The combination of glass is possible with any building material. With wood, the glazing looks very organic, and there is no difference whether the gazebo is built from logs or timber. You can also find wooden glazed structures made of boards and plywood, but this is rather an exception.
A glazed brick gazebo is substantial enough to be used as a summer kitchen and usually requires the installation of a barbecue. But such structures are much more expensive than wooden ones, due to the need to install a good foundation not only for the walls, but also for the stove.
Metal frames in combination with glass can be called a classic solution, as they look most harmonious with each other. Here it is possible to glaze not only the walls, but also the roof.
Glazing options
Glazing is convenient if the gazebo is small in size - it will not make its internal area even smaller and, at the same time, will reliably protect it from external influences. In addition, with the help of glass, the space will be visually enlarged and the boundaries of the walls will be erased.
There are several types of glazing for gazebos. This is traditional glazing, installation of double-glazed windows, glazing without the use of frames, façade glazing. Let's look at each type separately.
Traditional glazing
This is the most common and cheapest type of glazing. It consists of installing wooden frames in the openings and fixing them with glazing beads. All work can be done by hand. Only summer-type structures can be glazed in this way, for which it is not so important to have complete tightness. Installation of double-glazed windows
Double-glazed windows are now very common - they are installed in apartments and houses, in industrial buildings and public institutions. This type is quite expensive and the work requires certain experience and knowledge. It is possible to choose the number of cameras in double-glazed windows, for example, for a gazebo, which is used only in the summer, one will be enough, but for winter ones, models with two or even three cameras are suitable. Aluminum glazing of gazebos is considered cold and can be done by hand. In this case, the glass will not have cameras. The most important advantage is the complete tightness of the resulting glazing, as well as sound insulation when closed.

This may be impractical in hot summers, when you really want fresh air, which can only be let in through the door. But to correct the situation, you can create a ventilation gap under the roof, which will ensure proper air exchange and make the microclimate more comfortable.
Such glazing, like any other, in addition to the standard solution with wooden frames, will cost the owner a fairly large amount. That is why it is worth weighing your desires with your budget in advance. The cheapest is glazing on an aluminum frame.

Gazebos made of PVC films
This type of glazing is rapidly gaining popularity. The cost of soft glass for gazebos is relatively low, but they are no less practical and reliable than glass. Gazebos glazed in this way look very good and fit perfectly into the surrounding landscape. The film is attached in a special way to the rotary brackets through eyelets.
Important! It is better to opt for PVC film, the density of which is at least 630 g/m2. m. They are more durable and will last longer.
This material has one drawback - it requires careful handling, since the film will not withstand even a minor puncture or cut.
Double-glazed windows made of polycarbonate
This glazing material is more expensive than the previously presented film, but it will last much longer and is resistant to mechanical stress.
