Making carved candles is a complex process that requires certain skills. To make a beautiful product, you must have artistic taste and talent. In addition, a good knowledge of the properties of paraffin is required in order to perform complex cutting of this material with a variety of tools. Having created several original candles, many start their own business in this area. Where to start?

We create blanks

Almost anyone can make carved candles at home. The whole creation process similar products can be divided into 5 stages. Some steps need to be done quickly as the paraffin hardens very quickly. How to make carved candles?

First you need to make the core of the future candle - a blank. To do this, use pure wax or paraffin. The workpiece must be made in the shape of a star. It can be five- or six-pointed. The height of the core should be approximately 30 centimeters. In general, everything depends on the preferences of the author and the desired result.

Preparing the baths

The next stage is the preparation of baths containing liquid paraffin of various shades. This will make the carved candles more original. The number of such baths depends on how many multi-colored layers the product should have. Each shade requires a separate container. Baths with liquid paraffin must be constantly heated so that the material does not harden. The temperature of the composition also matters. This indicator should be from 75 to 90°C. A very high temperature will allow you to apply a thin layer of paraffin, while a low temperature will allow you to apply a thicker layer. The complexity of the pattern on the cut depends on this. If paraffin was applied thin layers, then the candle will turn out more interesting and original.

Apply layers of paraffin

To make original carvings, you need to apply several layers of multi-colored paraffin. How to do it? It is necessary to immerse the workpiece alternately in baths with material of different shades. This process itself is simple. However, the master must feel the temperature of the composition and have dexterity.

The workpiece must be fixed on a wire and lowered one by one into each bath of paraffin. There is no need to rush at this stage. After each bath, you must wait a certain period of time for the material to harden. To speed up the process, you can carefully lower the workpiece into cold water. You should not wait for the paraffin to completely harden, as it will simply be impossible to cut the candle later. The main thing is that the paraffin attaches to the core.

Cutting process

Cut candles are difficult to make without certain skills. You may not get the perfect product the first time. After all, after baths with paraffin, there are only 15 minutes left to create beautiful drawing. The complexity of the process is that such a short period of time does not provide the opportunity to experiment and carefully work out the design.

To begin with, you can practice on plain candles. To do this, carefully heat the products using a hairdryer or microwave, and then apply the design. This will allow you not only to learn how to work quickly with the material, but also to feel the paraffin.

The carved candles are almost ready. All that remains is to level the bases so that ready product was more stable. It is also necessary to make a small indentation at the very top of the candle for the wick.

In conclusion

Carved candles are original decoration for anyone festive table. These products are perfect for gifts or souvenirs. The process of making such candles seems very complicated at first. However, after a few tries everything will start to work out. After some time, you can start your own business producing carved candles. Do not forget that such products are in considerable demand.

How a carved candle is born. Step-by-step instruction

You will need a base in the form of a 6-pointed star. A mixture of paraffin and stearin is poured into this base.

Stearin provides the candle with an even, bright burning

We take the base, frozen by the wick, out of the mold and tie it to a special hook.

By which we will hold this base and dip it into melted paraffin

A multi-colored candle is obtained by dipping the blank into hot liquid paraffin

To maintain the temperature, equipment in a water bath is used. Stir paraffin with wooden or bamboo sticks. To evenly distribute the dye in containers

Let's start dipping. One dive – one layer. The more layers, the wider the cut strip will be.

After each dive, be sure to immerse the future candle in water.

Cold water fixes a new layer of paraffin

In order for the colors to mix according to the pattern, they need to be separated by dipping in white. This will not be visible on the cut.

Light green – after dipping in green, immediately immerse in yellow

Dip the workpiece in different colors a few more times

The sizes of candles are different and so is the number of layers. It is necessary to accurately calculate how many times the workpiece will be immersed in paraffin

At some point during the dipping process, we cut grooves so that the candle does not turn into a smooth cylinder. With a special knife

When a certain volume is reached. They begin to cut the candle while it is still warm and soft

It can be cut and bent as you like

The master has about 10 minutes for the candle to be ready

First, cut off the bottom

Start cutting from bottom to top. Cut off the petal using a natural motion. Practice - get better

A series of curlicues. Cut and wrap

There is a certain set of basic elements that the master can combine as he wants. There is a traditional sequence determined in advance. In any case, the master decides for himself what the special candle will look like. Use a knife to cut out strips in the recess to twist into spirals or snails. Remove the candle from the crossbars. We put it on the table and special. the mold squeezes out a recess near the wick.

Varnished

The burning time of such a candle is approx. Anyone can learn candle making in 20 hours

Create a blank for future carving candles. It doesn't matter what you decide to use - pure wax or paraffin and what shape you want to give candles- star or cylinder shape.

Prepare fairly deep baths with melted wax. You will pour wax of a certain color into each bath. Make sure that the baths can be constantly heated or maintain a stable temperature. Optimal temperature The wax should be about 90 degrees. Practice feeling the temperature of the heated wax by touch, so as not to waste time measuring it later.

Remember that higher temperatures promote the formation of thinner layers. You can cast more of them and create complex drawing at the cut site. More low temperature will allow you, if necessary, to make thick layers, reduce their number and display a simple design.

Now, armed with basic knowledge, repeatedly immerse the workpiece of the future carving candles into containers with wax of the color you need. This procedure is quite simple, but requires agility. Attach the workpiece to a piece of wire and periodically lower it into vessels of different colors. Pause between two baths to allow the previous layer to dry. You can speed up the process - dip the workpiece in cold water after the next immersion in hot wax. Attention: do not wait for the previous layer to be carved candles completely frozen. This will result in you not being able to cut later. candles.

Move on to cutting candles. This is a major and short-term procedure. You will have about 15 minutes to complete the cutting efficiently and beautifully. candles. The problem is that you won’t have time to experiment with the design. Therefore, do not be discouraged under any circumstances if your first attempt at making an original carved candle fails. If you wish, practice your cutting skills on blanks that have not yet been painted. Just preheat them to a plastic state using a hairdryer or in the microwave. The main condition is not to overheat the wax.

Cut out a small little tub at the top candles, intended for the wick. Make an even cut on the base so that the candle rests firmly on a flat surface.

Technology for making transparent candles

Candles that are absolutely transparent, like water, can be obtained in the following way: 5 parts of colorless gelatin are dissolved in 20 parts of water, then 25 parts of glycerin are added and the mixture is heated until a clear solution is obtained.

To it add 2 parts of tannin, dissolved by heating 10 parts of glycerin. A cloudy solution is formed, but the turbidity disappears with further boiling of the mixture. The finished mass is poured into ordinary candle molds. These candles burn calmly and without any unpleasant odor.

To make thin candles, just make a wick and lower it into the molten mass. Then raise it, give time for the mass to harden on the wick and lower it again. And so several times until you receive required thickness candles.

Try to use original or unusual candle shapes. You can add various flavors to the wick.

Considering unusual shape and the appearance of these candles, it is easy to predict their commercial success. Try to release large batches for the New Year, batches on folklore themes with tourists in mind. Don’t forget restaurants and cafes that use candles for lighting or interior design; develop your own signature candle for each cafe. In this case, your success will be guaranteed.

How to make candles
After reading many articles on this topic, I realized that they all talk about how to melt wax, how to make a wick, how to cast, but none of them provide for home conditions and little money. That's why I developed my own system. Money costs are still needed here, but much lower.
1) To make a candle you need wax and a wick. Many people advise buying wax on the market and twisting the wick yourself from threads. I made such a wick, it burned out quickly and... whoever did it knows. There are also a lot of problems with wax. One of them is that it does not burn like paraffin, and if you pour wax into a bowl, where you leave it, then it does not go anywhere and the candle constantly goes out. My way is simpler. We buy a package of the cheapest regular paraffin candles (In my case, this is a package of 8 candles for 60 rubles at Ramstore). Carefully cut the candle parallel to the wick, so as not to touch the wick, but you can remove it. Thus, we get a whole good wick and paraffin for the candle.
2) Now we come to the second question - what to paint with? We've read a lot about herbal dyes, but they tend to catch fire. Chemical dyes smell bad. I suggest painting with wax crayons. Remember, when we were little, we drew with such crayons. In order to color a candle, cut a piece of chalk finely and place it together with paraffin in a melting container.
There is another way - when the paraffin is melted and removed from the heat, food coloring is added to it and quickly stirred. But they don’t produce black dyes, and since we mostly make black candles, due to their absence in stores, this is not suitable for us.
3) Let's talk about what to melt in and what form to use. My method is very cheap, but it requires some work. Melting - I do this in a corn can. You buy a jar that you have to open with a can opener and when you open it, you leave a gap so that it looks like a jar with a handle. You hold the jar by this lid, preferably with an oven mitt. Since we are working with paraffin, we need to melt it in a water bath (that is, the jar is immersed in a pan of water).
Form. I use the same cans of corn and peas, only small ones. Open the jar with an electric opener, as it has a straight cut. Make a hole in the bottom of the jar in the middle, you can punch it with an awl and a hammer, insert a wick into this hole and seal it with reverse side with tape. This way the wick is placed exactly in the middle of the candle. If you don’t have an electric opener, then we buy self-opening cans. When the can is open, it is noticeable that there is a thin border. What to do? We take the paper and, having rolled it into several layers, insert it in a circle into the jar. Thus, the finished candle is easier to remove.
Just in case, let me remind you - remove the paper wrapper from the cans to prevent spontaneous combustion.

More options for making candles...
Candles can serve an original gift for a holiday for loved ones and friends. Or a unique and fabulous decoration for your home. In any case, three different, and most importantly, simple recipes for making candles from Marat Ka will be useful to you.

For the job he needed:

Paraffin candles

Two pans

Electric stove

Inflatable ball

Withered roses

Sequins

Sunflower oil

Cotton thread for wick

Orange

Gold leaf

Scissors.

We got three different, original candles, which can be an excellent gift and decorate your home on any occasion, making it unique, fabulous and very cozy!

01. As a form for candles, you can use the most various items, for example an ordinary glass vase.

02. Pour some sunflower oil inside the vase. Take colorful sparkles and scatter them along the walls of the vase. The oil will keep the glitter on the walls, and the paraffin will not stick to the glass.

03. The next ingredient is slightly wilted roses. Arrange the flowers beautifully inside the vase, place the wick and fill it with melted paraffin, leave to dry. After the paraffin has dried, remove the candle from the vase. Is there a result!

01. Take a balloon and fill it with ice water.

02. Dip the filled ball into a pan with melted paraffin. You need to dip the ball until a sufficiently thick layer of paraffin is formed on it.

03. When the paraffin sticks, place the ball in a saucepan with cold water so that the paraffin cools down. Cut off the top of the ball, pour out the water and remove the ball.

04. The result is a form into which you can pour wax of any other shade or simply decorate it.

05. Decorate the form with gold leaf. To do this, you need to dip the mold in hot paraffin, and then stick pieces of gold onto the surface. It will turn out very beautiful.

01. Take several paraffin candles and grate them on a coarse grater.

02. Pour paraffin into a pan and place on the stove. It is best to melt paraffin in a water bath, stirring until completely dissolved.

03. While the paraffin is melting, prepare a mold for it. Cut off the top of the orange and carefully scoop out the inside using a tablespoon.

04. Now prepare the wick. Take a thin stick and tie a thread to it - the length of the thread determines the height of the form.

05. Place a stick with thread on the orange and fill the mold with melted paraffin. The candle is ready!

Most best gift- the one that you do yourself, investing your efforts, time, and invention. Do you think that creativity takes a lot of time and effort? Today we will talk about how to make a candle with your own hands quickly and easily. Yes and for decoration own home candles self made will come in handy.

Essentials

To make candles, first of all, you will need wax or paraffin, which can be purchased in specialized shops for artists and other bohemian audiences. “Cosmetic paraffin” sold in pharmacies will also work, but in extreme cases, you can take the simplest and cheapest white candles.

To make a wick, get a thick twisted thread (look for it in hardware stores) or do it even simpler - carefully pull the wick out of a candle.

You will need a sharp knife, metal or porcelain dishes for heating paraffin or wax, various beads, ribbons or any other decorative elements with which you will decorate ready-made candles. And finally, the most difficult thing is the casting mold.

For the first time, it is better to use improvised means. If you are not looking for easy ways, try making the mold yourself.

To make the mold you will need plasticine and plaster. Make a model of the future candle from plasticine (it can be a star, a Christmas tree, a flower, a fish - whatever you want) and fill it with plaster. When the plaster hardens, carefully cut out the plasticine filling - that’s all, the form is ready. If you're not used to it, it's quite difficult to work with shaped structures, so at first don't overthink it and don't try to make paraffin princesses right away.

In addition, you can use a glass vase or deep ashtray as a form, plastic jars from cosmetics, other containers The glass should first be lubricated with oil, otherwise the paraffin will remain on the walls of the vessel and the candle will be damaged. An alternative is a dried layer of soap.

Paraffin happiness

Paraffin candles are quite easy to make. To begin with, grate the material on a fine grater (or with a fine knife), put the resulting “shavings” in a metal or porcelain bowl and heat it in a water bath over low heat, stirring constantly. It is necessary to bring the paraffin to a homogeneous mass. By this point you should already have your mold and wick prepared. Pre-soak the future wick in a solution of sodium nitrate (you will have to do this two days earlier so that the wick has time to dry) or simply dip the thread in molten paraffin in advance and let it harden.

Make a hole at the bottom of the mold, pass the wick through it and tie a tight knot at the bottom so that there are no gaps left. Place a pencil on top of the form - tie the other end of the thread to it, pulling it tightly and fixing it in the center of the vessel. Then pour in paraffin and wait until the candle hardens. The wick can be made in another way: when you fill the mold, insert a long knitting needle in the middle - pull it out when everything is ready and insert the thread into the resulting hole.

On average, paraffin hardens within a few hours. To speed up the process, you can place the slightly cooled candle in the freezer (for 30-40 minutes). All you have to do after this is get rid of the form. Simple “cups”, as a rule, easily separate on their own (just pull the wick or shake the product well). If you made a shaped form from plaster or used original plastic vessels, you will have to carefully cut them sharp knife. That's all, all that remains is to decorate the gift with braid or silk ribbon, elegantly pack it and... enjoy the admiration of your girlfriends.

Colored candles are also quite easy to make. You will need a set of colored paraffin or dyes, such as food dyes. To create elegant black candles, use activated charcoal. If you want to get a “layered” colored candle, you will have to divide the existing paraffin into parts and “cook” it separately. Paraffin is also poured into the mold in parts, one color after another, while the previous layer should dry slightly.

You can make the candle flame itself multi-colored. To do this, the wick should be soaked in advance special composition and dry well. A pale blue light will be obtained when using the solution table salt, copper sulfate will give the flame a sea green color.

Another interesting solution is scented candles, to create which you just need to add a couple of drops of essential oil to melted paraffin. Just keep in mind that not all scents are good for these purposes. Lavender, vanilla and citrus will fill the room pleasant aroma, but such a popular rose oil, alas, will make your candle emit smoke.

Here's how to make candles with a pattern. Buy paper napkins with a print you like, separate all the “extra” layers of paper, leaving only the top one, and cut out the design along the contour. Place the resulting application on the simplest white candle, heat a regular spoon on the burner and carefully smooth the paper over the wax surface. Under the influence of high temperature, the design will be imprinted on the candle. The whole process will take about 15 minutes, after which you can clean up the mess and go with your guests with an original gift.

Handmade wax and carved candles

Carved candles are made using the technology of 16th century masters who worked in the Baroque style. Each candle is cut out by hand, this is what gives it a special charm and originality.
Handmade carved candles are made from plastic cosmetic paraffin. Each candle is unique!
When making carved candles, the pattern is cut out from the outside, and when burning, an extraordinary effect of the glow of an antique lantern is created. The fire is visible through the windows (the thinnest parts of the workpiece). This kind of carving is somewhat reminiscent of wood carving. These candles burn out from the inside, remaining intact on the outside. On average, a craftsman spends at least an hour making such a candle. Carved candles look more impressive large diameter.
There are no two identical candles in nature and there cannot be. A carved candle will, without exaggeration, be a wonderful gift for any occasion!

As you know, wax is a complex substance consisting of more than 300 components. Wax is secreted by special wax glands of worker bees. Bees use wax to build honeycombs, and honey is stored very well in these small hexagonal cells. A person obtains wax by distilling honey from the comb and melting the remaining empty wax. After this, the wax acquires the yellow-orange color familiar to many. Wax is a very stable substance; it can be stored for many decades without losing its qualities. The melting point of wax is about +60°C, the higher the quality of the wax, the higher the temperature. It is worth noting, just in case, that wax is soluble in various oils (fatty and essential), gasoline and turpentine. Wax does not dissolve at all in water, alcohol and glycerin.
At this point, you can finish the introductory part and move directly to practical recommendations.

Where can I get wax to make a candle? You can buy ready-made wax at beekeeping stores - it is usually sold in stick form. Eat Alternative option- use wax from food products beekeeping. That is, let’s say you buy honey in honeycombs, eat it, and don’t throw away the remaining chewed wax, but collect it - once you have collected a sufficient amount, you can melt and cast candles with your own hands. The same applies to the lining.

First, you should prepare the necessary equipment and consumables. We will need: wax, a metal vessel in which we will melt it, natural thread for the wick and a form in which the candle will actually harden.

It’s worth taking a closer look at the wicks. Choosing the right thread for the wick is an art, because it determines how the candle will burn. Firstly, the fiber must be natural - otherwise the wick will not burn, but melt. Light the thread, extinguish it and touch the remaining coal. If it is hard, it means it is synthetic. If the ash crumbles when touched, it means the thread is natural. Secondly, you need to choose the right thickness of the thread - according to the thickness of the candle. If the thread is too thin, the candle will “choke” with wax while burning and go out. If the thread is too thick, the wax will melt and burn faster than the wick, the wick will become longer and longer, it will bend, and this is a fire hazard.

As simplest form can serve for casting a candle plain paper, rolled into a tube required diameter. The inside of this paper tube needs to be soaked in vegetable oil so that the candle can then be easily pulled out. Cover one end of the tube with a paper circle (for example, using tape) - this will be the bottom of the mold. You need to attach one end of the wick thread to the center of the bottom of the mold (this can be done with a few drops of wax or paraffin dripping from the finished burning candle). Pull the other end of the wick inside the mold.

Having prepared all the components necessary for the candles, we proceed directly to production. Place the wax in a saucepan and place on low heat. We carefully make sure that it does not burn, but that the entire wax mass has melted. After this, remove the wax from the heat and begin casting.

We place the mold vertically and, holding the wick with one hand so that it is in the center of the mold, carefully pour the wax inside the mold. Next, you need to wait for the candle to cool (at room temperature) and only then release it from the mold.

The finished candle can be decorated with: metal thread, beads, chains, etc. - as much as your imagination allows. You can paint or paint the outside of the candle. The main condition is that the decorations must be non-flammable.

Handmade is gaining more and more popularity. Extravagant jewelry, paintings, toys, decorative elements, gifts - this is just a small part of what passionate craftsmen and amateurs create with their own hands. Today we will talk about how to make a candle at home.

This process does not require special skills or equipment. After reading our recommendations and detailed master classes, even beginners can begin this exciting process.

CREATING A CANDLE: WHERE TO START

Making your own candles is much easier than you might think. And the main advantage of such an activity is necessary materials easy to get. If you look hard enough, you can even find them in your home.

MATERIALS FOR HOMEMADE CANDLES

Wax, stearin or paraffin are best suited for the job. Moreover, it is better for beginners to start getting acquainted with the latter; it is the least demanding to use. You can buy paraffin at the store or use leftover old white candles.

WICK

It is best to use natural threads as a wick, ideally thick cotton ones. Do not try to use synthetics: such a wick will quickly burn and leave behind bad smell. To check if the thread is natural, simply set fire to its tip. If it melts, forming a hard ball at the end, you have synthetics.

If you have an unusual candle in mind and are thinking about how to make an original wick for it, then use colored floss threads. This is an excellent and natural material.

Remember important rule: the thicker the candle, the thicker the wick should be.

It's easy to make it yourself. To do this, prepare a solution: in a glass of water, dissolve 1 tablespoon of salt and 2 tablespoons boric acid. Soak cotton thread or floss in it for 12 hours. Then dry them and twist them into a rope or braid them.

If you find this process tedious, carefully remove the wick from your finished household candle and use it.

CANDLE Mold

First of all, decide on the configuration of the desired candle, and then try to find a hollow object of the same shape. You may find it useful:

Cardboard bags for milk and juices;
. plastic cups for yoghurts and desserts;
. egg shells;
. silicone baking molds;
. glass goblets, wine glasses, glasses and glasses;
. baby beads;
. shaped ice cream molds;
. tin and glass coffee jars;
. empty tin cans.

The only requirement is that the mold material must withstand heating up to 100°C.

Another interesting option- pour candles into beautiful transparent glasses. You won’t be able to get them, but they will look very stylish and unusual.

Sometimes scented candles are made in tangerine or orange peel. The fruit is first cut in half and the pulp is carefully removed. You can also use large shells or coconut shells.

DYES

A white candle is elegant but boring. Naturally, the question arises of how to color paraffin in order to obtain bright decorations interior

For lovers of candle making, the best and cheapest option is to take wax crayons for children's creativity. Want to get a special candle? Look for pearlescent crayons - your creation will be unique.

Do not try to use water-soluble gouache or watercolor - you will fail. The dye will inevitably settle to the bottom or fall out in flakes. The finished product will look very unpresentable.

Utensils for melting paraffin

In order to melt the paraffin, you will need a small saucepan for a steam bath and an iron bowl. Experienced craftsmen recommend heating paraffin in a steam bath, considering other methods, including the microwave, to be fire hazardous.

To begin with, we recommend that you also use this method, proven over the years: place a bowl of paraffin in a container of boiling water. If you plan to have a colored candle, add the chalk immediately and stir the melted mass several times to obtain a uniform color.

FLAVORS AND DECOR

Any available materials are suitable for decorating candles. First, decide on the topic of your work. Pebbles and shells will effectively complement candles in nautical style. For a New Year's theme, use beads, small cones, small decorative balls, ribbons and bows. Decorate Valentine's Day candles with hearts, sparkles, bows, dried flowers, coffee beans, etc.

It is best to scent homemade candles with essential oils, which can be purchased at your nearest pharmacy. Another option is to find vanilla cinnamon in your kitchen. You should add flavors to the melted paraffin at the very end, after coloring.

STEP-BY-STEP MASTER CLASSES

We bring to your attention a selection of accessible master classes that will help beginners learn basic techniques and techniques. If you already know how to create candles with your own hands, you can draw interesting ideas from them to implement in your creativity.

COFFEE CANDLE

Want to create a romantic mood? Light a coffee candle - its divine aroma will take away all worries, leaving only good mood and peace. This is especially pleasant in the rainy autumn or cold winter. This is also a great gift for any occasion or even no occasion.

To work you will need:
. paraffin;
. whole coffee beans;
. wick;
. two plastic cups different sizes;
. wick holder - a teaspoon, a wooden stick or a plastic coffee stirrer.

If you don’t find paraffin, take household candles, you can also get a wick from them.

Crush the paraffin into small pieces with a knife to speed up the melting process. If you took store-bought candles, carefully crush them with the blunt side of a knife so as not to damage the wick.

Place paraffin in glass jar and put it in a saucepan with warm water. Heat the water over low heat until the paraffin is completely melted in the jar - it should become transparent.

At this time, prepare the mold for pouring. To a larger a plastic cup, place the smaller one after filling it with water. There should be a fairly wide space between the walls of the cups. Pour coffee beans up to half the height between the walls.

Pour the melted paraffin into the mold to the level of the grains, wait about 10 minutes. Then pour the paraffin to the edge of the mold and let it harden completely. This will take about an hour.

Carefully pour the water out of the inner glass and remove it from the paraffin ring. Lower the wick into the workpiece so that it reaches the bottom of the glass. Tie its upper end to the holder and place it on top of the glass, centering the wick.

Pour melted paraffin into the middle of the candle. Place a few grains on top for decoration. Now you will have to wait 4-6 hours until the candle hardens completely.

Carefully remove the frozen candle from the glass. At the same time, it can be cut with scissors to facilitate manipulation.

If you want the grain to be better visible, blow the sides of the product with hot air from a hairdryer. The paraffin will melt and the surface will become embossed.

It turned out to be an excellent aroma candle, isn’t it? Do you want to make it even more romantic? We invite you to use the same technology to create heart-shaped candles that will become an unforgettable gift for your significant other for Valentine's Day or a birthday.

Watch a detailed video of creating a fragrant coffee candle and you will see that everything is even simpler than it seems at first glance.

COLORFUL CANDLES IN LAYERS

Spectacular multi-colored candles in a transparent glass will become the highlight of your interior. How to make them, see our master class, illustrated with step-by-step photos.

Materials

Before you make colored candles with your own hands, prepare:

Transparent wax;
wax crayons;
disposable paper cups;
glass cups;
wicks;
ice cream sticks;
aroma oils;
microwave oven;
grater

Step 1. Grate regular transparent wax and fill paper cups with the resulting material. They only need to be filled a quarter full with this material.

Step 2: Microwave the cup for 45 seconds. Get it out. Mix the wax with a wooden stick. It should melt completely; if this does not happen, place the glass in the oven for another 30 seconds.

Step 3. Place the wick in an empty glass cup. You can attach the other end to an ice cream stick and place it on the top of the cup. This will make it easier for you to continue working. Pour some wax into the glass and wait until it sets. Thus, the wick should be fixed in the center of the cup.

Step 4: Remove the paper wrapping from the wax crayons. Grate them and add desired color crayons into separate cups with wax. Add shavings of one pencil to a third of a glass of wax to get a fairly rich color.

Step 5. Place the glass of colored wax in the microwave for 2.5 minutes. Take it out and, stirring, add a few drops of your chosen aromatic oil. You don't have to do this, but with oil your candles will emit a pleasant aroma.

Step 6. While holding the wick, pour the first layer of colored wax into the glass. To obtain interesting pattern, tilt the cup at an angle and hold it in this position until the wax sets.

Step 7. In the same way, melt cups with wax of a different color and also, but at the opposite angle, pour them one by one into a glass cup. Fix the container in different positions each time until the wax sets.

Step 8. After forming a multi-colored candle, let the wax cool completely.

Bright and unusual candles are ready. You can use them for their intended purpose or give them to friends as souvenirs.

To work you will need:
. any dried flowers;
. 2 candles - for decoration and a regular one;
. tea spoon;
. tweezers;
. nail scissors;
. paraffin for final coating.

From the dried flowers you have available, create a composition that you want to bring to life.

Heat a teaspoon over a regular burning candle ( inside over the fire, because the spoon will turn a little black, and in order not to stain the candle, we will then carry out all manipulations with the other side of the spoon).

Place a dry flower on the candle to be decorated and gently stroke its petals outside spoons so that they melt to the paraffin and do not stick out. Thick stems may need to be ironed several times while heating the spoon.

Carefully trim off any excess stems that extend beyond the candle with scissors.

Glue the remaining elements in the same way, choosing the desired location for them. Make sure that the edges of the leaves and petals do not stick out.

All that remains is to consolidate the result. Melt the paraffin in a water bath and pour it into a container into which you can completely dip the decorated candle.

Holding the candle by the wick, immerse it in melted paraffin, place it on a flat surface and let cool. If the petals were not smoothed well and protruding ends remain visible, repeat this procedure again.

Such an elegant candle will conquer any heart and will not go unnoticed. Complement it with a beautiful candlestick and it will become a unique decoration for your home.

DECOUPAGE CANDLES WITH PAPER NAPLES

The desire to decorate a candle could come instantly, but there are no dried flowers at hand. In this case, you can get by with paper napkins. With their help you can easily decorate a candle for any holiday.

Choose a napkin with the pattern you want. Cut out the necessary elements from a napkin. Carefully remove the bottom two layers of paper from the resulting blanks. Further, the principle of operation is similar to decorating with dried flowers.

Place the prepared element on the candle and iron it with a hot spoon. Sand the cooled surface with the rough side of a regular kitchen sponge. There is no need to immerse the candle in melted paraffin with this method.

Your masterpiece is ready. Compose beautiful composition made from candles in New Year's style, fir branches and colored balls. It will bring a good mood and a festive atmosphere to your home.

Almost anyone can make carved candles at home. The entire process of creating such products can be divided into 5 stages.

If the paraffin was applied in thin layers, the candle will turn out more interesting and original.

To make original carved candles with your own hands, you need to apply several layers of multi-colored paraffin.

Cut candles are difficult to make without certain skills. You may not get the perfect product the first time. After all, after a paraffin bath, there are only 15 minutes left to create a beautiful drawing.

All that remains is to trim the bases so that the finished product is more stable. It is also necessary to make a small indentation at the very top of the candle for the wick.

Carved candles are an original decoration for any holiday table. These products are perfect for gifts or souvenirs. The process of making such candles seems very complicated at first. However, after a few tries everything will start to work out. After some time, you can start your own business producing carved candles. Do not forget that such products are in considerable demand.
