Wooden parts and wood products

for construction. Part 1. Windows and doors: Sat. GOST. -

M.: IPK Standards Publishing House, 2002

To properly install a door in your house, you first need to calculate its dimensions. It should be noted that standard sizes doorways are clearly regulated by GOST and SNiP. This approach avoids confusion when designing private houses and multi-storey buildings. In this case, the parameters of the input and interior paintings are selected based on the convenience and intensity of their use.

Of course, when building a house, you don’t have to adhere to standards, since they are more likely advisory nature rather than mandatory. However, following the approved dimensions has its advantages:

  1. Big choice. Almost all manufacturers produce door designs of standardized sizes. Therefore, you can easily select the best door for a specific case.
  2. Budget savings. Buying a non-standard canvas will cost you 30-50% more, because a custom order involves additional labor costs in the manufacture of the product.
  3. Easy installation. The closer the doorway size is to the standard, the easier it will be to seal assembly seams.

Standard sizes of interior doors and openings

It’s good if the openings for internal and entrance doors have standard sizes, since in this case installation work will not take a lot of your time and effort. If the place to install the door frame is atypical, then you can get out of this situation in two ways:

  • make an individual order, significantly increasing the cost of the design;
  • adjust the dimensions to the existing GOST standards.

In the second case, you will need to either widen the hole in the wall, which is not always possible due to the specific design of the apartment, or puzzle over what and how to seal the doorway so that it is both reliable and attractive.

The dimensions of interior and entrance doors consist of two parameters: the dimensions of the opening and the door leaf itself. At the same time, the standards of domestic and foreign companies are different. Although these differences are small, they can significantly complicate the installation of doors. Most domestic companies in the production of single-leaf interior doors is guided by the following standards: canvas height - 200 or 230 cm, width - 80 or 90 cm, box thickness - 7.5 cm. In this case, the size of the opening in length and width should be 5-10 cm larger, which is due to the presence of wooden or metal and installation seams.

If the opening width is 110 cm or more, then it is recommended to make a double door, in which one part will be movable and the other solid.

The standard width of such structures is (in cm):

  • 30+80;
  • 40+80;
  • 50+90;
  • 90+90.

Double-leaf products are often installed in offices, mansions and cottages. In terms of strength, they are in no way inferior to single-leaf ones, of course, if purchased from trusted manufacturers.

The dimensions of the door leaf also depend on where it will be installed:

  • for bathrooms in small apartments usually doors with a width of 55 cm are used;
  • for kitchens - 70 cm;
  • for bedrooms and children's rooms - 80 or 90 cm.

Thickness interior design is no less important than height and width, since the sound insulation and strength of the canvas directly depend on it. The door thickness can be as follows (in mm):

  • standard - 35-40;
  • mounted - 20-40;
  • from solid wood with a sample of 1/4 - 35-45;
  • from pure wood — 45-55.

Entrance door sizes

Such a concept as the standard size of the entrance opening is losing its relevance every year. This especially applies to private houses, during the construction of which standardization is increasingly fading into the background.

  • if a regular one is mounted wooden product, then the dimensions will be 204x82.5 cm;
  • For metal structures- 205x86(96) cm;
  • for double-leaf products - 200(205)x160 cm.

How to calculate door sizes yourself?

Before you go to the store and buy an entrance or interior door, you need to calculate its dimensions: width, height and thickness. If you have a doorway, then everything is quite simple. To calculate the width of the future canvas, you first need to measure the width of the opening at at least three points (bottom, middle and top). After that from lowest value the assembly seams (10 mm on each side), the width of the opening and the gap between the canvas itself and the jamb (about 5 mm) are taken away. The height of the doorway is calculated similarly.

To calculate the thickness of the box, you will need to measure the thickness of the wall at three points, and then select the largest value from the results obtained.

Today, almost all companies involved in the production of entrance and interior doors are trying to standardize the dimensions of their products according to established standards. This must be taken into account when building a private house, since a properly planned building will allow you to install standard canvases, thereby saving a significant amount of money on an individual order.

Repair is labor-intensive process, which requires a responsible approach and due attention. A high-quality result is possible only with strict adherence to of a certain order actions. According to him, before finishing the walls and floors, you need to install. This design in finished form It is a fixed box made up of vertical and horizontal posts onto which the canvas itself is subsequently attached.

By purchasing internal structures for your apartment, house or office, along with constructive, functional and decorative features it is necessary to take into account the standard ones suitable for the doorway correct installation. To avoid problems and additional waste in the future.

Standards for internal door designs

The sizes should be standard, but, based on practice, most often they are slightly smaller or larger than stated. Today, almost all manufacturing companies produce standard canvases, and if the “hole” in the wall does not comply with GOST, then for non-standard sizes you will have to overpay.

Parameters provided for by the requirements specified in regulatory documents, determine different standard values depending on the purpose of the apartment premises. The canvases, produced in accordance with the dimensions fixed in GOST standards, fit ideally into the doorways of one-room apartments.

In apartments with a large number of rooms, the dimensions of the canvas at the entrance to the living room (with a double-leaf model) are 1200 in width (from two panels 600 or 400+800), 2000 in height.

Generally accepted standard sizes, which were observed during the Soviet era, are missing today. U different manufacturers they are a little different. If we consider a single-leaf model, then the parameters of door systems fluctuate in the following range (in mm):

  • height – 1900–2100;
  • transverse length – 550-900;
  • depth - 15-45.

Line production generally adheres to the dimensions presented in GOST standards. exceed the width of the canvas by 60-70 mm.

If the size of the opening corresponds to these data, then select suitable model at quite large assortment it will be very simple. But if it deviates more or less, then difficulties may arise during installation and a custom-made model will be required. Thanks to modern technologies Manufacturers can produce any standard sizes. Only in this case, the interior system will cost much more, and at the same time you will have to spend money on installation.

In such a situation, many prefer to adjust the “door opening” to fit the installation of standard internal systems. Since the “generally accepted” option is not only cheap, but also convenient in the sense that you don’t have to look for and spend money on separate parts for the box, the installation process can be limited to minor adjustments in the work.

Dimensions of doorways according to GOST in accordance with standard dimensions of door panels

Standard is an advantage when it comes to door parameters. When choosing a standard design, you don’t have to wonder how to hang other hinges or expand (narrow) the place where the canvas with the box will be installed.

Entrance door standards

When it comes to steel entrance structures, then it’s better to experiment with design, material, shade, but certainly not with size. To avoid possible modifications to the walls or the case when a non-standard one is required, which will cost almost ½ times more than standard design, you need to determine the dimensions of the door leaf. After all, they play a huge role.

In the worst case, installing door systems will turn from simple and inexpensive labor into lengthy and unpleasant work, especially if you install the structure yourself without the appropriate experience.

To determine the size, you need to measure the movable opening part of the structure and calculate the dimensions of the doorways (measuring the transverse length, height and depth).

Standard sizes of metal doors

Table of Doorways and Recessed Steelwork

The dimensions of the “wall holes”, and at the same time the dimensions iron doors in practice they do not always coincide with GOST standards.

In addition, imported standard sizes are fundamentally different from the standards adopted in Russia.

General information

  1. The width of the doorway in new buildings is 740-760, and the height is in the range of 1950-1980.
  2. In houses brickwork these indicators are 880-920 for width and 2050-2100 for height.
  3. In outdated houses, the dimensions of openings for structures consisting of one leaf can be 830-960 in width and 2040-2600 in height.
  4. In nine-story buildings built in the 70s, the “wall openings” are 1280 * 2550.

"Wall holes" in standard houses They are distinguished by a variety of types (at the entrance, expandable, narrowing, with no niches) and dimensions. Therefore, the parameters of the steel system may differ even along the riser or in adjacent entrances.

About standard sizes

In accordance with SNiP 210197 ( sanitary standards and rules about fire safety buildings and structures) in paragraph 6.9, entrance doors - exit to evacuation. According to part 6.16. of the same document, should not be lower than 1900 m, and the transverse length should not be less than:

  • 1200 mm - in the case of kindergartens, hospitals, special homes for the elderly and people with disabilities, when the number of people being evacuated is 15 people or more; when it comes to buildings of other classes of structural fire danger(except for apartment buildings residential buildings), then the number of evacuees is over 60 people.
  • 800 mm – in other cases.

Parameters of external metal structures on staircase landings and in the room before entering the internal parts of buildings must have the parameters specified in paragraph 6.29.

The width of the exit leading to the evacuation route must be such that ambulance stretchers with people can be easily carried through it.

The parameters of the input structures determine state standards, however, their standards do not apply to systems special purpose and doors installed on sites capital construction. The dimension of the canvas is determined by the dimensions of the opening. Where is it planned to be installed?

When installing new doors or replacing existing leaves for any purpose, you should know them dimensions and prepare an opening of the required size. To save time and Money It is recommended to use ready-made door blocks of standard sizes regulated by GOST for installation. The size of the doors must provide sufficient throughput depending on their purpose and location in the building.

When choosing standard-sized sashes, it is necessary to have suitable opening dimensions. This is not difficult to implement if we build new house, we install a new partition made of plasterboard or brick. When an old canvas is replaced with a new one, the product does not always fit the existing opening, and it has to be modified. Doors for various purposes have several sizes that must be taken into account when preparing the installation opening.

  1. The dimensions of the opening for installing a door block are the height and width of the building structure in which it is planned to install a new door. Another value that influences the choice of doors is the thickness of the building structure itself (wall or partition), that is, the depth of the opening.
  2. The overall size of the block is the height and width finished product V assembled form taking into account the thickness of the box elements. In this case, the size of the protruding parts of the platbands is not taken into account.
  3. When purchasing sashes in a retail chain, indicate the size of the leaf, that is, the dimensions of the opening part.
  4. Clear door clearance characterizes the throughput of the leaf and is defined as the width and height when the leaf is open 90⁰.

The standard dimensions of products and, accordingly, mounting openings for their installation are regulated by various regulatory documents. Here is a list of types of doors and regulatory documentation that corresponds to them:

  • wooden balcony blocks (GOST 11214-86);
  • internal wooden blocks (GOST 6629-88);
  • external wooden blocks (GOST 24698-81);
  • metal blocks (GOST 31173-2003);
  • blocks made of PVC profiles (GOST 30970-2002).

Let's carry out brief analysis each type of sashes to determine the size of openings in building structures for their installation.

  1. Balcony blocks in residential and public buildings There are single-leaf and double-leaf, which affects their dimensions. Single-leaf blocks have widths of 720, 870 and 1170 mm, and heights of 2175, 2375 and 2755 mm. Width double doors- 1774 and 1778 mm with a height of 2755 mm. IN in this case GOST clearly states what the width and height of the doorway should be for each product. For example, standard sizes balcony door are 720x2175 mm, the clearance dimensions for it should be 760x2210 mm. Provide the entire list of quantities here existing doors and the corresponding openings do not make sense, since the amount of clearance is determined according to the following principle: add 40 mm to the width of the product, and 35 to the height.
  2. Domestic wooden blocks They also come in single- and double-leaf types. The standard sizes (in millimeters) of these products are as follows: width - 670, 770, 870, 970, 1170, 1272, 1472, 1872; in height - 2070, 2370. The principle of determining standard doorways for these blocks is the same as in the previous paragraph: 40 mm is added to the width of the door block, and 35 to the height.
  3. The standards for external doorways of single- and double-leaf wooden blocks are determined by regulatory documentation according to the principle: 25 mm is added to the width of the product, and 35 to the height. The standard size range (in millimeters) of these products: in width - 884, 984, 1274, 1474 , 1874; in height - 2085, 2385.
  4. GOST 31173-2003, regulating the manufacture metal doors, does not standardize their dimensions. The developers are looking into this issue project documentation on a building or structure and system designers who select them in accordance with building codes and the wishes of the customer. Therefore, the dimensions of doorways must be selected individually for each product.
  5. Dimensions of products from PVC profiles are also not standardized; an individual approach is maintained to the preparation of holes for their installation.

Features of preparing openings

In the above regulatory documentation for wooden panels the clearance values are given taking into account installation according to old technology, which is still used in some places since Soviet times. Modern methods installation and a wide range of fastening and sealing materials make it possible to quickly and better hang both wooden and metal products. There is no need to comply with the clearance value specified in GOST.

The product must fit tightly into place without distortion vertically and horizontally, and then attach to the wall. The gaps between the frame elements and the wall are sealed with polyurethane polyurethane foam, and the smaller these gaps are, the better. The dimensions of the existing clearance in the wall may differ from the standard dimensions of the sashes. A narrow gap in a brick or concrete wall should be trimmed with a cutting wheel for stone and concrete.

In this case, it is necessary to maintain a strict vertical line, having first drawn a cutting line with a pencil along construction level. If the gap is wider than necessary, it can be increased. This is a more labor-intensive operation, especially when it is necessary to build up part of the brick wall to install an external steel sash. When installing internal sashes, the problem is solved using plasterboard systems or by adding wooden beam, which will then hide under the trim.

IN last years Interior arched openings have become very popular. They are filled with doors of the same arched configuration, or simply left with a free passage. The creation of such a clearance is achieved through the installation of plasterboard systems, and not by the destruction of reinforced concrete lintels. Galvanized metal U-shaped profile cut along the entire length every 4-8 cm and carefully bend with a certain radius in the form of an arch, after which they are installed in the upper part of the gap and attached to the wall. The result is an arch that is sewn up with a plasterboard sheet.

Preparing the opening for the installation of a new door is an important part of the installation process. This operation determines how correctly and securely the door leaf will be hung, and its service life.

If you decide to replace the old installed door block to a new, beautiful and modern design, make sure that the product is made in accordance with GOST. Many people believe that the size for door products is taken at random, according to the opening in the wall, but this is not so. All interior doors are manufactured to dimensions in accordance with GOST 6629-88, which includes common standards for the width of interior doors. When performing installation, you should first study GOST for installing interior doors.

Before you choose new door, calculate carefully inner dimensions opening in the wall, since its parameters play a big role in the choice of canvas. Depending on the type of door product, the width standards may differ. But this is not scary, since GOST provides for these nuances.

Standard sizes according to GOST

When are measurements taken? internal space opening, then according to GOST several sizes are taken into account at once. The height, width of the opening, its thickness, as well as weight are taken into account future design. The dimensions of the hole in the wall will be larger than the parameters of the finished door, since the entire interior structure along with door frame. If, nevertheless, the internal dimensions turn out to be larger than the product already purchased, then in order to produce final alignment walls, use brick, but do not forget about the weight of the product. Before installing the box, thoroughly prepare the wall surface and remove all loose elements.

One of the main and, as a rule, the first structural elements to be installed is the box. According to GOST, the box has the same internal dimensions as the canvas itself, but they will be wider in width by exactly the thickness of the gap. If the box is not provided with a technological gap, the door will be difficult to open and close. In some cases, one width of the slats is not enough, therefore, according to GOST, in order to increase free space supplements are applied.

The door itself is installed next after the frame. It becomes the highlight of the new design. A door and frame made in accordance with GOST will bring unique decorated elements into the room. Since sizes vary different directions, let’s consider the main parameters that influence them:

  • The width of the door is the first and most important size. According to GOST, a standard door leaf for interior design has a width of 70 and 80 cm. small apartments In order to save free space, doors are often made with a leaf width of 60 cm, but they are mainly installed in the bathroom or toilet. For entrance doors, the width according to GOST is 90 and 100 cm, so that it is possible to carry large-sized furniture or equipment into the opening;
  • product height. Since most of the apartments were built back in the Soviet Union, the dimensions of the doorways in them remained standard, and vary from 190 to 210 cm. The average according to GOST is the height of the doorway equal to 200 cm. It is important here not to forget about the future flooring and, accordingly, leave the necessary gap for this. Otherwise, the door will cling to the floor;
  • door leaf thickness. This is a minor parameter, since it is rarely taken into account when choosing a specific door model. Thickness affects the sound insulation and weight of the structure. This indicator, like the width, is reflected in GOST.

Double-leaf interior doors

If the room has large dimensions, then swing double doors will look amazing wooden doors. For such products, the use of two canvases is provided, made according to the standard and GOST, the dimensions of which depend directly on the version of the door model and opening.

According to GOST, the opening width of such door structures is 120-150 cm. Thanks to these dimensions, it becomes possible to install a double door that meets the needs of consumers. If the opening is small, but you want to install a spectacular door, then you can make one leaf smaller. This design is very functional.

A small canvas can be made blind, this is not prohibited by GOST, or with the possibility of opening in rare cases, for example, for bringing a sofa or other large items into the house. The width of such a fabric, according to the GOST standard, is equal to half or a third of a normal product. The second part acts as a full-fledged door leaf. When using two identical sashes, the opening width increases several times, which makes passage easier for large quantity visitors.

As for single doors, the height standard for this option ranges from 200-210 cm. When the house has large ceilings, to create an impressive visualization, their height is increased by including a special insert. Its installation gives the doors a luxurious appearance and facilitates the work of the canvases. It is not uncommon for this kind of door products to be found in the mansions of wealthy people.

Individual offers

Interior door products manufactured according to the standard and GOST have found application in houses and apartments of old century-old buildings. But in some modern projects one has to deviate from this standard. Thanks to the production of door products according to individual orders and offers can be installed new design solutions. Often, a wall constructed of plasterboard is used to enlarge or reduce the door frame. Doors of various widths and shapes can be attached to it; the main thing is not to overdo it with the weight of the product. Since a plasterboard wall does not have the same strength as a concrete one, the sashes are chosen with less weight or from a different material. Most perfect replacement For swing doors in this case, sliding systems will be installed.

Since in this case the door products are not made according to the usual standard and GOSTs, pay attention to their changing parameters. These include the height and width of the door.

It is advisable to only increase the height in such products, especially in houses and apartments with high ceilings. This size of door leaves visually increases the passage many times over.

To change the width, there is only one condition - a uniform distribution of the load on door frame. If it is necessary to increase the opening by more than 2 m, care should be taken to install a special support. It acts as a bridge between door leaves. If the internal dimensions do not allow you to roam freely, then you can reduce them to 55-60 cm, while simultaneously lightening the entire structure.

Door frame dimensions

After final selection door design determine the remaining elements. Since it is the box that serves as the basis for the construction of the canvas, it will be important to correctly calculate its dimensional part.

Based on GOST, you can increase the height of the frame with the door by 15 cm. Door width You can also increase it in both directions, but we must not forget about the gap from the box to the wall. Here the norm is 10 mm. It is necessary for reliable installation of the tray. The door leaf is made several centimeters smaller than the frame, so that during operation it does not rub on the floor. When installing new interior doors, the thickness of the leaf should match the thickness of the door frame. When installing interior doors, adhere to SNiP and GOST installation standards.

If interior doors are made and installed in accordance with GOST requirements, then long time will delight the owners with their individual look and excellent characteristics.
