So, given: there is a sewer pipe. Most often a boner; but options are possible. And there is a need to connect to it and use it for recycling Wastewater. What ways are there to do this?

We will consider cases correct installation sidebars and a case that can be resorted to in the absence of better alternatives.

The right way

Materials

Before embarking on military operations, you need to thoroughly prepare.

First, let's stock up on everything we need.

Psychological preparation

If we are talking about a riser, we punctually go around to all our upstairs neighbors, tearfully begging them not to use the sewer at the appointed time. We leave notes for those whom we cannot find at home.

Advice: at the same time, take care of a large basin and get ready to wash the contents of someone else’s toilet from the walls. Because, as many years of practice have shown, someone will definitely forget about your request.

On the warpath

First we need to clearly imagine what we want to do.

We will need to cut out a section of the riser (or other pipe), pull a tee on one side, and a compensating pipe on the other (upper, if we are talking about a riser), and then move the compensator, inserting its narrow part into the tee.

This understanding is necessary in order to cut exactly as much pipe as needed, and where needed. Have a clear idea of where each fitting will be located. The distance between the cuts will be equal to the length of the compensator.

And only after that go into battle.

  1. Cut out a section of the riser.
  2. Quickly remove the burrs with a file. They will be on both plastic and cast iron.
  3. We coat outside the pipe where the compensator will be, apply sealant directly near the cut.
  4. We pull the compensating pipe onto the pipe completely, so that there is room for putting on the tee.
  5. We coat the second pipe we cut with sealant and put the tee in place.
  6. We coat the narrow side of the compensator with sealant and place it on the pipe so that the narrow side fits tightly into the socket of the tee.
  7. We plug the tee with a previously stored plug or continue assembling the sewer from the tee.

Important: If the section of the riser at the top remains without fastening and is supported by one socket, do not be lazy to purchase a clamp for plastic sewer.

It will not allow the pipe to slide down and become disconnected from upper section boner

Wrong way

How to crash into sewer pipe, if it absolutely cannot be cut, and the insertion will be smaller in diameter than the main pipe? Let's say, you need to cut a drain with a diameter of 50 from a bathtub and bidet into a riser with a diameter of 110 millimeters?

The item we need is called a sewer insert. It is an overlay on a surface with a perpendicular outlet and a fastening system.

If we are talking about a horizontal pipe, we simply drill a hole of the appropriate diameter and fix our insert opposite it. From above or from the side - whichever is more convenient, the aromatic water splashing in the pipe is not a hindrance to us.

If we need to secretly damage the riser... There will be no secret. Once again, you will have to bow to your neighbors above. This will turn the boner pouring torrent into a small stream that will only slightly splash you during the work process.

Why is this method called stupid and plumbers, when they see such an insert in the riser, say a lot bad words not from Dahl's dictionary? Because this insertion method leaves protrusions and burrs inside the riser.

Inserting from above into a horizontal pipe is the only case when you will not be branded with disgrace for this method of connection

Any change, any protrusions, especially sharp ones, is a place that will collect all kinds of rags flying down, long hair, used hygiene products and other unappetizing things.

Hence the frequent blockages of the riser and leaks on your head from the neighbors’ toilet.

Conclusion

If possible, opt for the right way insets. If this is not possible, well, you have been warned... Good luck!

To connect to an existing sewer system another pipeline, you can use different methods. Tapping into the sewer will be performed differently depending on several factors that will be discussed in this article.

Insertion into a horizontal sewer pipe

This situation is the most common: another plumbing fixture must be connected to a pipeline made of a 50 mm plastic pipe. Perhaps the best answer to the question of how to cut into a sewer riser is to dismantle the sewer pipe and then connect the tee. Also, usually replacing a cast iron sewer with a plastic one involves tapping into the system.

The work execution algorithm will look like this:

  • first you need to disassemble the existing pipeline;
  • then the solid piece of pipe is cut into two parts, as a result of which the pipe should be shortened by the length of the tee minus the length of its sockets;
  • then the pipeline is assembled using rubber cuffs.

After all these steps, an additional entrance will appear in the sewer pipe through which you can connect any plumbing fixtures. It is advisable to use an oblique tee to implement this option, the use of which reduces the likelihood of blockages occurring inside the system.

The solution described above is not suitable for all situations: for example, if the pipe is permanent or cast iron, inserting into the sewer will be complicated in this case. This problem will have to be solved by drilling a hole in the pipeline, the dimensions of which will exactly correspond to the diameter of the pipe of the connected device.

To connect the plumbing outlet and the sewerage pipeline, you need to use a special fitting - an adapter that looks like a cap equipped with an outlet for the connected pipe. The adapter for tapping into the sewer is connected using clamps. You need to select an adapter based on the diameters of the pipes that will be involved in the connection.

When using the adapter, only one problem occurs important problem: The diameters of the connected pipes must differ by a factor of two. In addition, insertion into a pressure sewer through a horizontally located pipe can only be done from above or at an angle of 45 degrees, so that the connected pipeline does not interfere with the movement of wastewater.

Installation of the adapter and insertion into the central sewer using it are carried out as follows:
  • the sewer pipe is cleaned and dried to a width slightly larger than the width of the adapter;
  • Next, a hole of the appropriate diameter is drilled in the pipe. For a 50 mm pipe, the insertion diameter cannot exceed 22 mm, and insertion into a sewer riser using 110 mm pipes can only be carried out using 50 mm connected pipelines;
  • the fitting is sealed and attached to the sewer pipe with clamps (when performing this work, care must be taken not to deform the plastic);
  • you need to insert into the outer terminal of the adapter rubber compressor, after which you can connect any plumbing fixtures in this place.

Insertion into a sewer riser

You can make a tie-in in the case of a sewer riser using different methods, and before you make a tie-in into a sewer pipe, you need to figure out how to do it. A standard sewer riser is equipped with 110 mm plastic pipes. When connecting pipes to a central sewer with a diameter of less than 50 mm, you can use an adapter, but for other cases it will not be suitable. For example, if there are other apartments above the insertion point, then the protruding parts of the pipe can interfere with the downward movement of drains, as a result of which the system becomes contaminated, up to a complete stop of its operation.

If we take this aspect into account, then inserting a 50 mm pipe into the sewer riser will be carried out in exactly the same way as the connection was made using an adapter. The most important point V in this case is the choice of the insertion location to ensure a sufficient slope for the inserted pipeline.

Cutting into a cast iron sewer pipe with a diameter of 110 mm will be a much more complex undertaking, especially compared to cutting into a plastic sewer pipe. However, this problem is also being solved. To implement such a connection, you will need two fittings - a tee and a compensator. A tee is required for the connection itself.

When choosing a tee, you need to rely on the diameters of the pipes that need to be connected. A compensator is, in fact, a piece of pipe that has a variable diameter. The wide part of the compensator is put on the riser from its lower part. Next, the opposite part of the structure is installed in the tee, as a result of which the riser is reconnected.

To install these fittings for sewer pipes, you need to carry out accurate calculations. The most important indicator is the height at which the tee will be located. The outlet of this fitting must be at an appropriate level to ensure normal slope of the pipeline. It is also necessary to calculate what part of the riser will be in the socket of the tee, and find the bottom point at which the riser will be cut.

The upper mark also needs to be calculated. The cutout of the riser should be slightly longer than the length of the compensator so that the latter can be placed under the sewer riser. To find top level, it is enough to sum up the length of the compensator and the level of the lower mark.

Before starting the tapping, you need to complete the following work:

  1. Shut off the riser throughout the entire house.
  2. Prepare tools for performing work and cleaning after work.
  3. Clean and dry the riser in the area that will be repaired.
The sewerage connection itself into the existing network will be carried out according to the following principle:
  • first, part of the riser is cut off, observing the design points (it is advisable to file the edges);
  • the connection point of the compensator is treated with sealant;
  • then the compensator is put on;
  • now you need to cover the lower part of the riser with sealant;
  • at this stage the tee is installed (before installing it, you need to check whether there is a seal in the tee);
  • the lower part of the compensator is sealed;
  • now the compensator is installed in its place;
  • Next, you need to connect the pipelines or install a plug at the connection point;
  • At this point the work is completed, and the riser can be started again, after which all debris must be removed. The connection to the city sewer system has been completed.

Conclusion

Inserting an additional pipeline into a sewer pipe is not particularly difficult, but experience in construction is welcome. In some cases, it is worth using the services of specialists to avoid possible troubles that may arise due to unprofessional work.

Insertion into a sewer pipe is necessary when installing internal or external domestic sewerage for a new home, for drainage storm water to treatment facilities, connecting a new plumbing fixture (sink, dishwasher or washing machine). A skillfully executed insertion will help to avoid a radical replacement of elements of the existing sewer system.

Supply methods

Insertion into a sewer pipe new branch involves connecting an apartment or house to a local sewer system, to vertical risers or a horizontal bed. There are many ways to make eyeliner correctly and reliably. And the market building materials offers big choice all kinds of devices in the form of adapters. But for proper operation sewerage after insertion, you need to know what the simplest methods are to make an insertion into the sewerage system, without involving expensive specialists, but by performing all the plumbing work yourself.

Supply into a plastic pipeline

When starting to tap into a sewer pipe, you need to prepare for the fact that the work will be dirty, which means you will need to wear special clothing. Before starting the process, you need to understand that all horizontal lines must have a slope.

The amount of slope will depend on the diameter of the workpiece:

  • for diameter 50 mm optimal slope - 3,5%;
  • for 110 mm – 2%;
  • for 160 mm – 1%.

It is not recommended to make larger slopes (counter slopes), since silt deposits will settle on the inner walls, narrowing the clearance. It is more rational to cut into a horizontal pipeline from above, this way there will be fewer blockages and possible leaks during operation.

To insert a new wiring into an existing one, you need a pipe (a small section of pipe) and clamps that will play the role of fastening elements. After all have been purchased necessary details, you can begin work on inserting PVC sewer pipes.

Sequencing

Work must be performed in the following sequence:

  • Close the sewer outlet.
  • Drill a hole in the plastic wall for a new input.
  • Secure the pipe in this hole.
  • Insert a corrugated rubber seal inside the pipe.
  • Secure the joints with a clamp and tighten screw connection(included with the clamp).
  • Install a new sewer line into the outlet pipe.

You can buy a clamp ready-made, or you can make it yourself. For self-made you need to perform a number of actions:

  • Take a plastic blank equal in cross-section to the existing pipeline.
  • Cut a piece of it to the required length.
  • Saw lengthwise.
  • Drill a hole in one half equal in diameter to the new pipe.
  • Glue the outlet pipe into the gap.
  • Treat the joint with a hermetic compound.
  • Apply the clamp to the hole cut in the existing pipe (glue and seal).
  • Connect to the second component of the clamp.
  • Secure with wire.

Application of a tee

A tee is necessary to connect several additional sections to the main sewer. When inserting a new sewer outlet into sewer pipes, PVC tees are rarely used, since joining two plastic parts in this way is fraught with depressurization of the connection zones. Such adapters are more often used in the case of insertion into cast iron wiring.

When inserting into a sewer pipe using a tee, you need to perform the following steps:

  • Buy a straight tee.
  • Close the existing sewer.
  • Cut out the section of the cast iron pipe where the supply will be made.
  • Install the tee.
  • Insert the supplied systems into the holes of the tee (this must be done as deep as possible).

To secure the supplied wiring in the desired position, a special bracket is used. The main difficulty may be connecting the existing wiring to the tee if cast iron system old Old outlets are often located close to the floor and may be difficult to access due to tiles. It seems difficult to make a joint when the pipes fit tightly to the wall. All these reasons impair access to the attachment point.

Gaps and joints of connections are protected with sealant. Silicone fillers, epoxy resins, and special sealing tapes, which are now very popular, are considered high-quality sealing materials. Before sealing, the cast iron joint must be cleaned of grease, dirt, and old waterproofing, after which you can wrap the part of the existing wiring with the new tee with two layers of sealing tape.

Using the adapter

Adapter for plumbing work- this is a device that is intended for joining pipelines that do not have a convenient connection. The method of inserting into the sewer using an adapter is used when it is necessary to connect additional plumbing (for example, a washing machine), and it is not possible to disassemble or cut the existing pipeline.

Such a connection is only possible in a PVC sewer pipe, in which a hole is cut according to the size of the supplied branch. The adapter has the form of a cap with a tap for a connected input. The introduced pipeline must be much smaller in cross-section than the main one (at least 2 times). This requirement is a disadvantage, since it is necessary to have exactly this ratio of the main and supply wiring.

The procedure for inserting into a sewer pipe using an adapter:

  • Turn off the water.
  • Dry the pipeline.
  • Drill a hole equal to the diameter of the adapter (if the diameter of the existing pipeline is 50 mm, the hole for the adapter should be no more than 22 mm, with a cross-section of 110 mm, the inlet should be 50 mm in diameter).
  • Insert the adapter into the finished hole.
  • Cover the adapter with sealing material.
  • Secure with a clamp.
  • Insert the rubber seal (cuff) into the adapter outlet.
  • Install a new pipeline.

Input into the sewer plastic riser

When connecting sewer outlets to existing risers, you can purchase all the parts and elements necessary for the work at a plumbing store. The kit will include blanks the required section, connecting cuffs, rubber gaskets, clamps. But you need to know that when making a tie-in into a riser, additional system supply will act on it with increased load.

To embed a pipeline into a vertical sewer riser, you need to purchase a compensator. A pipeline compensator is a device that reduces harmful effects on materials, reducing loads on structures, preventing various negative impacts from pressure and vibration, thereby extending the working life of the sewer system.

To connect the liner to the sewer riser, you must have an adjustable socket on required quantity bends and homemade or ready-made clamps.

Having everything to complete the work, you can begin eyeliner:

  • Determine the cutting point.
  • Cut out part of the riser for the new pipeline.
  • Install the compensator and tee tightly into the upper part of the riser.
  • Treat all connecting seams with sealant.
  • Connect the necessary systems to the tee.
  • Attach the sewer riser to the wall using clamps as fastenings.

If you decide to install another sink, buy a new washing machine or dishwasher, you will most likely need to tap into the sewer pipe. There are many ways to do this, despite the fact that there is a large selection of all kinds of adapters on the construction market. We’ll talk about how to cut into a sewer pipe in the simplest way below.

Inserting into a sewer pipe using a tee

It is worth noting that when inserting into a plastic sewer pipe, I rarely use tees, because there is a high probability of depressurization of the system in the connection areas. Adapters are usually used when inserting into cast iron pipe sewerage.

To make a tie-in, you will need to perform a number of such actions:

  1. Buy directly the tee itself.
  2. Shut off the sewer system. People living in apartments at this stage are asking for upstairs neighbors certain time do not use sewer. But in any case, you should make sure to have several containers with you just in case.
  3. Make all measurements at the location where the tee is installed.
  4. Cutting out the part of the pipe that will be replaced with a tee. You can use a grinder, but you need to be prepared for the fact that in some places the disc may simply not reach required points circles. In such situations, it is not recommended to resort to completing the procedure with a hammer, because due to the fragility of cast iron, a large segment of cast iron may simply collapse. Therefore, in this case, it is better to use a hacksaw to finish the metal.
  5. Installation of a tee. First of all, the tee is put on the short part of the riser, while it is pulled to the side. After this, the more movable part of the pipe is taken in the same direction and put on the tee. Then they proceed to leveling the riser line, after which the pipes are inserted into the tee as deeply as possible. If the pipes need to be temporarily secured, this can be done using a bracket.
  6. Compound old pipe with a tee. The master will need some skills and patience to perform such an operation. This is because old pipes run very close to the floor or wall, and this greatly impairs access to the welding point.

It is worth noting that before making an insert into a cast iron sewer pipe, very precise markings are carried out at will. There is no point in calculating down to the millimeter, since all elements are joined using the welding method.

When inserting into fan pipe made of cast iron, for example, it would not be superfluous to mention that you need to use only high-quality sealants, since in the case of such work, even the most by professional craftsmen, when using untested sealants, areas with obvious leaks may form.

To create airtight joints, it is best to resort to the use of well-known silicone sealants or epoxy resins. Sealing tape is quite popular these days. It is very easy to operate - you just need to clean the connecting surfaces from dirt and grease and wrap the edge of the pipe in two layers of tape in a spiral without forming wrinkles. Agree that this is as simple as possible!

Speaking of crashing into a sewer plastic pipe, then in this case the installation of the tee will be much easier. This is explained by the fact that plastic pipes need to be connected with sockets, and not joint to joint. In other words, when inserting into a plastic pipe, welding will not be required; you can get by with special glue for such purposes.

Inserting into a riser without removing part of the pipe

To perform this task, you will need a connection, that is, a collapsible clamp (more details: " "). Its design should include one blind half, and the second should have a pipe, to which a little later you will need to connect a sewer pipe, which in turn will be connected to a new plumbing element.

The clamp is installed in the following sequence:

  1. First, water and sewerage are shut off.
  2. Holes are drilled in the pipe.
  3. Next, fix the clamp with the pipe on the plastic pipe. Often tightening occurs using a screw connection.
  4. Now a seal is inserted into the pipe; as a rule, such a lining on a sewer pipe is rubber, made in the form of a corrugation.
  1. On last stage The outlet pipe is inserted into the corrugation.

In order to spend as little money as possible for inserting into a plastic pipe, you can make a clamp yourself.

In this case, the sequence of manufacturing operations will be as follows:

  • Select a suitable plastic pipe - its internal cross-section must correspond to the external cross-section of the pipeline into which the insertion is made.
  • A piece of the required length is cut from the pipe - it should be 5-10 cm larger than the outer section of the new pipe.
  • Now this pipe needs to be cut lengthwise. One of the halves will serve as the outer back piece of the clamp.
  • The remaining half is drilled to obtain a hole with a cross-section equal to the outer diameter of the pipe being mounted.
  • Now you can glue the outlet pipe into the resulting gap.
  • The inside of the clamp must be treated with a sealing compound.
  • At the end of two constituent elements The clamp must be secured to the pipe.

Please note that for complete tightness and reliability of insertion into the sewerage system, it is recommended to use metal for fastening the edges of the halves band clamps. However, provided that the system does not high pressure, you can use regular electrical tape.

The last thing you need to do is drill a hole through the pipe in the pipe into which you are tapping required diameter. Make sure that the back wall of the pipe remains intact.

Method of inserting a drain pipe from a washing machine into the sewer

Very often, when purchasing a washing machine, it becomes necessary to connect it to the sewer system, and the pipes end up embedded in the walls. Moreover, this problem is inherent not only in old houses, but also in new buildings. In order not to waste time installing an additional inlet into the siphon, they often prefer to insert it into the sewer pipe.

The following tools will be useful during work:

  • drill and large drill bit;
  • clamp for fastening the outlet from the machine;
  • metal tapes;
  • FUM – tape or sealing fluoroplastic gasket.

The insertion process includes several sequential steps:

  1. To fix the metal strips on the outlet, install a special clamp. If you want to mount it on the wall, you will need holes in it.
  2. In this case it is inevitable bad smell, after all, this is a sewer pipe. To minimize it, you need to drain the water.
  3. Now you need to make a hole in the pipe, the diameter of which is slightly smaller than the cross-section of the outlet. If enough large drill you don't have one, the hole can be widened using circular movements. The main thing is that there is an even circle.
  4. The outlet pipe must be wrapped with FUM tape and inserted into the resulting hole in the pipe as tightly as possible. To ensure tightness, you can further wind the tapes until the desired result is achieved.
  5. At the last stage, you need to mark places in the wall for metal strips to secure the pipe. You will need to screw dowels into the holes to achieve a secure fastening.

Installing plumbing fixtures requires large material costs, but some work can be done independently. There are several ways to insert into a 110 mm sewer pipe that do not require the use of expensive equipment. The choice of method depends on the material from which the elements of the drainage system are made.

Insertion into a sewer pipe.

Reasons for tapping into the sewer system

Performance similar works required in the following cases:

  1. The need to connect a new plumbing fixture. Requires separate connection washing equipment, shower cabins, bidets. Instrument pipes cut into common system sewerage.
  2. Rearrangement in the kitchen or bathroom. Creating a new connection is required when moving plumbing fixtures to new locations.
  3. Installation of a new sewer riser, separation of the combined bathroom.
  4. Technological connection of a private building to centralized system drainage. The owner of the home must coordinate the work with water supply and sewerage organizations.

Preparatory stage

Introduction into a cast iron or plastic pipeline begins with choosing the insertion method and purchasing the necessary materials.

When purchasing components, consider the following:

  1. The area connected to plumbing fixtures should not have sharp bends. This eliminates the formation of persistent blockages and diverts different water flows. The pipe cut into the riser must form a right angle. This value in plumbing is 88 degrees.
  2. When selecting adapters, take into account the location of the toilet flush corrugation. It can lie straight or sloped. Connecting using the second method does not cause any difficulties. For a horizontal connection, you will have to purchase a terminal with an offset center.
  3. If work is carried out during the day, it must be coordinated with other residents of the apartment building.

Required tools and materials

Before starting to insert into the sewer riser, prepare the following tools and components:

  1. Grinder or hacksaw. The tools are used to cut pipes made from any materials. For PVC you will need a hacksaw, for metal - a circular saw with the corresponding disk.
  2. Core drills. To connect to a pipe with a cross-section of 110 mm, create a 5 cm hole. This action can be performed with polypropylene elements using crown attachments the right size. For making holes in metal pipes Expensive bimetallic tools are used. A cheaper way is to use a metal drill.
  3. Wrench. Required when installing an adapter connecting elements of different diameters.
  4. Sanding paper. When dissecting PVC pipes It is impossible to get smooth edges. If burrs remain in the cavity, the risk of blockage increases. Use a paint knife to clean the edges. sandpaper or file.
  5. Sealing compound. The material is used to ensure the strength of connections and easy insertion of pipes into adapters.

Methods of insertion into the system

To install a pipe into a sewer riser, two methods are used - connection with the installation of a tee or adapter.

Installing the adapter

This method helps make the connection without cutting the sewer line. A hole of the required diameter is formed in the selected location. A pipe is inserted into it, the body of which is secured with an adapter. The latter connects the outlet of the plumbing fixture to the general sewer system.

Tapping with a tee

To connect plumbing products to the sewer, standard tees, simple or transition couplings are used.

The work is carried out as follows:

  1. Measure the length of the area to be removed. In this case, the dimensions of the connecting parts and the depth of the mounting sockets are taken into account.
  2. Using a hacksaw or grinder, cut the pipe. The edges are cleaned until smooth cuts are obtained.
  3. Details are being processed silicone sealant and installed in the opening in the required order.

Insertion using a tee into a sewer pipe.

There are 2 options for connecting the outlet to the sewer system:

  1. The lower part of the tee is combined with the riser using a coupling and rubber gaskets. The upper part is fixed using a compensation piece. This method is most often used when inserting into a vertical pipeline.
  2. The outlet is inserted into the compensation part. The need to use a tee is eliminated. The pipe is placed at an acute angle. This makes it easy to integrate into horizontal sewer lines.

Insertion into a plastic pipe

To insert a bend into a plastic pipe, perform the following steps:

  1. Prepare a segment with an outlet of a suitable diameter.
  2. They make an overlay. The branch and the part placed on the pipe must cover the insertion point with a margin.
  3. Form a hole. The diameter must match the size of the outlet.
  4. The internal surfaces of the workpiece are treated with sealant. The composition is also applied to the areas to which the overlay will be connected.
  5. The workpiece is secured with clamps, pressing it tightly to the sewer line. When tightening, do not use excessive force. After drops of silicone appear from under the pad, work is stopped. Excess composition is removed with a clean rag.

The connection can be made using a tee or an overlay with a pipe. In the first case, it is necessary to remove a section of pipe in place of which connecting parts will be installed.

Using an adapter, you can install a bend whose diameter is 2 times smaller size sewer pipe. TO horizontal line The pipe is connected from above or at an angle of 45 degrees. The connected pipe should not interfere with the drainage of wastewater.

Insert into a horizontal pipe.

The insertion is done like this:

  1. The area to be inserted is washed and dried.
  2. A hole is made in the pipe corresponding to the diameter of the connected pipe. For an element with a diameter of 5 cm, this value is 2.2 cm, for a pipe 11 cm - 5 cm. A core drill is used to form a hole.
  3. The adapter is treated with sealant and secured with clamps. The fasteners must be tightened carefully, otherwise the plastic elements may be damaged.
  4. Insert into the adapter outlet rubber cuff and connecting pipe.

Insertion into a vertical riser

Before connecting the outlet to a plastic riser with a diameter of 110 mm, you need to prepare a container for collecting water.

During the insertion process the following actions are performed:

  1. Remove the clamps securing the riser to the wall. The pipe will have to be moved to the side.
  2. Cut out part of the riser using a hacksaw or grinder. The ends are cleaned grinder or a file. The upper part is inserted into the bucket, which helps to avoid accidents.
  3. The edges of the riser sections are processed silicone grease. The lower socket is equipped with an adapter used to connect the tee. If the latter was installed previously, new part inserted into an existing nest. In this case, a second coupling is not required.
  4. The upper branch of the tee is inserted into the compensator. The latter is moved upward until it is firmly fixed.
  5. A tee is inserted into the adapter, after lubricating its bends with sealant. The compensation coupling is moved downwards, providing rigid fixation.
  6. The riser is given a stable position, secured with clamps.

After installing the tee, the riser section is checked for leaks.
