Greetings, comrades! Today we are going to learn how to tie up a gas boiler: what elements the tie-down should include, where to place them and how to install them correctly. I will analyze several of the most popular schemes for different systems heating and water supply.

Scenarios

We have to look at the following scenarios:

  • Wall-mounted single-circuit boiler with electronic ignition in a radiator system with forced circulation;
  • Non-volatile wall-mounted or any floor-standing boiler in the same heating system;
  • Non-volatile boiler in an open circuit with natural circulation;
  • Modification of heating systems for heated floors with their low coolant temperature;

  • Connection to a single-circuit boiler hot water supply systems;
  • Connecting a double-circuit boiler to heating and hot water systems;
  • Creation of a DHW circuit with water recirculation. The constant movement of water in the pipes allows you to keep heated towel rails connected to the hot water supply hot and ensures an extremely fast supply of hot water to the mixers.

If there is a long DHW distribution without recirculation, the water has to be drained for a long time before it is heated. This is not only inconvenient, but also expensive.

Strapping elements

What elements can be included in the heating boiler piping?

Image Name and functions
Diaphragm expansion tank. Its task is to compensate for the increase in the volume of water or antifreeze in a closed heating circuit during heating. The tank is divided in half by an elastic membrane, and part of its volume is filled with air (or nitrogen, which protects the walls from corrosion).

As the volume of coolant increases, the gas is compressed and the pressure in the circuit increases slightly. As a rule, the volume of the tank is taken equal to 10% of the amount of coolant.

That, in turn, can be roughly estimated as 15 liters per kilowatt of heating boiler power.

Safety valve. Its function is to release excess coolant in the event of a dangerous increase in pressure in the circuit, preventing rupture of pipes or batteries.

Water is discharged through drainage tube into the sewer. Frequent operation of the valve indicates insufficient volume of the expansion tank.

Air vent. It serves to automatically release air pockets remaining in the circuit after draining the coolant into the atmosphere.

Air creates hydraulic noise and interferes with normal circulation at low hydraulic pressure.

Pressure gauge needed to control the operating pressure in the circuit. Sometimes a thermomanometer is used instead, showing pressure and temperature.

The instrument scale must be marked at least up to 4 atmospheres (bar, kgf/cm2).

Open expansion tank performs the functions of the expansion tank itself, the air vent and safety valve in open (that is, working without overpressure) heating system.

The tank communicates with the atmosphere and is often connected by a tap to the cold water system to recharge the circuit.

Boiler indirect heating - heat-insulated tank with a heat exchanger for preparing hot water. The heat source is water or antifreeze from the heating system circulating through a heat exchanger.

Circulation pump ensures forced circulation of coolant through the heating circuit. The main characteristics of the pump are the pressure it creates and productivity.

The power consumption of modern pumps is 50-200 watts and can be adjusted, which allows you to reduce or increase the speed of the coolant.

Hydroarrow - a container with pipes for connecting several heating circuits, combining supply and return pipelines.

The hydraulic arrow allows you to connect circuits with different temperatures and circulation speed, reducing their mutual influence to a minimum.

Filter rough cleaning - a settling tank with a filter mesh for purifying water from large contaminants (primarily sand and scale). The filter protects thin heat exchanger tubes from clogging gas boiler.

Two- and three-pass thermostatic mixers provide coolant recirculation, allowing you to create an additional circuit with a lower temperature compared to the main circuit.

The mixer valve is controlled by a thermal head - a device that changes the position of the valve depending on the temperature of the sensing element.

Pipes

What pipes can be used to connect a gas boiler to the heating system and for distributing coolant?

Let's turn to common sense. All parameters of a properly designed autonomous heating system absolutely stable and under the control of the owner:

  • Temperature in convection circuits (with radiators or convectors) the temperature does not exceed 75-80 °C, and heated floors even heat up to 25-35 °C;

  • Pressure stays within 1 - 2.5 kgf/cm2.

When the circulation pump is stopped, overheating and boiling of the coolant are completely eliminated: the boiler thermostat will extinguish the burner within a few seconds.

Conclusion: to connect the boiler and heating distribution, you can use polymer and metal-polymer, the price of which is several times lower than expensive and durable copper, galvanized and of stainless steel.

  • Serial wiring radiators and boiler connections are usually made with metal-plastic on press fittings or polypropylene with aluminum reinforcement;

Threaded fittings for metal-plastic are sensitive to the quality of installation and, when the o-rings are displaced, they leak after several heating-cooling cycles. Polypropylene without reinforcement or with glass fiber reinforcement has excessive high coefficient elongation: when heated by 50 °C, for each meter of pipe, 6.5 and 3.1 mm will be added to its length, respectively. Therefore, it is better to avoid using them for heating.

  • For beam distribution or heated floor the same metal-plastic is used on press fittings, PE-X pipes(cross-linked polyethylene) or PE-RT (thermally modified polyethylene).

Scheme

Electronic ignition, radiators, forced circulation

The most simple circuit, allowing installation of the boiler... without piping.

How? Everything is very simple. The vast majority of boilers with electronic ignition include:

  • Pump;

  • Expansion tank;
  • Automatic air vent;
  • Valve set to a pressure of 2.5 kgf/cm2.

All piping elements are placed in the housing, which turns the device into a full-fledged mini-boiler room.

At the owner's request, the following can be installed in front of the boiler:

  1. Filter- on the inlet pipe;

The filter protects the heat exchanger from debris, but increases the hydraulic resistance of the circuit, reducing the circulation speed and creating additional load on the pump.

  1. Ball Valves- at the entrance and exit. They will allow you to dismantle the heat exchanger or the entire boiler without completely resetting the heating circuit.

Piezo ignition or floor-mounted design, radiators, forced circulation

Boilers with piezo ignition and floor-standing appliances are not mini-boiler rooms, but just heating devices that require the installation of external piping.

Elements:

  • Pump. Its productivity is selected according to the formula Q = 0.86R/Dt, where Q is productivity in cubic meters per hour, R is thermal power boiler or a separate circuit served by a pump, Dt is the temperature difference between supply and return.

Tip: convection heating systems with gas boilers operate at Dt=20°C (75-80 in the supply and 55-60 in the return pipeline).

So, with a boiler power of 36 kW, a reasonable minimum pump performance is 0.86 * 36/20 = 1.548 m3/h.

  • Diaphragm expansion tank;
  • Safety valve;
  • Automatic air vent;
  • Pressure gauge.

Location: The safety group is placed at the boiler outlet, where the temperature and pressure are maximum. Pump - in front of the boiler, at point c minimum temperature coolant (reducing it will increase the life of the impeller and rubber sealing gaskets). Expansion tank - at any point in the circuit.

The expansion tank can be mounted no closer than two filling diameters to the impeller when installed in front of the pump and no closer than eight diameters when installed after the pump. Moving away from the impeller will not allow the turbulence that occurs during its rotation to create constant pressure surges that reduce the life of the tank membrane.

To protect against the formation of condensation, a small circulation circuit parallel to the main one is often mounted on the heat exchanger. At a low heating return temperature, it is diluted with hotter coolant entering through the mixing unit from the supply bottling.

Piezo ignition, natural circulation

What does it look like to piping a gas heating boiler with your own hands if open system heating with natural circulation?

Such a system is completely energy independent and operates at atmospheric pressure.

Elements: All functions of the safety group are performed by an open expansion tank. It is useful to equip the bottling in front of the boiler heat exchanger with a drain to completely drain the water into the sewer or drainage well. A reset will be needed when leaving for a long time or when the gas is turned off and will prevent the system from defrosting.

Location:

  • The tank is installed at the top point of the circuit;
  • In front of it, immediately after the boiler, the bottling rises vertically or at a slight angle to the vertical. The so-called acceleration section allows the water heated in the heat exchanger to rise to the upper point of the supply bottling, from where it returns by gravity to the boiler;
  • The filling after the tank is laid with a constant slope. The slope ensures that the cooling coolant moves by gravity and allows air bubbles to float to the expansion tank;

  • The boiler is lowered as low as possible - into the pit, ground floor or basement. The height difference between its heat exchanger and heating devices creates hydraulic pressure that sets the water in the circuit in motion.

A couple of subtleties of installing a gravity heating system:

  • Filling inner diameter must be at least 32 mm (for a plastic or metal-plastic pipe this corresponds to an outer diameter of 40 mm). The large cross-section compensates for the minimum hydraulic pressure driving the coolant;
  • The gravity system can be equipped with a pump without losing its energy independence. The pump does not break the bottling, but cuts parallel to it; mounted between the taps check valve(exclusively ball valve with minimal hydraulic resistance) or ball valve. When the pump stops, the bypass is closed and the circuit continues to operate with natural circulation.

Warm floor

It can be connected in several ways.

Hydroarrow

The hydraulic arrow is a common element of two circuits:

  1. In the first, the coolant circulates between it and the boiler heat exchanger;
  2. The second connects the hydraulic arrow to one or more heating circuits with different temperatures.

How it works?

  • From different terminals of the vertical hydraulic arrow you can select water with different temperatures: it will be hot at the top, cold at the bottom;
  • By taking water from the upper pair of pipes, you can connect convection heating; the lower pair is used for the intra-field circuit;
  • Below the level of connection of the return pipeline of the circuit connecting the hydraulic arrow to the boiler, the temperature of the coolant can drop noticeably below the return temperature.

Recycling

Parallel to the main contour radiator heating or a small circuit between the boiler and the hydraulic switch, a low-temperature circuit with a bypass and a three-way thermostatic valve is formed.

The circulation pump causes water to continuously circulate through the underfloor heating pipes; new portions of the hot coolant are taken from the supply by a three-way mixer only when the return of the heated floor is cooled below the set temperature.

Instead of a three-way mixer, a regular one can be used thermostatic valve with a remote temperature sensor (capillary or electric thermocouple). The sensor is placed in a pocket on the return line of the heated floor. The valve opens when the coolant temperature drops below a threshold level.

Serial connection with radiators

This is only possible when using a condensing gas boiler: classic boilers cannot operate with a return temperature colder than 55 degrees, since cooling the heat exchanger leads to precipitation on it. Gas combustion products contain, in addition to water and carbon dioxide, aggressive acids that quickly destroy a steel or copper heat exchanger.

A condensing boiler has a different operating scheme: combustion products are deliberately condensed on a separate stainless steel heat exchanger (economizer), releasing additional heat and increasing the efficiency of the device. That is why a return temperature of 30-40 °C is not just acceptable; she happens to be prerequisite normal operation of the device.

The heating system includes two series-connected circuits - radiator and underfloor heating. The return of the first of them is used as the feed of the second.

Single circuit, DHW

What should be the piping of a wall-mounted gas boiler that allows it to power the hot water supply system?

Elements: in addition to the safety group, pump and expansion tank, the piping includes an indirect heating boiler. The coolant from the heating circuit serves as a heat source for heating water.

Scheme:

  1. Two coolant circulation circuits are formed - a large one (through the heating system) and a small one (through the boiler). Each circuit is equipped with shut-off valves and can be turned off independently of the other;

  1. The boiler breaks the supply bottling. Immediately after its insertion, a bypass with a tap on it is installed between the supply and return. In the summer, when the heating is turned off, the coolant circulates through the indirect heating boiler and then through the bypass.

Two circuits, DHW

What should be the piping diagram for a double-circuit gas boiler?

Let's start with the basics. The double-circuit boiler is equipped with two heat exchangers - for heating and domestic hot water. Both heat exchangers are flow-through and controlled by thermostats.

From a practical point of view, this means that the DHW heat exchanger begins to heat water only when it flows through the tap. There is no need to worry about overheating and uncontrolled pressure growth; An expansion tank and a safety group for hot water supply are not needed.

The cold water supply pipe is connected to the inlet pipe of the water supply heat exchanger, and the hot water supply is connected to the outlet pipe, distributing it through the mixers.

Hot water circuit elements:

  • Filter for rough water purification at the inlet to the DHW heat exchanger;
  • Ball valves at the inlet and outlet of the heat exchanger.

Heating circuit elements: the same as those used for a single-circuit boiler.

Installing a small expansion tank for hot water is practiced when distributing hot water metal pipes. All types polymer pipes due to the elasticity of the walls, they perfectly compensate slight expansion water when heating.

DHW with recirculation

How to organize water circulation in a hot water supply system?

Elements:

  • Hot water supply forming a closed circuit;

IN apartment buildings risers in hot water supply systems with continuous circulation are combined in 2-4 pieces by jumpers on top floor or attic. Heated towel rails are installed in the gap of the riser.

  • Circulation pump at any point in the supply line.

Peculiarities:

  • Both a double-circuit and single-circuit boiler with an indirect heating boiler can be used as a source of hot water;

  • To reduce heat loss, hot water supply lines are thermally insulated with foamed polyethylene (energoflex) or any other insulation.

Conclusion

I hope that I was able to suggest to the reader solutions to all the problems that may arise when installing a gas boiler. As usual, the video in this article will bring to your attention Additional materials. I look forward to your additions and comments. Good luck, comrades!

The tasks and purpose of boilers are clear to everyone. This is literally the “heart” of the entire heating system, without which the coolant simply will not warm up to required temperature and provide comfortable conditions accommodation. But in order for all the component elements of the unit to function fully, the heating boiler must be properly piping with polypropylene, diagrams and photos of which will be presented in this article.

Purpose of the strapping

The initial task for which heating boiler connection diagrams were developed was to protect all components of the heating unit from overheating and, accordingly, from breakdown. This ensures that all key operational characteristics of the heating apparatus are met.

Various circuit examples

The boiler piping, to put it quite simply, is everything that is located between the boiler/stove and the radiators. The functionality of the entire system and the rational use of finances depend on how correctly and in accordance with technical recommendations it is carried out. Important! A properly selected and implemented connection diagram for a heating boiler makes even a low-power unit work more efficiently, maximizing its energy resource to the heating main.

But it is even more profitable to wire the heating boiler yourself, because there is no need to resort to the help of specialized companies that provide similar services. Of course, if you do not have certain skills in this area of activity and are afraid that you will not be able to cope with the implementation of the task on your own, then it is still better to entrust the connection of the heating boiler. Believe me, sometimes it makes sense to overpay, because not everyone can assemble such a large thermal unit with their own hands without making mistakes, which can subsequently lead to a decrease in the quality of the equipment and its breakdown.

Classic version

Classic strapping pattern

Properly performed gas or solid fuel boiler is a guarantee of efficient operation of the entire heating unit. In this process, it is necessary to pay special attention to such a moment as adjustment temperature regime at the entrance and exit thermal circuit. Thanks to this, it is possible to reduce the temperature difference to a minimum, which, in turn, results in the use of a minimum amount of fuel, and, as a result, a reduction in financial costs for their purchase.

First, until the water in the system reaches the required temperature, the coolant will be moved along an auxiliary line. After the temperature of the coolant corresponds to the value set by the thermostat, it will go into the main pipeline, through which the room will be heated.

Complete set of strapping diagram

What's included

Almost any boiler piping scheme involves the use of the following structural components:

  • bypass valve;
  • centrifugal pumping unit(circulation pump);
  • valves of various configurations and purposes (drain, ball, etc.);
  • expansion tank;
  • a device for monitoring pressure in the system;
  • pass filter;
  • tees, connections, couplings, clamps;
  • washers, nuts, bolts;
  • valve set;
  • or an automatic valve for bleeding air or a heating circuit.

In addition, you will need another set wrenches And welding machine, which, in the absence of one, can be easily rented at a hardware store.

Using a wall-mounted boiler

Components that are connected to a wall-mounted gas heating boiler must be lined up in a piping diagram. You can connect nodes on your own using three methods:

  • hot water supply;
  • floor hidden heating installation;
  • running a heating circuit around the perimeter of the entire house.

If you are planning to equip your home with a single-circuit heating unit, then coping with the task will not be so difficult.

When piping the boiler with your own hands, you must strictly follow the diagram offered by the manufacturer of this device. Otherwise, even minor flaws made during the installation of the heating main can reduce the efficiency of the entire installation as a whole or, even worse, lead to a malfunction of the heating unit!

The piping scheme of a double-circuit heating boiler deserves special attention, since it can be either direct or mixing. The first option is characterized by temperature control via a burner, while in the second option, not only a burner is used for these purposes, but also a mixer with a tracking drive. And if you are far from all these subtleties, then it is better to entrust the process of constructing such a unit to professionals.

What are emergency harnesses and what is their purpose?

Regardless of which heating boiler connection option you choose to equip your home, any of them should be in mandatory supplemented with an emergency circuit. It is thanks to the additional piping that your heating unit and the entire system as a whole will be able to fully function in the event that unforeseen emergency situations arise. As a rule, most often boilers stop working due to power outages.

So, today specialists with many years of experience in this field of activity offer 3 effectively working options for constructing emergency circuits.

Feeding the pump from an uninterruptible source

This method of ensuring uninterrupted operation is characterized by the use of battery devices or special uninterruptible power supplies. However, this option cannot always be implemented, since not every owner of such equipment regularly feeds it with electricity. Therefore, if you do not want to get into a difficult situation, do not forget to check the performance of the batteries and charge them from time to time.

An excellent solution would be a 12-volt circulation pump, which charges as long as there is electricity without disconnecting from operation, and when the mains is not working, it runs on battery power. It switches automatically, does not require any forced adjustment, is inexpensive, and works for a long time.

Natural circulation

In this case, the main heating main, which operates due to artificial pressure pumping, is supplemented by another circuit, which operates through natural circulation heat source. This system is connected immediately after the centrifugal pumping apparatus stops working. However, it is worth understanding that natural way moving hot water through the system will not be able to fully heat the room with large area, so install it only in those rooms where there is a need to retain heat.

Design of a special emergency circuit

Bypass for the system

This option is the most optimal, but at the same time the most financially expensive. After all, its device will require another circuit that will work during non-standard situations.

Here, in fact, are all the subtleties of connecting the thermal circuit together with heating element. We hope our tips will help you create the most comfortable temperature conditions for living in your home!

VIDEO: Heating a house - boiler piping diagram

Heating equipment is designed to make life easier and make living in the house comfortable. Why carry firewood and buy coal? It is much more convenient to connect a gas boiler to a common line. It can be mounted both on the wall and on the floor. But how to properly organize heating so that the coolant is distributed evenly throughout the system? How can you save on fuel consumption? Gas boiler piping diagrams will help you.

What does the harness include?

How does the system usually work? It is based on a heating boiler, from which the coolant is distributed through pipes and radiators. The harness is an installation scheme that protects against overheating and guarantees effective work. It includes elements that are located between the radiators and the boiler:

  • Pipes, divided into two circuits: supply and return lines.
  • Shut-off valves, fittings.
  • Expansion tank. Its volume is equal to 10% of the total amount of coolant in the system. When heated, water expands and pressure increases. To ensure that the value does not exceed a critical level, excess liquid is taken into membrane tank. After cooling, the water returns to the circuit again.
  • Safety valve. Has the same function as the expansion tank. Discharges excess water into the sewer, preventing an explosion when pressure increases.
  • Air vent. Air jams interfere with coolant circulation. The air vent automatically bleeds air from the system.
  • Pressure gauge- a device for measuring and monitoring pressure.
  • Circulation pump. Responsible for the forced movement of liquid through pipes. The pressure and productivity depend on its power.
  • Hydroarrow- these are pipes that are combined into a common container. With a hydraulic arrow, you can connect several circuits at the same time, avoiding their influence on each other.
  • Coarse filter. Fine mesh detail. Detains debris that comes from tap water(sand, rust).

Automation is installed to control the operation of gas and electric boilers. This is a set of sensors for ionization, draft, ignition, temperature. Each of them controls the operation of a separate node.

How more complicated scheme piping, the more the efficiency of the boiler for a private house or apartment increases.

Strapping schemes

To understand how to make the connection correctly, pay attention to the type of boiler. The connection of a single-circuit and double-circuit unit will be different. The simplest piping does not include a pump. The design uses only shut-off valves and a filter. This is a cost-effective approach financially, but it does not ensure uniform distribution of coolant.

It’s easier to make the connection with polypropylene with your own hands. Pipes made from this material are inexpensive and easy to install. In addition, plaque and scale do not accumulate on their walls. You can assemble a circuit of any shape; the connections are made using an “American” fit. Paronite is used as gaskets.

Single-pipe (simple) circuit

The instructions are suitable for single-circuit boilers “”, “”, “” and other brands. The design provides for one pipe, which extends from the body along the floor level. The batteries are connected in series, which reduces the heating efficiency (especially since the combination does not turn on the pump).

Advantages of installation with natural circulation:

  • Easy installation.
  • Independence of heating from the availability of electricity (the pump requires a connection to the network to operate).
  • Minimum costs for materials and equipment.

The picture below shows the connection already with a pump and forced circulation.

Two-pipe installation

How to tie a double-circuit boiler? It includes a supply line that goes up (riser) and turns at the ceiling. This is the main pipe, from which a fork diverges separately to each radiator. The outlet pipe is located at the floor line. Each battery is connected to it by a pipe. It is this organization that allows the coolant to be evenly distributed, which means that the room can be heated effectively.

IN one-story houses You can install a heating system with natural circulation. But in multi-storey buildings only the option with a pump is used. What you will need during installation:

  • pump (usually included with the boiler);
  • distribution valve;
  • membrane tank;
  • shut-off valves;
  • filters;
  • check valve;
  • adapters, tee.

The boiler plays the main role in all heating systems. By burning fuel, it heats the coolant circulating through the pipe lines. However, truly high-quality, safe and productive heating will only be achieved when the correct piping of the heating boiler is thought out, which can be done with your own hands.

Everything that will be located between the heating devices and the boiler is called piping. Many people do not pay due attention to it, but its proper organization solves most problems:

Strapping - what is it?

  • Ensures that the system pressure does not exceed the maximum permissible level
  • Will remove air dissolved in water, preventing the formation of air cushions
  • Will get rid of scale, sand, slag and other debris circulating along with the coolant
  • Will compensate for excess thermal expansion
  • Allows you to connect more than one circuit to the system
  • Can turn on the boiler and accumulate hot water, thereby allowing you to save

To summarize the above, the harness must ensure the reliability, safety and performance of the entire system as a whole. Special attention must be given to solid-state boilers in which automation systems are not provided. By correctly laying the pipes from them, it will be possible to achieve greater efficiency than that of.

Options for piping boiler equipment

There are a huge number of strapping options. However, their main classification is the principle of coolant movement through pipes:

  1. Forced circulation

Forced circulation isolation

The most widespread is the piping of a heating boiler with forced circulation. It is more practical and convenient. Responsible for the movement of coolant installed pump, thanks to which the liquid will quickly circulate through the pipes.

Despite its practicality, forced circulation piping has certain significant disadvantages:

  • Numerous devices that are included in the circuit greatly complicate it
  • High cost of devices
  • High cost of installation and subsequent regular maintenance
  • It is necessary to balance the installed elements with each other
  • Dependencies on power sources

Installation of boilers with two or more circuits requires piping with forced circulation. However, the main performance indicator will be the power of the selected boiler. If it is not enough, it will not have time to heat the required amount of coolant.

Interchange with natural circulation

The most accessible and simplest is piping a heating boiler with natural circulation, which anyone can do. In this scheme, there is no pump, and the coolant moves through the pipes due to the ability of cold, more dense liquids to push out less dense, warm ones.

The gravity scheme has a number of advantages:

  • Low installation and maintenance costs
  • Simple installation that anyone can do on their own
  • Ability to quickly restore the system in case of failure

When starting work, you need to correctly calculate everything and take into account several important rules:

  1. Minimum interior diameter pipes – 32 mm
  2. The location of heating radiators should be higher than the heating boiler
  3. The number of turns and other areas blocking the flow of coolant is reduced to a minimum
  4. Direct horizontal sections must have minimum slope 5 mm per meter in the direction of coolant movement

Despite undeniable advantages, gravity harness has a significant drawback. It is applicable only for heating with one circuit and is most effective in small houses. Pipes laid above the ceiling and near the floor will slightly spoil the interior.

Collector wiring

At the present time, options with natural and forced circulation of coolant, based on tees, are being replaced by more modern collector or radial isolation. It is much more efficient, but more difficult to set up and requires large initial costs.

The collector circuit involves placement behind heating boiler collector - a special water reservoir. Each tap or radiator included in the heating system is connected to it separately.

The collector must be installed in a special cabinet. The coolant, which is heated by the boiler, enters directly into it and only then is distributed through the pipelines.

The advantages of the beam wiring scheme should be obvious to everyone:

  • It is possible to control individual heating elements in one place - the manifold cabinet
  • A stable, equivalent pressure is ensured at each point of the heating system

However, a high level of comfort does not come cheap. Each individual node will have to lay its own pipeline. This will entail an increase in installation time, consumption of pipes, fittings and other auxiliary fittings.

Essential elements

When starting to piping a heating boiler, it is necessary to draw up a list of required equipment and components in advance. The main elements without which it is impossible to carry out the work are:

Click to enlarge image

  1. Circulation pump, the purpose of which is known to everyone. It must ensure uninterrupted movement of coolant through the pipes of the heating system
  2. Expansion tank- a container that is installed at the highest point. Excess coolant accumulates in it and is discharged into the sewer system
  3. Air valves– special devices that remove air accumulated in the system. More often it gets there along with the coolant and if it is not eliminated, it can form an air blockage.
  4. Sump– its purpose is to remove various debris, sand, scale, slag, etc. from the coolant.
  5. Hydrostatic needle– is a thick pipe with a cyclic branch and is installed between the return and supply. Its main task is to connect a circuit with other coolant parameters to the system
  6. Collector or thermal- a container that stores hot liquid

We make the binding with our own hands

First of all, you should install a heating boiler. For floor model little provision should be made concrete base, and lay a sheet of steel around it. The equipment is then connected to the chimney pipe. For gas models, it is best to choose a coaxial chimney.

You should not install a heating system without an exhaust hood. The simplest method is a small hole covered with a grate in the wall. For a heating system that operates with multiple circuits and is based on a capacious, powerful boiler, a hood is installed.

The time has come to begin the most important stage of the work - strapping:

  1. Before you start connecting pipes to each other, you should take into account their inlet and outlet diameters - they must be equal to each other
  2. First of all, select the location of the collector after reading the attached instructions. It should indicate the serving and receiving lines
  3. As a rule, a pipe with a diameter of 1.25 inches is laid from the boiler to the pipeline, and 1 inch from the collector to the devices.
  4. If some of the manifold holes will not be used, they are closed with plugs
  5. A mixing (distribution) pipe must be installed at the inlet pipe, which will monitor the temperature of the supplied coolant; in underfloor heating systems, a similar element is mounted at the outlet
  6. A pump is installed on the return line. It can be mounted behind the control valve or directly cut into the circuit
  7. The last working stage is the installation of additional devices: various sensors, taps, filters, fuses, etc.

Each owner must independently assess the current situation and choose the most suitable harness heating boiler that satisfies him. Of course, for a private cottage with a large number of rooms, priority is given to a forced scheme with a collector; for a dacha, you can choose the gravity option.

Work must be carried out step by step, ensuring the quality of the already assembled part of the system. If possible, seek specialist advice or hire professional craftsmen, providing a guarantee of reliability and quality.

Installation of a gas wall-mounted double-circuit boiler is not a final action that fully ensures the operation of the heating system and the supply of hot water.

Boiler - essential element heating circuit, it provides hot water supply, but it is only a source of thermal energy.

To evenly distribute heating over the entire area of the house, a peripheral part of the system is required, which is installed based on operating conditions, room configuration and other considerations.

Mistakes made during its creation can negate all costs of purchasing a boiler and reduce heating efficiency to a minimum.

Let's take a closer look at this issue.

Boiler piping is a complex of pipelines and external components that is installed on gas boilers and heating appliances. In addition, piping is usually called the process of installing the periphery that forms the external part of the heating circuit.

Since the boiler is a double-circuit boiler, together with the heating it is necessary to assemble the DHW wiring and connect it to the water supply devices. Installation - responsible and important work, requiring the involvement of competent, qualified specialists.

It is also possible to independently piping the system if the user has copper soldering skills or knows how to handle polypropylene pipelines.

In any case, the result depends on the thoroughness and accuracy of the contractor, his level of training in the creation of thermal systems.

Advantages and disadvantages

The advantages include:

  • It becomes possible to supply thermal energy to the premises through coolant circulation.
  • The organization of hot water supply becomes possible.
  • Some boiler models do not have built-in circulation pumps. The harness allows you to use external devices, completely solving the problem.
  • Increasing the efficiency and economy of the boiler and the entire system as a whole.
  • The need for careful design of the heating circuit.
  • We have to perform a complex of complex and time-consuming work.
  • For tying it is necessary to involve experienced specialists.

Despite the existence of some disadvantages, the operation of the system without strapping is impossible. Therefore, the main task becomes competent design and quality work installers.

NOTE!

All attempts to minimize labor costs or financial expenses V in this case dangerous - they can lead to destruction or unproductive operation of the system.

What elements does the diagram contain?

The wiring diagram is a complex made up of the following elements:

  • Circulation pump.
  • Valves for various purposes(safety, reverse, distribution, etc.).
  • Expansion tank.
  • Ball valves - drain, balancing, etc.
  • Pressure gauge.
  • Filters for purifying liquids from solid particles.

As a rule, most of these components are built into a wall-mounted double-circuit boiler, and there is no need to duplicate them in the external part of the system. Elements such as a circulation pump, expansion tank, all taps and valves are initially present in the boiler design as components.

A modern unit practically does not require the installation of external components, connecting directly to the system. The exception is non-volatile boilers that are not equipped circulation pump and other important elements.

An important element of the piping is air removal devices. A circulation pump can perform this function, but the efficiency of the process is low and takes a long time.

It is easier to install Mayevsky taps on radiators and place the supply pipeline in a vertical position (on non-volatile systems). In addition, pressure and temperature monitoring devices, which provide information about the operation of the system, are of great importance.

Shut-off valves allow you to regulate or cut off the system lines in case of emergency situations.

What materials are used

Materials for the manufacture of pipelines in heating systems are:

  • Steel. IN Soviet times steel pipes were practically the only option. They are cheap and can withstand high pressure. The disadvantage is the need for welding and the tendency to corrosion and formation on the internal walls. limescale, capable of completely blocking the pipeline cross-section. Later, stainless steel pipes appeared, which are not prone to lime deposits and corrosion.
  • Copper. The most common material for creating piping for gas boilers. Connected by soldering, withstands high pressure. Not prone to corrosion or deposits on the inner walls of the tubes.
  • Metal-plastic. Pipes appeared relatively recently. Their main value lies in the ease of installation - it does not require welding, all connections are made using wrenches. Metal-plastic pipes have plasticity, which in some cases makes it possible to do without fittings.
  • Polypropylene. To install it, a special soldering iron is used, but it is inexpensive, like the pipelines themselves. IN Lately this material is actively used for assembling systems in private homes, since such pipes do not burst when frozen. Collected from polypropylene pipes the autonomous system will remain intact in the event of an accident, which is highly valued by users. The walls of the pipelines are quite thick, which some people think is a disadvantage.
  • Low-density polyethylene (HDPE). These pipes are also not burst by frozen water. However, HDPE pipes are not suitable for a heating system because they have a low operating temperature. They can only be used for the external part of underfloor heating systems.

Choice of the most suitable material determined by the capabilities and preferences of the home owner.

Piping diagrams for a double-circuit wall-mounted boiler

There are several strapping schemes used depending on the type and specific features systems:

  • Gravity circuit, which is used in systems with natural coolant circulation. Pipelines and radiators are installed with a slope that ensures that hot layers of liquid move up and cooler layers move down.
  • Circuit with a circulation pump. The coolant movement is forced, the system operation is more stable and efficient. This option is used most often.
  • Collector circuit. It appeared relatively recently; its difference from the generally accepted options is the connection of the boiler to the manifold, from which all lines of the system are powered. Suitable for complex systems, consisting of a radiator line and a warm floor.
  • Emergency scheme. It is designed for use in the event of a sudden power outage. Usually the boilers stop working, but if there is an emergency piping circuit, you can use heating using natural coolant circulation.

Both collector and emergency circuits are more expensive and require more labor during assembly. At the same time, they allow for more efficient heating and the ability to heat the house during a power outage.

What does the scheme depend on?

The choice of piping scheme depends on the configuration of the heating system, its type and composition.

The main influencing factors are:

  • Type of system - open or closed.
  • Is there an additional water heater (boiler).
  • Are there additional circuits or a heated floor system?

Depending on the combination of certain elements, they can be used different ways connections:

  • Direct connection. Used on conventional systems that do not have any add-ons.
  • With hydraulic separator. This option is necessary if there are several circuits with different temperatures - the underfloor heating system cannot have a temperature higher than 30°, and the radiator circuit requires a much higher temperature.
  • With additional heat exchanger. This is a method when the coolant from the boiler circulates in a small circle, and there is another heat exchanger outside, where thermal energy passed on to a friend. liquid directly circulating in the system. This option is rare and is used where needed different types coolant (with different freezing temperatures).

Choice the desired option depends on the configuration and composition of the system. Most often, a direct connection is used, which is simple and reliable..

Doesn't depend on what

The piping scheme does not depend on the type of boiler and the type of fuel used. The same piping methods are used for all types and designs of boilers, regardless of the installation method (floor or wall), the type of fuel (gas, pellets, electricity or diesel fuel), etc.

For complex systems, minor amendments are sometimes made at the design stage, but they do not play a decisive role and do not change the general principle.

The only difference that is possible is the piping for single- and double-circuit boilers, when either there is or is not a hot water supply line.

The most popular scheme

Let's consider the procedure for creating the most popular type strapping - straight. The most common are energy-dependent boilers, so a piping scheme with an existing circulation pump will be described.

Necessary actions:

Installation of all devices

All radiators, washbasins, bathtubs or showers are installed, kitchen sink. It is necessary that by the time the elements of the heating circuit or DHW are connected, all elements are installed and ready for connection.

The readiness of the heating line is especially important, since the hot water supply circuit works for delivery and can be expanded during operation.

Connecting heating system pipelines

All radiators are connected in series with each other by pipelines. One end is connected to the flush line (supply) of the boiler, the other to the return line.

It is important to ensure the tightness and integrity of the system. To avoid errors, you should constantly check the wiring diagram created during the design of the system.

DHW connection

A pipeline is installed, connected to the DHW pipe of the gas boiler. Taps for mixers are connected to the gap through tees. It is recommended that each mixer be equipped with its own ball valves to shut off the water supply when necessary.

The last step will be to connect the boiler to the power line - supply cold water . After this you can make trial run and check the quality of work and integrity of all pipelines.

All detected errors are immediately eliminated, for which the system is stopped, the water is drained and the circuit is readjusted.
