In an effort to undermine as much as possible the viability of the captured countries, the German fascists redrew the map of Europe. The Hitler Reich included Austria, the Sudetenland of Czechoslovakia, Silesia and the western regions of Poland (Pomerania, Poznan, Lodz, North Mazovia), the Belgian districts of Eupen and Malmedy, Luxembourg, French provinces Alsace and Lorraine.
