To create a rocket you will need:

Paint a plastic bottle and let the paint dry.


Cut out the “nose” of the rocket from self-adhesive paper according to template No. 1. Roll it into a cone and secure it to the “nose” of the rocket with electrical tape, crimping the edges.

DIY "Rocket" craft from a plastic bottle

An original rocket can be made by simply slightly changing the manufacturing technology and adding a few more new elements. So, for the next version of the rocket we will need:

  • transparent plastic bottle of rectangular shape;
  • white acrylic paint;
  • three plastic caps of different diameters and different color;
  • a plastic cup;
  • two cardboard tubes;
  • thick cardboard in red, yellow and orange colors;
  • felt-tip pens or pencils;
  • scissors;
  • hot glue.
  1. To paint a bottle, pour a little white paint into it and, closing the lid, shake well so that the paint evenly colors the inside of the bottle.   2. We color the cardboard tubes with pencils. We cut out strips of flame from colored cardboard and glue them to the tubes with inside. We glue the resulting nozzles with a flame to the bottle with hot glue.

Take three squares of white paper and roll them into three cylinders. On a white square, draw a porthole - a small circle with a simple pencil. Carefully cut out the porthole, not forgetting to remind your child about the rules for handling cutting objects.
Glue the porthole to the cylinder that you made very first.
Start assembling the space vehicle: fix the nose part, then proceed to design the “tail” - fix three small ones at the bottom of the large cylinder.

How to make a rocket craft using origami technique

Option #1

This craft is perfect for celebrating Cosmonautics Day. It is made using the modular origami technique and will appeal to older children. Prepare 10 pieces of paper squares with a side of 10 cm for folding.

Fold the square so that you get a pair of rectangles, then four squares. Fold the four corners towards the middle, turn the figure over and fold the four corners towards the middle. Fold the corners to the middle again, but not all of them, but only the top layer, at this time the backing layer should come forward. That's how you made a module called "squared star". Insert the finished modules into one another, gluing them together. Glue the bottom row consisting of four “stars in a square”. Glue three more rows on top, and then connect the entire body. Of course, you can’t do without the nose of the aircraft - to do this, roll up a paper cone.

As an addition, you can also make legs by gluing modules to the base. Now you have a wonderful origami rocket!

Start assembling the origami rocket by preparing the mold. Draw or stick on portholes.

Assemble triangular modules into columns and lay them out along the contour of the aircraft. If in the future you do not plan to disassemble the structure, then you should glue the outer modules to paper. Some blanks should be opened and added to the structure in this form.

Children's craft rocket

Great value for child development has a modeling process, because such an activity is also useful for fine motor skills, both for attention and for perseverance. Of course, modeling will give children the joy of creativity.

Let the child choose the plasticine block he likes; he will need to roll it on the glossy surface so that the block acquires oval shape. Secure it vertically to the board, flattening one end and squeezing and pulling the other so that the end becomes pointed.

Take another block and roll small balls, attach them to the body, placing them in a row. Another block will be useful for rolling a long sausage; it will need to be divided into four equal parts - these will be the legs. Attach the legs to the flattened end of the spaceship.

DIY rocket craft - postcard

On February 23 or on Cosmonautics Day, a child will be able to make a wonderful rocket postcard, which will very beautifully combine the techniques of appliqué, plasticineography and origami. This master class is intended for children 5-7 years old.
On a piece of yellow paper, draw lines 1 cm thick (use a ruler and pencil to ensure the lines are straight). Carefully cut out the paper strips.

Fold a white square with a side of 8 cm in half, fold the upper part of the figure 2 cm towards the center, and also fold the upper right and left corners towards it to form a “house”. Fold the right edge back toward the center, leaving the “roof” unchanged. Do a similar manipulation on the other side of the “tinker”.

Start opening the “doors” of the house: bend them in the middle from the center to the right, iron the edges of the door carefully and carefully. Do the same with the left side of the “house” - and you will get an origami rocket. Glue it by the nose and wings onto a sheet of colored cardboard. For work, it is best to use a glue stick.

The next step will be to design the tail zone of the spacecraft - to do this, fold the yellow paper strip like an accordion. Glue three pieces of blanks to the tail part. In this case, only both ends of the strips should be coated with glue, this will allow the craft to be more airy.

At the top of the rocket, draw a porthole with a felt-tip pen. To make clouds, roll cotton wool into small balls and glue them using PVA glue. To decorate the sky, use plasticine of various shades - roll tiny balls and attach them in a chaotic manner. There you have it, a wonderful postcard.

Craft a rocket from a bottle

The shape of a plastic bottle is ideal for such creativity, which is why you should definitely use this waste material, which can be found in every home.

The first step is to cut off the bottom of a plastic bottle and put it aside - it will no longer be needed for work. Draw a circle on the surface of the plastic and cut out the porthole.

Make a cardboard cone that will act as a rocket nose and glue it to the neck of the vessel. Cardboard is also useful for cutting out the window frame and tail, and also twist the nozzles from pieces of cardboard.

Paint the rocket and all elements in required colors, wait until it dries completely. Glue the missing elements. Don't forget about the flame that comes out of the nozzle - use thin strips of tissue paper for this purpose. So the rocket from a bottle with your own hands is ready - such a craft will take its rightful place at any exhibition.

Here's another unusual one interesting option- water. By the way, we will tell you how you can launch such an aircraft. Make a cone out of regular green colored paper. The radius must be large enough, because this cone will subsequently have to fit onto the plastic bottle. Of course, this part will need to be fixed so that it does not unwind at the most crucial moment. To do this, wrap the entire cone with tape to make the part more dense.

Take the regular one plastic container, preferably white. Turn it over and attach a cone to the bottom. If it “sits” tightly, good, otherwise it would be better to glue it. Please note that ordinary PVA glue will not work for this work; you need to find a more reliable option.

Cut out four paper triangles and glue a bottle rocket to the prize for the supports.

So, how can you launch such a wonderful “tinkerer”? The first step is to fill the bottle with ordinary water to about a third of the volume. Take an ordinary bicycle pump, insert the pump hose into the neck (if there is a gap, i.e. the hose is smaller in diameter than the neck, then a hole of a suitable diameter should be cut in the plug, i.e. the hose should fit tightly enough). Insert the hose far enough so that it comes out of the water inside the vessel. If you want the rocket to fly very far, then hold it while pumping, and then release it when you pump up the air. Do not pump too hard. Pressure builds up in the container and then your water craft will take off, and the water will naturally pour out.

Craft a cardboard rocket

The simplest version of a cardboard “tinkerer” will satisfy even the smallest ones. The first step is to transfer everything to a cardboard sheet necessary details, then cut them out. Also use the roll from toilet paper- the necessary small cuts should be made in it.

Connect all the pieces together and glue the decorated paper to aircraft. You can also glue a cocktail tube to the craft - then you can stretch a thin rope around the room and arrange real launches.

Here's an option for students primary school, it will be more complex. Cut out the parts according to the templates; use colored cardboard as the material. Roll a colored paper sheet onto a toilet paper roll and bend the ends inward.

On one side of the cardboard roll, use scissors to make 4 slits, the length of each should be 2.5 cm. Insert the required two parts into the slits.

On paper sheet draw a smiley face, cut it out and glue it to the rocket body. In the circle part, make a slot to the center. Roll the cone and fix the part in this position using the cone.

Tie the ends of the candy together with a thread and secure the candy inside the rocket body. Secure the cone to the top. Attach strips of corrugated paper to the rocket “supports” using the same stapler. If you wish, you can further decorate the “homemade product”, for example, glue numbers, draw some kind of ornament with a felt-tip pen. Now you know that such a pastime will bring only positive emotions and will serve to develop accuracy and concentration.

The idea is not new; water rockets are very popular in foreign countries; there are even special championships for launching these things. You can buy them in the store, or you can make them yourself. Let's talk about this.

The principle of operation of a water rocket is extremely simple. You need a plastic bottle, one-third filled with water, a bicycle or car pump, a nipple and a launch pad (launcher) on which the rocket is fixed. The pump pumps air - the bottle flies high and far, splashing water around. All the “fuel” is squeezed out in the first moments after launch, and then the rocket flies along a ballistic trajectory (therefore, the center of gravity is moved as far forward as possible).
But the technical variations in the manufacture of this design can be very different. Some amateurs create real masterpieces:

Let's consider one of the simplest options.

1. Choose a bottle

The rocket should not be too long or too short, otherwise the flight will be crooked or not take place at all. The optimal diameter/length ratio is 1 to 7. A volume of 1.5 liters is quite suitable for the first experiments.

2. Select a cork

You will need a valve stopper for lemonade or any other drink. This will be the rocket nozzle.

It is important that the valve is new, not worn, and does not leak air. The best way to test it in advance is to put the cap on the empty bottle and squeeze tightly.

3. Attaching the nipple

You need to make a hole in the bottom of the bottle and fix the nipple in it, with the “nose” facing out. The main thing here is to achieve the highest possible tightness: tighten the clamping screw to the maximum, you can experiment with glue or plasticine. The bottle should not allow air to pass through.

4. Cut out the stabilizers

In order for the rocket to fly smoothly, it must be installed correctly. The easiest way is to make a stabilizer (legs) from another plastic bottle. To do this, the bottle is cut in half and straightened. Then, on this flat surface, draw the contour of the stabilizer, provide a backlog for attaching to the rocket body.

Now cut out the stabilizer along the contour and glue it to the rocket with tape.

The picture also shows a weighted rocket body; this author used a cut-off part of another bottle with a weight-bolt in the cap. In fact, there is complete scope for imagination and experimentation; you can accurately determine the optimal load in the head of your rocket only after several launches. The shape of the legs can also be different, for example, you can use the top of a plastic bottle, attach plastic legs to it, and place the rocket itself inside:

As for the launch pad, you can get creative here too. Someone's cooking complex designs with a guide axis, some cut out special devices from wood, while others simply fix the rocket on a flat surface using improvised means.
In principle, the simplest water rocket after the described steps is already ready. You just need to take with you more water, a pump and an assistant: he will hold the rocket with the plug down and press the valve with his hands while you pump the air with the pump. It is recommended to pump 3-6 atmospheres into a 1.5 liter bottle (in this sense, a car pump is more convenient), then disconnect the hose and release the cap on the count of “three or four”. The rocket has been launched! It flies quite high and impressively, and most importantly, the whole process is not life-threatening. True, the assistant usually has to take a forced shower from the “fuel” :)
