Gas silicate blocks are one of the most popular on modern market building materials. Houses built from them are characterized by durability, attractive appearance and excellent performance characteristics. But, of course, build quality walls from such blocks is possible only if the right choice binding mixture. On the market today there are several types of such a product as glue for gas silicate blocks. The consumption per 1 m3 of these funds can vary significantly.

Mortar or glue?

Sometimes gas silicate blocks they are simply laid on However, this method of constructing walls is used only in extreme cases. The advantage of gas silicate blocks is, first of all, that they are able to perfectly retain heat indoors. In this indicator, such blocks are not inferior even to popular wood. Associated with low thermal conductivity gas silicate material primarily with its porous structure.

When using ordinary cement mortar in masonry from such blocks, subsequent problems arise. This, in turn, reduces the main advantage of gas silicate to nothing.

When using adhesives building blocks This variety is laid using a special technology. The bonding agent is applied to the rows and between separate elements Very thin layer. As a result, no cold bridges arise in the masonry. Sometimes such mixtures are applied in a rather thick layer. But in this case, their composition necessarily includes special additives that increase their heat-preserving qualities.

Modern adhesive for gas silicate blocks: consumption per 1m3

The cost of products intended for laying gas silicate blocks is, in most cases, relatively inexpensive. But, of course, before purchasing such a composition, you should definitely calculate its required quantity. Consumption of adhesives for gas silicate blocks different brands may vary greatly. Some adhesives are applied in a layer of 5-6 mm in masonry, others - 1-3 mm. Allowable thickness the manufacturer usually indicates on the packaging. Also in the instructions, in most cases, there is information about the expected consumption per 1 m 3 of masonry.

To do everything necessary calculations, thus, if necessary, it will not be at all difficult. In order to find out required quantity mixture, you must first calculate the total volume of the masonry. To do this, you just have to multiply the thickness of each wall, and then add the results.

In most cases, the glue consumption for gas silicate blocks, according to manufacturers, is 15-30 kg per 1 m 3. That is, per cubic meter of masonry, the master should use approximately one bag of the mixture. However, unfortunately, manufacturers usually slightly underestimate the consumption of the formulations they sell. In fact, most often when laying, 1.5 bags of mixture are used per 1 m 3.

Characteristics of adhesives for gas silicate blocks

The basis of such compositions is very often the same cement mixture. However, when producing adhesives of this type, manufacturers usually add to them, in addition to standard components, special substances that increase their plasticity, moisture resistance and frost resistance. Also, the solution for gas silicate blocks often includes additives designed to improve heat-retaining qualities.

In most cases, such products are dry mixtures packaged in bags. Preparation of glue from them is carried out simply by adding water in the required quantities.

Thus, ease of use is what, among other things, distinguishes the adhesive for gas silicate blocks. The prices for such compositions are usually not too high and are quite comparable to the cost of a standard concrete solution.

Types of glue for gas silicate blocks

All compositions sold on the market today intended for laying this material are divided into several varieties:

    adhesives used for the construction of partitions and walls inside a building;

    compositions intended for masonry outside;

    universal mixtures, which can be used both indoors and outdoors;

    mixtures with increased hardening speed;

    construction adhesive intended for laying enclosing structures of buildings that will subsequently be operated in conditions of high humidity.

    Glue manufacturers

    Of course, when choosing the most suitable composition for laying walls made of gas silicate blocks, you should pay attention not only to its specific purpose, but also to the manufacturer’s brand. Many companies today supply similar mixtures to the domestic market. The most popular brands of adhesives among Russian developers are:

      "Unis Uniblock".

      "Founds Selform."

      "Prestige".

      "Teplit Standard".

    Unix compositions for cellular concrete

    Laying gas silicate blocks with glue of this brand can be done both indoors and outdoors. It is also allowed to use Unix for repairing chips in cellular concrete. The position of the blocks can be adjusted when using this composition within 10-15 minutes. Among the advantages of Unix glue, consumers include the fact that its heat-preserving qualities are almost the same as those of the glue itself.

    Another advantage of such mixtures is their resistance to moisture and very low temperatures. According to the manufacturer, “Unix Uniblock” is an absolutely environmentally friendly product. The recommended layer of application is 5-10 mm.

    Another undoubted advantage of this brand of adhesives is their availability. You can purchase “Unix Uniblock”, unlike mixtures from many other manufacturers, in almost any building materials store.

    Osnovit Selform mixture

    This summer glue is made on the basis of a cement-sand mixture. It also earned relatively good consumer reviews. Its undoubted advantages, among other things, include low cost with good performance characteristics. In order to give the glue the appropriate properties, the manufacturer adds special substances to it that increase its heat-retaining qualities.

    The thickness of the masonry joint when using the Osnovit Selform mixture can be equal to 2 mm. The advantages of this glue include the fact that it is able to penetrate into the smallest recesses and irregularities of the blocks, which, in turn, increases the adhesion strength. This adhesive for gas silicate blocks has one more unconditional advantage. Its consumption per 1 m3 is only about 25 kg.

    Ytong remedy

    Adhesives of this brand are quite expensive. But they also have excellent characteristics. Ytong can be applied to blocks in a layer of only 1 mm. Therefore, its consumption is very small. The composition of mixtures of this brand, in addition to cement, includes polymers, mineral additives and special substances that give it plasticity. The advantages of Ytong adhesives include their ability to set quickly. Also, the advantage of mixtures of this brand is a high degree of frost resistance. Such adhesives can also be used during the construction of enclosing structures in winter time of the year.

    Mixtures “Etalon Teplit”

    Like Unix, such compositions are found on sale quite often. The advantages of winter adhesive “Etalon Teplit” are considered by consumers, first of all, to be its high degree of plasticity. When applied to gas silicate, this composition does not delaminate or spread. You can store this glue after preparation without loss of quality for several hours. At the same time, it sets in masonry literally in 10-15 minutes.

    Reducing the cost of construction is also what this adhesive for gas silicate blocks is valued for. Its consumption per 1 m3 is only 25-30 kg.

    "Prestige" products

    This is also a very high-quality mixture that can be used both in the warm season and in the cold. Consumers consider, first of all, a high degree of plasticity and reliability to be the undoubted advantages of these compositions. Prestige glue retains its viability for 3 hours. It can be applied to blocks in a layer 3-6 mm thick. The set mixture reaches full strength after three days.

    Glue for gas silicate blocks: prices for products from different manufacturers

    The cost of compositions intended for laying gas silicate blocks may depend not only on the brand, but also on the supplier. The price of Unix glue is, for example, 240-260 rubles. per bag 25 kg. For the same amount of Osnovit Selform you will need to pay about 200-220 rubles. Ytong glue costs about 310-330 rubles, and “Teplit Standard” costs 170-200 rubles. For a 25 kg bag of “Prestige” you will have to pay only 130-150 rubles.

In works on exterior decoration buildings are increasingly using blocks based modern materials- gas silicate. They are high quality, reliable, look great and ultimately are not prohibitively expensive. For their fastening, an adhesive composition is used that meets all work and safety standards.

The slabs retain heat well due to their structure, so in order to preserve this property, you need to decide how to choose adhesive for gas silicate blocks, taking into account the fact that a regular solution will not work.

Glue Features

The adhesive composition, intended for the work process with gas silicate blocks, contains Portland cement, quartz sand of the finest structure, mineral additives, and plasticizers.

Thanks to these components, good water and heat retention, low thickness of the adhesive layer (from 2 to 4 mm) and excellent interblock adhesive strength are ensured.

Features of special glue:

· resistance to high temperatures, as well as low and high humidity;

· hardening in a matter of minutes;

· economical: the use of the composition justifies the cost spent several times;

·high strength;

· easy preparation from a semi-finished state.

Compared to compositions made from cement and sand, the layer thickness of the sample under consideration provides an undeniable advantage.

In the first case, it reaches at least 15 mm due to the loss of strength at a lower value. The hygroscopicity of blocks when using special glue does not affect the reliability of fastening even with a thickness of 2 mm.

Main selection criteria

In order not to check the quality of the special adhesive composition for gas blocks already during the work, you should familiarize yourself with the main criteria that every buyer should focus on:

1) The manufacturer must be well-known, recommended by specialists, with well-established technology for the production of formulations.

2) Improper storage of the mixture (humidity or cold) worsens the properties and leads to insufficient strength during masonry.

3) If the price is excessively low, you should think about the likelihood of counterfeiting or inadequate quality;

4) The date of manufacture must correspond to the sale of the goods; otherwise, you cannot count on the desired results.

The packaging details the steps to proper preparation solution, as well as operating conditions and approximate drying time.

It should also be taken into account that in certain situations the addition of antifreeze components is required.

Main manufacturers

When wondering which adhesive to choose for gas silicate blocks, it is worth taking into account the opinions of both amateurs and professionals, given the fact that the range offered on the construction market is very wide.

Domestic and foreign manufacturers increasing every year model series adhesives.

The most important companies include the following:

· "Bonolit" and "Volma";

"Ytong" and "AeroStone";

· "Prestige" and "Glue Zabudov";

"Ceresit" and "Knauf";

"Azolit";

The most expensive and the cheapest

When considering the price category of adhesive mixtures, it is immediately worth noting that you should beware of a very low cost per package.

The reason for this is that a manufacturer will never set a low price for good fastening properties. It is also worth being reasonable about the differences between domestic and imported brands. No doubt many people understand what they are.

Among Russian adhesives there are good options, ranging in total from 130 to 200 rubles. per package of 25 kg. These are “Zabudov’s Glue”, “Prestige” and “TM-17 will win”. They are distinguished by decent performance in terms of ease of application and the absence of harmful impurities.

The most expensive ones include the domestic "Bonolit" and the German brands Ceresit and Knauf. Their price threshold starts from 250 rubles. per bag 25 or 30 kg. They have excellent adhesion, low mixture consumption, and increase the thermal insulation properties of the blocks.

Manufacturers of these brands produce different variants mixtures that differ in weight category and joint thickness.

Winter glue options are the highest in price - AeroStone and Ytong. Application in frost conditions of - 10 degrees Celsius. The cost in this case depends on the quality of the antifreeze additives present in the mixture. It is also worth considering price category winter adhesives higher than summer counterparts. The same applies to the consumption of the substance: per 1 cubic meter. 25 kg are spent.

The most popular among the people

Based on consumer opinion, you can find out which adhesive to choose for gas silicate blocks, with the greatest correspondence between quality and price.

According to statistics market demand The German Ceresit model "CT 21" wins.

The preference of buyers is quite justified: the company claims the quality corresponds to its cost.

Ceresit CT 21 will cause absolutely no harm: it is an environmentally friendly substance. Evenly and easily applied, resistant to low temperatures, does not lose its properties due to excessive humidity, when using it, “cold bridges” do not arise, and has high adhesion to the material. The numerical value of the mixture consumption is 5 kg per 1 sq.m. Properties last up to 4 hours. Estimated cost – 280 rubles.

The manufacturer guarantees a long service life and no claims from the consumer.

The construction of buildings made of aerated concrete has ceased to be outlandish. This material is rapidly conquering the market due to its lightness and good performance characteristics. Such construction requires the use of special solutions, since standard cement ones are not particularly suitable for such purposes (the joints are too rough). Professionals recommend the use of special adhesives. What are they, how to calculate material costs, what do manufacturers now offer?

Where is it used?

Adhesive for aerated concrete is a special dry mortar, which is diluted with water in the proportions specified by the manufacturer. It is used instead of conventional cement mortars for both external and internal work.

Use it for:

  • masonry of blocks made of gas and foam concrete, expanded clay and brick;
  • leveling wall surfaces, puttingty them;
  • styling ceramic tiles.

Seasonal varieties

Universal gray glue is used not only in winter, but also in summer.

Nowadays two types of mixtures are used for the construction of buildings. Adhesive for aerated concrete blocks is:

  • White. It is considered summer, used in warm seasons. Light shade(same as) it is made of white Portland cement, which makes it possible to save on interior decoration.
  • Gray. Although this type is called winter, it is universal and suitable for work in any season. Due to the presence of antifreeze additives in the composition, it is recommended for use in cold weather, however, it also has a certain temperature limit.

Composition and characteristics of the mixture

The composition of aerated concrete adhesive includes:

  • high quality cement;
  • fractionated (sifted in a special way) sand;
  • polymer additives that serve to improve the adhesive qualities of mixtures and their thermal conductivity;
  • modifiers, thanks to which the seams do not crack when temperatures rise.

The advantages of compositions for working with aerated concrete include the following characteristics:

  • the ability to make thin seams (only two to three millimeters thick), which reduces heat loss through the joints and reduces construction costs;
  • frost and moisture resistance;
  • the ability to carry out work in cold weather (with winter glue);
  • hardening without shrinkage.

Mode of application

Required Tools

To prepare the solution you will need:

  • a container in which you will need to stir the dry bulk mixture with water;
  • a drill with a special attachment (to obtain the correct consistency of sour cream, use a construction mixer);
  • measuring device to maintain correct proportions.

To apply glue and carry out masonry, use a steel or notched trowel or a trowel-bucket (carriage) for aerated concrete.

Cooking method

Dry mixtures are sold in 25 kg bags. To prepare the adhesive composition, the calculation is as follows: one factory package requires five to five and a half liters clean water(that is, 200-220 milligrams are taken per 1 kg). The liquid should be warm (from 15-18 to 60 °C).

After kneading, you should get a mass without lumps. It needs to be allowed to “settle” for five to ten minutes, and then stirred again. The glue is usable for only a couple of hours, so it is prepared in portions.

Application method

Apply aerated concrete adhesive in a minimal layer to clean blocks (without dust, dirt, or oil stains). The thickness of the joints during laying should not exceed 2-4 millimeters. The excess is removed immediately or cut off with a trowel after hardening. The position of the blocks can be adjusted within about ten minutes (perhaps with a rubber hammer). Level the surface by lightly tapping

Note. It is necessary to protect yourself from getting the prepared solution into your eyes and skin, so it is recommended to use protective clothing and gloves. A respirator or gauze bandage will not interfere.

Works in winter

For masonry in cold weather, a gray winter composition is used. However, as we have already mentioned, there is also a certain threshold for it (the “overboard” temperature cannot be lower than -10 °C; manufacturers usually recommend a value of 5 °C). For the solution itself, the temperature is maintained above zero - only if this condition good adhesion of materials is ensured.

Note. Do not glue frozen blocks covered with snow together - this is not allowed according to technology.

Designed specifically for the installation of walls made of gas silicate building blocks.

Features of adhesives for gas silicate blocks

Adhesives for gas silicate blocks are a type of adhesives for foam blocks, which are produced on the basis of cement, sand, modifiers and plasticizers to impart certain characteristics. The main feature of the glue is thin layer application, allowing to minimize “cold bridges” in the masonry without loss of adhesion strength.

To minimize glue consumption, use high-quality building blocks with a smooth surface without cracks or gouges. Manufacturers recommend applying glue in a layer of 1-5 mm and strictly following the instructions for preparing the solution. This will ensure there are no breaks in adhesive layer, frost resistance and thermal insulation properties masonry

If you start construction in the cold season, use winter modifications of adhesives for gas silicate blocks with antifreeze additives.

It is not recommended to use tile adhesive and conventional masonry mixtures, which have completely different properties, for laying cellular blocks.

The high moisture resistance of the adhesive composition provides protection against the penetration of dampness and prevents the development of mold and fungi.

When constructing buildings made of porous concrete, adhesive for gas silicate blocks is in demand, which is released in mass competitive advantages compared to classic cement mortar. The product is a universal mixture for the highest quality bonding of gas and foam concrete slabs, ceramic blocks and brickwork.

The composition of gas silicate adhesive includes the following components:

  • binder base in the form of high-quality Portland cement;
  • fine sand;
  • polymer additives;
  • modifying inclusions.

The polymer components are designed to ensure the plasticity of the mass and improve the adhesive properties of the solution. Modifiers help retain internal moisture, which protects the seams from cracking.

High surface adhesion properties refer to key features adhesive compositions. Also noted low level thermal conductivity of the product, which is determined by the absence of voids in the seams.

Which adhesive is best for silicate: selection criteria

When choosing a binding material for laying porous blocks, it is recommended to be guided by several criteria:

  • manufacturer's reputation. Well-known suppliers of construction resources value their own reputation and carefully control the quality of the materials they produce. If it bothers you high price products famous brand, remember the proverb “the miser pays twice.” To buy branded products at favorable prices, it is worth using the services of branded salons and participating in company promotions;
  • storage conditions and packaging. The dry adhesive concentrate is stored in a dry, ventilated area. Factors such as high humidity surroundings or damage to packaging indicate low quality products. You should not buy the mixture for laying gas silicate in bulk, as this is fraught with low quality of the material;
  • you should give preference to products from a manufacturer that produces both porous concrete blocks and masonry adhesive;
  • Before purchasing a mixture for laying gas silicate, it is necessary to calculate the material consumption.

The main parameter when calculating the solution consumption per 1 m³ of base is the thickness of the binder layer. If the layer thickness is no more than 3 mm per 1 m³ of surface, 8-9 kg of working composition is required.

Advantages and disadvantages

Adhesive for laying gas silicate blocks has high performance characteristics and is valued for its ease of use. Key advantages of the building material:

  • increased level of adhesion and excellent plasticity indicators;
  • resistance to moisture and low temperatures;
  • non-shrinking adhesive material and high setting speed.

The product is of interest due to its budget price and economical consumption. Although the universal dry concentrate costs twice as much as the classic one cement-sand mortar, the glue consumption for gas silicate blocks is 5 times less: the mass is applied with a minimum layer thickness not exceeding 2-3 mm. It also helps:

  • increasing the strength of the structure, since the minimum thickness of the seams ensures the solidity of the structure;
  • improving the thermal insulation of the building by reducing heat loss through the seams, since the effect of cold bridges is leveled.

In addition, thanks to minimum thickness seams, the laying of gas blocks turns out smooth and beautiful.

The presence of water-retaining components in the adhesive composition eliminates the formation of mold between aerated concrete blocks, which has a positive effect on the operational characteristics of the structure.

The disadvantages of adhesive for gas silicate include the requirement for the evenness of the treated surface and high prices on products, although due to the cost-effectiveness of consumption, the high cost of building materials is offset.

Types of mixtures for laying aerated concrete and application features

The market offers seasonal varieties of dry adhesive concentrates based on white and gray Portland cement, as well as compositions in foam format in cans:

  1. The white version of the building resource - summer adhesive for gas silicate - is intended for use in the warm season. The composition owes this color to the base of white portland cement. The attractive appearance of the bonding solution makes it in demand in internal works, which makes it possible to save on finishing.
  2. Gray glue is considered winter, although it is a universal mixture for laying aerated concrete in any season. The composition contains antifreeze additives and is intended for use at temperatures within a wide range of up to -10°C.

As experts note, for maximum effect Frost-resistant mortar is recommended to be used at temperatures ranging from +5°C to -15°C, this guarantees the absence of errors and cracks in the seams.

The process of drying masonry at elevated ambient temperatures is fraught with the risk of microcracks in the bonding layer, and as a result, the thermal conductivity characteristics of aerated concrete deteriorate.

Porous concrete blocks are known for their inertness to environmental temperature changes. Wherein important role plays the right technology applying the adhesive composition while strictly following the manufacturer's instructions.

  • a heated room should be used to store bags of dry concentrate;
  • the preparation of the solution is carried out in a warm room, the temperature of the water for diluting the dry mixture should not be lower than +20°C;
  • working solution temperature – not lower than +10°C;
  • ready solution Use as directed within half an hour.

Freezing of moisture is fraught with deterioration in the quality of the seam, so when winter work aerated concrete masonry should be covered with a tarpaulin.

Adhesive foam for gas silicate is an innovative solution in this segment. The construction resources market offers an adhesive composition for porous concrete blocks in the format of foam in cylinders, for application of which a special device in the form of a construction gun is used.

Technology for preparing a solution of adhesive mixture

The preparation of the working solution is carried out according to the instructions of the manufacturer of the dry concentrate. General steps and the principles of preparing the adhesive mixture include the following points:

  • To prepare the solution, use a container of the appropriate volume and a drill with a mixer;
  • measure out required amount dry mixture and water, as indicated in the manufacturer's instructions. As a rule, the proportions average 1:0.22, that is, 220 g of water are taken per 1 kg of dry concentrate;
  • the water temperature range for the solution is from +15 to +60°C;
  • Knead the mass until smooth, then allow the solution to settle for 10-15 minutes and mix thoroughly again.

The solution is mixed in portions in accordance with the intensity of work on laying aerated concrete. The service life of the working mixture is about 3-4 hours, but this figure may vary depending on the brand, operating conditions and other design factors. It is not allowed to add water to the finished solution, and the glue should be stirred periodically during the work process.

It is worth considering that the consumption of gas silicate glue depends on a number of factors, including:

  • block geometry and the presence of defects on the surface;
  • presence of reinforcing elements;
  • characteristics of the tool for applying the fastening composition;
  • temperature and concentration of the solution;
  • weather conditions and qualifications of the master.

The formula for the consumption of the adhesive solution looks like this: S = [(l+h)/l*h]*b 1.4, where:

  • S – consumption of 1 kg of mixture per 1 m³ of base;
  • l, h – length and height dimensions in m;
  • b – seam thickness in mm;
  • 1,4 – conditional meaning consumption of dry concentrate in kg/m² with a bonding layer thickness of 1 mm.

In order to achieve the highest quality construction of walls made of porous concrete, it is necessary to use adhesive mixtures taking into account their purpose: for internal or external work, for laying gas silicate under positive or negative temperatures environment. It is also worth paying attention to the setting speed of the working solution; this parameter varies from 5 to 25 minutes depending on the brand of product.

In this case, the minimum curing time for the adhesive base in a block structure is 24 hours, and the final result requires a period of at least three days after installation.
