This type of famous grape wine gets its name from French province Champagne, where this drink was originally produced. Wine obtained as a result of natural fermentation grape juice special varieties and saturated with carbon dioxide as a result of secondary fermentation in hermetically sealed vessels, and is called champagne.
Champagne is classified according to sugar content (in percentage): brut (0.3), very dry (0.8), dry (3), semi-dry (5), semi-sweet (8), sweet (10). Dry champagne is most often used to open a festive feast. Semi-dry varieties are usually served with small game and chicken.
