First of all, you need to make a partition connecting the base and the tabletop. Its dimensions will be 71.5 cm (height) and 55 cm (width). Three rectangular blanks with dimensions 245 by 230 mm, 245 by 360 mm, 480 by 245 mm and 8 parts with parameters 6 by 19 cm.

Marking and installation of tongues

After making the blanks, we will begin the assembly process. By the way, coffee tables made of wood are especially popular not only because of their aesthetic appearance, but also because they are easier to assemble than tables made of plastic or, for example, glass.

First you will need to prepare holes for the tongues in the rectangular partition, and in the center of the base and table top. The distance between them should be 8-10 cm. Then, at a height of 36 and 48 cm, on the partition, you need to make two holes to attach two semicircular shelves to it. For correct marking we use our drawings with dimensions.

Then we install the tongues and assemble the table, while visually assessing the evenness of the resulting structure. Having made sure that the structure is assembled smoothly, we disassemble it and make holes for the tongues in rectangular blanks with dimensions of 36.48 and 23 cm. After this, we proceed to final assembly.

Now let's look at how to do final assembly. To properly complete the manufacture of our product, assembly must be done in the following order: base, central and lower partitions, semicircular shelves, upper partitions and tabletop.

We assemble using wooden hammer. We coat the tongues with glue to ensure a strong connection. We make an octagonal shape from rectangular blanks. To do this, we make cuts at the ends at an angle of 67 degrees and also connect them with glue. We glue the resulting octahedron to the base of the table from the reverse side, thus creating a kind of plinth.

If we make a coffee table with our own hands, then we need to know that the assembly process ends with the installation of wheels. We fasten them with screws to the base so that when the table moves they do not touch the base. This completes the assembly of the table.
