And it’s doubly pleasant to work on a site that also pleases the eye with its cleanliness, neatness and individual beauty. Of course, afford to purchase garden decor items or services landscape designer Not many people can afford it, and therefore you should know that doing your own gardening is much easier and more valuable. And in this article you can find understandable and detailed algorithms for their manufacture for yours.

DIY materials for the garden and vegetable garden

Absolutely anything that is unnecessary in the house or that has been hidden in the closet for a long time can be used as a raw material for the manufacture of decorative elements, and therefore it’s time to look for priceless things among the seeming trash! So, you should collect empty bottles different sizes, paints, building materials (gypsum, cement, polyurethane foam), various containers (barrel, trough, wheelbarrow, pan), and even trampled shoes or a broken chandelier.

Remember that literally anything you find will work for creativity, because with a little imagination, a supply of enthusiasm and simple handicraft techniques, any thing can be turned into amazing craft for the garden and vegetable garden. For example, you can make wonderful figurines and figurines, organize flower beds and shrubs in the form interesting compositions, update all the items in the yard, starting with the bench and ending with the cladding of the house, lay paths of decorative stones between the beds, and set up a flower garden with real flowers in a quiet corner of the yard. This way, you can create a charming atmosphere in your garden, in which it will be doubly pleasant to work.

Garden crafts made from plastic bottles

For such work, you should choose the most affordable materials, so that homemade projects for the garden can become your favorite way to spend time, into which you can put all your inspiration. For example, from ordinary plastic bottles You can make a donkey of different sizes as a symbol of the hard work of the garden owners, and beginners in this kind of creativity can try to make simple lampshades for lanterns.

So, first you just need to cut off the top part of the bottle with the neck with a knife, and give the lower edges of the workpiece the shape of petals, so that, in the end, the lampshade looks like a tulip bud. We put it aside, and at this time we cut out leaves from the extra walls of the bottle, dip them or paint them with a brush in green color, and the flashlights are red, orange, purple, etc. We screw the lid on the neck, make a small hole in it, and pull a strong thread or even a string through it. Now all that remains is to “string” a couple of leaves on it and secure it inside the flashlight LED light bulb and hang it on a support. Believe me, these will look very cute on tree branches near benches or on the porch of your house.

Donkey with flowers

To implement this idea we will need:

  • 1 bottle with a capacity of 5 or 8 liters, 3 - 2 liters each, 4 identical - 0.5 liters each and 1 container with the shape of a barrel or a closed cylinder;
  • gray and red paints;
  • ribbon (4-5 m), artificial flowers and plastic eyes for toys;
  • black cord or a coil of thin cable (3-4 m);
  • self-tapping screws and tape for fastening parts.

So, to begin with, we cover all the bottles, except two two-liter ones, with gray paint and leave them to dry in the sun, after which, using tape and screws, we connect the structure into the one shown in the photo of handmade garden crafts. Immediately after this, we cut off the two lower parts from the remaining bottles and cover them with contrasting color paint - these will be our flower pots. Now we decorate our donkey: we make a curly mane and tail from a cord, a bridle from a ribbon, and ears from the walls of an extra bottle. We attach “pots” with artificial flowers to it, and then put our donkey in the shade strong wood on the site or at the entrance to the veranda.

Crafts for the garden from tires

This material is much less common than plastic bottles and is quite difficult to handle, but it can be used to make very interesting homemade product for the garden in the shape of a crocodile. It should be taken into account that even an inspired woman is unlikely to cope with this matter, and therefore you need to call your friend for help. strong man so that he “cuts” the tire into sections, helps you cut out all the parts and cuts out a large wooden block.

Now let's get to work ourselves:

  1. Using nails, we attach a long strip of rubber to the block, forming a back, insert triangular “teeth” and “legs” between them, as in the photo, and also cover the sides with rubber.
  2. Now we make the head: it consists of two open jaws and bends for the eyes, into which we later place bright table tennis balls.
  3. We glue it with tape to internal parties jaws, “teeth” cut out of thick white cardboard, the mouth cavity is painted pink, and the crocodile skin is painted dark green.
  4. We place our crocodile in the grass, but in a more visible place, so as not to inadvertently scare anyone.

Crafts with floral motifs

Flowers and textiles create a bright, charming and cozy atmosphere best of all, and therefore you can make unusual ones as crafts for the garden. Yes, for climbing plants as a support, you can use an old chandelier, brought into proper shape by washing and painting, but for flowering ones, instead of trivial pots, you should choose a broken cart, paint cans, and simply decorated wooden boxes.

In addition, you can make garden path tiles in plant forms. For example, you can spread it on a hard surface large leaf burdock, and coat it with a thick layer of diluted cement on top. After drying, they can be painted, the failed edges can be sharpened, and then literally buried 1 cm deep into the ground in the form of a path. And if you make such a slab on a sand mound, you will get a wonderful bowl for water or fruit in the garden. Ready-made stones can simply be painted in solid colors or in the shape of bugs, and then scattered throughout the garden or near the pond.

Crafts from glass bottles

There is no need to repeat once again that imagination is, in principle, limitless, and you can do whatever your heart desires. And although glass bottles In terms of polarity, they are a level lower than their plastic counterparts; crafts made from scrap materials of this type are simply amazing. Glass is much more textured and interesting and looks more stylish. We offer you the top 5 most common ideas.

1. Vases. Beautiful bottle made of colored glass is already decorative in itself. It can be painted in two ways: from the inside or outside, by sewing or knitting a beautiful cover, covering the surface with applique or painted with stained glass paints, pasting it with twine, decorating it with beads, etc. If you don’t like the neck, you can cut it off with a special device or using heating, you just need to be careful.

Crafts from plastic bottles

There is plenty of such material in any home. After all, the lion's share of drinks is sold in plastic bottles, and it takes a very long time to talk about what can be made from them. The topic of children's toys and crafts deserves special attention (further in the text). Plastic is a universal and durable material; it is not afraid of either the sun or moisture. Where can we use this raw material, which we have in abundance? Firstly, these are construction projects. Nowadays, craftsmen and visionaries make absolutely everything from lightweight containers (from greenhouses to gazebos and even houses), and I must say, the result is very interesting buildings. If this is too global for you, then try making some furniture: an armchair or pouf. Such crafts made from scrap materials will not only bring something new to the interior, but will also surprise guests.

Containers of various shapes make wonderful wallets, boxes, caskets and chests for storing various small items. And some designers have long been using plastic to create entire collections of jewelry: bracelets, brooches, necklaces, etc.

PET bottles, similar to glass ones, can be used to fence flower beds, create borders, flower vases, etc. In addition, the material has one very significant advantage - pliability and plasticity, you can literally “sculpt” what you want from it .

Crafts from pine cones

Surely many remember how in childhood, together with their parents, they made deer and little men from acorns, hung them on christmas tree real fir cones, made a panel of maple leaves. Now you can do this not only with children, but also on a very serious level. Crafts made from scrap materials with descriptions of methods for making them have become extremely popular; there are many master classes and video tutorials. It seems difficult only at first glance, look around and you will find a huge number of beautiful snags, branches, cones, etc.

Fir or pine cones are a 100% attribute of winter decor and Christmas and New Year. Impeccable in their form and natural beauty, they look great in the interior as individual decorations (on a Christmas tree, garlands, compositions and installations) and in various kinds of crafts. It is enough to sprinkle them with artificial snow or silver or gold paint. On the eve of the holidays, you can use them to make wreaths on the door or for candles.

Acorns will look no less original and interesting in this context, which can also be used for panels with other natural materials(leaves, nut shells, seeds, etc.), making ikebana, pasting photo frames or albums, for example. Anyone can make such original and festive crafts from scrap materials with their own hands, just show a little patience and diligence.

We use dry branches and trees

How many amazing interior items can be created from old dry branches and even trees! It is enough to look around and see the amazing in the most simple things. In the photo above you see the author’s lamp; such a creation can, without exaggeration, be called a work of art.

Just walking through the forest, pay attention to old driftwood or stumps, look at them as material for creativity. Perhaps this is a future chair or bench, table or shelf, or maybe just decorative element. Crafts made from scrap materials of this kind will harmoniously fit into any interior.

Elastic willow branches or vines are useful for weaving Christmas wreaths, baskets, vases or even furniture.

We use old tires

Used tires are a common material, you can find it in large quantities, and in completely different sizes. But what can be made from them, besides the well-known swans and flower beds? Take the example of the Korean master Yong Ho Ji, his works are impressive and completely delightful. Magnificent animals with a clear structure of each muscle are made from an ordinary wooden frame and old tires. Of course, this is aerobatics, but we also recommend that you move away from banalities and conventions. Use more bright colors and cheerful ideas, because even the simplest things can be brilliant.

Crafts made from paper and cardboard

When studying crafts for the home from scrap materials, it would be unfair not to mention paper and cardboard. One cannot help but recall the well-known art of origami. Its scale is amazing, and its technology is amazing. Especially popular in Lately modular origami, when different figures are assembled from identical parts. You can start with the most basic, gradually improving your skills. It’s unlikely that anyone would dare call such a dragon an ordinary craft.

The second most popular trend is weaving from old newspapers and magazines. Willow twigs are still a capricious material and somewhat difficult to handle, requiring certain work skills, but paper will become it an excellent alternative. It's quite simple, fast and very variable. You can weave ordinary baskets, floor vases, light furniture for dolls, nice decorative little things. Another plus is that the paper perfectly tolerates painting in any color you like.

Forks, spoons, ladle...

Cutlery that has served its useful life can be used in home decoration. They make extraordinary and bright crafts for kitchen. Make an amazing lamp or floor lamp from scrap materials.

A small old teapot or sugar bowl can easily be turned into boxes. And the designers and professional craftsmen they manage to make entire sculptures out of spoons and forks, which look somewhat post-apocalyptic, but do not lose their splendor because of this.

Crafts for the dacha from scrap materials

As you know, a dacha is the place where everything that has become unnecessary in the apartment is brought. So why not make something useful and interesting from at least half of the material at hand?

  • Bottles made of plastic and glass are suitable for paths, flower beds and small decorative buildings.
  • Natural natural materials the best way will harmonize with the natural environment without disturbing the balance. Old branches and trees, logs and saw cuts - everything is used. Using the advice of the masters, you can weave amazing animal figures, as in the photo below. Large round cuts are suitable for paths.

  • Old dishes (kettles, pots, buckets and even a bathtub, sink or toilet) - all this will make your area “alive” and unusual.
  • Shoes. Old boots or holey rubber galoshes are unlikely to be useful to you for their intended purpose, but you can use them in flower beds, and it turns out to be very fun and appropriate.
  • Old furniture is another common technique. Chests of drawers and cabinets with slightly open drawers and a cascade of flowers growing from them will decorate any garden. Or, for example, an old cart, like a flower girl’s tray, drowning in rich and bright colors.

Crafts for the playground

We don’t always have what we want in our courtyards of high-rise buildings. The playground is sometimes boring and is limited to a couple of iron structures. The situation is easy to fix with a little effort. Various crafts made from available material for the playground will delight the eyes of not only little visitors, but also their parents. The scale of action depends solely on your imagination. The leading place among materials is occupied by old tires. In the shortest possible time you can make anything out of them: flower beds, figurines, tunnels, etc. In second place are plastic and wood, in our opinion, this is more interesting and safe. You can make figurines of cartoon characters and even a New Year tree, but with original feeders Even a beginner can do it for birds.

Creativity with children

This is not only a way to spend time, but also valuable communication and development. Lots of opportunities for children's creativity offer materials such as cardboard and colored paper: from elementary applications to complex figures and locks. With older children you can do quilling.

Crafts from scrap materials made together with parents (from the same plastic bottles) often become more interesting than store-bought ones. These can be complex robots assembled from many elements of multi-colored plastic, or simple penguins painted with acrylic paints. And if you have sewing skills, then there is even more room for creativity. Any children's crafts made from scrap materials with their own hands are always fun and interesting.

The day before New Year's holidays from the same plastic bottles, cones, beads, paper, cardboard, ribbons, etc. you can create Christmas decorations, garlands and compositions.

Crafts for the garden

They can be not only decorative, but also very functional. Take plastic bottles for example - it’s no longer a secret what comes out of them good system drip irrigation on small areas. And by applying the papier-mâché technique to them, you will get gnomes and decorative mushrooms peeking out from under the trees. From old things and straw - a garden scarecrow, from willow twigs - a wattle fence (a fence that will become a real highlight), etc. Any crafts for the garden from scrap material will become its noticeable feature.

Original flower beds in old containers

There are flowers at every dacha, without exception. Even if there is just a plot for growing vegetables, any housewife will certainly plant on it at least a row of asters or a couple of peony bushes.

For example, build a picket fence from wooden sticks or weave something like a basket from elastic vines.

Look original wooden log houses– as if flowers were growing from a miniature hut.

If you did country paths made of stone, then after laying there will probably be a lot of excess material left. Why not use decorative stones to decorate your flower bed? You can simply lay them out in several layers around the perimeter, forming sides of the desired height.

For especially creatively gifted summer residents, it will not be difficult to make interesting figures from unnecessary bottles different shapes. This idea is for real craftsmen, lovers of applied arts.

Photos of garden ideas

What can you use to make crafts for your garden with your own hands? Surprisingly, anything can be used: any trash lying around that was preparing for disposal, with the use of some ingenuity, turns into a magnificent decoration country house. If you get a taste, you will find that there were very few of these bottles, tires, and boards.

There are a lot of options for making flower beds. The simplest option is when a used tire is simply placed on a flower bed, painted in some color, mostly white, and soil is poured inside on which flowers are planted. This effect can be enhanced if you approach the process creatively. You need to perform the following algorithm of actions:

  • draw cut lines on the side surfaces of the tire;
  • cut the tire along the marked lines;
  • turn out the tire;
  • decorate the resulting product.

Draw the cut lines the way you want the flower bed to look. This could be a flowerpot with a cut line in the form of a wave. This flowerbed looks very good in the form big flower, which is bordered by petals and fringe. A bowl with smooth edges will also work. Draw cut lines around the entire circumference with chalk or a felt-tip pen.

Try to cut the petals so that their size does not exceed 10 cm. If you do more, then at such a difficult stage as turning out, the rubber will not bend in these places. As a result, the handmade rubber flowerbed will not be able to take the shape of a circle. For cutting use liquid soap to lubricate the blade cutting tool. This simplifies the process itself and makes it less labor-intensive.

Turning a tire inside out becomes a stumbling block for many beginning craftsmen - it is a truly labor-intensive process. To cut the steel cord, you need to use a grinder, with which you make several cuts with outside tires. This should be done smoothly, observing the buildup on the tire. As soon as white smoke starts to appear, it means that the goal has been achieved. Repeat the operation every 15-20 cm.

This is all preparatory work to eversion. Now you need to turn out at least a small piece of the tire, after which the rest of the turning will be easy. All that remains is to decorate the tire. Use enamel or oil paints, nitro paint will also work. If there are leftovers car paint, you can use them too (photo No. 1). Once painted, glue glass aquarium pebbles onto the flower bed petals to create a dewdrop effect.

How to make a swing?

In the garden or near the vegetable garden, a swing for both children and adults would be very useful. You can again use a tire for this. The use of several tires allows you to create a design that would fully meet the requirements of a full seat.

If there is only 1 tire, then no manipulations are done with it that deform it. Leave it as is, but make several holes, making up to 4 holes on one side. A chain or rope is attached to these holes using bolts with rings. When making fastenings, make sure that the rings are on top, because the rope will be threaded through them. As a result, the tire should hang parallel to the ground (photo No. 2).

But if you have the desire and inspiration, make a full-fledged seat out of a tire. Cut off one side of the tires completely, and only cut the other side halfway. The part of the tire whose side is cut bends inward, causing the free side to lie on its side, forming something like a backrest. 2 holes are made on each side, the rings are attached with bolts.

Now let’s make a more advanced model, which also requires 2 tires. We cut off the top and bottom parts of both, leaving only the ring. We fold one in half, after which it is placed on the other crosswise and vertically. This must be done so that the folded tire rests with its back on the inside (photo No. 3). All this is bolted together to give the swing the correct shape. All that remains is to attach the rings, thread the piping and hang the swing.

These are the most simple options, which can be done using tires. But they can also produce more sophisticated forms, which will be a joy for both children and adults to swing on (photo No. 4).

Decorating the area with polystyrene foam

Swings and flower beds are good. But I want something for the soul. For this, you don’t need to go to the supermarket for a summer resident to spend several thousand rubles. Everything you need is already on the farm. You can make a pond with your own hands, and crafts from foam plastic to go with it. To do this you need to prepare:

  • old tractor tire;
  • a piece of greenhouse film measuring 2x2 m;
  • decorative stone or tile;
  • aquarium and sea pebbles.

An old tractor tire can be found in farming or a neighbor who has a tractor. The sequence of work is as follows (photo No. 5):

  1. 1 Dig a hole so that the tire can easily fit into it.
  2. 2 Place the tire in the hole.
  3. 3 Cover it with film so that the inside is lined.
  4. 4 Hide the edges of the polyethylene under the outside of the tire.
  5. 5 We cover decorative stones or with a tile along the edge of the tire, cover the rubber so that it is not visible.
  6. 6 Pour small granite and pebbles onto the bottom and fill with water.

The homemade pond is ready. Additionally, you can decorate it with ferns planted nearby or additional crafts (photo No. 6). You can also purchase a fountain device to make the pond more dynamic. But in this case, you will have to get rid of the idea of adding pebbles, because they will lead to clogging of the pump.

Suitable for decoration interesting crafts made of polystyrene foam with your own hands, the master class of which will require the availability the following materials and tools:

  • a piece of foam plastic on which a sketch of the figure is applied;
  • putty or glue;
  • screws, screwdrivers;
  • polyurethane foam;
  • dye.

It is better to make the mushroom voluminous so that it is visible in the area from afar. The hat and stem of the mushroom are cut out of foam plastic separately. A layer of putty is applied to them. When it dries, the edges are processed sandpaper from unevenness. The cap and leg are attached using self-tapping screws or putty. Start painting the mushroom acrylic paint, after which varnish is applied (photo No. 20). Foam crafts can be made more complex, in the form of a swan or some other garden figures. The foam itself allows you to make useful and beautiful crafts with your own hands.

There is a spring, but it alone is not enough. You need a place that allows you to watch it while sitting in a comfortable chair. It can be made from the same tires, and you should approach this process creatively. Use 5 old tires, a steering wheel and a plastic garden chair. Get an original garden vehicle in which you can relax while observing the site and the spring (photo No. 7). You can get by with 4 tires, without a garden chair, and it will turn out no less original (photo No. 8).

Tires are great building material, from which not only swings, flower beds, chairs and springs are made. Walls and greenhouses are made from it; the variety of figurines is limited only by imagination (photo No. 9). And if you want to do something outstanding in order to express your talents to others, then you can take a swing at such a product (photo No. 10). This is a great way to use and revitalize old wood. With their help you can furnish country house(photo No. 11).

Making from plastic bottles

Plastic bottles that were collected somewhere over utility rooms, are no less valuable material than tires. First of all, they are well suited for seedlings. Turn the bottle on its side, carefully cut off one side without touching the neck and bottom of the bottle, secure it with fishing line at both ends, add earth, and the container for seedlings is ready. The advantage of such containers is that they can be placed very compactly and conveniently on one wall (photo No. 12).

If a large number of bury bottles upside down halfway into the ground, you will get an original border that can be used to delimit the territory on the site (photo No. 13). Additionally, you can embed some figurines into the landscape to decorate it.

For example, you can make a cheerful and bright little penguin from 2 bottles. this is done as follows:

  • cut the bottom of the bottles so that their length is 10 cm;
  • connect both parts of the bottles so that their bottoms are on the outside;
  • cover the product with white paint, it is better to use acrylic;
  • Draw the little penguin’s beak, eyes, scarf, hat and traditional black tailcoat.

As soon as you have the first inhabitant of Antarctica, start making the next ones to create a flock of penguins (photo No. 14). Make your own bees for the site. Take 1 bottle and paint it in yellow. Apply black stripes and eyes with a proboscis. Make wings from the second bottle. They can be made from transparent plastic or paint it yellow. Now all that remains is to make legs from the same bottle and attach them to the yellow caps glued together (20 pieces). It will work out original composition- a bee on a flower or honeycomb (photo 15). A simpler option is to confine yourself to attaching wings and hanging the bees on a fishing line, simulating their flight.

Bottles serve as an excellent material for collecting flowerbed flowers compactly in one place. To do this, you need a stand in the form of a frame measuring 2x2 m, stretched fishing lines around its perimeter, onto which the cut halves of plastic bottles with flowers are attached (photo No. 16).

Original curtains are also made from bottles, for which you will need a large number of plastic bottles. Cut off the bottoms from them along the edge so that the result is flower-shaped blanks. Treat the cut edges with sandpaper so that they do not hurt when they come into contact with the body and look beautiful, without snags along the cut line. Heat the awl on the fire and make holes with it so that you can insert fishing lines through them. Use knots to secure the positions of the petals on the fishing line. This is done so that the workpieces do not get together in one heap. The result is an original curtain that you cannot buy anywhere (photo No. 17).

We use a pallet

Wooden pallets, in which some materials and equipment are brought, are an excellent material for making the necessary things for the garden.

Instead of throwing them away or burning them in the firebox, make a storage stand gardening tools and a garden on the wall.

To make a stand, you need to put the pallet itself in order, sand all its roughness with sandpaper. It is necessary to provide a place to store small tools and parts that are constantly lost. At the top of the pallet we cut off part of the board, do not throw it away, it will be useful as a door for a future drawer. A board is nailed above and below the door, after which the door itself is attached to the hinges and a lock is mounted. You can make as many of these boxes as you need - you don’t have to limit yourself to just one storage for small tools.

After this, give the stand an aesthetic appearance, paint it or treat it with drying oil. It would be original if you give the stand a khaki color. All that remains is to attach hooks, holders for entrenching tools, and hangers to it. You can even hang flower pots. Once the stand equipment is completed, it is attached to the wall with screws (photo No. 18).

To make a garden on the wall, in addition to the pallet, you will need the following items:

  • greenhouse film;
  • several boards
  • construction stapler;
  • tarpaulin;
  • the soil;
  • varnish for wooden surfaces;
  • flowers.

The pallet is opened with varnish, several boards are nailed horizontally behind it, after which its back part is covered with a tarpaulin and secured with a stapler along the entire perimeter. Next, you need to attach the greenhouse film to the pallet with a stapler, paying close attention to the fastening in the corners. Once the varnish is high, pour soil into the front holes and plant flowers there (photo #19). This garden looks very good next to the tool stand.
