacular in any conditions, in any premises:

  • bedroom,
  • cabinet,
  • living room,
  • corridor,
  • kitchen.

Wallpaper under a gray laminate will suit any. But gray wallpaper and gray laminate should differ in texture and tone.

Gray laminate is combined with walls of any shade of gray, white and black. Good combinations with cold pastel colors.

Gray floor with beige wallpaper looks cozy. It is allowed to cover the walls interspersed with yellow, raspberry.

A room gets a glamorous look when using a wall covering in orange, purple, pink tones.

Disharmony and complex perception occurs with green, red, saturated lilac.

Repair sequence

What does laminate or wallpaper do first? The relevance of this issue affects 80% of families who make repairs with their own hands. Even experts cannot answer unequivocally, although the majority is of the opinion: first wallpaper is glued.

Why? Consider the nuances of the process:

  • Wallpapering is accompanied by the appearance of high humidity. Drying takes place with the windows closed. As a result, during the day the floors will absorb the resulting moisture. This may adversely affect the coverage.

  • On an already installed laminate, you will have to use glue. When spreading walls or strips of wallpaper, there is a high risk of staining the coating.
  • When cutting the roll, you can drop the knife, scissors, tape measure. There will be scratches or other defects from moving the auxiliary ladder.
  • No need to make straight cuts at the bottom- the material is glued to the floor, and the plinth will cover all the irregularities.

It is known that the flooring is more durable than wallpaper, they are changed several times when the laminate is laid. Nothing terrible happens. In most cases, everyone chooses a convenient way for themselves.

Output

Wall decor is easier to change than laminate, so choose flooring first, then wallpaper. There are many combinations, you already know the rules. If you respect the loyalty of colors, you will get an excellent result.

- one of the most popular floor coverings in Russia. Laminate flooring is used in both residential and public buildings, as well as in shops, offices, fitness centers, etc.

What is the secret behind the popularity of laminate flooring? In fact, there are several secrets: firstly, the laminate is aesthetic - with laminated floors, the interior of the room acquires such features as nobility and solidity; secondly, the cost of laminate flooring is very democratic - beautiful floors are now available to almost everyone.

In addition, laminate floors are easy to install, and they are quite easy to care for - in any case, much easier than carpet and even parquet.

Despite the many positive qualities of the laminate, the decisive argument in its favor most often is precisely the high aesthetics at a fairly low price. Laminate is able to decorate any room - both ultra-modern and stylish, and solid and respectable. However, in order to achieve the desired effect, you must choose the right laminate color .

What to look for when choosing the color of the laminate?

When deciding on a color issue, you need to navigate on the features of the style and interior of the room. In addition, you should also consider what mood you plan to create. The color of the flooring is crucial - both designers and psychologists talk about this, arguing that floors can affect the psychological state of people who will have to spend a lot of time in this room.

Laminate color and style:

- In a room made in classic style , it is worth buying a laminate under a noble tree. Oak, mahogany and beech laminated floors make the room solid and “expensive”, so this laminate will be a good solution for a living room in a classic style or for the office of the head of the company.

Under such an expensive laminate, it is worth choosing a high-quality tone-on-tone wooden skirting board. Plastic skirting boards in this case can emphasize the artificiality of the flooring. While a solid wooden plinth finished with veneer or varnish, on the contrary, will create the effect of the high cost of the interior.

Laminate under mahogany (mahogany tree)

Laminate imitating cherry, teak, oak and exotic woods is an excellent solution for interiors in style. country, retro, as well as in eco- and ethnic style . For country, you can also choose a bleached laminate, especially when it comes to French country (). Also for interiors in retro and country style, you can purchase a laminate with a worn or rough effect.

"Bleached" laminate; country style

Laminate suitable for interiors close to nature

Laminate in the kitchen in country style

Laminates in white, black or colored (e.g. red) as well as their combination are suitable for rooms in avant-garde style and in contemporary style .

modern style

Metallic, stone or tile laminate should be used for finishing floors in rooms decorated in style high tech, in urban and futuristic style. The laminate flooring under the tree in gray tones can also successfully fit in here.

Laminate color and room mood

In addition to the style of the room, you need to consider the mood that you want to create in it. Light brown wood colors floor coverings are ideal for the living room, as they make it cozy, warm and comfortable for rest and relaxation.

Comfort with light laminate

Especially with a longitudinal pattern, on the contrary, it sets you up for activity, so it is advisable to purchase such a floor covering for a home or office office, for a lethargic child's room and a teenager prone to depression.

A room with such a laminate will set you up for activity and positively affect your mood.

Reflecting like a mirror, it is good for those rooms where guests or partners will be received. If you really want just such a laminate, it is better to put it in a MONOfunctional living room (where the owners do not rest, but only receive guests) or an office conference room. Psychologists say that a room with such floors sets up goodwill and active communication.

Laminate flooring: dark, high gloss; effective, but not conducive to relaxation

Laminate color and room features

It is also necessary to take into account the initial data of the room for which the laminate is purchased. IN dark room with low ceilings and north-facing windows, it is better to purchase light laminate (for example, bleached oak, beech, cremona wenge, alba cherry, maple, white pine, etc.). Light laminate has another advantage - a room with such floors becomes visually more spacious.

If the room looks cold, you should give preference to laminate warm color with reddish tints (walnut, cherry, alder, etc.).

In the sunny very bright room floors can be finished dark laminate - dark brown, dark gray or even black. However, one should not forget about an important design rule: the darker the flooring, the more artificial lighting. By the way, dark glossy floors are good for matrimonial bedrooms.

Attention! Designers categorically do not recommend purchasing a laminate that is too dark for finishing floors in a compact room, as dark floors can visually reduce it.

To visually expand the room , you can opt for a laminated board with pronounced longitudinal stripes and lay the laminate across. If you need to visually lengthen the room, you need, on the contrary, to mount the laminate along the room or corridor. But at the same time, the room will also shrink. To reduce the effect of narrowing, you need to choose a laminate with short thick strips.

A few more nuances to consider when choosing a laminate color

Firstly, for rooms with high traffic (reception, office corridor, etc.), it is undesirable to use a light-colored laminate, since pollution is very noticeable on it. The same applies to very dark plain laminate. On a dark glossy laminate, all scratches and light damage are striking, so in a room where they will walk in shoes, such a floor covering is undesirable.

Another design rule is: wooden (or wood-imitating) floors should be combined in color with wooden and wicker furniture. Their color should be almost the same, but the laminate can be a couple of tones lighter or, conversely, darker. If the furniture is metal, glass or plastic, the color of the floor does not matter much. For the kitchen, this is also not particularly relevant, especially since you can buy a laminate for tiles in the kitchen.

Of course it is possible, combine laminate and furniture in completely different colors , but it's pretty tricky. If you violate the laws of compatibility, the room can turn out to be flashy, heterogeneous and even tasteless. However, popular wisdom says: "Rules are made to be broken." So do not be afraid of color experiments. Laminate is good in itself, and in order to spoil the room with the wrong color of this flooring, you need to try very hard.

Laminate is the most popular flooring and is widely used in commercial and residential interior design. Such popularity is due to the unique performance characteristics, aesthetics and affordable price. The interior of the room with laminated floors acquires the features of presentability and is characterized by high comfort. The cost of laminate flooring is quite democratic - anyone can afford beautiful floors. This flooring is easy to install and requires little maintenance. The service life of the laminate is 10 years or more, depending on the operating conditions. Laminate flooring can be an adornment of any interior - from classic to the most modern. But in order to achieve this, you need to know how to choose the right color for the laminate in an apartment, house or office.

What to look for when choosing a laminate color

Unfortunately, not all of us have excellent artistic taste, so choosing the color of the laminate can cause certain difficulties. Meanwhile, the color of the floor is of great importance in creating the atmosphere of the room. It has been proven that it affects the psychological state of people who spend a lot of time in this room. Therefore, when choosing a laminate, you need to focus not only on the style of the interior, but also on what mood should be felt in a particular case.

Laminate color and room style

  • In rooms with an interior in a classic style, laminated floors imitating noble wood will be most appropriate - mahogany, beech or oak laminate will make the atmosphere sophisticated and presentable. This flooring would be ideal in a classic living room or high-ranking office. In order not to focus on the artificial origin of the material, it is recommended to use wooden skirting boards, varnished or veneered, which will emphasize the solidity of the interior.
  • Laminate, which imitates oak, teak, mahogany, cherry and other precious woods, is ideal for interior design in ethno-style, eco-style, retro and country style. If we are talking about the Provence (French country) style that is popular today, then a bleached laminate floor will be an excellent choice, and for a retro-style interior, a laminate floor with a rough or worn effect is perfect.
  • Black, white or bright colored laminate will perfectly fit into the interior of contemporary or avant-garde rooms with laconic and strict furnishings.
  • Laminate flooring under natural stone, ceramic tiles and metallic look will look harmonious in rooms, the interior of which is decorated in urban and futuristic style, as well as in high-tech style. No less presentable will look rooms in this style with laminated floors in gray tones under natural wood.

The presentability of a room with laminated floors depends not only on the color and texture of the laminate, but also on the quality of the material. Therefore, saving on laminate is not worth it, and then it will serve faithfully for many years.

Laminate color and room mood

In addition to the style in which the interior of an apartment or office is decorated, when choosing a laminate, one must also take into account the mood that needs to be created in them.

  • The light brown colors characteristic of natural wood are ideal for small living spaces. They create in them an atmosphere of coziness, warmth and comfort, make them more spacious and bright.
  • A red-brown laminate with a natural wood texture and a longitudinal pattern improves mood, increases activity and prevents the development of depression. Therefore, this flooring is best used in offices and home offices, as well as in children's rooms.
  • Glossy laminate in dark colors is very good for home living rooms, meeting rooms and presentable meeting rooms with important business partners or guests of honor. According to psychologists, dark shiny floors set up active communication, create an atmosphere of goodwill and mutual understanding. At the same time, such flooring is not conducive to relaxation.

Laminate color and room features

When choosing a floor covering, it is necessary to take into account not only the class of the laminate, its color and texture, but also the features of the room in which it will be used.

  • For a floor in a dark room with standard ceilings and insufficient lighting, it is best to purchase a light-colored laminate in white pine, maple, cherry-alba, beech or bleached oak. Visually, a room with light floors will be more spacious.
  • In rooms with a "cold" laconic interior, it is advisable to use a light laminate in reddish tones like alder, cherry or walnut.
  • In a bright sunny room, a darker laminate is perfect - dark gray, dark brown, and sometimes even black. However, it should be borne in mind that in rooms with dark floors there should be good artificial lighting. Glossy dark floors look great in bedrooms.

To visually make the room wider, it is best to use a laminate with pronounced longitudinal stripes as a floor covering. There are different ways of laying laminate, but in this case it must be laid across the room, regardless of the location of windows and doors. If you lay the laminate along the room, then it will visually lengthen. To get rid of the narrowing effect when laying longitudinally, it is best to use a laminate with pronounced wide, but short stripes.

Nuances to consider when choosing a laminate color

  • For offices and other commercial premises with high traffic, as well as for corridors in apartments and houses, it is not recommended to use a laminate in light colors. Dirt will be too noticeable on it and this will create additional difficulties during cleaning. The same can be said about too dark flooring. The smallest scratches, dust and sand will be visible on the dark floor.
  • It is desirable that the flooring is combined in color with the furniture, therefore, when choosing a laminate, you must take this moment into account. At the same time, the color of the floors and the color of the furniture should not be the same. It is good if the laminate is a few tones darker or lighter than the furniture. If the interior is made in high-tech or modern style and furniture made of glass, metal and other artificial materials is used in the room, then the color of the laminate does not play a special role. Laminate in the kitchen should be designed to look like tiles, natural stone or linoleum.

For interior design, you can use laminate flooring in different colors, but here it is very important not to lose a sense of proportion. It is better if you decide how best to use two-tone floors in a particular interior, there will be a professional designer. Nevertheless, you should not give up on experiments, because the laminate will retain its presentable appearance in any environment, and in order to spoil the interior, you need to try very hard.

In order to simplify the process of choosing the right laminate, we suggest watching the video below.

Video: how to choose a laminate and how to combine colors in the interior

After watching this video, you can learn the secrets of choosing the color of the laminate in accordance with the interior of the room. As a bonus, you will be introduced to the intricacies of choosing the color of doors and skirting boards, which plays an important role in creating unity of the environment and maximum comfort.

An interior door is such a piece of furniture that is the first thing that catches your eye when entering a room, so its choice should be treated with utmost attention. Its combination with laminate flooring, walls and other interior elements should be thoughtful and balanced.

As a rule, interior doors are installed at the final stage of repair or before operation after laying the flooring. Experts consider this decision to be correct. This makes it easier to choose the right door.

Peculiarities

Interior doors have an impact on the appearance of the interior of the room as a whole. For a successful combination of floor and doors, the rules for matching tones are used: warm doors - a warm tone, and cold doors - a cold one, and the law of the trinity, which will be discussed below. The door leaf should be lighter than the laminate or darker by several tones. It's not worth the risk of choosing the same solution for the color of doors and laminate - you can get a dull interior, however, it can also be used to advantage if the walls have a dark expressive color.

From the details of the interior with a competent design, a general picture of the room is formed, where each of its elements is complemented by others. The place of the door as an object in the design of the room is one of the key ones. Fitting into his interior style, it should look impeccable, look good against the backdrop of laminate, furniture and materials used for wall decoration.

Also important are such interior items as platbands, skirting boards, door sills; as well as accessories.

What colors of laminate and doors look best in combination so that the latter does not merge with the decor or does not irritate the visual perception with excessive contrast? These and other selection features are offered below.

How to choose beautiful combinations: rules

Consider the most popular color options for interior doors:

  • White. The interior solution for white interior doors should be modern and concise. The snow-white door is in perfect harmony with a variety of colors of wooden floors, linoleum and laminate. You just need to consider that each color can have shades of warm and cold tones.

A white canvas will not look very good indoors if the laminate is chosen in a very dark range, for example, dark oak. It is better to choose calmer, softer shades of the coating.

  • Beige. This familiar color for doors can be well combined with similar light, neutral tones of the flooring: milk beige, golden walnut, white ash. But the use of a reddish coating is contraindicated due to their extremely unsuccessful combination. Models of doors that have tones similar to beige are universal: they can be installed both in the bathroom and in the hallway.

  • Gray. It is a cold color and has several shades: dirty gray, milky, smoky. Great for rooms facing south and east. Suitable for a laminate that has shades of beige: beige-milky, milky-smoky, cream. However, it is used extremely carefully, it is used in the interior, made in a classic style, and in modern high-tech, pop art trends.

  • Brown. This popular color prevails in the number of shades: from light brown to dark chocolate. The same laminate is suitable for him, but different in tone, in accordance with his taste.

Platbands choose the same tone with the floor. In such an interior, furniture of similar shades looks very good, but 1-2 tones lighter. Doors and laminate in brown shades are perfect for vintage Provence and country styles.

  • Nut. Walnut tone doors perfectly fill the interior style for living spaces and offices. Dark walnut harmonizes perfectly with a laminate of the same color, but only in a lighter tone, as well as light oak or beech, giving the impression of a delicate and at the same time contrasting composition. Perfectly fit into any interior style, especially in country and modern.

In residential areas, walnut doors with frosted glass inserts made in the form of geometric shapes and with golden fittings look good. They give the interior a finished sophisticated look.

Designers all over the world, decorating the interior of the room, observe the principle of trinity, which allows the presence of the number of primary colors of the spectrum in the interior of the room no more than three. The main role is played by one color, chosen according to taste, purpose or expediency. The base color can be chosen, for example, for flooring. Then the second should harmoniously fit into the interior along with the first - these are interior doors.

There is one more color left - it can be used for walls. Well, decorative interior items installed in the room according to your own taste (vases, lamps, carpets, deer antlers) should fit into the decorated interior.

Not only natural wood products are effectively combined with laminate, but also doors for painting.

Once upon a time, only economy class doors were painted, but times are changing, and today even premium class models are subject to staining. They can be made of ash, oak or other precious woods. There are practically no pores on their hard surface, and the paint is well applied without any preparation.

Coloring is best done with covering (covering) paints that have antiseptic properties. The choice of shades of any color of such doors will not require much effort in the presence of a huge range of artificial and natural dyes for their preparation.

  • doors wenge colors due to their growing popularity, it should be highlighted especially, because the demand for them is rapidly gaining momentum. The wenge color got its name from the name of a tree growing in equatorial Africa, whose representatives in the wild have about forty varieties. The color structure of wenge is extremely diverse. In general, it can be described as brown with black streaks. Such canvases look inharmonious next to the wenge laminate and do not like sharp contrast.

For a classic interior, it is better not to choose the color of wenge. Most of all, it is suitable for high-tech style. Dark wenge in the interior can be present in only one quality - the canvas or the floor. However, dark glossy laminates can show dust marks and detract from their appearance. The best combination: the door is wenge, and the laminate is oak or dark oak.

Color solutions

The general style of interior design of the apartment is dominant in relation to rooms made in a different style. If a different laminate is used in different rooms, then it is necessary to find a shade of door panels that is universally combined with it. Here you can focus on neutral shades of light wood, ivory and other tones, or golden ones - alder, honey birch. You can get by with a special threshold in the doors, which combines their color scheme like a buffer.

You can choose the right color scheme for the door and laminate by using a harmonious combination of shades of each of their colors with a wall painted with paint or with the color of the wallpaper. It is impossible to allow the merging of canvases and walls into one whole, so you need to highlight the contrast of the walls by choosing the right shade for them.

If expensive natural furniture is chosen for the room, then the main emphasis can be placed on it. The remaining colors from the selected range can be distributed between doors and laminate or walls, combining them.

What and how should an unsuccessfully chosen door color be compensated for? It can be compensated by the right furniture. It should be lighter than the canvas by 4-5 tones. If the room is dominated by dark furniture, then the resulting gloom of the interior will help to eliminate doors with inserted glasses. And if you choose light furniture for the room (preferably one color), then the doors will need a similar light decor.

Do not forget about the use of decorative elements in the interior (pillows, paintings, souvenirs, flower arrangements).

They will help to dilute an overly heavy, dark environment, muffle the saturation of colors and give originality to a discreet interior.

Options in the interior

When different styles of door and laminate design are used in an apartment, you can choose door panels treated with different veneers. And its sides will correspond to the interior of two rooms at once. Their cost will be high, but such a solution will solve several problems at once when designing.

  • The ability to create a visual illusion of increasing space by selecting laminate and doors of the same tone. Using contrasting colors will have the opposite effect. Large rooms are more attractive for the use of such solutions.
  • Having chosen interior doors decorated in warm colors, you should also choose a laminate in the same way. The advantage of warm shades is their ability to hide some of the shortcomings of interior design solutions. These shades include: apricot, amber, the color of natural wood. And if the door leaf has shades of blue, light cream, turquoise, then the laminate should be similar in tone and have shades similar to it in cold perception.

  • Expensive neutral-colored laminate is a versatile solution for interior design. It will last up to 15 years, and cosmetic repairs during this time can be carried out repeatedly. Therefore, it is better to avoid exotic shades, which will greatly limit the possibility of changing the interior during this period of time.
  • We must not forget about the plinth, which unites the floor and doors. It can be chosen both for the color of the door and for the color of the floor, but, as a rule, it is 5-6 shades darker than the latter. A correctly chosen plinth will allow you to connect a kind of frame into one whole canvas and floor, even if the differences between them are great.
