DIY hallway: drawings and diagrams

Sometimes the assortment in stores is striking in its monotony. Many apartment owners know that choosing furniture for the hallway is very difficult. If the room is small, then the cabinets simply do not fit into it or fill all the free space. But owners of spacious hallways also find themselves in a difficult situation - the presented models do not always meet the owners’ needs and often look ridiculous in a large room.

If you cannot choose a suitable cabinet, then do not be upset and think about creating perfect furniture for the hallway with your own hands. This approach will help you save money and also get a model that suits you in all respects.

Will a novice “home master” be able to cope with such a task? Yes, the desire and presence of everyone necessary tools and materials will lead you to a positive result. Of course, it is better for inexperienced craftsmen to stick to the most simple models. But those who have made furniture more than once can create a real work of art.

To make it easier for you to deal with difficult work, we have prepared special instructions, drawings and diagrams.

?

First, you should decide on the model and dimensions. If we are talking about a tiny room, then you should not overload it with furniture - use a standard hallway with a small compartment for outerwear, shoes and necessary things.

In the spacious hallway you can place a spacious wardrobe. If the space allows, then such a closet can easily turn into a real dressing room - the dream of every woman. The costs of such a complex project increase in proportion to the size and content of the cabinet.

You may also want to consider an option that is a compromise between capacity and appearance. So, corner hallways visually look much smaller. But at the same time, the greater depth allows you to place a lot of things inside.

By selecting suitable model, you can start taking measurements and preparing calculations. Also be sure that you have all the tools that professionals use.

Required materials and tools

  • saw or jigsaw,
  • screwdriver,
  • sandpaper,
  • construction knife,
  • furniture screws,
  • roulette,
  • corners,
  • loops.

You will also need material for making a hallway. We recommend that you give preference to furniture panels. because it is made from natural ingredients without the use of synthetic resins. Such a shield is completely safe for the health of people living in the house. However, this material high price.

The more common laminated chipboard is popular. It contains bonding resins, which can negatively affect the occupants of the house if the edges laminated board will not be covered with edging. But at the same time, the material has relatively low price and excellent characteristics (easy to work with).

Do-it-yourself standard hallway: instructions, diagrams and drawings

To make such simple hallway, you will need the following materials:

  • loops - 12 pcs.
  • furniture panels - 7 pcs (dimensions 1600x400x18 mm),
  • piece of plywood 6 mm,
  • tongue and groove boards - 2 pcs (dimensions 2000x240x18 mm),
  • furniture handles - 6 pcs.,
  • three-dimensional rail - 1 piece (dimensions 3000x40x12).

We recommend that you start with a pencil case. Its dimensions are 2000x400x400 mm. The corresponding strips are cut out from the furniture sheet, as well as the top cover in an “overlapping” manner. You will also need two shelves. Assembly is quite simple. The slats are arranged parallel and fastened into the lid using self-tapping screws; shelves are also installed. For strength in the corners, the frame is fixed with corners cut from plywood.

Since two doors located one below the other are much lighter than one, this option is preferable. From the shield you need to cut two identical doors and several internal shelves (optional). Secure the doors on their hinges. You can get by with two for each door, but for reliability and proper weight distribution, we recommend using three.

The dimensions of one cabinet are 400x400x820, and the other - 820x400x490 mm. You can refuse any of them without damaging the design as a whole.

To assemble the first cabinet you will need 2 identical side panels and an internal shelf that will hold the structure together from below. The upper part of the future cabinet narrows greatly, so the lid should be noticeably smaller than the main part. All elements are fastened with self-tapping screws. If desired, you can use furniture dowels. Don't forget to pre-drill the holes and use glue.

A door for the bedside table is cut out of the shield; it needs to be secured on two hinges. But for the drawer you need runners. We recommend that you purchase the necessary items from a specialized store. You can make them yourself from plywood, but in this case the box will be pulled out rather than rolled out, which will make it much more difficult to use.

Making a second cabinet is very simple. You only need two sides and 2 internal shelves that form the frame. The internal filling of this cabinet can be absolutely anything. All parts are attached with self-tapping screws or dowels.

After this, the hallway needs to be assembled. Fasten all the elements together, and then prepare the boards. They should be beautifully located from the edge of the pencil case to the edge of the cabinet, creating the basis for the hanger. Maintain the same spacing when attaching the boards to the underside of the nightstands. To ensure that the upper part of the structure is also strong, fasten the boards with a lath. Place it at such a height that you can later attach coat hooks to the rail. If you wish, you can complement the design with a shelf for hats.

Don't forget to varnish the hallway and attach handles and hooks.

DIY wardrobe: instructions, diagrams and drawings

Making a wardrobe is much easier than it might seem. But first you need to decide on the exact meaning of this term. “Sliding wardrobe” involves a special design of doors that move on runners along the cabinet body. It can be either built-in or free-standing.

If you wish, you can make the cabinet body from plasterboard and thus hide it in a false wall. But we'll consider classic scheme manufacturing a wardrobe with side walls.

This model with dimensions 2020x625x2320 consists of several main parts.

  • The side racks should be 2288x625 mm high (these calculations take into account the thickness of the sheets of the upper and lower strips - 32mm).
  • Also large parts are the lower and upper strips: 2020x625 mm.
  • The middle vertical posts are inextricably linked to the clothes rail. As a rule, it is mounted at a height of 1900 mm, so standard size for them - height 1900 mm, width 525 mm. The remaining 100 mm is a margin for the normal functioning of sliding doors.

The filling of the cabinet can be anything. It all depends on your desires and preferences, but remember that there should be room inside to accommodate mounting systems.

It is best to order all parts from a carpentry workshop. Cut out elements the desired shape Even an experienced master cannot always do it at home.

After this, you can begin assembling the cabinet. For installation, we recommend using not only screws and dowels, but also furniture corners. The rails are installed inside the cabinet in a specially designated area (those 100mm that we left when preparing the parts). After this, you can put the door back in place and use the cabinet.

DIY corner hallway: instructions, diagrams and drawings

The problem that arises when creating a corner hallway is that careful calculations are required; the slightest mistake can cost a whole sheet of material. First you need to take measurements and check the walls. If the surface of the walls is curved, then you cannot do without a common frame. Otherwise, the walls themselves can serve as a base to which you can screw shelves. The second option is more economical and simpler, but we will consider a separate cabinet, since it is ideal smooth walls- that's great rarity.

Select the appropriate drawing. based on the size of the room, the length of the walls and the proximity of doorways. Consider the interior of the cabinet. According to the selected dimensions, make six main body elements:

  • lower and top bars,
  • back walls (2 pcs),
  • side walls (you can do without them, but the functionality of the cabinet will decrease).

Once you have the frame assembled, you can begin installing interior shelves, baskets and drawers, as well as hooks and rods.

The corner hallway can be equipped with doors on rollers, turning the structure into corner cupboard-coupe. But budget swing doors will also look good.

built-in, with wardrobe, made of wood, photos and drawings

Most pieces of furniture are quite simple in their design, which is quite reasonable. Cabinetmakers trace their craft back several centuries, but the production of furniture on a mass scale began relatively recently. And until this moment, each owner of the house made tables, chairs, beds, and cabinets independently.

You can still make furniture for the hallway with your own hands. Moreover, modern instruments and materials greatly facilitate this process.

What you will need

The furnishings in the hallway are neither ceremonial nor universal; all that is required of it is spaciousness, compactness and a neat appearance. There is a minimum of decoration here. Well, to be honest, decorating furniture is a simple and enjoyable task.

  • Chipboard is the best option for making your own cabinet or hanger. The material is easy to cut, process, is lightweight and does not require reinforced fasteners or fittings. In addition, chipboard is very affordable.
  • Plywood - although almost the same lightness, is distinguished by its high density and strength. From plywood at home you can make not only curved elements, but also ones with a slotted pattern.
  • MDF is slightly inferior to plywood in terms of strength. An undoubted advantage of the material is the possibility of various processing. MDF can be painted, stained, tinted, and so on.
  • Fiberboard is a material for the back walls of cabinets, cabinets, chests of drawers, and so on.
  • Glass or mirror – assembling a cabinet door from glass or mirror yourself is not such an impossible task. But, firstly, you will have to purchase and cut the profile yourself, and, secondly, glass is heavy, you will need at least one assistant.
  • If the decision is made to make the hallway from solid wood, then furniture panels are purchased in the appropriate quantity.
  • Wooden beam– any frame structure is assembled from timber.
  • Edged boards– pine is most often used, since it is the most affordable wood.

TO additional materials This includes plasterboard - for arranging built-in niches, and furniture edges - a mandatory element.

Depending on the type of furniture for the hallway you will need various kinds accessories:

  • guides for drawers and rails for the sliding system, if a wardrobe is being built;
  • door hinges, locks and handles, if you plan to equip a chest of drawers or a hinged wardrobe;
  • hooks for clothes - this attribute is required.

The quantity and quality of fasteners are also selected depending on what exactly is being assembled:

  • nails, screws, self-tapping screws;
  • furniture confirmations and dowels - when assembling furniture you cannot do without wooden fasteners;
  • metal and plastic furniture corners;
  • stubs.

The set of tools is quite standard: a screwdriver, a drill, a jigsaw or wood saw, a key for confirmation, a mallet. If the fastening is done with glue, and this is quite acceptable, then a clamp is definitely needed. To check verticality and horizontality, you will need a square and building level.

How to make a hallway with your own hands

The most critical stages of self-production include taking dimensions. If a mistake is made here, all the rest of the work will go down the drain.

The model of a closet, hallway or chest of drawers is carefully calculated. You can use a ready-made drawing if the dimensions are suitable for the hallway. If not, and your own experience in drawing is too small, it is better to contact a specialist and get a ready-made project to the required dimensions.

Chipboard, MDF and plywood cutting and edging are offered at most stores that sell this material. This service is relatively inexpensive and will save a lot of time and effort.

Photo of a built-in wardrobe in the hallway, made by yourself

Closet

Making a built-in model with your own hands is both easier and more difficult at the same time. Easier, because some parts do not need to be calculated and cut out. It’s more difficult, since the cabinet is “tied” to the niche, which means the project must take into account the features of the walls and floor.

The level of “embeddedness” can be different. Ideally, this is a niche that is equipped with shelves and a bar with hangers, and a sliding system. Moreover, in this case, the sashes are mounted as interior door- to the wall and to the floor. But much more often, built-in means a closet that occupies a corner of the room. In this case, one side and back wall are missing, and often the floor and ceiling are missing.

  1. The basis of such a product is wooden frame. For the case described above, two frames are required - front and side, which are assembled with screws or nails. On the frames, in places where shelves and partitions are supposed to be installed, transverse slats are fixed.
  2. The installation location of the frame is marked on the walls, floor and ceiling, and holes for fastening are drilled. On frame structure It is advisable to mark the places of fixation.
  3. First, the front frame is secured to the wall and ceiling with dowels. Verticality is checked with a level. Then install the side one.
  4. Inside the resulting niche, they are mounted to the walls wooden slats under the shelves. The shelves are cut out of plywood or chipboard. The parts are not secured, but simply laid on the slats. If desired, secure with nails.
  5. The sidewall can be sheathed with ordinary plasterboard, and then pasted over or painted to taste, or sewn up laminated chipboard. Here you can install rounded shelves. They are attached to a wooden frame, so the strength of the skin is not important. But if a hanger bar is installed in this compartment, then the side panel is sheathed with chipboard or plywood, since drywall will not withstand such a load.
  6. Sliding doors are installed last. The upper guides are mounted on the ceiling, and the lower ones - on the floor. It is very important at this moment to respect the dimensions. For reliability, use a mock-up of the door: any part the height of the door, the same sheet of drywall is inserted into the upper rail and, after checking the verticality, mark on the floor the place where the lower rail is attached. In this case, it is really better to measure 7 times.
  7. The sash is inserted into the upper tire under some pressure - the upper rollers allow this, and then into the lower one. The position of the door leaf is adjusted using adjusting screws. The sash should move smoothly and freely.

The described option is small in size and has a fairly simple device - only two compartments. If the hallway area allows, you can make a much more spacious structure, but in this case it is recommended to assemble the frame from chipboard, not bars, and connect the parts with a common floor or ceiling. The latter method is easier to implement. This design allows you to install not only shelves and a bar, but drawers, clothes lifts, and so on.

In this case, assembly is carried out on dowels - parts with each other, and confirmations - shelves. The holes for them are drilled in advance, and then the cabinet is assembled like a construction set. The work requires not so much qualifications as accuracy and patience: a lot of holes are drilled, and each corner mount must be kept in a clamp for at least a day.

The following video will tell you how to make a built-in wardrobe in the hallway with your own hands:

Regular hallway

The standard option for furnishings in the hallway is a hanger in the form of a shelf or stand with hooks, a shoe rack, a cabinet or a chest of drawers with a mirror, if there is room for it. The main element here is, of course, the hanger.

The most popular and easiest to implement option is wall-mounted. This is a shield - solid or consisting of vertical slats, which is attached to the wall. A shelf for hats is a must. Such a stand is constructed from plywood, chipboard or edged boards - as desired.

  1. At the first stage, the dimensions of the product are determined and the amount of material is calculated.
  2. The material is prepared for work: the boards are cleaned and sanded with sandpaper or a sander. Chipboard is cut to size and edged. The undoubted advantage of chipboard or plywood here is the ability to give the vertical elements different shapes, sometimes very intricate ones.
  3. The boards are opened with varnish. If you are not satisfied with the original color, then first treat it with an appropriate stain.
  4. According to the diagram, the vertical elements are secured to the crossbars with self-tapping screws. The shelf for hats is fixed with confirmations: holes are pre-drilled for them in the boards and at the end of the shelf.
  5. Secure the selected hooks for clothes. It is advisable to place them in two rows: the top ones for clothes, the bottom ones for bags and keys, or, if there are children in the house, for children’s clothes.

Making such a model original is more than simple. To do this, boards or chipboard elements are given an unusual shape, for example: slats are cut out in the form of a picket fence and hooks of different shapes are secured. No less original is the hanger, where the base is irregular shape a piece of wood, like a cut from a trunk, and the hooks are varnished fragments of branches with knots.

In this video you will learn how to assemble a wardrobe with your own hands:

And this video will help you with assembling a radius cabinet for a corridor:

Corner option

A corner module with hooks is no more difficult to make than a simple wall module. But for the stability of such a structure, it is usually assembled from solid material - chipboard, plywood, and not boards.

The classic model is a module of two parts connected at right angles, with an upper and lower rounded shelf. A rectangular shape is undesirable, since the angle visually needs to be softened. Yes, and using such a shelf is inconvenient.

  1. Manufacturing also begins with a drawing, where the dimensions are indicated and the places where the shelves are attached are marked. The latter are installed on confirmations.
  2. Chipboard is cut with a jigsaw or a hacksaw and must be edged.
  3. Holes for dowels are drilled on the front surface of one panel and at the end of the other. At the same stage, holes are drilled for the confirmations.
  4. The dowels are lubricated with glue and the sidewalls are assembled. After drying, the shelves are fixed to the confirmations.
  5. Install hooks for clothes and bags at a convenient height.

If there is not enough space in the hallway, you can attach a mirror to such a hanger by simply gluing it to one of the sides.

Drawings and photos

Photos various options hallways can be found in unlimited quantities. Unfortunately, it is impossible to judge anything other than the appearance of the models. Drawings are much more informative.

If you decide to use a ready-made drawing, then, firstly, you need to make sure that the dimensions indicated in it are suitable for the hallway. Secondly, on working diagram not only general parameters are indicated, but also the distance between parts, taking into account their thickness. If the material used in manufacturing differs in size, this difference must be taken into account.

The best version of the drawing is a diagram with a dimensional table, which indicates the parameters of each part separately, as well as the attachment points.

DIY drawings-photos of hallways

Good help are photographs of the assembly stages. Moreover, in most cases, photos are even more convenient than videos. The main thing when assembling is to understand the principle, and not to observe the process from start to finish. Below you will find photo designs of how you can make a hallway with your own hands.

It is quite possible to make furniture for the hallway yourself. The designs used here are quite simple, and the sizes are usually small. And by showing your imagination, you can always turn a hanger or wardrobe into something unique.

What furniture is needed for the hallway

The main rule for furniture in the hallway is that it should be roomy, compact, and have a neat appearance. There is no need to decorate it excessively. In addition to decoration, it has the function of storing things. You should carefully consider the size, the presence of drawers and cabinets. It’s better if there are more of them, but you need to start from the area of the corridor; there’s no need to overload.

The hooks look nice unusual shape on the wall, plus a shoe rack.

In the presence of a large hallway, a wooden bench looks original; it will add zest to the interior. A win-win wardrobe option, it will fit into any interior. And a wardrobe, if space allows - perfect solution, it is comfortable and roomy.

For small sizes, it is worth using:

  • built-in wardrobes - take up minimal space,
  • mirrors and light finishes will visually expand the space.

DIY hallway furniture

With the help of the right project, you can transform even a small area, and the hallway will look organic and spacious.

The design of this room should be combined with the interior of the entire apartment. It is acceptable to choose a different decor or floor covering different from other rooms, but stylistic direction must be united.

Practicality

When choosing a model, you should pay attention to practicality. If you have a small hallway, you should stop at standard version and choose multifunctional furniture: compartments for things, shoes.

A compromise between capacity and external beauty is a corner cabinet. It looks small, but has great depth, so it is roomy.

If you have a large family, you need to think about a place for the belongings of each inhabitant of the apartment.

The hallway is a room into which dirt rushes from the street. Therefore, it should not be done in light colors, it will quickly get dirty. It is not advisable to carry things such as umbrellas, strollers, bicycles deep into the apartment; it is worth providing a storage system for them in the hallway.

Individuality

Everything that is made with your own hands, including furniture, is always the embodiment of your ideas and desires. You can decorate the hallway to your taste and give it individuality. Such furniture will be one of a kind, and not mass-produced at the factory, and guests will be surprised by its exclusivity.

What you need for work

Having chosen a model and made a drawing, you should prepare everything that is needed for the work: material, fittings, tools.

Depending on the type of furniture, different fittings are needed:

  • wardrobe - guides for drawers, rails for the sliding system;
  • cabinet with hinged doors - hinges, handles, locks;
  • hooks for clothes.

Tools

You should stock up on the following tools:

  • saw or jigsaw;
  • screwdriver or screwdriver;
  • sandpaper;
  • with a knife;
  • screws;
  • tape measure;
  • corners;
  • loops;
  • plugs;
  • special wooden fasteners;
  • with a pipe pipe

This is a basic set that can be useful in making furniture.

We make the hallway ourselves: choosing the material

The choice of material is important; you should not choose too expensive one. In addition, it should be easy to process and safe for health.

Suitable: plywood, chipboard, fiberboard, MDF, furniture board, edged board, wooden block, drywall - they have a long service life and good quality.

  • Tree. Wood is an environmentally friendly material, so it is perfect for an apartment. It never goes out of fashion, and furniture made from it speaks of the wealth and excellent taste of the owners. A wooden hallway will harmoniously fit into any style. You can carve it, thereby adding individuality. Different species are used to make furniture: oak, birch, pine, beech, walnut. The only negative is the high price, but given the long service life, this cost will be well worth it.
  • Furniture board. Made from natural materials, therefore safe for health. Looks elegant and lasts a long time. The cost is high, but below the tree.
  • Chipboard. Chipboard is a common and convenient material for making a hallway yourself. It is simply cut and processed, weighs little, and there is no need for reinforced fasteners. With all the advantages, it is affordable.
  • Plywood...Has the same qualities as chipboard, but is denser and more durable. From it you can make not only parts with curved lines, but also a slotted pattern.
  • MDF. Slightly less durable than plywood. But it has limitless possibilities in processing: painting, tinting, staining.
  • Fiberboard. It is used only for making the back wall of cabinets.
  • Wooden beam. Designed for assembling frame structures.
  • Edged boards. Relatively expensive material; pine boards are the most affordable.
  • Drywall. Built-in niches are equipped with plasterboard.
  • Mirror or glass. Glass or mirror inserts will decorate any room, and you can’t do without a mirror in the hallway. However, they are heavy and cannot be handled alone.

Choosing a hallway depending on the type of room

When developing the design of the hallway, you need to take into account the characteristics of the room and the number of household members. You should decide on the functional accessories of the hallway so that it is practical and comfortable. With a small area, the beauty of the wardrobe will not be visible and it will look bulky. It is better to choose a corner hallway option. In addition, there should be enough shelves and hooks for all family members.

The right solution is to install furniture along long wall.

Regular hallway: instructions, diagrams and drawings

Making a simple hallway yourself is not difficult. It includes: a hanger, a shoe rack, a small pencil case or a chest of drawers with a mirror.

For this you will need:

  • loops;
  • furniture board;
  • plywood;
  • tongue and groove boards;
  • three-dimensional strip.;
  • pens.

The first thing you need to start with is a pencil case. To do this, planks of the required size are cut out of the shield, a lid for the top (with an overlap) and shelves. Assembly is not difficult - the strips are attached to the lid using self-tapping screws, and the shelves are installed in the same way. For structural strength, corners are cut out of plywood and fixed in the corners. A door is made from the shield, which is mounted on 3 hinges.

Now we make the cabinets. If desired, you can make only one cabinet. To make it, you need 2 sidewalls of the same size and a bottom that will connect them to each other. The lid should be made smaller than the bottom. All parts are fixed with glue and screws. Doors are cut out of the shield and attached to hinges. If you have a drawer, you will need runners. You can make them yourself from plywood, but it’s better to buy them (the box will roll out easily). The second cabinet is made according to the same principle as the first.

Now, the whole structure is assembled. The prepared boards are attached to the edge of the pencil case and to the cabinet - this will be the base of the hanger. The boards are connected at the top with a lath for strength. Hooks for clothes are attached to the slats, and a shelf for hats is screwed on top.

The final stage is the installation of handles and varnishing.

Corner option: instructions, diagrams and drawings

It’s easy to make a corner hallway yourself, but to make it stable, you need to use solid material: chipboard, plywood. The module consists of 2 parts that are connected at right angles. In addition, you should decide whether there will be a frame or the walls themselves will become the base. If the walls are smooth, then you can do without a frame; attach the shelves directly to the walls - this will be economical.

Manufacturing principle:

  • a drawing is made according to dimensions, areas for attaching shelves are marked;
  • Chipboard is cut with a jigsaw;
  • holes are drilled for dowels on the front side of one panel and at the end of the other, holes are made for confirmations;
  • the dowels are lubricated with glue and the sidewalls are assembled;
  • The shelves are attached to confirmations and clothes hooks.

If necessary, you can attach a mirror to the door or make sliding doors, thereby creating a corner wardrobe.

Custom hallway with your own hands: drawings and diagrams

If you have a non-standard corridor, into which the wardrobe or hallways sold in the store will not fit, you can resort to an original and simple solution. For example, the presence of a bedside table or shoe rack, plus a hanger and a mirror.

You should start with the bedside table. 2 sidewalls of the same size, a base and a lid are cut out of a furniture panel. If there are skirting boards, then the corners are cut off from the sides (on one side). The back wall is made of plywood. All parts are fastened with self-tapping screws. Runners for drawers and fastenings for shelves are made inside. The doors are screwed on hinges.

A hanger in the hallway is an element you can’t do without. It’s not difficult to make and you can give free rein to your imagination. For lovers of eco-style and everything natural, tree branches are suitable instead of a hanger. Those who prefer country style need a vintage option.

Wardrobe capabilities: instructions, diagrams and drawings

A sliding wardrobe is an excellent choice for a hallway, it can be built-in or separate. If there is a niche, shelves are mounted in it and it is equipped with a sliding system.

The process of making a cabinet with side walls:

  1. A wooden frame is made.
  2. A place for the closet is determined. Holes are made on the walls, floor, and ceiling to fix the frame.
  3. The front frame is attached to the wall and ceiling with dowels, and then the side frames.
  4. The slats for the shelves are mounted inside. The shelves themselves are cut out of plywood.
  5. The sides are sheathed with plasterboard, then pasted over or painted as desired.
  6. Guides are mounted on the floor and ceiling.
  7. The doors are installed - first in the upper tire, and then in the lower one. The doors must move freely, their position is adjusted with screws.

You can make a wardrobe different sizes and models, depending on preferences and room area.

You can really make furniture for the hallway yourself. The models are quite simple and small in size. And if you have imagination, you can turn an ordinary hanger into a one-piece and unique thing.

  • Not every wardrobe in the hallway can be made independently. For example, popular today radius cabinets very difficult to make without the proper skills and experience. Only a professional can design such a cabinet. But more simple designs, the circuits of which do not differ in any difficulties, you can do it yourself.

    Stages of work: DIY hallway cabinet

    The work, of course, is not fast. You need to act according to plan, step by step. Focusing on the plan, you will not miss anything, you will not get lost, you will have a guide to action in front of you.

    Step-by-step work plan:

    • Choosing material for the future cabinet;
    • Determination of content - description and drawings are needed;
    • Door design, including the choice of suspension option;
    • Next, choose the method of hanging the shelves;
    • A niche is being prepared for the built-in wardrobe;
    • Taking measurements, drawing;
    • Purchase of accessories, materials, as well as cuts of blanks;
    • Assembly of the cabinet with installation of internal lighting;
    • External decorative finishing.

    It turns out that the work begins not even with determining the design of the future cabinet, but with the choice of material. After all, the manufacturing principle depends on it, and with different materials will have to work differently.

    DIY wardrobe in the hallway: choice of material

    Wood is considered a traditional and now very prestigious material. But is it suitable for a wardrobe? Judge for yourself, the humidity in the niche, whatever one may say, will be above average, the tree will inevitably begin to warp. Well, the decorative role of wood in the case of a wardrobe is also questionable.

    But if you firmly decide - wood, and nothing else, choose straight-grained wood, without knots, strands and cracks, seasoned and thoroughly impregnated with drying oil, and also WPE (water-polymer emulsion).

    Next view material – plasterboard. It is easy to work with, it is cheap, but you should not forget about the fragility of this material. However, it is intended for finishing works and cannot be part of the supporting system. That is, he cannot hold something on himself - something must hold him.

    The most suitable materials are laminate, fiberboard and MDF. These materials include the beneficial properties of wood, but they are insensitive to gradients and humidity changes. Take medium or high density fiberboard.

    The filling or internal filling of the cabinet is its internal layout. Today it is easy to find the best option that will meet all your needs. There are many examples on the Internet - filling options shown from different angles. This is very convenient if you yourself have not yet decided what the filling will be.

    The following rules apply when filling:

    • The raw stuff is placed aside, separately;
    • The necessary and small things should be before your eyes;
    • Place dry items higher;
    • And valuables should be in boxes.

    Let's look at examples. It would be wrong to make a section for outerwear in the middle. Then the dampness will definitely go to the sides. If you make a section on the side, the moisture from the clothes will be directed outward.

    We are drawing up a design for a wardrobe in the hallway

    Of course, the process of creating projects has been simplified - there are many Internet services where, using given values, the program creates a project. You can also take a ready-made project that suits the characteristics of your hallway. But there is another option.

    Rather than ordering a cabinet “from scratch” from one company or another, it will be cheaper to order the blanks to be cut. Many furniture makers today have computer-controlled robots - such an acquisition pays off well. In a word, no matter how equipped a furniture workshop is, in almost every city it offers the service of cutting blanks. And this significantly saves your money.

    Still, furniture makers take material according to wholesale prices, and based on the total area, you save exactly 20 percent compared to purchasing the material yourself at retail. There are also discounts on trims. Also, when sawing, we offer a service such as edging.

    Fastening shelves in the structure

    Most profitable way fixing the shelves in this case - using scraps of simple plinth. MDF skirting boards come in all sorts of varieties today, in different sizes, textures and profiles. And so that the fastening of the shelves is not too noticeable, take a piece of plinth shorter than the depth of the shelf by about a third. And the end can also be cut off at an angle.

    In the same way, you can attach the upper and lower partitions in the closet (to the floor and ceiling). Just don’t shorten the plinth pieces. If you take a ceiling plinth small size, their ends will be completely covered by the upper and lower guides. A very durable structure is formed together with shelves secured in the same way. This design will also support the plank floor from sagging (and this is facilitated by the weight of the doors).

    These, of course, are not all the points in making a cabinet, but perhaps the most important. Soberly assess your capabilities, think about maybe entrusting some stages to professionals. And don’t give up on video lessons, which turn out to be very useful.

    Good work!

    Typical problem The premises of hallways, halls and corridors are narrow, darkened and windowless spaces. The following elements will help add volume and depth to it, as well as decorate it interestingly and tastefully:

    a large number of mirrors on the walls, ceiling and cabinet doors; glossy surfaces of floors, walls, door panels; flat ceiling lamps, decorated with mirror inserts; hidden lighting, sconces and light spots; illuminated stained glass windows; high (to the ceiling) built-in wardrobes with glossy or mirrored facades; high doorways; translucent glass doors leading to large and bright rooms.

    When it comes to talking about a homemade hallway, you should understand that we are not just talking about wallpapering without the help of specialists.

    You can decorate a modern hallway yourself if you choose materials and furniture wisely

    You can create a lot with your own hands:

    First of all, do the finishing yourself - it’s the easiest thing. To the very simple options finishing can include painting and wallpapering. Can choose interesting option: wallpaper with photo printing. There is no need for huge drawings in the hallway, but an original abstract pattern would be very appropriate.

    Since the hallway, as a rule, is not too large, the current color scheme is light. This also applies to furniture.

    You can use warm, contrasting shades to highlight individual parts of the room or the pieces of furniture themselves. You can also make the decor yourself. Original upholstery of a banquette, pots with flowers painted or dressed in crocheted covers, a mirror that is decorated with shells or artificial flowers, and, of course, wicker rugs at the door - all this is very easy to do, does not require large investments and brings pleasure in the making process.

    How to make a corridor in a house if you don’t want to bother with assembling furniture yourself, especially if there is already furniture in the hallway? It’s not for nothing that they say that changes can completely change the perception of a room. This also applies to the hallway - it is not necessary to purchase new furniture, if you can apply some techniques.

    The main technique is rearranging furniture. For example, you can abandon the closet completely and replace it with vintage hooks for the wall and an original hat. A large potted plant will take up space near the door, and you can put a shoe rack next to it. If it is strong enough, then you can place a seat on top, then you can sit on it and put on your shoes comfortably.

    For a hallway, a mirror is absolutely necessary, and preferably a large one. You can spice up your mirror by decorating the frame. And if it is built into the closet, then you can use various stickers. Among the most popular - floral patterns and window imitation.

    The furniture itself can be repainted in a color that suits the style. Wooden furniture can be coated with colored varnish to highlight the texture of the wood, or artificially aged.

    Ideas on how to make an original hallway with your own hands

    Modern apartments or private houses most often have more spacious dimensions, which can accommodate an acceptable set of furniture. You can even put a small sofa with leather upholstery - such furniture is easy to wash and clean.

    But, if the hallway is still small, then you can pay attention to other techniques:

    • Modular furniture;
    • Narrow designs;
    • Using walls instead of cabinets.

    Modular furniture makes it easy to rearrange and combine all items at your discretion. A corner closet with mezzanines will be very helpful - a lot of things can fit there.

    There are also narrow options for furniture sets. If this is not critical for a cabinet or hangers, then for storing shoes or a closet, this design will not work - there is too little space.

    And finally, the walls themselves. You can place hooks and fabric organizers for shoes and accessories on them.

    Since the hallway is the place where inevitably there is the most dirt and dust, the materials must be chosen so that it can be easily washed. Some people find light shades not very interesting, and therefore designers advise diluting them with bright shades.

    • In accessories;
    • In furniture upholstery;
    • In highlighting some parts of the interior.

    Very often the front door is painted in a bright color - then the interior looks bright and lively. But the main accents are in the accessories - bright vases, textiles, figurines, watches. This list can be continued for a very long time, the main thing is not to overload the hallway with these details.

    Very important role furniture upholstery plays a role when it comes to a pair of chairs and a shoe rack. You can choose absolutely any material. The only thing that the hallway does not tolerate are carpets and carpeted surfaces.

    It's worth returning to the furniture. Correct arrangement plays a very important role.

    To do this you need to know a few rules:

    • Do not clutter the space near the door;
    • It is better to move the closet deeper into the room;
    • Instead of a cabinet, you can use a shoe rack closed type;
    • Corner furniture saves space.

    Most pieces of furniture for the hallway are easy to make with your own hands. To begin with, you need to decide on the materials.

    The championship is held, of course, by wooden configurations. They are quite durable, do not deteriorate, look aesthetically pleasing, and can be easily repainted and decorated.

    Wooden furniture is not so easy to purchase, as it is very, very expensive. Another thing is specialized furniture panels, as well as chipboard sheets. The former are also not very cheap, and they are not easy to find, but the latter are common and are reasonably priced.

    Additional tools you will need:

    • Loops and corners.
    • Tape measure and pencil.
    • Furniture screws.
    • Sharp knife.
    • Sandpaper.
    • Jigsaw or saw.
    • Screwdriver or screwdriver.
    • Finishing materials, if needed.

    Custom hallway with your own hands: drawings and diagrams

    You need to start the work yourself with a simple cabinet. It is necessary to determine the height, and cut out 2 identical sidewalls from the shield at this height. If there is a plinth, then a small corner is cut off on one side. You need to do the same on top so that the lid is narrower. Then fasten the sidewalls with two bases, and the lower one should not be near the floor, but higher, then the gap can be masked with a dowel. The back panel can be made of plywood.

    The door should be such that the box fits above it. Make holes and attach the door with hinges. Make runners for the box from plywood. Make the bottom part out of plywood, and the front should be a little larger. Cut out the lid and place it on glue. Secure the box with self-tapping screws.

    Making furniture will require:

    A cabinet with two doors is made differently. You need to assemble a box of four bases, no lower than a one-door cabinet. Fasten with self-tapping screws. Inside, make runners for drawers and mounts for shelves if desired. The back panel should be made of plywood. Cut out the doors and attach them with hinges. Secure both lids with dowels.

    The cabinet needs 2 large sides. Cut out the bottom, base (top) and central shelf for them. Cut out 2 identical doors. Attach to the cabinet. The back wall is also made of plywood. Arrange drawers and shelves inside as desired.

    Cut several identical boards for the hanger and fasten them with a horizontal strip. Attach a shelf for hats on top along the entire width. Attach the hooks and hang them on the wall with self-tapping screws. Cover everything with varnish and decorate as desired. Go for it!

  • Every day, when we cross our threshold, we find ourselves in our hallway. It is from the hallway that any house or apartment begins. As a rule, you need to place a lot of things and shoes in it. Properly selected furniture will help with this.

    It should not only be beautiful, but also functional: comfortable, take up little space, and at the same time accommodate quite a lot of things.

    One of these hallways is in the photo at the beginning of the article. I saw it in a foreign online furniture store. She served as the idea for the project that I want to post today.

    The hallway consists of a wardrobe panel, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers for shoes (shoe rack). In that online store it costs €1049. For many, this is very expensive. And not everyone can buy such a hallway. But having detailed project, you can make it yourself, or order it from any furniture company or workshop. And the money saved can be spent on 18 pairs of shoes - this is exactly the number of pairs the shoe rack can accommodate. See its design in the image below.

    Well, now more details about the project.

    Dimensions:

    Click on the picture to enlarge

    Material:

    PVC edge (2mm and 0.45)

    If desired, the material can be replaced with MDF16. ! In this case, to order parts from MDF, take the dimensions not of the workpiece, but of the finished part, taking into account the edges.

    Accessories: overhead hinges, telescopic guide, pipe with 16 mm flanges, 55 mm legs ( detailed information for all fittings used in the project, included).

    Wall Mount: the wardrobe panel and mirror are mounted on the wall. Fasteners - at your discretion ( depending on the wall).

    List of documents included in the project:

    1. Calculation of the need for materials and accessories.
    2. Specifications.
    3. Cut taking into account the edging.
    4. Drilling cards.
    5. Assembly drawing.
    6. Information on fittings used in the project.

    For an example and to familiarize yourself with the documentation, you can free download drawing of the wardrobe panel. It is designed as a separate project.

    The situation is different with the hallway, because it is what everyone sees first when they come to the apartment. And that’s why you can try to do what you want with your own hands. When people enter a house, the first thing they see is the hallway. Every person who crosses the threshold of your home for the first time sees the hallway first, thereby forming a preliminary opinion about you. That is why hallway furniture should carry such qualities as elegance, beauty and practicality. The main task of the hallway is not only a decorative and representative function, but also the safety of your things in proper condition and, in general, order in the house.

    The hallway is the face of your entire home. You leave the hallway in the morning to do your business, and in the evening you return to it again. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully consider the design of the hallway. It should be as comfortable, practical, and beautiful as possible. The size is selected based on the size of your room. Since it is in the hallway, in those cabinets and shelves that are placed in it, that most of the clothes are stored, you need to approach the choice of furniture wisely.

    Of course, you can buy it, but it’s much more interesting and cheaper to make it yourself. And if you have children in your family, you can involve them too. Then the process of creating furniture will turn into a developmental program, especially for boys, who, using the example of an adult, will learn to independently make this or that device. The author of this master class also decided to make a hallway for his home himself. And this is what he did.

    For work were used furniture panels 1600x400x18 mm – 7 pcs. 2000x400x18 mm – 3 pcs., 2000x120x16 boards – 7 pcs., 2 tongue and groove boards 2000x240x18 mm. 1 three-meter strip 3000x40x12 mm, a piece of plywood 6 mm, furniture hinges - 12 pcs, furniture handles - 6 pcs.

    First, he started making a bedside table measuring 820x400x400. The frame shows sawn-off corners in the upper part of the side walls so that the top cover of the cabinet is slightly narrower than its main part. Fastenings were made with self-tapping screws. Don't forget to cut out the corners for the baseboard at the bottom of the bedside table. Next, a face strip is attached, which is attached to the dowels.

    After making the cabinet, a door is made for it, the dimensions of which are 400x400 mm. Holes for the hinges are drilled with a special drill. We secure the door.

    The next step is to make runners for the drawer, which will be located at the top of the cabinet. They are cut from 6 mm plywood. We attach them to the side walls of the bedside table.

    The production of the box begins. It is also made from 6 mm plywood. We measure the dimensions, the desired depth of the box and attach the parts to each other. For this, wood screws were used, for which holes were pre-drilled so that the plywood would not split.

    The front part of the drawer, which is made from furniture board, is attached at the very end, after it has been varnished and handles suitable for it have been purchased.

    Now the lid of the bedside table is being made. It will be attached to dowels. To do this, small nails are driven into the upper end parts of the side walls, approximately 2/3 of the way. The lid is applied to the top and pressure is applied to it. This results in markings for the holes. We drill them out and attach the lid using dowels and glue. To ensure stronger adhesion, we place some weight on the lid.

    Now we move on to making the next hallway item, also a cabinet, but with a different appearance and corresponding dimensions - 820x490x400 mm. Everyone makes the interior shelves the way they like. The location can be anything. We fasten it on the sides with self-tapping screws. The upper part of the central partition is attached to dowels. The doors are cut out and hinges are attached. Don't forget about the face strip and cuts under the baseboards.

    Now the author proceeds to making a pencil case, which will have dimensions of 2000x400x400 mm. The side, top and bottom parts are cut out. Everything is attached with self-tapping screws, except for the front strip. It, as in other cases, will be attached to dowels. For strength, the structure is fastened at the corners with the corners of their plywood. The shelves located in the pencil case will lie on holders made of rivets, the upper part of which is slightly cut off. The doors are attached to 3 hinges each.

    A lattice stack is made from boards. Try to position the crossbar so that you can later attach clothes hooks to it. In the design, a place is cut out for the bedside table, which the author made at the very beginning. A shelf is made at the top of the sheathing. Holders for it are made from scraps of boards. Everything is polished. The entire structure is coated with several layers of varnish. Hooks for clothes are attached.

    And this is what happened in the end. Now the face of this year will pass face control)

    I wish everyone success in making such a hallway.

    The theater begins with a coat rack, and the apartment begins with a closet in the hallway. This is the first thing your eye catches and the first thing you need. Functionality and aesthetics are what this furniture should combine. And if the owner of the apartment is interested in making things on his own, he will have a great opportunity to show his skills from the doorstep.

    Materials and tools:
    1. Furniture legs, the height of which reaches 50 mm.
    2. Self-tapping screws 4x16.
    3. Laminated particle board, the thickness of which is 16 mm.
    4. Painted hardboard.
    5. 0.5 mm malamine edge with adhesive backing.
    6. You can choose a custom, lightweight version of the façade. It should consist of an aluminum frame with three hinges. A full-length mirror is inserted into the frame. You can’t do without a frame, as the cabinet will be too heavy.
    7. Iron.
    8. A more powerful screwdriver with a set of drills and bits. Among the bits there should be a hexagon for confirmations.
    9. Confirmats 5x70 mm.
    10. Hammer.
    11. Right angle, tape measure.
    12. Pencil.
    13. Internal four-hinged hinges in the amount of 5 pieces. Two of them will go on the shoe cabinet, the rest will go on the large door.
    14. Retractable rod 400 mm long. It will be mounted on the shelf at the bottom of the cabinet.
    15. Hooks and special handles - selected depending on the taste and needs of the master.

    Operating procedure:
    Most likely, without special training, it will not be possible to qualitatively cut a chipboard, so it is recommended for this purpose to contact a specialist who has special machine. You will need both a high-speed circular saw and a disk with pobedite tips, and you are unlikely to find this at home. You can also contact a construction supermarket. In total, you will need 2 sidewalls, the back of the open part, the bottom and top of the structure, the top cover for the shoe cabinet, a shelf, the sidewall and door of the cabinet, the shelf of the open part, the back wall. The dimensions are taken to be minimal in order to fit even in the hallway of a Khrushchev-era building, but at the same time normal so that clothes and shoes can fit in the closet. The technician must be aware of what parameters will be needed.

    But you can glue the finished parts with an edge yourself. To do this, you will need a hot, but not red-hot iron. It is applied carefully, but with confident movements. While the edge is still warm, it is important to press it, ironing the edges with a dry cloth - this is necessary for better contact. The excess is cut off, the edges of the parts are sanded.

    Now the cabinet is assembled. This is not difficult to do for someone who has held tools in their hands at least once in their life.

    The shelf in the cabinet must be placed approximately 30 mm higher than the open shelf. To avoid matching fasteners, this procedure is important.

    Parts for confirmations are drilled in advance both into the end of the part and into the plane. All ties are made for confirmations. The holes will need through holes 8 mm in diameter, and at the end of the parts - 5 mm, 60 mm deep. When marking, it is necessary to focus on critical details - facades, back of the open part and sidewalls. In this case, it will be very difficult to make a mistake.

    The hardboard is attached using self-tapping screws, but if you have little free time, you can get by with nails. In any case, it is extremely important to maintain the rectangularity of the structure as a whole.

    Here's the hallway closet and it's ready! It will fit not only clothes, but also shoes and hats. This thing will perfectly save space and, made independently, will fit into any interior.

    • Materials for work
    • Assembling a double-leaf cabinet
    • Installation of a cabinet model "pencil case"
    • Installing a wall with hangers
    • Finishing work

    For the hallway you can assemble different furniture yourself. It will not only be functional, but also attractive. Cabinets and cabinets will fully correspond to the style of the room and its parameters. You can put together a stylish set yourself. for the hallway it is usually made of solid wood or special furniture panels, which can be ordered at any factory according to the provided project. The surface of the shields will be laminated required color. All that remains is to assemble the furniture according to the diagram and install it in the intended place. The hallway will be updated, and you will have comfortable furniture.

    Furniture in the hallway is a mandatory attribute, because it is where shoes, clothes and other accessories are stored.

    Materials for work

    To assemble furniture for the corridor with your own hands, you will first have to choose an assembly scheme. Today there are many such schemes, so it will not be difficult to choose a set not only for a spacious hallway, but also for a small corridor in a city apartment.

    The following materials are used for assembly:

    • boards for furniture walls, for internal partitions;
    • back walls made of laminated plywood;
    • boards for shelves;
    • doors;
    • for a wall with hooks, you need to take metal pipes under the frame, boards for sheathing, hooks;
    • accessories (hinges, handles, slides);
    • fastening elements (screws, nails, dowels).

    Tools for work:

    Figure 1. Drawing of a double-leaf cabinet for the hallway.

    • saw, jigsaw, hacksaw for cutting individual elements for cabinets and cabinets;
    • plane;
    • chisel;
    • drill with a set of drills for wood, a crown cutter;
    • screwdriver;
    • welding machine, if it is necessary to assemble a frame for the wall;
    • hammer.

    The assembly process depends entirely on which project is selected. The simplest, designed for a small room, is a set consisting of a small wall with hooks, a “pencil case” cabinet, and a double-leaf cabinet above which you can attach a mirror. This set will look great even in a small room.

    The first thing that guests see when they enter the house is, of course, the hallway. It can safely be called the “calling card” of the apartment. Therefore, the hallway in the house should not only be beautiful, but also comfortable. To do this, various furniture is placed here. In particular, there is often a wardrobe, a hanger, a mirror, a shoe cabinet and a chest of drawers. In addition, it would not be a bad idea to put seating furniture here. It could be a bench, sofa, ottoman. In general, how the hallway will be equipped depends not only on the size of the room, but also on the owner himself. Next, we’ll tell you how to make a hallway with your own hands.

    If the hallway is small, it will be more convenient to choose several small items. This could be a shelf for hats, a bedside table for shoes, a small mirror and a hanger. IN small corridor A square-shaped set of cabinet furniture will look good, which consists of a shoe cabinet, a chest of drawers with a mirror and a wardrobe. Large rooms can accommodate almost any furniture. In general, there are a lot of options for hallways.

    As a wardrobe for a hallway, perhaps the best option is a sliding wardrobe, which is distinguished by its functionality and spaciousness. It can even be placed in small room. It can store not only outerwear, but also hats, shoes and various accessories. For very small rooms, it is best to install built-in wardrobes. With their help you can save space and fit all the shelves and hangers you need for clothes in one place.

    Cabinets with doors can be used, but they require more room space. They may have one or two doors. By the way, the doors are usually equipped with various useful devices. This could be a compartment for storing gloves, an umbrella stand, or small shelves. A mirror is often placed in any hallway. Moreover, most often it is large enough for a person to see himself in full growth. In addition, this piece of furniture allows you to visually make the space wider. There are three main designs of hallway mirrors. So, it can simply hang on the wall, be framed, or be built into the cabinet doors.

    Any hallway needs a shoe rack. As it you can use a galosh with built-in or open shelves or a simple cabinet. It is usually equipped with hinged, folding or sliding doors. The height can be both high and low. The most convenient option can be called a bedside table, which consists of several sections located one above the other. The shoe rack is located inside the doors.

    The following requirements apply to the hallway closet:

    1. Compact sizes.
    2. The presence of a bar for hangers.
    3. Special shelf for hats.
    4. The presence of a hook hanger, which is convenient for taking everyday clothes.
    5. The presence of a bedside table for shoes.
    6. Full length mirror.

    We arrange the hallway with our own hands

    Single door cabinet

    Work order:

    1. The production of such a piece of furniture should begin by making markings on boards measuring 1700x400x18 and sawing out the sidewall. Then the shelf for the niche and the bottom are cut out. After which you should make a front strip, which is then secured under the bottom.
    2. When the blanks are cut, holes should be made in each of them. Furniture dowels will be attached to them. Choose your own mounting locations. By the way, if there is a plinth in your hallway, then so that the cabinet does not rest against it, on its sides from below you should cut out a part that matches the dimensions of these plinths. This will place the bedside table close to the wall.
    3. Now you can cut out the door. To do this, it is best to take the same board that was used for the cabinet itself. Then you need to make holes to secure the loops. For hinges, it is better to choose those that allow the door to close at the same level as the frame. It is better not to take hinges that will move the door to the side when closing.
    4. Next, coat the dowels and holes for them with glue. After which you can install them in place and begin assembling the frame. When this is done, secure it with self-tapping screws. The door can then be reinstalled.
    5. Now you can begin making the runners on which the drawers will be installed. They will occupy the entire width of the side. To make the runners, take a sheet of plywood and cut two pieces approximately 16mm wide. After which they should be secured inside the side of the cabinet in the place where the bottom of the drawer will be located.
    6. Once the runners are in place, you can begin making the box itself. It is recommended to start by constructing the bottom, which is cut out of plywood.
    7. Then you should make two side walls and one back wall from the boards. When they are cut, they are screwed to the bottom using self-tapping screws. To avoid cracks in the plywood, you should drill holes in it before screwing in the screws. All that remains is to make the front part of the drawer, which is installed at the very end of the work.
    8. Finally, cut out the top of the nightstand and attach it using furniture piping.

    Double door cabinet

    Making such a bedside table is in many ways similar to the process of making a single-leaf bedside table. Also, the frame blank is first marked and cut out. Slots should be made on the sides that will allow the cabinet to stand flush against the wall. Next you need to make a plywood bar and a shelf. They are the same in size as in a single-leaf cabinet.

    The bedside table usually has two compartments. One of them is about a quarter of the size of the structure in width, and in height it is the same as the height of the entire cabinet. The second compartment takes up the remainder. At the same time, it is divided into two parts using a horizontal shelf.

    Now the bedside table can be assembled by gluing and pre-installing the dowels. After which it needs to be fastened with self-tapping screws. All that remains is to cut out and install the doors.

    Wall for hangers

    To make this piece of furniture you will need several boards. A manufacturing option with two blocks is described below:

    1. First, the boards are placed on a plane, with a small distance between them. They should be fastened on top using a rail placed at the height at which the hooks are supposed to be fastened.
    2. After this, you can begin making a shelf for hats, the dimensions of which depend on the obtained wall dimensions.
    3. The finished shelf is attached with self-tapping screws. In addition, stiffening ribs should be placed on each of the two sides.
    4. Finally, lean the finished wall against the place on the wall where you planned to fix it. At the same time, note how much the boards will need to be trimmed so that the structure is flush with the cabinet. All that remains is to shorten the wall to the required size, and it is ready for use.

    Hallway pencil case

    Making such a piece of furniture is not difficult. To do this, you will need a furniture panel, from which you should cut out a wall, a bottom, a front strip, a lid and two back walls (if necessary, a part for the baseboard is cut out on them). This is necessary so that the cabinet stands flush against the wall.

    Work order:

    1. When all the parts are ready, you can assemble the frame. To do this, as in previous cases, you first need to coat the dowels and holes for them with special furniture glue. After which it is recommended to install them in place and assemble the frame, securing it with self-tapping screws.
    2. Now you need to cut out two doors, on each of which you need to make holes for attaching three hinges.
    3. Next, you need to decide how many shelves there will be in the closet. On the sidewalls inside the product, install the fasteners at the appropriate level.
    4. Once the shelves are cut, they can be placed in the desired location. Finally, the sashes can be installed.

    Wardrobe for a small hallway

    Below is an example of assembling a cabinet that can be placed even in the hallway of a small Khrushchev building. There will be a gap at the bottom of the structure, which results from the installation furniture legs height 55 mm. They will be attached to the cabinet using 4x16 screws. That's all there is to say about these supports. Next, we will look at the assembly of the cabinet body itself. First, let's look at the dimensions of the parts.

    When making a hallway cabinet, the material you can use is:

    1. Laminated Chipboard thickness 18 mm.
    2. Painted hardboard.
    3. Melamine edge with adhesive base 0.6 mm thick.

    The process of making the facade will not be considered here. It is envisaged that a custom version will be used, consisting of aluminum frame with a selection for three hinges, and a mirror is inserted into this frame.

    By the way, you can build a simpler option, which will also be cheaper. So, a mirror is glued onto a sheet of chipboard using a special glue. The result is a facade that will be more massive and heavier than the previous version. In this case, it will require at least 4 loops. In addition, the cabinet itself will need to be securely attached to the wall. Otherwise, it may simply collapse when the doors are opened. Therefore, decide for yourself which facade is preferable for you.

    You will need the following chipboard sheets to assemble the structure:

    • For the top cover of the shoe cabinet: 1 pc. size 390x460 mm.
    • For the top and bottom of the entire structure: 2 pcs. size 990x480 mm.
    • For the open part shelf: 1 pc. size 380x390 mm.
    • Open part back: 1 pc. size 2110x390 mm.
    • For the side of the structure: 2 pcs. size 2110x460 mm.
    • Sidewalls of the bedside table: 1 pc. size 400x440 mm.
    • For a shelf in a closet. 1 PC. size 570x430 mm.
    • Cabinet door: 1 pc. size 400x365 mm.
    • To make the back wall of the structure you will need 1 piece. size 2030x600 mm.

    Before you make a closet for the hallway, you should make sure that when installed in place it will not cover sockets, switches and other similar places. The structure itself is easy to assemble. To do this you will need the following tools:

    1. Powerful screwdriver.
    2. Several wood drills.
    3. A set of fasteners (among them there should be a hexagon for confirmations).
    4. Pencil.
    5. Ruler for measurements.
    6. Hammer.

    In addition, you will need the following specialized accessories:

    1. Retractable bar 410 mm long. It is attached to the shelf in the structure from below. The hangers are hung at the level of the front part.
    2. Internal four-joint furniture hinges in the amount of 6 pieces (2 pieces for a shoe cabinet and 4 pieces for a large door).
    3. Hooks and handles. Useful for creating designs. There are quite a few options. The choice is up to you.

    To prevent the fasteners from matching, the shelf inside the cabinet should be placed 35 mm above the open part.

    Screeds are made on confirmations. For them, you first need to drill both into the end of the part and into the plane. Standard furniture fasteners have a size of 5 by 73 mm. The holes in the plane must be 8.5 mm in diameter and through. All markings are done depending on the number of structural parts. They may well be the sides, facades or back of the open part.

    Hardboard can be secured using self-tapping screws or nailed. The first method is more suitable if you have free time. The second one should be used if there is not much time. The most important thing in both cases is to maintain the rectangularity of the structure. Otherwise, the facades will turn out to be visually unattractive. In addition, they will not be able to close properly. The above recommendations on how to make a hallway are actually nothing more than an example. You have the right to decide what and how to design. This applies not only to the quantity and composition of materials, but also to other aspects.

    Inexpensive hallway furniture can be made independently. This is not only a way to save money, but also an opportunity to create unique interior. You just need to show your imagination and master the basic techniques of working with tools and furniture materials.

    First of all, it is necessary to assess how much capacity the hallway furniture should be. For a small apartment in which a family of two lives, one person is enough average size cabinet and shoe rack. General rules furnishings are as follows.

    1. Furniture in a small hallway should not interfere with the free movement of people.
    2. A set of furniture for the hallway should not contain extra items, functional purpose which are not typical for this room.
    3. The style of furniture must correspond to the general concept of interior decoration.
    4. The furniture set must have compartments for outerwear, shoes and accessories.
    5. Furniture should be practical, not branded. Modern furniture for the hallway is assembled from materials that are resistant to household chemical detergents.

    It is important to determine where cabinets should be installed and shelves placed. Furniture for a small hallway is located near the front door. Nearby there is a shelf for shoes. In a more spacious room, modular furniture for the hallway is installed, as well as chairs (armchairs) and a mirror.

    In small hallways, furniture, the main part of which is a wardrobe, is optimal. You can install the fittings (guides and rollers) yourself or order a ready-made sliding system. To do this, you need to know the parameters of the cabinet opening.

    Important: shelves for hats should be at such a level that it is convenient for all family members to use them.

    Technology for manufacturing furniture from laminated chipboard

    After the working drawing of the future furniture is ready, you should order the production of its individual parts. To do this, they act in this way.

    Specialized enterprises will perform “sawing” according to the provided diagram. Visible edges of chipboard parts are also covered there. PVC tape, selected by color.

    Tip: it is recommended to order milling of furniture parts for hinges at a furniture workshop. This operation can only be performed correctly using special templates.

    For further work you will need the following tools and components:

    • jigsaw;
    • screwdriver with a set of attachments and drills;
    • corner clamps;
    • construction knife;
    • roulette;
    • carpenter's square;
    • marker;
    • firmmats, furniture screws, ties, handles;
    • furniture hinges, shelf holders.

    Important: holes for confirmations are drilled with special drills. Their design allows not only to obtain a hole for the threaded part of the furniture tie, but also to prepare a place for the confirmation neck. Otherwise, the laminated chipboard layer may crack.

    How to assemble furniture

    Before assembling the furniture, all parts are laid out in the order corresponding to the drawing with the specification. To accurately connect the parts, you will need a flat surface, which can be a table or chipboard. To connect the parts, the following steps are required.

    By combining all the parts one by one, we get furniture for the hallway, the price of which will be lower than that manufactured at a specialized enterprise. Handles are screwed to the doors and shelves are installed. At the bottom we attach legs or supports.

    Assembly and installation of drawers

    This requires special guides that are attached to the side parts drawers and to furniture panels. There are two types of guides:

    • telescopic;
    • roller

    The gap between the furniture panels and the side parts of the drawer should be 10 mm.

    You can learn more about how to mark and install guides by watching the video.

    What should hallway furniture look like in a modern style?

    There are several techniques design design cabinet furniture for the hallway.

    1. Use of mirrors and glass with images. Mirrors can be mounted on outside swing doors. Glass with stylized images applied by photo printing, using special paint or chemical matting, are installed in sliding wardrobes.
    2. Installation of spotlights and use of LED strips. The lamps should be near the mirror, and LED strip placed in the upper part of the wardrobe.
    3. Furniture in classic style can be decorated with carved elements, mosaics, and paintings.

    Using the information presented in the article, you can make your own hallway closet, simple hanger or shoe rack.

    The following video will help you choose the style and configuration of furniture.

    You can make the hallway yourself, but you should take into account the style and interior of the other rooms, otherwise there will be too much dissonance between the rooms, especially if they have common passages. It is important that the hallway in an apartment or house is beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished. Required elements The hallway includes: a wardrobe, a mirror, a hanger.

    Additional elements can be placed in the hallway. For example, if the size of the room allows, you can put a small bench, which will make the design more interesting and practical.

    If the hallway is very small, then there are several methods with which you can visually expand the room:

    • Light-colored trim and elements;
    • Built-in structures;
    • The furnishings are in a minimalist style;
    • Availability of mirrors.

    It is in the corridor that our hallway will be located, and therefore its decoration is important.
    If desired, its walls can be decorated with brick, which will give the room some mystery and similarity to the medieval style, or you can put washable wallpaper on it. This will be a big plus, since it is in this room that the surface gets dirty the fastest. It is better to decorate the room using light colors and shades. After all, the lighting of the room will depend only on lamps and fixtures, and dark colors will visually reduce the size of the room.

    An interesting solution could be the use of spot lighting.

    Should be abandoned carpets, since first of all, dirt accumulates there, and washing is quite difficult. You can give preference to linoleum or waterproof parquet. Such coatings will be easy to clean, but the cost is much higher. Ceilings can be decorated using a small amount of gloss, this will further expand the size of the room.

    Effective arrangement of the hallway

    When developing the design and project of the hallway, it is necessary to take into account individual characteristics. If the family is large, then a small shelf for shoes will not be enough, which will create some inconvenience. If the size of the hallway is small enough, then all the beauty of the wardrobe will be lost, and it itself will seem too bulky, and it will be very inconvenient to use. In this case, it is better to install a corner hallway. Therefore, to begin with, it is worth deciding on the functionality of the room in order to subsequently furnish it correctly.

    The right and interesting solution would be to place furniture near the longest wall of the corridor.

    So, how can you make the corridor design much better:

    • When decorating a corridor, dark colors should be avoided;
    • Using linoleum or waterproof parquet;
    • Placing furniture near the longest wall of the corridor;
    • When finishing the ceiling, you can use spot lighting;
    • When creating a project, individual characteristics should be taken into account.

    How to make a hallway with your own hands

    Before you start creating a hallway, you need to assess the size of the room. You should not load a small room with massive furniture. When creating a structure, it is better to use materials that are relatively inexpensive and easy to work with. Even a beginner can handle such materials. One of the main tasks when arranging and creating a hallway is to make it as practical and convenient as possible.

    Making a hallway is possible from:

    • Plywood;
    • Furniture panel;
    • Edged boards;
    • Wooden beam;
    • Drywall.

    These materials are the most convenient to use. They are quite light in weight and will last for a long time Moreover, they are of high quality and durability. If desired, you can use glass or a mirror for inserts in the cabinet, but keep in mind that it is much heavier in weight, so you will need another ward.

    To make a hallway yourself, you will need additional fittings:

    • Guides for drawers, tires;
    • Hooks for things;
    • Locks, door hinges.

    In addition to the above, mandatory materials will be needed: nails, screws, furniture corners, wooden fasteners.

    Necessary tools for making a hallway:

    • Drill;
    • Screwdriver;
    • Wood saw (jigsaw);
    • Mallet;
    • Level and corner.

    A level and a corner will be needed to ensure that the hallway is completely correct in shape.

    The most important stage that requires attention will be taking measurements. If a mistake is made at this stage, then the entire further work will go to waste.

    If the dimensions of the hallway satisfy the already prepared drawing, then you can use it to greatly facilitate the creation of the product. And if desired, such a drawing can be developed manually, or you can contact a professional who will be happy to help create a project for the future hallway.

    You can also use the services of a specialist in cutting chipboard, fiberboard, MDF or plywood. This will simplify subsequent work, and is relatively inexpensive.

    If the room is spacious enough, then the wardrobe will look very harmonious there.

    Stages of creating a wardrobe:

    1. It is necessary to prepare a wooden frame. It is this that is the basis of the future cabinet.
    2. They mark the location of the future product and install the frame. Drill slots for fastenings. Marks are made on the frame.
    3. The front upper frame is attached to the wall, then, after the verticality has been measured with an angle, the side frame is attached.
    4. Slats are inserted into the resulting structure, with the help of which the shelves will subsequently be attached.
    5. We make shelves.
    6. The side frame, if desired, can be trimmed with leather upholstery or painted to your liking.
    7. The most the last stage is the installation of doors. This requires very precise sizing. Mount the guides. Before inserting the door, it is better to attach a piece of the same height as the door and check the verticality with a level. Only after this we install the door.

    DIY drawings and diagrams of the hallway

    The drawing is an important stage in creating a hallway. All dimensions of the structure and its components are observed on it. If preference is given to an already created drawing, then you should check whether they are suitable for a specific hallway.

    Typically, in the drawing, the hallway consists of the following elements:

    • Upper and lower frame;
    • Back wall;
    • Side frames.

    How to make a hallway (video)

    You should choose a drawing that shows the dimensions of all specific parts, as well as the materials from which they are made. The diagrams clearly show how to assemble the structure.

    Happy assembly and precise installation!
