How was it before in old dacha bridges and village settlements? Life passed in full view of the neighbors, everyone communicated with each other, shared news and bowed when they met. I want to warn lovers of a solitary existence: a metal fence in a small area has a lot of negative aspects. For example, behind a solid fence, any intruder who quietly sneaks into your garden is free to do whatever he wants: nothing can be seen. And even the most vigilant neighbors will not be able to tell you where to go.
In addition, in a small area with such a monumental fence, the natural system ventilation, so in summer it is several degrees hotter and in winter, correspondingly, colder. For this reason, all of our neighbor’s phlox and clematis froze in the first year after installing the new fence. And you don’t even have to think about planting something next to the fence in order to hide its unsightly underside: few plants can withstand being next to a “hot frying pan.” However, it will also be impossible to grow anything in the deep shadow of a metal stack.
With the installation of such an industrial fence, as if in an industrial zone, of course, there is no need to maintain front gardens: after all, no one sees them anyway! Some gardeners, taking advantage of this, take out compost heaps(!), without caring at all about aesthetics. The explanation for this is given as follows: “so that the place does not disappear.”
Some summer residents, having acquired a newfangled fence, are still nostalgic for the old days and in some places with outside lilac bushes are planted in the area or annuals are sown in order to at least slightly cover up the soulless essence of the metal fence.

So maybe we can come up with something more suitable to isolate ourselves from the busy world? For example, plant a hedge. There are plenty of options to suit different tastes and budgets. Most

This unpretentious decorative-leaved shrub grows quickly, reaching a height of three meters in three years, is pruned (for lovers of a formal style), is drought-resistant and does not get sick. Hawthorn
Traditionally, hawthorn is used for hedges. All its types are quite unpretentious, resistant to freezing, and durable. The edible fruits are useful for cardiovascular diseases and can be used to make a tincture. Huge thorns make the hawthorn barrier insurmountable. In spring, the hedge stands as if surrounded by lace: it blooms so profusely! It is no less decorative in the fall, covered with scarlet delicious fruits. It is also regularly formed, and when the “legs” are exposed, the bushes are planted on a stump. This procedure rejuvenates the hawthorn for another ten years. The only drawback is that it will take at least 10 years to form a full-fledged hedge. Therefore, you need to be patient.
Roses
An option that does not require large labor costs for care is hedge from park roses. The only condition is that the plants must be rooted, capable of producing shoots that replace old shoots. It is necessary to remove dried branches from time to time and add compost or aged manure every few years in the spring. That's all care. Important point- this hedge cannot be cut or trimmed, otherwise it will not bloom. And roses will eventually form a wide spreading tree of fragrant bushes up to 2 m high, which will bloom from June until frost.

Grape

So I suggest planting plants as a fence - they also allow air to pass through well, without creating air stagnation in the garden, but also protecting from strong winds.
