Sanding with further varnishing is great way restore worn wood floors without the need to re-floor. However, scraping is a very expensive, very labor-intensive process, requiring fairly high skill. Looping wooden floor Doing it yourself is also possible, but before doing it, you should find out the nuances and features of such work.

Before and after scraping.

When is it not possible and when is it possible to cycle?

Sanding a parquet floor is more profitable than replacing it only if the floor is evenly worn down. It makes no sense to scrape the floor in the following cases:

  • The parquet has dried out, the lock has swelled or split;
  • The presence of evaporation or midge from the base floor and rot on the parquet board;
  • The presence of noticeable potholes or unevenness on the floor;
  • When there is less than 5 millimeters left from the top of the boards to the tongue;
  • There is a wood-boring beetle in the room.

Some factors can be determined by eye. Weed on the ceiling and walls is noticeable by the peeling of the re-glued wallpaper. The bug is detected by the appearance of small holes containing pieces of wood dust on the baseboards or floor. . And fungus and moisture from below can be detected by simple testing.

The floor is checked for moisture by covering it with plastic film, pressed down around the perimeter with weights and slats. If condensation appears under the film during the day, we can talk about the uselessness of scraping. In such rooms, the old floors are removed, the main floor is waterproofed, the room is dried out and a new floor is laid.

Before scraping, the floor undergoes a moisture test using film.

The condition of the parquet boards is checked with a simple shoe awl, which is used to prick the parquet flooring in the corners. The tip, with medium pressure, should enter no more than 3-5 millimeters into the oak parquet, up to 7 millimeters - in ash, walnut or birch parquet. A deeper penetration indicates the presence of mold.

Equipment and costs

Do-it-yourself floor scraping, which you can watch in the video, requires tools and equipment such as a surface grinder for finishing sanding before varnishing and a drum sander for removing (scraping, stripping) old varnish and rough leveling surfaces, industrial vacuum cleaner for removing dust before varnishing, angle grinder for cleaning the edges of corners, floors, 3 discs for surface grinder, emery cloth, parquet varnish.

Do not use household vacuum cleaners to remove dust before varnishing. Their power does not allow them to “suck through” the floor. After them, it is impossible to achieve a mirror smooth surface.

An alternative option involves manual, dust-free and silent scraping. Before varnishing, cleaning can be done even with ancient Soviet “Rockets” - the device produces small shavings. However, for an area of 10 sq.m. a novice master will spend up to 12 hours of time and a lot of effort.

To perform parquet scraping you need to think about protective equipment. Indeed, during work in the air of the room, the density of fine dust will be very high. And it is necessary to protect the respiratory system and eyes with the help of safety glasses and a petal respirator; hair can be covered with a helmet or scarf.

The noise level emitted by the grinding machine poses a danger to the hearing organs, so it is worth stocking up with ear muffs. You should wear tight clothing that buttons up to the neck, with cuffs that fit snugly at the wrists.

When performing work, you must use personal protective equipment.

If possible, it is advisable to remove all things from the room or wrap them up plastic film. Windows are opened wide during work.

Features of scraping

The basic principle machine method scraping parquet is to prevent the wood from moving for a long time across the grain. This can lead to chipping and gouging of boards.

Looping various types parquet has its own characteristics.

Stripping (cleaning) parquet made of straight-layer wood laid in a herringbone pattern. Performed at a 45-degree angle to the parquet flooring. Carrying out finishing sanding – across and along the parquet floors. Therefore, the procedure is performed in 2 passes. Sanding of figured straight-layer parquet is carried out in 2 mutually perpendicular directions, two-pass operations.

Decorative parquet is scraped using spiral and circular movements from the edge to the center. For those who do not know what this is, you need to warn that the procedure is carried out only with a surface grinder. Peeling may require up to two passes: a delay in one area to process “stubborn” areas is not allowed.

Sorry, nothing found.

Elements artistic parquet often made from fine-grained wood of valuable species. This parquet is scraped by parquet masters high level either manually or with a small angle grinder in a circular motion, gradually moving from section to section, taking into account the design of the pattern and the properties of individual elements.

Performing scraping

Do-it-yourself floor scraping is done in a certain order. Furniture is taken out, baseboards are removed, the floor is swept with a broom and vacuumed household vacuum cleaner. Then coarse sandpaper 36-40 is tucked into the drum and the entire area is covered twice according to the pattern, with the exception of inconveniences and corners. Work begins from the far wall with gradual approach to more traveled areas. Dust from the dust collector is poured into a plastic bag.

Kit the necessary tool for scraping.

The remaining stains of varnish (distinguished by dark spots) are removed with circular smooth movements from the edges to the center with an angle grinder. Using an angle grinder, the varnish is also peeled off in niches and corners, with pendulum smooth movements from the boundaries of the treated surfaces to the wall.

Finish grinding is carried out with a surface grinder: the main floor area is covered according to the scheme. When there is a noticeable boundary of the area processed with an angle grinder, the niches and corners are again passed through.

Dust must also be collected from all finishing stages.

The putty base is mixed with dust. Using a putty spatula, the entire floor area is evenly puttied. The process of filling potholes and cracks after varnishing can result in the appearance of unsightly stains. Using a drum with 60-80 sandpaper, after the putty has dried, the floor is smoothed; in inconvenient areas, an angle grinder is used.

Floor varnishing. When the varnish is completely dry, remove the rising wood pile with a drum of 100-120 sandpaper or using a surface sander. Inconvenient areas are also processed with an angle grinder.

Sorry, nothing found.

Using a vacuum cleaner, carefully go over the ceiling, walls and floor twice. The floor is varnished in 2 layers, the subsequent ones - after the previous one has completely dried. If the parquet is valuable or, on the contrary, old and no repairs are planned in the near future, then it is varnished three or four times.

The microfiber roller is the best device for varnishing. Multilayer high-quality varnishing can only be done using a roller. But it's not cheap. Finishing can be performed with a drum with 100-120 or 60-80 sandpaper. However, the result will not be an “ice mirror”. However, plywood parquet or herringbone cannot be ironed to such an extent with a machine.

Plank floor

The procedure for sanding a wooden floor does not require the use of a surface sander: it is still impossible to smooth it to an ideal result.

The natural deflection of the boards can be 1-2 millimeters, but its radius is compared with the radius of the tension rollers tape machine or sanding drum. Rollers or a drum with a belt can resonate, and instead of flat floors, you can get a brake track for reckless drivers.

Manual scraping is performed using a scraper: a piece of plane with a blade curved with a hook.

Manual looping.

First, the piece of iron is released: it is heated for 10-15 minutes on a gas flame until it glows dark cherry and is left in the air to cool.

Then it is clamped in a vice together with a piece of pipe and bent with uniform, frequent and light blows of the hammer. After this, having aligned the blade until it is even on the circle, it is hardened, heated to light red and lowered into water. Sharpening is carried out by removing it onto a wedge with outside bending

The productivity of manual scraping doubles or more, while the work itself becomes easier, when used as a scraper - special tool, which is used to clean seams in the plank lining of small vessels before replacing the caulk. For scraping, the scraper must be prepared; for this, its edges are made smooth on sandpaper, released, bent, hardened and sharpened, like a scrape made from a plane iron.

Under renovation wooden floors the procedure for self-scraping is very labor-intensive, dusty, noisy and hard work. Not everyone is able to understand how to properly cycle a floor with their own hands. In addition, it is not always possible to restore the floor using sanding. If possible, it is still recommended to trust the scraping to professional craftsmen.

The cost of a high-quality wooden floor or parquet is quite high, and when after a few years the boards begin to fade and wear out, there is a desire to update them.

It is quite expensive to completely re-cover the flooring, and the procedure for laying the boards takes a lot of time. In this case, manual or mechanical scraping of the wooden floor is carried out - a quick and economical way to return your flooring to its original condition appearance .

In the process of scraping from a wooden surface a layer whose thickness does not exceed tenths of a millimeter is scraped off. The treatment allows you to clean and return the original color to the parquet or floorboards and renew the appearance.

Purpose of the procedure

When sanding an old wooden floor, cracks and sags, stains from oil and other stubborn dirt are eliminated, which ultimately extends the life of the coating. After sanding, a floor made of any wood looks much better. You can scrape not only parquet, but also simple floors made of pine boards.

Note! The wood must be thoroughly dry before sanding. This is especially true for new floors.

If the boards are very worn out (thin), rotten, or loose, then they need to be replaced. You can carry out scraping with minimal material costs if you rent a machine and do all the work yourself. Let’s figure out what the sequence of actions is, whether it’s possible to repair the floors yourself or whether it’s wiser to invite specialists.

Most in a budget way is to use a hand scraper, which is a scraper with a metal tip. An alternative is to use sandpaper sheets attached to a holder. These methods require virtually no money, but are very labor-intensive. Therefore, they are usually used for cosmetic spot repairs, and when comprehensively updating a wooden floor, machine options are preferred.

Equipment

The scraping technology involves the use following types devices:

  • drum (tape);
  • disk;
  • peeling;
  • corner (border).

Cars drum type allow processing in a short time large area. However, they cannot ensure a uniform thickness of floor covering removal. Therefore, they are usually used only for removing the top layer of paint or varnish, when quality can be sacrificed for speed.

Devices disk type There are household and professional. Disc machines allow you to process wooden floors efficiently, without leaving any unevenness on the surface. The disadvantages of using include high cost. Typically, scraping machines of this class are used by teams of professionals involved in finishing the premises. The device is equipped with discs with fine, medium and coarse fractions of abrasive material.

A stripper is used to remove old coating from a surface. The device is equipped with a roller with wire pile, which is used to clean a painted floor or parquet from a durable paint layer.

Thanks to its design features, the curb scraper will allow you to clean wooden floors in hard to reach places. The device cleans areas adjacent to the wall, as well as corners and joints in the room.

You may need a screwdriver as a tool for the job. It is used to deepen the heads of self-tapping screws deep into the surface of the boards. This must be done to avoid damaging the disks of the scraper.

It is not necessary to purchase all of the listed tools, but a complete set will significantly speed up the repair process. An alternative to buying is renting necessary equipment. At a minimum, you can get by with a disk machine and a device for scraping borders.

Modern devices make it possible to carry out sanding without dust, but after work, debris may still remain, so cleaning is an integral stage of the procedures.

Old floor scraping technology

They begin scraping the old wooden floor by preparing the room, completely emptying it of furniture.

It is better to protect paintings and shelves on the walls from dust using film. Interior doors removed from the hinges, the doorway must be covered with film so that dust does not penetrate into other rooms. On the contrary, it is better to open windows wide before starting work. It is necessary to purchase headphones as the device produces a lot of noise. A respirator is used to protect the respiratory system. The process of sanding wooden floors consists of four stages.

The first stage is preparation of the coating. It is necessary to eliminate defects by replacing damaged parts of floor boards or parquet strips. The gaps between the boards are filled with sawdust. Residues of varnish are removed by treating them with a solvent followed by using a scraper. The floor prepared for sanding must be washed and dried for a couple of days.

After this, you can sand the wooden floor. The sanding procedure begins with the use of coarse-grained sanding sheets. They will allow you to remove remnants of the paintwork, remove unevenness and protruding defects. After turning on the machine, you need to carefully place it on the floor and move across the room, trying to keep the device level. Moving straight from wall to wall, you need to treat the entire surface of the room.

Wood with curling (winding arrangement of fibers) is less susceptible to machining. For sanding twisted boards, medium-grain sanding sheets are used. You need to move around the room diagonally, this will provide more smooth surface. After pre-processing the twisted boards, you need to change the sanding sheet to a fine-grained one and repeat processing the entire area with it.

Sanding the floorboards near the walls is the final stage of the procedure. To do this, they usually use a special curb apparatus, with which they scrape the areas of the floor adjacent to the wall. The procedure begins with medium-grained discs, and then the surface is additionally treated with a fine-grained disc.

After completing the work, it is necessary to remove all scraping products by vacuuming and wiping the floor. Next, you can begin applying the varnish coating to the surface of the parquet.

Floor treatment after sanding

After removing the top layer of the floor covering, you must immediately prepare the wooden floor for applying varnish. First, the gaps between the boards are puttied. The putty composition must first be prepared according to the instructions. The paste is applied to all visible holes by hand until they are completely filled. This prevents the subsequent penetration of moisture and dust between the parquet elements. The composition needs time to dry and settle. If necessary, repeat the procedure, leveling the putty layer in areas of subsidence.

Repeated sanding of the seams where the putty was applied is carried out using fine-grained discs to remove protruding excess. After it, you also need to sweep up the dust or vacuum the room.

The first layer of varnish is applied to give the wood strength and durability. The first layer dries within two days. After this, it is necessary to carry out light sanding again for better adhesion and cleaning of the surface.

The last stage of work is applying a second layer of varnish, which will provide a shiny texture to the wood and protect it from premature wear.

Note! On the floors from coniferous species It is not recommended to use water-soluble varnishes, as they are highly absorbed.

For expensive, rare species wooden parquet Apply up to five layers of varnish. The flooring updated in this way will serve its owners for at least another five years. If the floor is pine, it is advisable to distribute the furniture evenly over its surface to avoid overload.

Important Notes

To ensure a high-quality scraping result, you should adhere to the following recommendations. The sanding machine must move continuously and very smoothly along the grain of the wood.

The direction depends on the pattern and method of laying the dies or boards:

  • laying herringbone parquet is scraped at an angle of 45 degrees;
  • with a rectangular pattern, scraping is carried out at a right angle;
  • decorative parquet should be scraped in circles or in a spiral, from the wall to the center of the room.

The final finishing is carried out with a surface grinder along and across the parquet flooring.

IN general case sanding should be carried out by specialists, since it will be problematic for a beginner to level the floor over the entire area and apply it evenly paintwork the first time. However, if the budget does not allow attracting specialists finishing works, then it is quite possible to repair wooden floors yourself.

Natural wood flooring is always relevant. Despite the abundance of various innovative floor coverings on the market, many people still do not see an alternative to the proven wooden flooring. Even despite the fact that it requires periodic maintenance. And this, in turn, involves performing certain activities, one of which is sanding a wooden floor.

Is it possible to scrape the floor with your own hands? I guess, yes! However, first you need to understand what you will actually need to do. Floor scraping means an operation to gently remove the top layer from the surface of a wooden floor. Reasons to do similar work there may be several, for example, eliminating irregularities that arose during the process of floor repairs, including the insertion of new elements.

Note! In the process of removing the top layer, the wooden surface is cleaned of old varnish, wax, oil, paint or other contaminants. Small chips can be removed in the same way.

What tools are needed?

The following tools should be prepared:

  1. Parquet grinding machine (PSM), which in everyday life is called a “scraping machine”.
  2. An angle grinder or a hand scraper designed for surface treatment in hard-to-reach places and corners.
  3. Abrasive material – sandpaper No. 40-120.
  4. Scissors.
  5. Wood putty.
  6. Vacuum cleaner.
  7. Roller and brushes.

Attention! In everyday life, very often people try to make the process of doing work easier for themselves and use an angle grinder. This requires certain skills when using this abrasive tool. Be careful!

This is what a scraper for manually scraping a wooden floor looks like

For people without experience, it is better to use simple scraping machines, which are still left over from the recent “Soviet” past. They are characterized by safe operation, low weight and ease of use. Professionals certainly use a different technique. These are sanders, some of which are designed for fine sanding only, and others only for deep sanding.

Looping machine

The main area is scraped using a drum scraper, visually similar to a lawn mower. Corners and edges are processed with corner scraping.

Important! There is no point in purchasing such specific equipment - sanding a wooden floor with your own hands is rarely done. When the need for these cars arises, you should contact the rental service, and it is better to agree on all the details in advance.

Preparing a wooden floor for sanding

Before you start sanding, you need to assess the condition of the wooden floor. Special attention you need to pay attention to sagging boards - there may be a defect in the support beams. If such a problem occurs, then they must be replaced, as well as thin boards that can easily be split.

Scraping is preceded by a very thorough cleaning

After assessing the basis, you must:

  • Clean the floor with a vacuum cleaner and remove the layer protective coating(for example, mastic) using a washcloth and white spirit.
  • Determine whether communications pass under the floor. If so, secure the boards that provide access to wires or pipelines with brass screws.
  • Check for nails, if any, then press down the protruding heads with a hammer and punch.
  • Prepare wooden strips and scraps with which to fill the gaps between the boards, after smearing them with glue on both sides. After the glue has hardened, the protruding parts must be cleaned with a plane. If necessary, the repair elements are impregnated with stain.

This is followed by puttying and then sanding. sandpaper.

Execution technology and nuances of work

Scraping must be carried out with the mandatory use of personal protective equipment: a respirator, safety glasses, old clothes and a gown. It is better to put cotton swabs or earplugs in your ears. Before turning on grinding machine it is necessary to close the door and seal the cracks in the door frame with insulating tape.

Attention! At the rental company, familiarize yourself with all the intricacies of operating the car provided. For example, clarify how sandpaper is replaced.

First, coarse sandpaper is inserted into the drum of the sanding machine, and then the machine itself is started - work begins from the corner. To work, you need to choose the “diagonal” direction, and you need to make sure that each subsequent path overlaps the previous one. Sanding a plank floor involves very careful attitude to the device: the sandpaper needs to be replaced periodically - during operation it breaks and becomes clogged with dust. In addition, the dust container must be cleaned frequently.

It is necessary to carry out scraping “overlapping”

Since scraping consists of several approaches, each subsequent approach is performed perpendicular to the previous direction. Moreover, each stage involves the use of finer-grit sandpaper. Finally, the scraping is done with fine-grained paper in a direction parallel to the floorboards.

In principle, the scraping process can be considered complete. All that remains is to thoroughly clean the surface of the renewed floor, as well as the baseboards, window and door frames. There is no need to sweep the floor for the next 24 hours to avoid excess dust in the air. And then we do the final cleaning, treatment with white spirit and opening with varnish. That's it, a new beautiful eco-friendly floor from natural wood will continue to delight you with beauty and pleasant sensations.

Wood floors are always relevant. Its attractive appearance combined with pleasant aroma wood serves as the basis for home comfort. However, this requires constant careful maintenance, which involves not only cleaning the surface from dirt, but also returning the “newness” to the appearance.

What is floor scraping

After long service life unsightly scratches, dents and stains appear on the wooden floor structure; in some places the varnish layer and smoothness may be damaged, the color becomes not as bright as it was originally. Then floor scraping comes to the rescue. With its help, various defects are eliminated on wooden flooring.

However, not everyone knows what it means to scrape a floor. In fact, this renovation work, as a result of which the upper layer of the structure is updated. The whole procedure consists of 4 stages:

  • examination of the surface for emerging defects;
  • correction of all irregularities and differences, removal of dirt and old coating;
  • grinding;
  • applying a protective layer.

You need to scrape the floor with a special one, but if you don’t have one, you can do it manually, only this option is more labor-intensive.

Materials and equipment for work

During work you will need the following tools:

  • drum sander;
  • peeling machine;
  • wire pile;
  • abrasive materials;
  • knife for repair work;
  • machine for scraping borders;
  • polyethylene film;
  • brush and roller.

In addition, you need to have one with you that can be used to clean the room from fine dust. When choosing a material for a roller, it is better to choose microfiber; thanks to it, the varnish layer will be applied evenly and efficiently.

Preparatory stage

Before scraping the floor with your own hands, you need to carry out preparatory work in the following order:

  • First you need to remove all the furniture and chandelier from the room. Otherwise, everything will be covered with a large layer of dust.
  • To make the process easier front door, you can remove it. In this case, you need to seal the doorway plastic film to prevent dirt from getting into other rooms.
  • The room should be good ventilation, so it's better to open the window.
  • Then all cracks and scratches should be covered with putty. You also need to check for rotten boards. If there are any, then it is better to replace them. In this case, the screw heads should not stick out, otherwise you can make grinder faulty.
  • Use a wire lint to remove the old coating. To consolidate the effect, you can use a peeling machine with mineral alcohol.
  • Ends preparatory stage Thoroughly wash the floor with plain water or an alcohol solution.

DIY scraping technology

Let's look at how to scrape the floor yourself. It is important to protect your health before work. You need to arm yourself with good construction headphones, because the sound is very loud sanding machine may damage your hearing. It is also worth purchasing a respirator to protect your lungs from large amounts of dust. To dampen the effect of vibration of the device, it is better to wear safety glasses and gloves.

How to sand a wooden floor:

  • You need to insert it into the drum of the machine, then start the tool. You should start working from the corner. Then continue moving in a straight line to the opposite wall.
  • Next, the machine must be deployed in reverse side. While moving, you need to capture an area that has not yet been processed. Thus, each track should overlap slightly with the previous one.
  • You should keep an eye on the sandpaper as you work. It needs to be cleaned when it gets dirty or replaced if the surface is worn down.

Features of scraping

It is important to know that not all wood is processed equally. If the floor is covered with twisted boards, then when moving the sanding machine you need to adhere to the diagonal direction. In order for the surface to be sufficiently smooth, you should go along each path several times. After completing the initial processing of the wood, it is necessary to replace the coarse sandpaper with a medium one, and move the machine parallel to the boards.

The most difficult areas to work with are the areas near the walls. To process them it is used special machine, designed for scraping borders. It is better to start the process using a medium-grain abrasive, gradually moving to finer sandpaper.

Shutdown

After the floor has been completely processed with a sanding machine, you need to walk over it with a dry, clean rag. Then you should begin applying the protective layer. To do this, it is permissible to use varnish for a wooden surface or with tinting to make the floor look more noble. You can also cover it with paint. The main thing is that it is high-quality composition, resistant to moisture, then the floor will last longer.

When choosing a varnish, it is better to give preference to the coating on water based made from polyurethane resins or acrylic. After hardening, it forms a durable film that can withstand heavy loads for a long time. In addition, such varnishes do not have a strong odor.

Usually the floor is covered in several layers. After the first time, you need to wait about an hour until the paint dries, then apply the next one. However, if you cover the surface with four or more layers, this will negatively affect the durability of the paint.

Before starting the sanding machine for the first time, you need to tilt it slightly and turn it on, and then carefully lower it to the floor. In this case, the device can move forward, there is no need to be afraid of this. You need to hold it firmly with both hands.

You should start scraping the floor using a coarse abrasive, reducing the grain size with each layer. Coarse sandpaper allows you to remove bumps and residues old paint, and fine adds shine to the surface.

To avoid getting the cord from the sanding machine under the device, you need to put it on your shoulder and make sure that it is always there.

Cost of work

If there is no opportunity or desire to carry out repairs yourself, then it is better to entrust specialists to scrape the floor. The cost of such a service varies everywhere, as a rule, it starts from 130 rubles per 1 sq. m. m. When ordering work, you need to clarify in advance what is included in its price (materials, delivery of equipment, etc.). The quality of the result obtained and the speed of work depend on the qualifications of the specialist who will scrape the floor.

Renting a car is relatively inexpensive, the price ranges from 600 to 2000 rubles per day. You just need to leave an additional deposit of 10-20 thousand.

If the appearance wooden covering leaves much to be desired, and walking barefoot is accompanied by a feeling of discomfort, then there is a need to restore the damaged surface, which means it’s time to scrape the floor. However, do not forget that it is almost impossible to achieve perfect smoothness, since the work is done with wood. That's why good result there will be a floor that is pleasant to the touch. If you follow all the recommendations listed above, scraping the floor will not be difficult.

Sanding a floor with your own hands is a process that requires a lot of time and a lot of effort. There is no material that can compare with natural wood neither in terms of quality indicators, nor in terms of external data. Of course, a house with a wooden floor is not only environmentally friendly, but aesthetically pleasing and cozy. However, after a few years, not a trace remains of its former beauty. If we talk about walls, then you can somehow revive them using varnishes, then flooring needs major resuscitation. Experienced builders They will say that you can’t do without scraping here. So let's get to work.

Scraping a wooden floor: work sequence

The most the best way restoration of a damaged wooden floor is the use of sanding and further coverage varnish surfaces. But please note right away that this method is expensive and labor-intensive. Therefore, before you jump at this option, consider all the possible costs.

The scraping of a wooden floor must be carried out sequentially

If you still decide to do this, then the action plan consists of 10 steps:

  1. All furniture must be removed, baseboards must be dismantled, and the floor must be swept with a dry broom. After this, using a vacuum cleaner, completely clean the surface of construction dust and debris.
  2. We fill the drum of the machine with sandpaper and go over the area several times. The work should start from the farthest wall and slowly approach the base, which will be used most often during repairs.
  3. If varnish stains remain on the surface, they should be removed using circular movements from the base to the center. At this stage, it is advisable to use a special machine for grinding corners.
  4. The same machine can remove varnish that remains in the niches. It peels off with pendulum movements.
  5. Final grinding is carried out using a surface grinder. Initially, they go over the entire base, after which corners and niches are processed.
  6. At this stage, the putty base is mixed. To do this, be sure to use a putty spatula. The entire base must be treated evenly.
  7. After this base has dried, floor base smoothed with a drum with sandpaper. In hard-to-reach places, you can use a sanding machine.
  8. This stage consists of applying varnish. After it dries, you will need to remove the pile that has risen.
  9. Next, using an industrial vacuum cleaner, you need to clean the entire floor and walls.
  10. The last step is to apply the varnish a second time. There should be several of them, and each of them is applied only after the previous one has dried.
