As they say, if little things determine the consciousness of everyday life, then the washstand determines... I don’t know what. But it definitely makes life more convenient with him. I don’t have a stationary washbasin on my site, but the construction guys took theirs. So somehow I got ready and went shopping in search. I didn’t really like everything I saw on sale, which is why this article appeared here.

Method number 1: nail in cork

The simplest and most obvious, of course. Make a hole in the center of the lid from plastic bottle, insert the nail with the head inward, screw on the lid.

Problems: water leaks, the nail rusts. And besides, there is a problem common to all washbasins with a rod: while you press from below, water flows, but your hands are busy and you can’t wash them, and when you let go, your hands are freed and you can wash them, but the water no longer flows :).

Method number 2: hole in the cork

We make it in a bottle cap triangle side cutout. Then, by turning the lid, the water will flow out; by turning it back, the tap closes. Original and simple.

Problems? Read a funny story from one forum:

“I built a washstand from a 5-liter bottle according to the recipe described: you turn the lid slightly and a thin stream flows. The unit hung on the corner of the gazebo, dug a shallow hole below and poured a bucket and a half of ASG into it. Everything worked perfectly while I was busy putting the dacha in order. And then relatives began to arrive...

The mother was the first to come across: she wanted it to flow better and she turned it off more - the lid flies off, all the water goes down at once! I explain that you need to unscrew less. An hour later, the mother-in-law comes up to the washstand... Well, you understand. He explained the same thing, although not so calmly. And then the wife goes to wash her hands... and not once, but twice within an hour! Considering that the day is just beginning, and the water is imported and there is almost no water, my educational speech begins to resemble a motorcycle without a muffler.

And then the washbasin attracts the children's attention. Usually you can’t force them to wash their hands, but this is under a normal tap. Well, I make a special step for them from a large block of wood. Voila! Children unscrew the lid in the same way two times in a row! I can’t bring myself to scold children... The next day I go to the store and buy an ordinary 3-liter plastic washbasin. I hung it in the same place..."

Method number 3: tap in the neck of the bottle

Almost similar to the first two. We take the faucet from washing machine, for example, a couple of turns of electrical tape, and you're done.

Method number 4: faucet in a plastic container

Instead of a bottle, we simply take a five-liter plastic container, drill and cut a hole at the bottom, and insert a purchased faucet. Voila. All that's left is to come up with a drain :)

Method number 5: tap into a regular bucket

Whoever likes it. On the plus side, it’s easier to decorate a bucket (see video below).

Method No. 6: pin + cork + bottle

We make several holes in the cap of a large plastic bottle plus 1 in the center. Insert the pin into the center. We attach a handle to the bottom. Inside we insert a rubber plug attached to the pin. Kind of like a drain plug in a bathroom or a faucet from a chemist's heating pad.

Method number 7: “for advanced”

Take a 5 liter bottle. Cut a 10x8 cm hole in its bottom.

We take a steel rod 18 cm long and 5 mm in diameter. Using a hacksaw, we cut the upper end of the rod along the axis. We separate the ends of the rod with a screwdriver. At the opposite end we cut an M5 thread. On the rod we make two transverse cuts 1 mm deep at a distance of 65 mm from the end. We attach a washer and a fixing bracket made of wire with a diameter of 3 mm to the rod. We insert a pressure spring with a diameter of 10 mm into the bracket. Its height is 15 mm greater than the height of the bracket. We put a rubber gasket with a diameter of 10 mm on the rod up to the support washer. Place a rubber washer on the bottom. Drill a hole in the center of the lid. We assemble everything: we attach the bracket with the equipment to the roof with two self-tapping screws, and screw the cap from a tube of toothpaste onto the lower end of the rod. We cover the metal parts with enamel to prevent them from rusting, and place them in a tank to dry. All…

Method No. 8: washbasin from a kettle

What could be simpler? We hung the kettle, put a basin underneath - that’s all.

Video on making washbasins with your own hands

Method No. 9: designer washbasin made from buckets

A master class on creating a washbasin from a galvanized bucket and faucet, as well as a washbasin from a larger bucket, a colander and a siphon. The buckets are beautifully covered with film, so they called it a “designer washbasin for the dacha” :)

If you have a garden plot or dacha outside the city and no centralized water supply, then you have probably encountered the problem of how to wash your hands after working on the site. In this article we will discuss how to make a washbasin inexpensively and with your own hands.

Of course, it’s easier to buy a plastic or aluminum wall-mounted outdoor washbasin. But it’s still more fun to do it yourself, and it’s interesting for the kids.

Types of washbasins

Let's look at what designs of washbasins for summer cottages exist.

Wall-mounted washstand

The simplest washbasin for a summer house can be made from a plastic bottle. The beauty of this design is that it can be manufactured at virtually no cost, for a short time and you can hang it in any convenient place.

Homemade washbasin made from a plastic bottle easy to make. We cut off the bottom of the bottle, which we then use as a lid for our washbasin. We fix the bottle with the neck down.

Mounting can be at your discretion, you can attach to a rigid base Using a nail or self-tapping screw, you can first make holes in the bottom of the bottle and hang it with a cord directly on a branch of a tree.

Easy to use twisting the bottle cap, thereby regulating the flow of water. You can also make a hole in the cap for a two-gram syringe, so that it fits tightly into this hole. Remove the plunger from the syringe and cut the syringe itself about halfway.

Next, insert the plunger into the syringe and the syringe into the hole in the cap. When washing your hands, press the plunger and the water will flow. When you finish washing, pull the piston down and it will shut off the water. This the simplest option how to make a washbasin with your own hands.

Also, for wall-mounted washbasin models, old plastic or metal canisters, galvanized tin evaporations, old buckets and even pots. To do this, you need to insert a regular water tap into them and secure the container on a rigid base.

Washstand mounted on a stand

In this case, the dacha washbasin is mounted on stands specially made by you. A washbasin for the garden and dacha in this design is convenient in that it can be used at any time move it to a place convenient for you.

The stand is being manufactured from steel reinforcement . Usually this is a bent rod 180 degrees. In the upper curved part, a rod with ears is welded to secure the container.

In the lower part, the support strip and transverse stops are welded so that when entering the ground, the structure can withstand the weight of the water container. Usually up to thirty centimeters. This design is easy to carry, convenient and easy to use.

Country washbasin, moydodyr, do it yourself

This is a more complex design of a washbasin for a summer residence. The country version of such a washstand does not require special skills to make it. The material can be selected from what you have left after the renovation.

Perhaps there are several bars lying around at the dacha. Let's look at what building material we will need. Since moydodyr represents frame structure , we may need:

  • wooden beam;
  • plywood, plastic, polycarbonate, galvanized and so on;
  • filler tank with tap;
  • sink;

First, we need to take the dimensions of the sink and filler tank. Let's draw a simple drawing of the future moydodyr. The next step is to cut the bars under right size. Then connecting the frame parts each other according to our drawing.

Now you can take measurements for the material with which we will cover the frame of the washbasin. Now it’s time to secure the pre-cut material for the sheathing. We attach the filler tank and installing a sink.

Such a country washbasin has a large supply of water, which means that drainage needs to be done. To do this, you need to connect a piece of corrugation to the sink and move it to the side. This may be a specially dug hole. You can specially make drainage by filling the hole with crushed stone or expanded clay. In some cases, you can simply place a bucket under the sink to collect waste water. One way or another, the country washstand is ready.

How to make a washbasin with heated water

True luxury at summer cottage, this is when warm water comes out of the tap. This can be especially appreciated in early spring or late autumn when it's already cool. A do-it-yourself washbasin for a dacha, and even with heated water, is a real miracle. But this is also possible. A homemade washbasin from the designs listed above, such as a moydodyr, is suitable for this. Preferably with metal tank.

Of course, sometimes you can just pour warm water into a washstand or use a regular boiler to heat water. But some craftsmen it is recommended to install TEN for heating water, with thermostat.

It is necessary to select the TEN according to the volume of water in the bulk tank. If it is weak, you will have to wait a long time until the water heats up. The thermostat needs to be adjusted so that the water has a temperature that is comfortable for your needs.

Another thing that is important to pay attention to. Safety plays important role. Wires and connections must be isolated. And it is also necessary to make a water level sensor in the bulk tank. This can be a transparent tube with a colored ball that is lighter than water.

A summer cottage is always associated with something good and warm. A hand-made washbasin can simply benefit or decorate your country life. The work itself will bring satisfaction and joy from the fact that you did it with your own hands.

It doesn’t matter whether the country washbasin has a marble sink or is just knocked together wooden box with a hole for water drainage. It is important that you did it yourself. Once you have been able to make a moydodyr for your summer cottage yourself, it will not cost you anything to make a toy for your children.

How to make a moydodyr toy and a children's washbasin for the dacha

For this you will need carton boxes, self-adhesive, glue, markers and so on. First, we assemble the base, cabinet and top from the boxes, and glue them together.

Then paint with paints or we cover the cabinet and the sides of the upper part of the moydodyr with colored paper. Instead of a ceramic sink, you can simply cut out an oval from blue self-adhesive tape and glue it on top of the cabinet, you will get a sink of your own.

It is better to make the front part of the top white so that you can draw eyes and a spout in the form of a faucet on it. At the very top you can place a washcloth and a bowl made of cardboard, instead of a hat. Here you go toy children's sink for garden. The children are happy and you had an unforgettable time with the whole family.

Outdoor washbasins can be made with attractive appearance. On wooden base or metal. In any case, the goal is ease of use, as well as good exterior on garden plot. Of course, in some cases you can get by with a plastic bottle, but it’s still better to have a stationary washbasin that fits into the overall composition of the yard.

To do this, you need to select materials that will highlight the style of your garden plot. If you have more wood, use it in various variations. This could be the view wooden barrel or a wooden bucket. If you have more metal elements, then you can use wrought iron fragments in decorating an outdoor washbasin.

Whether you love simplicity in design or a masterpiece of art, it's all in your hands. Don't look at what your neighbors have done, be individual in your choices. Do what you want to see in your garden plot.

The dacha has long been a vacation spot for city residents. Here you can grow beautiful flowers and organic vegetables, as well as relax with company. Washbasins for the garden and cottage not only provide minimal comfort, but can also become an excellent decoration for the garden plot.

What types of garden washbasins are there?

Washbasins for the garden and cottage are street structures, in which there is no provision for connection to a water supply system and. All of them have a reservoir for storing water. They can be installed in any corner of the site.

The choice of outdoor washbasins on the market is very diverse. These are the simplest suspended structures, and real works of art designed by famous designers.

Do-it-yourself washbasin for a summer house

Garden washbasins can be:

  • hanging;
  • on the counter;
  • with a cabinet;
  • heated.

For those who want to show their individuality, making an outdoor washstand with your own hands is also not difficult. You will be able to show your imagination and find the most unexpected solutions.

Hanging washbasins

The most simple designs washbasins - hanging. They can be mounted anywhere, be it a wall, a tree, a fence, or just a stick dug into the ground. The main thing is to find a vertical surface where you can drive a nail or screw in a self-tapping screw.

Hanging washbasin

Portable washbasins are designed for small volumes, up to 5 liters. They are made of plastic. They come in oval, round or conical shape. Instead of a tap, there is a movable spout-shutter. They pressed it and water began to flow; when they released it, the water stopped. They are very easy to install - just hang them on a nail. Moreover, they are mobile; they can be moved to another place at any time without any effort.

There are also more advanced models of hanging washbasins. More voluminous plastic tank(per 10-15 l), often rectangular shape, has two lids for pouring water. The spout is equipped with a magnet and can be fixed for ease of use. Some models are equipped with a simple valve.

Galvanized washbasin

Another option for a wall-mounted washbasin is an oval tank made of galvanized steel with a tap. Outwardly, it certainly outperforms its plastic counterparts. But the service life of such a washbasin will be shorter, since steel rusts when exposed to water, and over time the tank will leak.

When using wall-mounted washbasins, water is usually drained into a supported bucket or other container.

Washbasins on counter

Sometimes, for convenience, you need to install a washbasin in a place where there are no supports (for example, in the middle of a vegetable garden). Great solution in this case there will be washbasins equipped with a metal stand.

Washbasin on counter

The stand is made of lightweight metal. Its design is simple: legs, bottom bar and a tripod. When you press the bar with your foot, under the influence of a person’s weight, the legs easily go deeper into the ground. The tank is installed on a tripod and, after pouring water into it, the washbasin can be used.

Due to their mobility, lightness and simplicity, such models are very convenient in remote areas. open areas, be it a potato field or a raspberry field.

Washbasins with cabinet

More advanced models are washbasins with a cabinet or sinks. They are equipped with a sink, a water tank with a tap, and a cabinet. The cabinet is made of wood, metal or plastic.

Washbasin with chipboard cabinet

This washbasin can be used both outdoors and indoors (for example, on country veranda). These models are no longer so mobile and are considered more stationary.

Advice. On the street, it is better to install a cabinet with a washbasin under a canopy, since the materials from which the cabinet is made may not withstand the effects of precipitation and temperature changes.

Depending on the model, moydodyrs are equipped with a mirror, soap dish, and towel hanger. Inside the cabinet, either buckets are installed to drain the water, or a corrugated pipe is used to drain the drain into. Tanks in moydodyrs are designed for a larger volume (up to 32 liters), which is also important for convenience.

The presence of a sink makes using the washbasin more comfortable. Here you can calmly wash fruits or dishes.

A washbasin with a plastic cabinet is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation

The design of washbasins with a cabinet can be different. Some models no longer only have functional value, but also become an integral element of garden decor.

Heated washbasin

IN summer heat Few people think about water temperature, but with the onset of autumn or simply on cool days, wash your face cold water it becomes uncomfortable. Manufacturers found a way out and developed washbasins with a built-in element for heating water.

A heated washbasin should be placed near electrical wiring.

These washbasins can be used both outdoors and indoors. country house, provided that there is a power supply. The tank is often made of translucent plastic, through which the remaining water level can be seen. Some high-tech models are equipped with a sensor that automatically heats the water to a certain temperature.

DIY garden washbasin

An owner with “golden hands” can make a washbasin for his dacha with his own hands. Even a child can do some options, but... a real master can create a design that will become his pride.

The simplest option is plastic five liter bottle, mounted on a support with the neck down. The bottom of the bottle needs to be cut off - water will be poured here. The water flow will be regulated by unscrewing the plug on the neck. Such a washbasin can be built in spartan conditions in an uninhabited area; this does not require special tools and starting materials.

Homemade washbasin from a plastic bottle

A more complicated option is a hanging tank made from a bucket. Any bucket will do – plastic, nylon, metal. For the tap, you need to drill a hole in the bottom of the container or on the side. A squeegee is installed in the hole, which is fixed with locknuts from the outer and inside. A crane is attached to the squeegee. The structure is ready. For convenience, you can install a sink under the container. These washbasins can be decorated to suit your taste. They will fit perfectly into the country style of decorating a summer cottage. Using the same principle, you can arrange Summer shower Location on.

If you want to make a washbasin with a cabinet with your own hands, then the flight of imagination can be limitless. Under the cabinet you can use:

  • old secretary desk
  • a stand from an old sewing machine,
  • dresser,
  • rare buffet, etc.

A decorated barrel looks very original as a cabinet.

Washbasin with drain to septic tank

The cabinet can be made from wooden blocks, and the design can be folding and portable.

Already used apartment options are usually used as sinks. Often they still look decent, but fashion dictates its own rules, and old shells are sent to the country. Aluminum or copper basins look impressive as sinks.

Any non-leakage container can serve as a tank:

  • bucket;
  • barrel;
  • old manual washing machine;
  • plastic canister.

Used water can be drained into a bucket under the sink. The drain can be improved by drain pipes to the dug hole at the end of the site.

Once you have decided on the materials, you can begin assembly.

  1. Attach the tap to the tank.
  2. Install and secure the tank to the support.
  3. Prepare a hole in the cabinet or countertop to match the size of the existing sink. If a basin is used, a drain hole will be sufficient.
  4. Place the cabinet firmly and secure the sink to it.
  5. Arrange for drainage of used water.
  6. Decorate the entire structure at your discretion.

Having a washbasin in your dacha or garden will make your stay there more comfortable. You can always wash your hands and freshly picked vegetables from the garden. If you take a creative approach to choosing a washbasin, it will simply perform its main function, but will also become the highlight of the entire summer cottage.

Washbasin for the garden and cottage: photo

Any owner of a summer cottage strives to organize the most convenient conditions on his estate. Especially city residents, accustomed to the comfort and benefits of civilization.

A dacha is a great place to relax, but don’t forget about garden work. Not all areas have running water, but the need for water does not disappear anywhere. An outdoor washbasin will help you cope with this task at your dacha.

There are currently many available on the market ready-made models, but you need to remember that only a hand-made washbasin will perform the functions you need.

In addition, this option is much more profitable in terms of savings. Let's look at several types of washbasins and how to make them for use in a summer cottage.

Manufacturing method and materials

The material is familiar to everyone - a 1.5 liter plastic bottle, suspended with the neck down. So that water flows only in right time you can do the following:

  • Screw the nail tightly into the cork, the head should be inside. This method is bad because rust appears on the nail due to constant humidity.
  • Attach a small tap to the bottle to supply water. In such a design, it is difficult to regulate the degree of opening of the tap, which entails the lid falling off.
  • In addition to the bottle, you can use a bucket, basin, or plastic container. It all depends on your goals and capabilities.

There are a number of more complex structures, requiring more time and sometimes costs.

Types of country washbasins

Before choosing a specific washbasin, consider the purpose for which it is needed. So, they meet following types washbasins:

  • suspension;
  • washbasin on counter;
  • washbasin with cabinet;
  • heated washbasin.

Each type can be either portable or installed in a designated area.

Suspension

Let's start from the very beginning simple option– a hand-made wall-mounted washbasin. It is a container of 3-5 liters, shaped like a barrel. Thanks to the fasteners, you can hang this washbasin on any suitable surface.

Water is poured manually, but it can be drained either directly to the ground or into a bucket. This sink is suitable for rinsing hands, but not for washing dishes, the reason is the small volume of liquid.

Washbasins of this type are also found in larger volumes, up to 18 liters. They are more convenient because they do not require constant replenishment of the container with water. Often such a washbasin is equipped with a valve tap. You can use the wall-hung washbasin both outdoors and indoors.

On the counter

A more complex option is a country washbasin on a counter. They are containers mounted on a “leg”. This option is convenient to move and install around the site.

Some designs have a baffle on the vanity support, making installation easier by pressing down on it with your foot. Those parts of the installation that are immersed in the ground must be insulated from moisture.

With cabinet

Next, we will consider the option with a cabinet, popularly called “moidodyr”. It is most convenient to use and place. This design can be installed on the terrace, inside the house, and outside. To build such a washbasin, you can use leftover building materials and any available equipment.

The main element is the sink; an old unnecessary sink can serve as its role. It is thanks to this element that it is convenient to carry out hygiene procedures, wash food and dirty dishes in the “Moidodyr”.

The frame of such a washbasin is usually covered with panels, plywood, boards or sheets. To prevent wood elements from being destroyed, they must be varnished. Additionally, you can place a hand-made dish dryer next to this design. You can assemble it from boards, also later covering them with varnish.

To drain water, everyone chooses the best option for themselves. The simplest one is a bucket to collect used water. You can also make the bottom of the cabinet from boards, between which there are small distances of about 1 cm. This way, used water can seep into the ground and ensure air circulation.

Heated

Well, the most complex, costly, but at the same time comfortable option is a heated washbasin. As a rule, it is an improved version of the previous version, but can also be located on a stand.

For heating, use a boiler or thermostat. The first option is the simplest and most budget-friendly, the second has some nuances. For example, power should be selected according to the volume of the tank.

If you invent a heated washbasin yourself, then do not forget to take care of the insulation of the wires and the mechanism for controlling the degree of water heating.

The article presented the main types of washstands in the country, their design and application features. Carefully familiarizing yourself with all the nuances and looking at photographs of country washbasins will help you make the right choice.

Photo of a country washbasin with your own hands

No matter how much the townspeople love to spend their summer free time in the country, no one wants to give up the benefits of civilization. And the presence of a washbasin is an elementary thing that is required for comfort. Despite the fact that similar country houses sold in finished form, many people prefer to do everything with their own hands. Moreover, designing a washbasin does not require any special technical knowledge or practical skills. And as a building material you can use the materials at hand, which can always be found on personal plot.

How to make a washbasin for a summer house from a plastic bottle with your own hands: step-by-step instructions and photos

When you urgently need a washbasin in your summer cottage, you should use the most in a simple way made from a large plastic bottle. Such a solution will last for some time until you build a more advanced and reliable design. The principle of operation of such washbasins is standard, regardless of the design - water for washing comes from plastic container, fixed in a vertical position on any support with the neck down.

The water supply hole can be modified in different ways

Universal manufacturing scheme plastic washbasin boils down to this:

  1. Pre-rinse the container to remove any remaining liquid. It is recommended to take a five-liter plastic drink bottle.
  2. Cut off the bottom completely or in half, leaving it to protect the water from debris.
  3. Hang the resulting container vertically so that the neck is pointing down. For fixation, use twine, wire or something of your choice.

At this point the process is almost complete. You can experiment with a water outlet (the neck of a bottle with a screw cap). What are the options:

  1. Let it be as it is. If you want to wash, slightly unscrew the lid until water flows out. To prevent it from being completely unscrewed by accident, you can make a small hole in its side. The downside is that it is not always possible to set the optimal jet.
  2. A hole is drilled in the center of the lid, where a nail is inserted so that the cap is inside the tank and cannot slip out. The device is activated by pressing on the tip of the nail and lifting it up. The disadvantage of this design is the rapid rusting of the nail, which is constantly in a humid environment. An alternative to a nail can be other available materials: a syringe, a faucet from a box of wine.
  3. They install a water tap in the bottle cap, which you can buy or use second-hand. Secure it with electrical tape.

Such structures do not look particularly aesthetically pleasing, but are convenient for rinsing your hands and face. However, washing dishes using them is problematic. This is due to the small volume and inconvenient drainage device.

Video: the process of making the simplest model of an outdoor washbasin

Improving your water drain is possible with a little effort and time. It is proposed to consider an option that uses the following components:

  • connector with valve for hoses (purchased at a gardening store);
  • marker or felt-tip pen;
  • plasticine;
  • waterproof glue;
  • five liter bottle.

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. First, disassemble the marker, since to work you will need its body without the insides, which you will remove. Now remove the rubber gasket located under the valve in the connector.

    Prepare the necessary materials and tools

  2. Using the obtained parts, proceed to modifying the valve, i.e., making it heavier. This is necessary so that the valve properly holds water in the washbasin. Extend it using a marker, after filling the tube with plasticine balls. Now lubricate the pin with glue and insert it into the hole in the felt-tip pen body. To make the valve fit into the tube easier, you can adjust it using wire cutters. Wait for the parts to set.
  3. Next, cut a hole in the bottle cap with the same diameter as the connector. Coat the thread of the connecting piece with glue and insert it into the lid.

    Lubricate the threads and insert into the cap

  4. Tighten the nut from the connector from the outside. Let the structure dry and install the modified valve in its original place in the connector. Also install the rubber seal in its original position.

    Insert valve

  5. Cut a circle in the bottom of the bottle where the water will be poured. To make it easier to fill the container, a funnel made from a plastic bottle of a smaller capacity is inserted on top. At the same time, it will serve as a lid.

    Making a water container from a plastic bottle

  6. To hang the washbasin from a tree or other stationary support, prepare 1.5 meters of twine. First tie it around the neck of the tank, then around the body itself. Secure the fastener with tape.

    Secure the rope fastening with tape

All that remains is to screw on the lid with the built-in valve and make sure that the system is working.

For ease of use, a connector for garden hoses with a release valve is mounted in the lid

How to build a garden washbasin from a canister: step-by-step instructions and photos

A washbasin made of plastic canister. Possible as storage tank use any other metal container(bucket, pan, basin). In addition, you will need an iron or plastic water tap.

It will take a minimum of time to make

The manufacturing technology of this model with an iron tap is as follows:

  1. On the side wall of the tank in the lower part (at a distance of 1.5–2 cm from the bottom), drill a hole for insertion of the required diameter.
  2. Insert the fitting (after unscrewing it and removing the clamping nut from one sealing rubber) so that the thread comes out. For strength, install a metal plate, then put on the previously removed seal and tighten the nut with a wrench. Additionally, you can coat all layers with sealant.
  3. Now screw the coupling to the fitting and tighten thoroughly.
  4. Connect the pipe.

If the faucet is plastic, then it is recommended to use hot glue to fix it. And in the case when both components are made of iron, then welding is acceptable.

To start using the washbasin fully, you should secure it in in the right place- on a wall, tree, special stand.

When installing a heating element inside the tank, a heated wash basin will come out. But then you will need an electrical connection.

To ensure drainage of flowing water from below, it is advisable to install a drain into a sewer, cesspool, or simply place a bucket. If the soil absorbs moisture well, then expanded clay, gravel or crushed stone can be poured underneath.

How to make a frame for a washbasin yourself: step-by-step instructions and photos

The container with the tap can be hung on any stationary vertical support that already exists on the plot, or you can make it yourself. By this we mean metal racks. The convenience of their use is that the washbasin will become mobile and can be moved and installed anywhere at your discretion. The design is equipped with a crossbar on legs, which serves as a kind of “pedal”. With its help, the procedure for rearranging the washbasin is simplified - just press on it with your foot. It is also important to create some protection for this structure from moisture, since the legs are pressed into the ground.

You can buy a water tank ready-made or build it yourself using the example of the previously discussed models. The extent to which the support is deepened into the ground will depend on the volume of the attached container. This must be taken into account.

The container can be purchased ready-made

To manufacture such a design, the following components will be required:

  • cut metal pipe diameter 6–7 mm;
  • water tap;
  • two rubber seals;
  • two nuts and washers each.

There should be at least two legs, located at a distance of 20–25 cm, for better stability of the structure. They stop at a length of no more than 1.5 meters, so that over time the racks do not deform under the weight of the water tank.

Sequence of work:

  1. Cut the iron rods to the required length in the amount of 2 pieces. On one edge, the cut should be at an angle so that the legs can be easily pressed into the ground.
  2. Prepare the jumpers in the same way - upper and lower. It is also necessary to make parts for support from below.
  3. Connect all the workpieces together by welding.

Here boards were used for cladding

If you don’t mind spending time and effort, you can start making a more solid design country washbasin with your own hands, called “Moidodyr”. It includes a cabinet and a separate area for placing a water tank. Building materials can be purchased or used those that are freely available on the site. The complementary elements are the sink and tank. Thrifty summer residents usually use a washbasin that was dismantled during repairs and make the cistern themselves. The model is universal, as it is suitable for installation outdoors and indoors.

A washbasin with a cabinet is a frame covered with sheet or panel material. It could be:

  • plywood;
  • Sheet steel;
  • plastic;
  • polycarbonate;
  • polymer panels.

It is quite possible to sheathe the frame with boards. Specifically for the frame you will need wooden blocks with a section of 50 by 80 mm, or a steel corner measuring 25x25 mm.

The frame consists of bars that are sheathed with sheet material

Sequence of further actions:

  1. Take accurate measurements of the sink and, based on them, calculate the dimensions of the cabinet base.
  2. Cut the blanks for the frame to the required dimensions: 8 pieces of the same length (to create the upper and lower square horizontally) and 4 vertical bars.
  3. Assemble the structure by knocking or welding, depending on the type of material.
  4. Sheath the frame facing material from all sides, with the exception of the front.
  5. Attach the doors to the front.
  6. On top, as a continuation of the rear wall, build a panel for attaching the tank.
