Technoelast marking

What is technoelast?

Technoelast is a rolled roofing material that is characterized by high reliability, waterproofing capabilities and high strength. Thanks to its properties, technoelast can be used in any climatic conditions. Technoelast is used for covering roofs, waterproofing foundations, swimming pools, garages and other structures.

The production technology consists of applying a layer of a mixture of bitumen, SBS thermoplastic (and its modifications) and filler on both sides to a durable and fairly flexible base. SBS is an artificial rubber, and fillers can include talc, dolomite and other substances. The top and bottom layers are film or crumbs. It is the film that protects the material from gluing during storage in a roll, and it is also melted during the installation of technoelast. The crumbs can be either coarse-grained or fine-grained. Technoelast is available in several modifications, each of which has its own conditions and area of ​​use. And the letters indicated in the modification are deciphered as follows:

  • Technoelast EKP is a roofing waterproofing material that is used as upper layer. It is often used with EPP technoelast, thereby increasing the reliability of roofing work. EKP is characterized by high heat resistance and tolerates well low temperatures(up to -30 o C). The main layer for the production of ECP is polyester (which is not subject to rotting) with a layer of bitumen, thermoplastic and filler. The top is covered with a large mineral film, and the bottom layer is a protective film.
  • Technoelast TKP is used as roofing material top layer of roofing sheet. It can also withstand high loads, so it is often used as a waterproofing agent for underground objects. The rolled material has high strength, increased reliability, and is resistant to steam and temperature changes.   • TKP roll material consists of fiberglass coated with SBS-modified bitumen and filler, and film. Due to the absence of polyester and crumbs, it has the smallest thickness - 3 mm.

  • the weight of the binder on the fusion side is not less than 2 kg/m2.

The characteristics of the produced technoelast correspond to the technical characteristics of EPP technoelast according to GOST 30547-97.

Advantages and disadvantages

Installation and storage

For a long service life of waterproofing, it must not only be selected correctly, but also correctly laid and secured.

The sequence of work is as follows:

  1. The surface to which the technoelast will be attached must be thoroughly cleaned of dust. If there are potholes and holes, they should be cemented. Then degrease the surface of the structure.
  2. To ensure adhesion of the technoelast, the base must be coated or thinned bitumen mastic gasoline (proportions 1:3).
  3. At this step you need to roll out and cut the panel.
  4. Warm up the bottom layer gas burner and press to the base. All subsequent sheets are fused with an overlap of 9-10 cm.

Storing technoelast is quite easy. First of all, it should be placed in a room with dry air, which is well ventilated. You need to stack rolls on shelves in a vertical position and in such a way that they are away from heating devices at a distance of no closer than a meter.
