Hangers for outerwear are needed in any corridor of both a house and an apartment. They are an integral attribute of practicality and design. And this is especially true for narrow corridors, where there is very little space to install a full-fledged locker.

Figure 1. To construct a wall hanger, use laminated Chipboard thickness 16 mm.

Today, designers offer a lot of options for wall hangers - from the cheapest to the most expensive designs. But it will be much more profitable and pleasant to build such a simple hanger with your own hands. Moreover, it is not as difficult as you might think at first. How to make a hanger yourself? Let's look at a few good options hangers for corridors.

Standard wall hanger option

Material and tools

To begin with, we will describe in detail how to build a modern wooden hanger, on which you can hang not only coats, but also put hats and scarves. Look in the end wall structure it will be something like this (Figure 1). Before work, immediately stock up on the following tools and materials:

  1. Laminated chipboards. You will need two pieces measuring 25 by 80 cm for the side strips. You can make them straight, not curly, as shown in the figure.
  2. 2 back strips 125 by 12 cm.
  3. 4 identical strips measuring 18 by 80 cm for the main vertical internal walls.
  4. A shelf for hats measuring about 135 by 25-30 cm.
  5. Hammer.
  6. Construction level and plumb line.
  7. PVC edge for finishing chipboard edges.
  8. Jigsaw or sander.
  9. Ruler and pencil (chalk) for marking.
  10. Iron.
  11. Wood glue.
  12. Tin scissors or construction knife.
  13. Soft cloth.
  14. Sandpaper.
  15. 6 large and 2 small metal hooks (as shown in the picture).
  16. Self-tapping screws.
  17. Screwdriver or hammer drill.
  18. Dowels.

When choosing the base material (chipboard), it is preferable to choose sheets with a thickness of at least 15 mm. In this case, the texture and color are selected independently in the corridor. Please note that you can order planks of the required sizes, or you can cut them yourself with a jigsaw, then sand them and cover them with tape, which is placed on glue and pressed with a hot iron.

DIY finishing will take longer, but you will spend less money on it. Custom-made planks will be expensive, but specialists will be able to make them very quickly and efficiently. But clothes will never get caught on small imperfections in the wood.

Assembly and fastening

When the preparation of the main parts is completed, you can safely begin assembling and attaching the hanger. First, markings are made on the wall. It is advisable to hang it already finished design 4 self-tapping screws: 2 on top and 2 on bottom along the edges. This way it will hold on much more securely. When marking, be sure to use a tape measure and a pencil and check everything several times so as not to spoil anything.

After this, start assembling the structure. First, connect the front vertical strips to the back horizontal ones. In this case, it is very important to measure everything correctly, so that the distance between the vertical slats is the same. And only then can everything be attached to the screws from the back.

After this, it is nailed on top with nails or on the same screws, and a shelf for hats is mounted. While working, check everything with a level to ensure there are no errors. Otherwise, the hanger will be crooked. Metal hooks are attached depending on what type they are.

Next, all you have to do is attach the hanger to the wall. To do this, you can use self-tapping screws or use hooks. In any case, dowels are first driven into the designated places, and then fastening is carried out. After hanging the structure, make sure once again that it is secure and level, after which you can safely use the hanger.

Non-standard hanger options

Now let’s take a brief look at some of the simplest, cheapest options for hangers. Of course, the hangers will not be as big and beautiful, but in terms of functionality they are quite good. And they look very interesting, as they are non-standard.

Metal utensil hangers

Figure 2. Forks can be used either aluminum or steel.

A clothes hanger made from ordinary spoons or table forks. For this you only need required quantity forks, dowels, nails and one wooden plank on which the forks will be attached, since they will not look so beautiful on the wall.

The fork handles must be bent so that they become hooks. And you can leave the cloves themselves the same or also bend them a little to the side like a fan to make them decorative. Holes for nails are made under the teeth themselves.

Then markings are made on the wall on which to attach wooden canvas. And already on the canvas itself, places for fork-hooks are marked, where they are then attached. Fastening occurs with ordinary nails. As a result, the finished version of the hanger will look something like this (Figure 2).

Using the same principle, you can use, for example, not forks, but wrenches as hangers. This will be a kind of decoration. But for certain styles it will be quite appropriate. Just bend it like this wrench will be much heavier (Figure 3).

Natural structures made from knots

Figure 3. To make the wrench bend more easily, it must be preheated.

Another practically cost-free and original option for outerwear hangers are ordinary wooden knots(Figure 4). To do this, you first need to select the most unusual beautiful knots in the right quantity, and then prepare them carefully.

First you need to clean them well from loose bark and dry them (only in the shade, not under direct sun rays). This usually takes about a week or two. Then you need to impregnate them with a special primer against wood rotting with a light antiseptic; you can also use drying oil. And after the liquid is completely absorbed, you need to cover the knots with varnish.

If you want such a natural hanger to shine, then you need to apply several layers of varnish; drying time will take longer, but in the end you will get a glossy finish. One or two coats give a slight shine or matte finish to the wood, but the wood remains just as protected.

It is also not recommended to attach such hooks directly to the wall, so as not to damage the wallpaper. It is best to use a chipboard panel the right size, which needs to be hung on the wall, and then the knots are attached to the panel using nails. Such a clothes hanger looks good in the hallway if the walls are made of cork, or if the wallpaper depicts natural elements. A combination with plain wallpaper is also acceptable.

Figure 4. Twigs and twigs can be painted in any color or simply varnished.

The most simple solution is to use an ordinary wooden shield and purchased hooks, which can even be placed randomly. You won’t find much originality in such a hanger for outerwear, but you can make it completely without problems - quickly and cheaply.

The size of the shield is selected, which is then cut from wood. The edges are processed with sandpaper, after which they are finished with a special edge or carefully coated with several layers of paint or varnish. In the same case, if you chose a shield made of untreated wood, it must also be thoroughly sanded, then dusted off and covered with varnish or paint.

If you are not satisfied with the color of the shield, you can repaint it. The author's decoration with bronze or silver paint also looks great, which gives the effect of antiquity and at the same time makes the hanger richer. You can also apply simple drawings different colors. After drying, the surface is covered with a layer of varnish.

Next, mark with a pencil the locations of approximate hook fastenings and nail them. After this, all you have to do is attach the canvas to the wall using dowels and nails. As you already understand, even such a simple clothes hanger can be original.

So, how to make a hanger in the corridor for outerwear is now clear.

From all this we can conclude that for any budget and corridor space there are no particular problems in choosing a hanger. After all, materials can be not only expensive, but also practically free.

Now on sale in stores various designs wall hangers. But they all have their own standard sizes. But you can adjust the homemade canvas yourself. In addition, a do-it-yourself hanger of this type can be attached not only to the wall, but also to the surface of the closet, which will help save space.

You can do without a hanger in the hallway or corridor only if you have a large closet, and even then not always. In private homes, it is more convenient to have “duty” clothes on hand - to jump out into the yard. Those that are mounted on the wall are more convenient: they take up less space. One thing is not encouraging: the prices for worthy specimens are considerable. Therefore, we will tell you how to make a wall hanger with your own hands. The models are different, different techniques are used, but they have one thing in common: they are easy to make, especially with detailed photos process and explanations. There are also diagrams and video tutorials.

From boards in the form of a tree

To our small hallway need a hanger. I don’t want to buy a regular one in the form of a bar with hooks - I don’t really like them, and my little daughter won’t be able to get them. Other options with a set of parallel boards are also not inspiring. There is a switch on this wall, so it won’t work without adjustment, and it’s not clear what it will look like. Therefore, it was decided: I make a wall hanger with my own hands in the shape of a tree - trunk, branches. It fits into the interior. I will treat the wood with stain and varnish water based, the color should be close to the color of the front door.

So, two were purchased at the sawmill unedged boards 25 mm thick. There are markings on them - on one there is a trunk, on the other there are branches.

We take an electric jigsaw and cut out the blanks along the marked contours. Next is a turn of very dusty work - we sand the wood, while simultaneously adjusting the thickness of the joints with the “branches”. We used a drill with a rubber attachment and sandpaper. First the coarse grain, then the medium and fine grain.

Sanding is a dusty business

Once the result was satisfactory - it became smooth and the grain of the wood was clearly visible - it was time to stain. This is a mahogany color applied in four layers. After drying, we coated everything with water-based varnish. Three layers were applied at intervals of three hours.

200 mm nails were used as hooks. They were cut to the required length (they were different - longer for the top of the hanger, shorter for the bottom). The caps and rod were sanded for smoothness, and threads were cut on the lower part to the thickness of the board (25 mm). Holes were previously made in the “branches” and “hooks” were screwed into them.

Now all that remains is to fix all the parts on the wall. The walls are concrete, so we fasten them with dowels. First we attach the barrel and drill holes through it. Set aside the wood for now and insert plastic plugs for the dowels into the holes. Having placed the “trunk” in place, we screw it. Using the same technology we attach the “branches”.

It turned out well, and the color matches the door almost exactly. There are plans to build a small shelf for shoes and bags. The entire cost of making this hanger was about $6 for the boards and $2 for the nails, about the same amount was spent on the dowels. There was stain and varnish, and the consumption was small.

Simple wall hanger made of laminated chipboard

The task is to make a cheap clothes hanger on the wall (for rented apartment). Two boards of wood were purchased from a hardware store. laminated chipboard() entitled " furniture board" Two, because the price turned out to be low, and in the accessories department, where they were looking for hooks, they found some good brackets for very little money. We will use them for the second board - we will make a shelf for small items.

The tools you will need are a screwdriver or screwdriver, a drill, and a set of drills. Also, use a tape measure and a pencil to mark the places where hooks and brackets are attached.

After unpacking the boards, glue stains and some other incomprehensible stains were found on them. All this can be eliminated with a solvent. Take a soft white (not colored) rag and wipe everything well.

Next, mark with a pencil the places for the screws. Remove the hooks and drill holes. Drill - 1-2 mm smaller in diameter than the diameter of the self-tapping screw. The hole is necessary so that the work goes easier, and also so that the surface does not crack when twisting. We put the hooks in place.

Now it's the turn of the shelf. I set aside equal distances on one side and the other, attached the brackets, and marked the holes for fasteners. Drilled holes and installed brackets. All.

Now we attach it to the wall. The technique is the same, but with dowels: apply, mark the attachment points, drill. The drill is the size of the dowel. We insert the dowel plug into the hole, attach the hanger/shelf to the wall, and fasten it.

This DIY wall hanger was made in two hours (including the shelf).

Hanger with shelf

You can take the idea as a basis and use any other “hooks” and stops. This DIY wall hanger is made from two 25mm planed boards, two carpenter's squares and five hammers.

The wood needs to be dry, otherwise cracks may occur. Instead of squares, you can even use triangular pieces of a similar board. Important condition- Availability right angle. And instead of hammers, you can even fasten knots or, for example, cut wooden hangers, or any hooks. This option is just a gift.

Spare parts - hammers and squares

The two boards must be the same length. An exact match is important. Having adjusted the length, we sand the edges. There is a drill - we take the attachment, attach the emery and sand first with coarse grain, then with medium grain. Then we start marking. First, we mark where the stops will be attached. We divide the remaining distance by six, put marks - there are five of them. Just according to the number of “hooks”.

We mercilessly cut off the handles on the hammers. We cut it slightly obliquely to create a slight slope.

Using a drill, make holes in the center. The diameter of the drill is 1-2 mm smaller than the fastener used, the depth of the hole is no less than the length of the self-tapping screw.

The two boards must be connected at right angles. The installation step of the screws is 10-15 cm. We mark the places on the sidewall and transfer them to the end. High accuracy is required. We apply one to the other and transfer the marks with a finely sharpened pencil. We make holes according to the markings.

Drilling holes

We fold the boards at an angle of 90° and connect them with self-tapping screws. First we twist the two outermost ones, then the one in the middle, and then all the rest. The length of the screws is at least 75 mm (triple the thickness of the board).

Using the markings, we drill holes for the hooks.

We install angle stops. Since carpenter's squares were used, there were no holes in them. They were drilled - two at the top and bottom on each plank. There are 8 screws on one stop. We take them small - more than 20 mm, so as not to puncture the wood. Therefore, a large number of them are required.

The wooden wall hanger is ready. All that's left to do is paint it and hang it on the wall.

Based on this homemade hanger other options were made.

Drawings and ideas for DIY

A simple hanger option for making yourself

Reading time ≈ 7 minutes

There are hallways different sizes: both small and spacious. However, the constant attribute of this room is the hanger. This item can be made from various materials, and on how to make a wall hanger in the hallway with your own hands from wood with step by step photos instructions and drawings, let's go into detail.

What is a hanger for?

This interior detail performs several functions:

  • Clothes storage. The hanger does not allow things to wrinkle, as a result of which they always look neat and are located in their places;
  • saving time. You can visually determine where and what item is located, which saves time on searching;
  • rational use of space in small hallways.

In shape, size and design hangers can be very different. In addition to simple designs, there are also products that are used as a decorative element, which gives the design a certain charm. Options with a shelf for shoes or hats, as well as with an ottoman, make the use of hangers more convenient.

Such hangers will be especially appropriate for small corridor, where it is not possible to use furniture as in the photo due to the size of the hallway.

Step-by-step instructions for making a wall hanger for the hallway

Materials such as chipboard or wood are especially popular when constructing home hangers. This is explained by ease of processing, strength, ease of installation and reasonable cost of the material.

The hanger should be reliable enough to hold even a large weight of outerwear.

Tree view

To create such a product, you will need the following list of tools and materials:

  • jigsaw;
  • hacksaw;
  • blowtorch;
  • sandpaper;
  • hammer;
  • pencil;
  • roulette;
  • board;
  • fasteners;
  • hooks

Consider a master class on making a hanger:

From longitudinal and transverse boards

In appearance, this hanger design resembles a lattice. It consists of vertically and horizontally located boards.

You will need several boards for assembly. Their number and length depend on the size of the hanger you need.

It is advisable to choose boards 10-20 cm wide and about 1 m long.

When the issue with the size is resolved, use a hacksaw to cut the required number of blanks. If desired, they can be given any shape.

To ensure that the surface of the boards is even and smooth, the material is processed on a jointer and sanded with sandpaper. Special attention given to the edges. The next step is the unfolding of the first layer. In this case, the boards are placed parallel to each other with the same gap. Then lay the second layer of boards across and secure them with self-tapping screws.

The hooks are mounted to the boards located in the upper part. If the pieces of wood are fixed vertically, it is advisable to install the hooks at the top in one row. If the outer part of the hanger consists of vertical boards, then the hooks can be attached to each plank.

Simple wall design

To make the product you will need the same tools as in the previous versions. The decor is performed in any of the desired ways.

The manufacturing process itself comes down to the following steps:

You can learn more about constructing a wooden hanger from the video:

There is no need to attach the hanger to a plastered wall, as the clothes will get dirty. It is better to first cover the surface with a sheet of plywood.

The design considered is suitable not only for the hallway, but also for any other room in the apartment. Having made the decor in the form of cartoon characters, the product can also be used in a children's room.

How to make decor

Hangers can be made in original ways interesting decoration. The options may be as follows:

In order to cover a wooden surface with one material or another, it must be cleaned of any contaminants (dust, grease, etc.). For these purposes, you can use sandpaper or a brush.

To fill microcracks, use a primer, which is applied with a brush or roller.

To finish a hanger with glisal, the material is diluted with water in accordance with the instructions. Then the workpiece is coated with the prepared composition, creating a pattern with a textured sponge. The work must be carried out quickly, since the coating will harden within half an hour. To age the surface, use craquelure.

Using decoupage wooden products You can give it a look that will suit almost any interior. Most often, this method is used when there is a desire to age the surface or create complex patterns.

The selected design is cut out with scissors, after which glue is applied and the paper blank is applied to wooden surface, expelling air bubbles. Then the product is coated with furniture varnish and left until completely dry.

Homemade hook options

Hooks are an integral element of any hanger. IN homemade structures they can be made from any available materials or tools. Let's look at some ideas.

A hanger with hooks made of spoons and forks will look original. To do this, just bend them and fasten them to the board.

Another option is to drive metal spikes into the board. The hanger's appearance is simple, but attractive.

Hangers with hooks for clothes made from knots look especially interesting. To make them you need to select suitable material, sand and coat with paint or varnish.

In order for a wooden hanger to last as long as possible, you should follow some recommendations when making it:

  • to avoid the formation of cracks in the wood when screwing screws, you must first make holes with a drill;
  • The diameter of the drill should be smaller than the screws. Before screwing in the fasteners, the holes are coated with glue, after which the screws are screwed in, which increases the reliability of the product;
  • at the stage of creating the drawing, the dimensions of the wall, its material are taken into account, and mounting options are considered;
  • all blanks for wooden hangers processed with sandpaper, getting rid of irregularities and burrs.

One way to make a home come alive is to fill it with original things. Even a simple furniture accessory, like a DIY hallway hanger, as shown in the photo selection, can become a real decoration.

We need to stock up necessary tools: drill, self-tapping screws, Phillips screwdriver, 2-3 drills, hacksaw, tape measure, fitting (devices for sawing boards with different angles bevel), level. To give a finished and neat look you will need sandpaper with large and fine grains, varnish, stain or paint.

Materials for a DIY hanger you will need:

  • To prevent clothes from falling along with the hanger, you need to make a stable, heavy base. Thick ones will do wooden blocks 60-70 cm long, or metal parts. You can take a support from an old artificial Christmas tree; an old heavy floor lamp is ideal;
  • you will have to choose a suitable size column in stores building materials We offer wooden components figuredly processed on lathe. Most economical option– straight trunk young tree, must be dry at the time of use. The bark is removed from it and sanded. Its height should not exceed 200 mm;
  • a set of hooks, the number should correspond to the expected amount of clothes on the hanger;
  • glue for fastening screws and additional fastening of parts (carpentry glue or other transparent glue);
  • so that the hanger does not slide on the floor, and also to level the points of contact with the floor (so that it does not wobble, to put it simply), rubber (1 to 5 mm thick) is glued to the lower surface of the base;
  • to strengthen the center of gravity of the hanger, you can attach a small shelf in the form of a frame made of solid board, installed on a support on metal corners, and is used as a shelf for bags or gloves.

Creating the Bottom

Having prepared all of the above, you can get to work - start creating a hanger for the hallway with your own hands. First you need to deal with the cross. The prepared bars are sawn in half (each hanger support must have a span of at least 30-35 cm), sanded, and joined at right angles. For a tight connection on the parts of the cross, you should use a chisel to select indentations along the width of the block, combine the selected areas, they will be tightly, motionlessly connected (see photo). Now, using a fitting, 4 bars are cut out, which will serve as the actual support for the hanger barrel; they must be screwed with self-tapping screws to the legs, as well as to the barrel.

Beam for hanger base
Future hanger legs

Before screwing in the self-tapping screw, you should drill a hole with a drill; this will protect the product from small cracks, which can significantly shorten its service life. The diameter of the drill should be smaller than that of the self-tapping screw. The holes made must be filled with glue for strength, and only then the self-tapping screw must be screwed in.

Side support parts The legs are screwed to the base of the hanger
To install the side support, use wood glue, as well as a gun or a hammer with nails

Rubber is glued to the legs of the hanger; after gluing, the product should not swing or slide - you will have to try.

Creating the Top

Now you can move to the top of the hanger and place the hooks. They should not be attached directly to the trunk; it is better to attach a small square with pre-screwed hooks on top. There is another option: 4 bars, aligned with corners sawn through a fitting, are attached to the trunk, slightly retreating from the top. A hole is drilled for each self-tapping screw and filled with glue; this is the rule for an item that will be subject to significant loads.

Now the product is finished, you can start working on it appearance. Taking sandpaper, you need to walk on the surfaces. It is better to sheathe the cross with boards, cover it with fabric - to cover the rough structure. Stain the hanger, varnish it (or paint it and varnish it too - this will preserve fresh look for a long time).

Original options

If a floor lamp is found in the house, then the work is reduced many times over. Electrical equipment must be removed from it, cleaned and painted (metal ones will give an excellent effect aerosol paints). For hooks, you can use a metal drill to make several holes and thread them through steel hooks(S shaped). If you have some skills in working with metal, bend them from steel wire and weave them.

You can also use a real tree (well dried, of course). Remove the bark completely and sand it. The roots, also cleaned and properly filed, will serve as a stand. Leave only strong branches located close to the trunk - the crown should not extend beyond the support. Such a hanger in the hallway will become a real pearl of the interior, created with your own hands. However, you need to prepare for a long search for a suitable specimen, and then for a long and very careful processing.

Combined option

Uncomplicated and interesting option, on the basis of which a variety of wall hangers to the hallway. The set of tools is given in the previous description, and the materials are as follows:

  • bars;
  • two strong boards for attaching to the wall;
  • a board with enough width for a shelf;
  • furniture corners made of metal;
  • slats (it is better to take platbands instead, choosing according to your taste; all that remains is to stain them or paint and varnish them);
  • hooks

It is better to take processed lumber, this will significantly speed up the process of assembling the product. It is extremely easy to make this hanger for the hallway; boards are attached to the wall, top and bottom. The length of these fasteners depends on the length planned for the hanger and must correspond to the length of the shelves (you need to think about the dimensions of the new furniture accessory in advance).

Slats are installed on these boards, with a small distance between them. Check the vertical position with a level. Shoe shelves are assembled at the bottom; bars are used for this. The shelves are on the floor, which will allow you to calmly sit on them later to change your shoes. It is necessary to strengthen all joints with corners, check the strength and accuracy of the lines.

A rough structure made of bars can be sheathed with slats, this will give the product a neat and finished look. Then the top shelf is installed; it should be fastened at the level of the top mounting board. The screws must fit into the support, that is, their length must be equal to the sum of the thickness of the slats and the mounting board. Beautiful wrought iron corners are suitable for this shelf, which will become an aesthetic addition to a new piece of furniture. The final step is screwing the hooks, and then treating them with stain and varnish, or painting.

The design of this hanger can be modified, for example, by expanding it with additional slats and attaching a mirror or additional shelves.

How to properly attach a mirror

If the mirror is without a frame, a solid plywood panel is screwed onto the slats; its dimensions may be slightly smaller than the mirror. The mirror is glued with mirror glue, in addition, you need to stick two strips of double-sided tape on it to fix it until the glue sets. As an additional support for the mirror, you can install a narrow shelf directly under it. If this design does not seem reliable, you can attach it using special fasteners.

Another option is a frame, like for a photo. It is made from a textured board, carefully sanded and varnished, or from a platband.

Thus, you can summarize the basic principles of making wall hangers for the hallway, and vary them as you wish. The slats can be replaced with a solid shield, which can not only be painted, but also covered (with leather, fabric, or use decoupage techniques). A little imagination, and an absolutely original, unique piece will appear in the hallway.

Mounted model

You can combine the functions of a hanger in the hallway and a small, spacious cabinet by developing a product based on a photo with several (1-3) fairly deep shelves and hooks for clothes, thus obtaining wall accessories.

To do this, using the same set of tools already mentioned, you need to prepare several strong boards good quality, with processing. Boards from old furniture– after all, wood retains its strength for many years, and furniture parts are also processed with high quality.

Having thought through the size and number of shelves, you can start working. The photo with drawings shows exactly how and in what order the assembly takes place. After cutting the boards to the desired size, you can begin assembly by attaching the side panels to the bottom shelf. Boards are attached to the back side of the sides, the number depends on their width. Their height can be calculated based on how many shelves are planned and how tall they will be.

Bearing in mind that the hanger must withstand not only an indefinite amount of clothing, but also everything that can be placed on these shelves, it is imperative to use furniture corners and strengthen the structure, without fear of overdoing it.

How to screw it correctly is described above, and in this model of hanger the reliability of all fastenings is especially important. Boards are screwed to the base, which will become shelves, and another strong board is screwed to the bottom of the frame, which will not allow things to fall out. They screw it onto it (after painting, varnishing and other finishing works) hooks.

How to hang

The structure is attached with reliable screws directly to the wall. As an option, attach 2-4 lugs for padlocks, and hang the product on them (solid fasteners are screwed into the wall using dowels). The ears are made of alloy steel, and by carefully attaching them to the hanger, you can rest assured that it will not fall soon.

Creative ideas

In fact, once you start looking at things from the point of view of their additional non-traditional functionality, you can easily make both floor and wall hangers from anything, literally from what is lying around and gathering dust in closets.

Having processed a branch picked up in the forest, you can fix it on the wall, and equip it with half a dozen hooks, use it as a hanger. A set of logs with branches attached to a shelf can also serve as a hanger in the hallway, and you can use hangers. Old cutlery can also be turned into stylish hooks. It's worth a try, there's nothing more exciting than without high costs create a comfortable space around you with your own hands.

IN cozy home It is impossible to do without a hanger - floor, wall or ordinary hangers in the closet. But in addition to its utilitarian function, storing clothes in a straightened form is also a way to show your creativity, the opportunity to do something with your own hands for household use. An original do-it-yourself floor clothes hanger or original nailed hooks in the hallway - how can you do without them? To make the simplest tremmels for jackets or horns for hats, you don’t need to be a jack of all trades, all you need is a tool and a few creative ideas.

Hanger as an art object or decorative element

To quickly clean up your home by arranging things in your closet, it is important to have enough space to easily accommodate:

  • dresses and jackets;
  • hats and caps;
  • bags and belts;
  • scarves and neckerchiefs;
  • blouses and sweaters;
  • business suits;
  • outerwear for the off-season;
  • skirts and trousers.

But for each such thing you need a special device:

  • wall hanger;
  • hangers (trempels);
  • panel or shelf with hooks;
  • clothes hanger in the hallway;
  • rings and hooks for the closet for scarves and accessories.

It’s easy to build many types of clothes hangers - with your own hands, photo:

If you look through old things from grandma's closet or chest, there are probably some pretty interesting clothes hangers in there. Vintage trempels and homemade hangers, if they do not qualify as “antiques,” may well be the basis for renovation or even become a unique art object. No matter how hard they try to transform old hanger masters of folk crafts, needlewomen and just lovers of “creative” things! For example, a clothes hanger photo.

Grandmother's hangers were made in an era when plastic or plastic products were not produced. An old wooden base can be used as original object decor, especially if there is no closet in the room. They can be transformed in any way or use any suitable technique:

  • decoupage;
  • original painting;
  • application for varnishing;
  • pasting posters, magazines, geographical maps etc.

It wouldn’t hurt to make soft “shoulders” for the knitwear on the old base so that it doesn’t slip or stretch. These simple devices It’s also easy to make “from scratch” from scrap materials. But if you need a wall-mounted base for wooden hooks or an original floor-mounted clothes hanger-rack, then you need materials, tools and woodworking skills.

Wall mounted wooden hanger

Although a wall hanger is the simplest device that is suitable for self-production, you should not make it crude and primitive. Even if you plan to use it temporarily, for example, in the country, it is still better to make it beautiful so that the wall-mounted clothes hanger decorates the house for many years.
