Since childhood, we have been familiar with the technology of sawing with a jigsaw. The principle is simple - a stationary part is placed on a stand with a technological cutout, the cut is made by moving the saw. The quality of work depends on the steadfastness of the hands and the skill of the worker.

In this way, you can literally cut lace from thin wooden or plastic blanks. However, the process is labor-intensive and slow. Therefore, many craftsmen thought about small-scale mechanization.

A simple design from the last century

More in the magazine Young technician“Drawings were offered on how to make a jigsaw machine with your own hands. Moreover, the design does not involve an electric drive; the drive operates from muscular force, like a knife sharpener.

The machine consists of main parts:

  • bed (A)
  • work table (B) with slot for canvas
  • lever system (B) for holding saw blade
  • flywheel (G), which is the primary drive pulley
  • crank mechanism (D), combined with a secondary drive pulley, and driving the levers (B)
  • pedal assembly (E) with a crank mechanism driving the flywheel (D)
  • saw blade tensioner (W)

The master uses his foot to move the flywheel (D). Using a belt drive, the crank mechanism (D) connected to the lower arm (B) rotates. A file is stretched between the levers; the degree of tension is regulated by a lanyard (G).

With a well-balanced flywheel, sufficient smooth running of the saw blade is ensured, and such a homemade jigsaw machine allows you to massively cut out the same type of workpiece, saving time and effort. In those days, jigsaw files were produced in the form of a flat, unidirectional strip.

Therefore, to obtain patterns complex shape I had to rotate the workpiece around the canvas. The dimensions of the workpiece are limited by the length of the arms (B).

From a mechanical jigsaw to an electric one one step

Foot drive cannot give real freedom of action and uniformity of the saw stroke. It makes more sense to use an electric motor for the crank mechanism. However, if you use a tabletop jigsaw occasionally, there is no point in making stationary structure with its own motor.

You can use home power tools. For example, a screwdriver with a rotation speed controller.
The materials used are literally scraps of wood and old trash. The only critical part is the bed. It is better to make it from durable plywood with a thickness of at least 18 mm.

We make all connections using wood screws; the joints can be coated with PVA glue. From the same material we assemble a support pedestal for the lever rod. The design of the support should not have any play; the subsequent accuracy of the entire machine depends on its strength.

What if you need to use a jigsaw, but have no desire to purchase one? Experienced craftsmen will answer that in this case the easiest way is to make a jigsaw with your own hands.

There are multiple ways to make and repair such a tool yourself. Below is a list of options for using the simplest and most accessible of them.

Making a manual jigsaw using simple technology

Before making a jigsaw, you should prepare inexpensive and available materials. Let's present them in the form of a list:

  • sheet plywood - 12 mm;
  • sheet plywood - 5 mm;
  • sheet steel - 2 mm;
  • set of bolts and nuts;
  • drill (manual or electric);
  • chisel;
  • sanding paper;
  • files.

As a base for a manual jigsaw, you must use a bracket, which is made from a sheet of plywood (12 mm).

After this, you should thicken the handle using a thinner plywood sheet (5 mm). This thickening is glued evenly on both sides of the handle, which ensures its comfortable position in the hand during subsequent work with a jigsaw. At the same time, the bracket and handle must be carefully processed using sandpaper and files of different classes.

The steel plate must be cut out using a chisel and the clamping jaws must be cleaned using a file. Next, you will need a drill to make slits in the jaws. Having taken this step, we begin to cut out notches on them with a sharp chisel. The left clamping jaw must be modified in such a way that a threaded hole is made for the bolt. We attach the jaws to the bracket, and then screw in the bolts on the left clamp, securely securing it with a nut.

Options for making a tabletop jigsaw

Desktop devices of this type can be made either from scratch or by modifying existing devices.

Option 1

To make a new benchtop mechanical jigsaw, you must first acquire the following tools and consumables:

  • duralumin pipe;
  • plastic base;
  • screws;
  • copper sheet;
  • drill.

First, we prepare the frame; a duralumin pipe is well suited for this purpose. During the manufacturing process of the frame, a passage must be provided through which an electrical wire is laid, which will provide the tool with power. Using a copper sheet, a U-shaped frame is made, which is then attached directly to the frame. In the area where the frame connects to the jigsaw handle, the frame is screwed in with screws.

Then we take plastic base for drilling holes and mounting slots in it. We fix the jigsaw on the prepared base so that the file can pass freely through the hole. Using clamps, we attach the finished device to a flat surface, for example, to a table.

Option 2

To make a jigsaw you can use sewing machine, the repair of which is not necessary. To make such a tool you will need following materials and tools:

We unscrew all the bolted fasteners from the lower parts of the machine structure, and the entire working system with thread is completely removed. We remove the metal fastening rod by knocking it out and remove the drive shaft. We unscrew 2 more bolts and disassemble the panel that covers the sewing machine; removing it is quite simple. Remove with gentle movements sewing needle and let's get to work.

First of all, we carry out work with the slot for the needle. We expand it to such a size that the file can fit there. A needle file will help you cope with this task. It should be selected based on the size of the hacksaw blade. Try to adjust the size of the slot for the file as accurately as possible. Having bored out the connector, you can install the blade in place of the former needle holder. And finally, when turning the wheel, you need to check a few things to:

  • there was no contact between the saw, the panel and the presser foot;
  • there was free passage of plywood under the saw in the upper position;
  • the materials were drawn in a smooth motion without jerking.

These jigsaws are suitable for use with plywood, balsa wood and plastic, and when using an electric machine, such a device can be converted into a jigsaw.

If it is not possible to repair the jigsaw

In case the use hand jigsaw does not correspond to the tasks, and electric ones cannot be repaired, then it is worth using the possibilities presented below, which will allow you to make a jigsaw. Electric jigsaw desktop type:

  • electric jigsaw for manual use;
  • sheet plywood;
  • set of clamps;
  • 10 pieces of screws;
  • electric drill.

We make markings for the slots in the plywood and carefully cut them out. If there is a pendulum stroke, it must be turned off. Then we place a hacksaw blade in the slot and attach it there. We also make several slits on the plywood by drilling holes with a drill and connecting them to each other. Screws are placed in the slots made. Finally secure the tool using clamps to flat surfaces it won't be an effort. The device is ready.

Jigsaw from an electric drill:

  • steel sheet (4 mm);
  • steel sheet (1.5 mm);
  • steel sheet (1 mm);
  • steel rail (2 mm);
  • spring rail (0.9 mm);
  • steel rod (7 mm cross-section);
  • electric drill.

Using sheet steel (4 mm), we make a product in the form of a C-shaped frame, which will be the base of the jigsaw. Next, attach it to an electric drill. For this purpose it is necessary to create special clamp made of steel sheet (1.5 mm), which will ensure fastening. We attach spring slats to the edges of the base. Steel sheet(1 mm) we will need to make clamps with which the saw will be attached. Clips like these on the edges will also help strengthen the C-frame. And from a steel rod you can make a crank that will power the saw. For the connecting rod we need a steel strip, which will allow us to create a crank mechanism.

At this point, the work on making the jigsaw can be considered complete. Due to its massive size, for safety reasons it is better to clamp the drill in a vice while working. And it’s best to place working materials on flat surfaces.

Video “Jigsaw. Modernization"

The jigsaw has long ceased to be a rarity and is present in the tool kit of almost everyone. home handyman. It is convenient and capable of cutting various materials, relatively safe. The jigsaw is designed for cutting curved shapes, closed or with a complex configuration. It is indispensable when performing many works on home improvement, during construction plasterboard structures, boxes, on other works.

However, in some cases, working with a hand tool becomes difficult or inconvenient: poor visibility of the cut line interferes, it becomes necessary to hold the workpiece with both hands, etc. But the main problem with a manual jigsaw is that the file moves to the side, which is especially noticeable when cutting materials. large thickness and with small radii of curvature. In such cases, you need a jigsaw machine, which you can create with your own hands.

Purpose of the machine and operating principle

Figure 1 – Jigsaw machine

The jigsaw machine is designed to perform curved or straight cuts sheet materials along a pre-planned contour or along guides.

Unlike hand tools, where the file is attached only at one end and holds its shape solely due to its own elasticity, on jigsaw machines the file is attached at both ends.

Such a machine can become a woodworking, tabletop, saw, 4 in 1, made from a circular saw, drill and cutter, etc.

The main design elements are:

  • frame with tensioned file;
  • crank mechanism, providing reciprocating motion of the frame;
  • work table and stand.

The jigsaw successfully replaces the crank mechanism, driving the frame with the saw. There are more simple designs, where the jigsaw is simply attached in an inverted position to the work table from below, and the file either holds its position during operation due to its own elasticity, or is fixed on top by guides or a spring-loaded bracket that moves with it during operation. This allows you to reduce power losses when transmitting movement to the frame, but requires the use of elongated saw blades, which are not often found on sale.

Advantage

The main advantage of a jigsaw machine is the ability to perform precise cuts without the file moving to the side. In addition, the advantages of jigsaw machines over hand tools are:

  • more effective visual control over the direction and accuracy of the cut;
  • possibility of using guides;
  • it becomes possible to install special templates that allow you to obtain many identical blanks;
  • A narrower file is used to reduce the radius of curvature and cut out parts of more complex shapes.

Along with these advantages, another one appears - the need to organize a workplace for sawing disappears, since the machine has an appropriate plane for this.

Important! Along with the advantages, there are also obvious disadvantages - cutting out internal parts becomes much more difficult or impossible, only trimming along the outer contour.

Basic design - drawings

Exist ready-made platforms, allowing you to quickly convert hand tool into the machine. However, they are designed for jigsaws from a specific manufacturer and are not suitable for any device. In addition, the price of such platforms often far exceeds the cost of the tool itself. Therefore, it is much easier to make the machine yourself.

Figure 2- Design of a jigsaw machine

The basis is the desktop.

It has been experimentally established that tables made of sheet metal- they are durable, ensure precision installation, do not require frequent replacement and do not reduce the working length of the file.

The jigsaw is attached to the table through holes in the support plane; if necessary, it can be easily detached and used in the usual way.

The work table is installed on the bed. It can be made of wood, chipboard or other materials. The main requirement is strength, easy access to the jigsaw and a size (height) convenient for the master.

A rocker arm is installed at the end of the table, on which the second end of the file is attached with tensioner. The simplest option is a regular spring, which tensions the file and prevents it from being pulled to the side during sudden changes in cutting direction. The manufacture of this unit is one of the most difficult stages of work, since the quality and cleanliness of the sawing depends on it, as well as the amount of load on the mechanism and electric motor of the jigsaw.

There are two design options for the tensioner:

  1. Rigid rocker and spring block at its end with a movable saw attachment.
  2. A movable rocker with a spring at the opposite end and a rigid saw attachment.

Both options have their pros and cons; the choice is usually made in favor of the option that is the simplest and most accessible in terms of technical capabilities.

How to make a machine from a hand jigsaw?

Let's consider the procedure for making a jigsaw machine. The design consists of a work table with a jigsaw attached to the bottom. The rocker consists of a rigidly reinforced post with a movable spring-loaded lever. This option is considered affordable and reliable, devoid of unnecessary components and parts.

For simplicity and clarity, it is recommended to sketch out working drawings that will clarify some design features and answer questions regarding dimensions, connection points and other details of the assembly process.

The creation of a machine can be divided into three stages, which should be considered separately:

Preparatory stage

Before starting the actual manufacture of the machine, it is necessary to make some preparation. First of all, you should make a special adapter for installing the file. In most jigsaws, the seat end of the file is inserted into a socket and clamped with a screw.

The cutting element of the machine is a thinner and longer file with holes at the ends, which are placed on special pins (or through which mounting screws pass). Therefore, it is necessary to make an adapter, the lower part of which copies the shank of a standard file for a given jigsaw, and the upper part is equipped with a hole for a screw with a nut, with which the adapter is connected to the bench saw.

Here the order of actions is not limited by anything - some grind the part the desired shape from a metal plate, others take a piece of a finished file with a shank and weld a steel washer to it, followed by processing for accuracy.

In addition, you need to prepare necessary tools and materials, including:

Figure 3 – Drawing of a jigsaw machine
  • Bulgarian;
  • electric drill with a set of drills;
  • screwdriver;
  • welding inverter with electrodes;
  • pieces of chipboard or multi-layer plywood for desktop and bed;
  • connecting corners;
  • fasteners(self-tapping screws or bolts with nuts).

The above list is not exhaustive; you may need additional tools or materials.

Creating blanks

The first step will be to make a desktop. A piece of plywood or chipboard of the planned size is sawn off. There are no special restrictions here, but you will have to take into account the size of the room in which the machine will be placed. Too much small table will be inconvenient for working with large parts, and excessive table space will take up a lot of space in the room (or workshop).

As a rule, when choosing the size of the table, they are guided by the size of the parts that will be processed on the machine. Holes are made on the table for attaching a jigsaw and for a file. To do this, unscrew the sole from the tool, apply it to the table and mark the centers of the holes for the connecting bolts.

Important! Connecting bolts securing the jigsaw to work surface, must be with countersunk head so that they do not protrude from the plane of the table and do not scratch the workpiece during operation.

Figure 5 – Jigsaw beam

The second step will be making the rocker arm. It will require two elements:

  • rack;
  • movable lever.

Take for the stand profile pipe rectangular section and weld the support platform at the bottom.

Its size should ensure immobility, stability and reliability of the rack during operation under load.

The height should correspond to the length of the file in the maximum raised state, plus a small margin for the size of the attachment point.

The best option is that in the middle position of the saw, the movable lever is in a horizontal position.

The moving element is a beam mounted on a rack using a hinge joint. The length of the front part ensures that the saw blade attachment point is positioned exactly above the corresponding jigsaw element. The back of the lever is connected to a spring that provides tension.

Then you need to make a tension unit. It is a regular spring, which is tensioned using an adjusting screw. It is attached to one end of the spring, threaded through a special loop on the frame and tightened using a nut and washer.

Attention! Vibration can cause the tension nut to unwind, loosening the tension. It is recommended to secure it with a lock nut.

Assembly

The assembly process is not difficult. You need to do the following:

  1. Connect the work table and the bed.
  2. Install the jigsaw.
  3. Secure the stand with bolts.
  4. Install the lever.
  5. Attach the tension spring and secure on both sides.

If the calculations were performed correctly, the file will move exactly vertically without yawing to the sides. It is recommended that before starting the jigsaw, check its progress and make sure that no unforeseen situations are expected.

When working with a jigsaw, you should adhere to the following rules:

  • do not put your hands near the moving saw;
  • do not try to stop the saw or lever with your hands;
  • change the cutting element only when the jigsaw is stopped;
  • do not make much effort when feeding the workpiece to the cutting body;
  • Do not work with workpieces that are too thick.

In addition, you should remember the fire safety rules and always unplug the tool from the socket after finishing work.

Self-production a jigsaw machine is not fundamentally difficult, however, not every craftsman needs it. As a rule, such devices are used by people who perform a large amount of work and need to create a optimal conditions. Everyone chooses the design features of the machine according to their own considerations and preferences, available options There are many. The quality and safety of the product directly depends on the degree of care and accuracy of assembly.

A jigsaw is a tool without which it is now simply impossible to perform many works on processing wood and materials in which it is used. Being compact and light in weight, a handheld portable jigsaw is capable of cutting out products of very complex geometry from a workpiece.

The jigsaw is very convenient to use and also provides very precise and thin cut. If you don’t want to spend money on a purchased jigsaw, you can make your own at home.

The lightest product

The jigsaw table itself can be made with your own hands in a short period of an hour. The advantage of the manufactured design will be its simplicity. It can easily be mounted on a tabletop or workbench and, if necessary, can also be easily disassembled. Disadvantage homemade design can be considered its small area.

The simplest product consists of the following parts:

  1. Plywood.
  2. Mounting screws.
  3. Clamps.

The working basis of the machine can be laminated plywood, in which it is necessary to drill holes for installing fasteners and for the saw itself. Plywood must be at least 10 millimeters thick. At the same time, you may also have to make holes in the base of your power tool for mounting screws.

A homemade structure can be attached to the workbench using clamps. Please note that the heads of the screws for fastening must be recessed into the surface of the sheet so that they do not interfere with you while working. Such a machine can easily handle the processing of small workpieces up to 30 millimeters thick. You can easily find a drawing of this type of machine on the Internet, and then assemble it yourself at home.

Another variant

This option consists of the following parts:

  1. Bed made of chipboard.
  2. Tube for vacuum cleaner.
  3. Laminated plywood for the machine cover.
  4. Confirmants.

There is a second option for a stationary device for working with wood material, which is assembled from a larger number of spare parts, but making it is not difficult. The frame is made of chipboard and consists of a back wall and two sidewalls. To make it easy to get to the power button, the machine has no front wall.

In the back wall you need to do it yourself drill holes for the vacuum cleaner tube and cord. The cover for the machine can be made from laminated plywood 10 millimeters thick. The entire structure can be tightened with confirmants. The jigsaw can be secured in the same way as described above in the first case.

On a machine made according to this option, it is possible to process more massive workpieces, however, when working with a thick workpiece, the jigsaw saw can go in both directions and lean back. At the same time, cutting accuracy deteriorates. This drawback can easily be eliminated with your own hands by installing a bracket on a homemade machine that will serve as a support.

The jigsaw blade will move between two 11mm bearings, which must be screwed to an L-shaped strip made of steel. The back of the saw will rest against the wall of the bracket itself. This design will prevent your jigsaw blade from deviating from the intended path.

The bracket must be attached to the frame, made of 50 by 50 millimeter bars. It can be lowered or raised depending on the length and thickness of the wood being processed. To do this, the frame itself, together with the stop, must not be firmly attached to the side of the machine, but pressed against it with a hardboard, steel or textolite plate. Install vertical stand frame between the hardboard and the frame.

The machine can be more convenient if you mount an additional limit bar on it, with which you can cut the material into workpieces of the same length and thickness.

The limiter is attached to the machine using clamps. His made from wooden beam , aluminum or steel corner. For convenience, you can also install a bar on the slide, which must be secured to the sides or bottom of the tabletop.

Table for a jigsaw made of chipboard

To make this jigsaw table you must have a certain carpentry skill, since when connecting its frame to the legs, it must be done in a tongue-and-groove manner. The tongue and groove itself can be replaced with a connection using dowels, wood glue and self-tapping screws.

The machine cover must be made liftable to facilitate access to the tool when replacing it. In order for the machine to be multifunctional, it is necessary to provide space for mounting a manual milling machine.

The table is assembled from the following materials:

  • block 80 by 80 millimeters;
  • block 40 by 80 millimeters;
  • laminated plywood or laminated chipboard sizes 900 by 900 millimeters.

Measure the distance between the legs, it should be from 60 to 70 centimeters. The bars for the legs and drawers will be obtained if you cut the bars 80 by 80 millimeters lengthwise. You can choose the height of the legs themselves at your own discretion, it all depends on how comfortable it will be for you to perform work on the machine.

At each end of the legs and drawers, it is necessary to drill two holes for dowels. The same holes must be made on the sides of the legs. Coat the dowels with glue half their length and insert them into the ends. After this, assemble the entire frame. It will turn out to be non-separable. After checking and possible corrections, it is tightened tightly.

All surfaces at contact points must be coat with glue. Use self-tapping screws for additional structural strength, which must be screwed through holes prepared in advance for them.

The lid must be attached to one of the drawers using hinges; to do this, a slot must be made in it to facilitate removal and installation of the jigsaw. In the back of the tabletop, you need to screw two strips with a pre-selected quarter into which the sole of the power tool should fit.

Holes must be made in the strips, into which bolts or clamping screws must then be installed. A jigsaw mounted under the tabletop will be able to cut thicker material if a recess is made in the lid for its sole. The easiest way to make this deepening is using a milling machine.

The resulting table will be very simple and spacious, so a large lid can provide the necessary strength chipboard thickness or plywood. Use sheets of 20 millimeters or thicker.

Jigsaw using thin saws

Since when cutting complex patterns in plywood, a jigsaw is not well suited for this, you need to take a thin file. It can be attached to a hand-held power tool using the original tool.

We also attach the jigsaw to the tabletop, but the thin file needs to be tensioned, since it will not be enough just set on a pendulum. To facilitate the process of tensioning the file, it is necessary to make a rocker arm from a block.

The tension of your canvas is ensured by a spring. Place its lower loop on the transverse pin. The upper loop must be inserted into the adjusting screw, which changes the tension force of the damper. All wooden blanks For homemade machine made from hard wood.

Since the jigsaw machine does not have the ability to fasten a blade with a thin section, you can remake the piece old saw, having previously drilled a hole in it and completed it with a screw with nut and clamping plate.

A vertical slot must be made in the rocker arm into which a second steel plate must be inserted. It is attached to the rocker with screws. The upper part of the file must be attached to it in the same way as the lower one. To make it easier for you, you can use scraps from an old jigsaw to make the plates.

A jigsaw machine is a high-precision equipment designed for processing workpieces of varying complexity, made of different materials. To choose the right device, you need to study its design and familiarize yourself with some useful recommendations.

Basically, the einhell jigsaw, like its competitors, is used for the following purposes:

  • Treatment complex contours from blanks;
  • Cuts on the internal surfaces of the material without affecting the external contours;
  • Furniture manufacturing;
  • Production of musical instruments;
  • Creation of all kinds of wood-based blanks.

In addition to wood, even a self-assembled jigsaw machine is capable of working on plastic, ceramics, plexiglass, polycarbonate and a number of other materials. But still, the main material that jigsaw machines have to deal with is wood. Makita machines cope with this task perfectly.

Design

Studying the jigsaw machine Kraton wmss 11 01 or its competitors represented by Makita, Bosch, Excalibur in order to assemble similar device with your own hands, we can say that structurally they all look approximately the same.

If you decide to make a homemade jigsaw machine and equip it with a CNC module in the future, then it is better to start manufacturing by studying the design of factory models.

Main structural elements machine are:

  • Desktop;
  • Electric drive;
  • KShM (crank mechanism);
  • Sawing tool;
  • Tension mechanism;
  • Auxiliary elements;
  • CNC module.

If we take for example machines such as Makita, Proxxon, Dewalt, Hegner, Holzstar, Excalibur, DKS 502 Vario, Dremel or WMSS 11 03, they will be structurally close to each other. But approximate price- from 6-10 thousand rubles. Therefore, the choice must be based on technical parameters and your personal needs.

  1. The work table is used to place the workpieces being processed. A range of machines are offered with rotating mechanisms for the table, which allows the operator, if necessary, to change the angles of inclination and perform inclined processing of parts. When making a homemade jigsaw machine, you should think about graduation to simplify marking. The size of the table determines the size of the workpiece you can work with. Therefore, base your choice on what materials you will be dealing with. Standard table has a length limitation of up to 30-40 cm.
  2. The drive differs in power. Manufacturers such as Makita, Hegner, Dremel, Dewalt, WMSS 11 03, Proxxon, Holzstar, Excalibur, DKS 502 Vario offer a wide range of machines, each of which has different drive powers, nuances of the CNC module, etc.
  3. KShM. This mechanism transmits torque from the electric drive to the saw of the machine. The vertical movement of the file can be 3-5 mm at a speed of up to 1000 vibrations per minute. Some machines, including Makita, Excalibur, WMSS 11 03, Dremel, Dewalt, Hegner, Holzstar, DKS 502 Vario, are equipped with a function for adjusting the sawing frequency. This allows you to adapt the machine to the specific type of material being cut.
  4. File. With a length of 20-35 cm, it is capable of sawing a workpiece 10 cm thick. Saws vary in size and materials. The choice is based on the density and characteristics of the materials that need to be cut.
  5. Tension device. Due to it, the file receives the necessary tension at working points. Depending on the model, the device is based on springs or leaf springs.
  6. Auxiliary elements are primarily a dust extractor. If you decide to make a homemade jigsaw, we recommend providing this functionality. It can be organized using a regular vacuum cleaner.

An ordinary jigsaw is sometimes quite capable of replacing a jigsaw-type machine. A jigsaw is not a stationary unit, but a hand tool. At the same time, the jigsaw broad scope applications. For household needs it may be enough. If, for work in a workshop, garage or production, maximum cutting accuracy is required, then instead of a jigsaw it is better to purchase a full-fledged machine. Even better - CNC. The CNC module will provide process automation. The necessary programs are set through the CNC, and the machine independently processes the workpieces according to a given algorithm.

A jigsaw cannot have CNC control, since it belongs to the category of hand-held power tools. A stationary unit is in many ways better, which is why the choice often falls in its direction. This is evidenced by numerous reviews from consumers of Makita, Proxxon, Dremel, Hegner, Dewalt, Excalibur, Holzstar, WMSS 11 03, DKS 502 Vario machines, etc.

Criterias of choice

When such machines as Makita, Dremel, Holzstar, Dewalt, Proxxon, Hegner, DKS 502 Vario, WMSS 11 03 are presented on the market, the choice is complicated by the wide range. To make your choice a little easier, carefully consider your machine requirements.

Based on them, you will be able to understand whether the scheppach deco flex jigsaw machine is suitable for you, or maybe you will even prefer a homemade jigsaw machine.

  1. Power. Equipment Dewalt, Hegner, Makita, Proxxon, Dremel, WMSS 11 03 is offered in various designs- from household to professional. Choice in favor professional devices With modern CNC, it should be done by specialists who regularly operate the equipment. The power of such devices is from 1 kW. The power parameters of household models from Dewalt, Proxxon, Makita, Hegner, Dremel are in the range of 500-950 W. Power affects the depth of cut and the duration of non-stop work. You should choose a more powerful model even for household use, since they have a margin of durability.
  2. Weight. The more powerful the selected Dremel, Dewalt, Makita, Proxxon, Hegner or WMSS 11 03 unit, the more weight it will contain. Since this is not a hand tool, it is important to take weighty devices. They generate less vibration, providing required quality processing.
  3. Speed. Here the speed is determined in moves per minute. Most machines from Makita, Proxxon, Hegner, Dremel have frequencies in the range of 0-3500 units. Industrial models provide increased travel speed, which guarantees high-precision processing.
  4. Personal feelings. When choosing a machine, be sure to try it out. This way you will understand how comfortable it will be to deal with him.
  5. Speed adjustment. Modern machines Dremel, Proxxon, Makita, Hegner, Dewalt necessarily include the ability to adjust in the list of available functions. Only each model has its own range of adjustments. Be guided by the materials to be cut. The more varied the workpieces are planned, the wider the range of settings you choose. In this regard, CNC models are convenient. They are customized for a specific material, which allows you to practically not take part in operations during cutting. This is the main advantage of CNC, for which many are willing to pay a lot of money.

Before you make a jigsaw machine with your own hands, based on drawings and videos, or purchase Makita, Proxxon products or a WMSS 11 03 machine, carefully consider your actions.

Homemade units are good in some places, but they are far from the level of Makita machines. Makita has proven itself to be very good. Many units from Makita receive numerous positive reviews, laudatory criticism from experts. Yes, in addition to Makita, there are a number of other companies on the market that we talked about.

It’s up to you to choose whether it will be a Makita machine, or decide to cut the blanks at Proxxon machines, Bosch. For some, it’s even easier to make a device with your own hands than to pay for what is undoubtedly a high-quality Makita product.
